Greeted by Nick who looked after our requests , served by Chris perfectly. Always a good experience when we visit . Thanks for your hospitality guys . Food was amazing as always .

Was sort of ok was stood for 20 mins waiting to be seated was sat next to a swinging door that never stopped banging even though all tables were free near enough, staff had fake smiles all the time made me feel uncomfortable was told id have someone explain things and that didn't happen got a steak and literly it was a steak and chips nice decor but thats why you pay so much for the silly decor they put in not the food would I go back maybe but wouldn't be my first choice

Not been for a while to this restaurant but the entire meal was superb. Starters, mains and cocktails all delicious. The service was friendly and efficient.

We had the best meal & server Jacob however the female staff need to be trained in manners and customer service the couple next to me had faults with most courses the female staff were not sympathetic whereas Jacob was. Gist time in this chain for us an a good experience however it has left us with a taint due to the service the diners next to us received !

We were at this restaurant to celebrate my grandson's birthday and it didn't disappoint we started the ball rolling by ordering a bottle a Veurve Cliequot Champagne very nice, the starter was lobster tails they where delicious and the the main course we shared a châteaubriand medium steak for good measure, and we had a brownie to die for. Utterly consistent high quality steak restaurant chain regardless of which one you choose. Well presented food and relaxed but elegant surroundings. We ordered a shared steak dish and although I asked if the chef was accurate re what a medium to well done steak was it still came out medium rare and we had to send it back. Service want brilliant and no steak ‘expert’ served us. That aside it was a pleasant evening.

Less than satisfactory visit - Ordered 2 well done filet steaks both came wrong originally, sent them back for them to be given again wrong so had to send back twice, once is bad enough but twice is ridiculous. We were then charged £92 when the bill should have been £76 - my partner ordered half rack of ribs with his steak we were told they didn’t have them but then 2 portions were listed on the bill? We only realised after paying as we were just told the total price without seeing a bill as were leaving (will not make this mistake again) and then asked for an itemised bill after (which the server seemed slightly reluctant to give) to realise this mistake. Nick the manager was happy to sort this out and provide some compensation but this should really not be happening in the first place. This was a Sunday evening and it was not busy in the restaurant.

Always guaranteed great food never disappointed, table was stuck in far corner not great position looking at a wall! But.. Great service from staff as always!! Especially Aarron.

We are always drawn to the Miller and Carter when we visit Chester. The food is second to none as is the service, Joe at the bar mixing cocktails and having a chat and Joanne looking after us on the table especially when we needed help with the wine, she recommended "Old vine Zinfandel", it was spot on. See you again in October.

Hi We visited last night 1 hour for a main course kept asking and being told it’s being plated up. We eventually said if it’s not here in 5 minutes then we were leaving . It came my rare steak was cold Apparently it had been left on the side . I told them and they brought me a new steak and more fries as an apology. Why would I want more fries. We finished and was asked did we want dessert we explained that we didn’t want to wait another hour for it so we had better say no. She didn’t say it won’t be that long so u fortunately you the company lost out on dessert. I’m so appalled that we didn’t get a proper apology and wasn’t even given chance to speak to a manager about this. Yes the steak eventually was beautiful and had spent over £100 as we had wine and drinks as well

Amazing service first our waitress Shell was fantastic professional knowledgeable polite and attentive she is one of a kind. The Food was amazing and and the ambiance was just fight. I look forward to coming back very soon.

This was our first visit to a Miller and Carter and we came away very impressed. The restaurant is very comfortable and dimly lit which we really liked. Food was rich and filling. Only thing I didn’t appreciate was trying to be persuaded to have the steak more rare. I like it burnt to a crisp and that’s that! The restaurant was lovely and cool at the entrance but further in was quite stifling. Our server was a delight but as we were sat opposite the kitchen with a frosted screen separating us from it one of the waitresses insisted on coming and leaning against it throughout our meal several times. We felt having this big shadow pressed up against us wasn’t very professional and felt like someone waiting at a bus stop. Aside from this we enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend
