Lovely peaceful coffee, very tasty baking. Lovely buildings well used. Beautiful scenery as well. I would imagine this little find would be busy in the summer

What a quirky, brilliant place to chill out and spend some time. Staff are so friendly and helpful - Cammie and Audrey really go the extra mile. Food was a delight and dont think you can get a better pizza in Scotland. Salads were fresh and zingy, local mackeral perfectly cooked and you can take the guitars off the wall and jam ! The kids loved the chalk boards and were able to see their pizzas being made and put in the oven. Thanks Chris we will be back.

Lovely wood fired pizza. Great to find a local place that does really tasty unusual and classic pizzas. It’s open until 9pm and does both takeaway pizza as well as sitting in.

Perhaps the best pizza dough I've ever had, extraordinary depth of flavour. Talking to the chef, it is proved for three days from Scottish flour. Three pizzas between 4 was more than enough. Excellent choice of toppings. A lovely salad, not on the menu, was rustled up. The fennel slaw is a must. Good coffee to round of the meal. Service great and friendly

We came looking for the brewery, which was shut, but we’re so glad we stopped into The Mill House. We got a really warm welcome and a decent coffee, but best of all was one of the best Pizza’s we’d had anywhere. It’s hard to get Margherita right, but this was perfect - if you’re in the area stop by if only for that! We’ll be back on a market day next time!

Found by accident, just caught the cafe sign as passed by, so turned round and back in, and I must say it was well worth it!! Beautiful smoked haddock chowder and great pizza. Fabulously friendly service, good prices. All in all a great place, well worth stopping by.

We arrived at half 4 on a wet Sunday afternoon for takeaway pizzas (half an hour before it was due to close) After seeing how lovely it was inside we poured the kids out of the car and went in for a meal. The staff were absolutely lovely, nothing was a bother and showed our kids the kitchen and where the pizzas would be cooked. The pizzas themselves were fantastic - the best we’ve ever eaten! I had the local pork, pepperoni and jalapeño. Also on the menu were lovely fish dishes and burgers. Home baking was spot on too. They sell local produce, most homegrown, jams, honey and lovely soft drinks. Well worth a visit!

My wife and I visited here in August. A beautiful setting with pizzas to match, and very friendly staff. Will definitely go again.

We missed the turning first time but eventually found it. We were the only customers when we arrived but I'm sure they are busy when the market is on. We all had the large wood fired pizzas and agreed that they were delicious. My 11 year old said it was the best pizza he's ever had in a restaurant. The manager even offered one of the pizzas for free because it was a wee bit smaller than the others. Of course, we happily paid for it anyway as it was so good. We'll definitely pop in for lunch again in future.

What a great find, just outside St. Monans and Elie, this restaurant is part of Bowhouse, a collection of small local food producers and regular market building championing local produce. The menu is small but perfectly thought out, just a few pizzas and otehr dishes created with fresh ingredients. Pizzas were excellent, cooked on a wood fired oven and offered in full size or half size for kids or smaller appetites. We chose pulled pork and pepparoni, roasted veg and our kids had the half size cheese and tomato. Restaurant had a nice feel with big solid wooden rustic tables and bench seats, in a converted barn. Service was also excellent, the chap that served us was incredibly nice and helpful, chatted with out children and made them feel at home and went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. Talking to the very nice guy who served us, they are still working on their set up and offering, but my advice would be not to change a thing, great food, environment and service. Will definitely be back when we're next in the area, a bit of a hidden gem at the moment, but well worth a visit if you're in the Elie/St Monans area.

Second visit to Mill House - excellent again. A braised Balcaskie pork and a roasted veg. Both great appearance and everything very fresh. Lovely service. Will be back soon.

Very good freshly made wood-fired pizzas with traditional toppings and some different ones such as pulled pork and chutney, which was absolutely delicious. Half-sized (and half-priced) kids pizzas. Very friendly and efficient service from Cammy. They’ve only been open a few months and deserve to succeed with such good pizzas. Apparently they will soon also be offering local beers and cider. Lovely setting and even made their own rustic tables. The pizza bases much better than most other pizza restaurants.

Amazing pizzas and made fresh whilst you wait. If you're in a rush, pre order and it can be ready for collection! I decided to wait and was allowed to have my dog in the downstairs cafe area. Only waited about 10 minutes. Definitely recommend!!

Had a great evening meal in the Mill house café at Bowhouse. The ambience is rustic but it is very clean and tidy and really works well for it's location. They don't have a drinks licence yet but you are welcome to bring your own booze, they hope to get their licence shortly. All the pizza's we tried were excellent probably the best i have ever had. The staff were really nice without being over attenuative. The apple and fennel slaw is a must try.

Great new Pizza place with rustic environment. Pizzas were freshly made on wood burn pizza oven so very tasty. Pizzas quite unique in recipes and content served with tasty sides ( if you want them). Great service by the small team fronted by Cammy, nothing too much trouble. It’s also a great coffee shop too and you can bring your dog (downstairs only) too. Based at Bowhouse near St Monans. We will be calling in again shortly. Jim and Sue

We were in for a family celebration on Saturday and it was an all round brilliant experience. The food was really tasty, well presented and generous portions. The staff were friendly, good humoured and efficient too.
