Great food, really lovely resturant

Very little can be done dairy free which is really disappointing in this day and age. I was offered a gluten free alternative, which is not the same as dairy free, and eventually managed to figure out a risotto dish. Server forgot to put my order in with the rest of our party so everyone else ate while I went hungry, she did apologise for this and did offer me a drink on the house. Once my food arrived, it was bland and borderline inedible; it did not taste fresh and was not the typical Italian eating experience I expected. The food is not worth the prices (£18.99 for a bowl of rice and veggies is ridiculous), the rest of the staff were really rude and kept rolling their eyes at our table and one straight up refused to serve us. Not a true Italian experience, don't recommend. Plenty of other great Italian restaurants within walking distance of here.

Cozy place with tasty food. One of the best tiramisu we have tasted. Service is good. Might need to pay to park on the street.

Wow what a restaurant, from the welcome we received, excellent staff, food out of this world transported me back to Italy. Also communication before our visit was brilliant nothing was too much trouble.

More like mediocre pub grub than restaurant food

Our first visit to this wonderful bistro. Amazing service ethic backed up by some incredible cooking. First class in every way! Fresh mussels were stunning and the King prawn linguine was amazing.

Great food, reasonably priced worth a visit

We decided to try here for lunch as it had been many years since we were last there. The lady at the front door wasn't very welcoming at all and just pointed at a table; I didn't even hear her speak. The food was ok but not great, and we both thought the main courses were very salty. It was quite expensive for what we had. The same lady was at the door when we left, and just kind of stared at us when we said thanks and goodbye.

Very disappointing meal this evening, with less than courtesy service.

Been a while since being here, great refurbishment, fantastic food really pleasant and friendly staff. Great value, will definitely be back.

Me and my wife booked here for a Saturday night as not been for a long time and remembered good last time,All changed inside more space and clean and modern.The food we had was excellent and will go back in future,no complaints about anything.

The maitre d's pathological obsession with 2 hour table slots completely overshadows everything else here. Never seen a man more uptight and making everyone else around him uptight too. The all-young staff that I witnessed him haranguing (bullying you could say) seemed uncomfortable and embarrassed. We'd already been 'warned' about the max 2 hrs for your table when making then confirming the booking. It's a common enough thing and we were off to the theatre afterwards so we wouldn't have lingered for that long anyway. So not a big deal, for us anyway. When we arrived, there was the maitre d almost Basil-Fawlty style with his clipboard. No 'hello', 'how are you?, 'have you had a nice day? No, just straight in with the 'you do know you only have the table for 2 hors don't you?'. We put his mind at rest and waited to be seated. 2 mins later the girl who took us to our table mentioned the 2 hr rule again. We laughed and said blimey we get the message. She apologised and said the manager made them say that when seating people. Unbelievably, the girl who came for our drinks order a few mins later mentioned the 2 hr rule again! She said the manager had asked her to so there would be no misunderstanding! We thought about leaving but decided, well we're here now and don't want to have go hunting for someone else before our show. Plus it was 50%, but also 50% comical. After that the food was ok, not especially good or bad just standard trattoria-style, and service ok too. Wouldn't dream of eating here again and very surprised by it's high ranking in Aberdeen.

Food, both starters and mains were amazing. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Just ask nothing is too much trouble. Wine excellent. We will definitely go back next time we are in Aberdeen.

Went here as recommended and tripadvisor reviews good. So looking forward to it but we were thoroughly disappointed. Starters were ok though the mushroom and spinach starter was a really messy dish to eat (avoid if on a date!). Both had pasta dishes for main course. Pasta was tasteless and watery. Really unexpected in an Italian restaurant. Neither of us finished main course and no one asked if we’d enjoyed our dinner so we just paid and left. The only highlight was the Sicilian red wine - delicious. There are definitely better restaurants in Aberdeen so won’t return here.

Mi Amore holds a special place in my partner and I’s hearts, it’s the restaurant where we had our first date, and we have kept going back since… 4 years later, the food is still delicious, the staff are exceptional and couldn’t ask for a better Italians to visit for a tasty scran! Highly recommend the pollo Milanese, it’s our go to and so tasty, and a free shot to finish it off, what more could you ask for? Definitely worth a visit, and we will definitely be going back!

After a rocky start of turning up having booked for a birthday meal and not having they us down they found a table thankfully. Everything after this was super. Great food and very reasonably priced. Kindly sang happy birthday and lit my desert up with a candle. If back in Aberdeen would definitely return.

A busy evening in the restaurant but still had excellent customer care and exquisite meals. I have frequented this restaurant on many occasions and have always received an excellent service and fabulous food. Gradually working my through their menu, although they do make changes, so will still have to visit!

On Saturday my friends and I had amazing meal at Mi amore food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful during this time . I can recommend 100% to everyone to visit this place .

Mi Amore is simply my favourite restaurant in Aberdeen. At Xmas all my friends loved our meal, and tho it was busy, the service was as always outstanding. It was no different this week for my birthday, everything was perfect! For romantic dinner or friends reunion, they always smashed it.

Took my boyfriend for a surprise birthday meal. 1st time I've been. Was a lovely evening. Quite busy when we arrived at quarter past 7, so it took a little while for us to get seen to once seated, but we ordered our drinks and food and were served promptly after. Drinks were great, with a thoughtful care shown with presentation. Starters came out surprising quick, but were delicious. I highly recommend the mussels, but would suggest ordering extra garlic bread to soak up the delicious stock/sauce. 😋 Mains were tasty too, and dessert was nice. Nice presentation again. The Pollo Milanese was enormous and perfectly cooked. The other dishes were lovely. They were very understanding about members of party who suffer from hearing disabilities and gave us a quiet area away from loudspeakers.

Booked for a table of 6 on Friday and we were not disappointed. Lovely clean and cosy and the smell in the air give you an Instant appetite. We went here at lunchtime on Sunday. We walked in off the street but were given a lovely intimate table looking out the window. The restaurant was very busy with Christmas groups..families mostly. Atmosphere was friendly..Nice bubble of chatter but we could still hear each other talk. We ordered from the Christmas menu...we both had the calamari to start with then the veal and steak main with the most delicious sauce ever! Both courses were divine...super fresh..perfectly cooked and seasoned and good portion sizes. I had a tasty full bodied red wine. The front of house staff were well turned out..polite friendly and obviously well trained. The gentleman in charge was also very smart...friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The decor is modern tasteful. The whole experience was fantastic. I cannot wait to go back. 10 out of 10

I have never been here before but I look forward to going back. The food here was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, full of flavours, the Mi Amore special just melted in your mouth. They have a good selection of wines and everything was reasonably priced.

Good value lunch menu with good service and atmosphere.

From the outside to inside it’s a beautiful place, we turned up at lunch time when it was just about to open, there was someone there to greet us on arrival, the restaurant was warm, beautiful and cosy. It looked lovely and we were seated straight away. The service was brilliant from start to finish. The lunch menu of two courses for £14.99 is a great deal, I had the calamari to start which was lovely and I then had the carbonara which was amazing. My friend had the ravioli and it was amazing too! (In photos) Great portion sizes & I couldn’t finish it all due to having surgery previous my stomach is only teeny now so I asked to take mine in a doggy bag hole they boxed it all up nice for me to take home. A wonderful Italian with an extensive menu and something for everyone.

Used to be very authentic and nice. Now it has changed in both flavours and service.

A party of approx twenty had a wonderful evening on the upper level of this great restaurant. All of our party, including young children, were giving top marks for the quality of food, the exceptionally helpful and polite staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant....

Nothing Italian, the arrabiata pasta was simply soaked in water and not boiled, the carbonara (Ahahaha) was floating in the cream, the mortadella from the cutting board was not good (mortadella is a very tasty and cheap cured meat but it should be consumed by two or three days after opening), no sense of Italian hospitality but then none of the staff were Italian including the owner. a table for four people adapted for five, we are served starter and main course all together and at the same time the waitress asks us if we wanted coffee. Absurd. A Sunday evening to forget

This is an excellent and exquisite Italian restaurant in the west end of aberdeen. The set menu for lunches at £14.99 has something for everyone. Easy parking nearby if you are driving.
