Meze Meze in Adur

What a great place. For a small village, this place is a must to visit. A group of 6 visited for supper on a Friday night. The place was packed. The staff were great, really helpful, attentive & had a good sense of humour. If you're hungry, this is the place to visit, the portions are BIG ! Will deffo be making a return visit.

Super food and lovely staff! The mixed veggie Meze starters was beautifully presented and so tasty, my mousakka divine and huge (I was given a takeaway container full to take home)!l, and a perfectly chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc….a fab Friday night! My only question is, why have I driven past it for so many years without visiting!!!!

Like Katy S, we went to one of their Christmas Party nights with live music - what a fantastic evening! I'm half Greek so I know my Greek food, everything in the extremely generous set meze meal was delicious, some of the tastiest Greek food we have had, from the first course right through to desserts. Also brilliant was the Greek musician, and it was great to see the couple who originally opened this restaurant there as guests, leading the dancing. And as ever, the hosts were so warm, welcoming and attentive. Ten stars!

Ten of us came for a work Christmas dinner. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the staff were very friendly and efficient. It's a great location with lots of nearby parking. Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful meal at Meze Meze last night. We decided to join them for one of their Christmas celebration evenings and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, and such good value. We took some older relatives who were delighted to find that they serve Retsina. The service was super, such a family vibe. We can’t wait to come back.

Booked the restaurant whilst visiting friends in Worthing, staff where very friendly and helpful even offered to bring out a ramp for the single step outside, as my wife is in a wheelchair. The food was delicious, and plentiful! Would highly recommend! Décor come be a little more Greek 👍

I have been to Meze Meze several times now and absolutely love it. The food is fantastic, so generous and great value. A fab team work there, always welcoming, professional and make the whole experience special. This is one place I will keep returning to over and over again.

So excited to write this review! Have been to Meze Meze many times, most recently in Aug for a joint birthday bash, food was top notch - as always but the service is second to none. (Please ignore the idiot reviews below, clearly unreasonable people - Sandra couldn't be more helpful if she tried). Going tonight (hence excitment) and can't wait!!! BTW - the Moussaka is heavenly!!!

First time coming here to dine and will definitely be coming back. We ordered the meat meze and veggie meze to share. It was amazing. So much food, all amazing quality. The waiter was so informative to what each dish was and really spent the time talking to us and answering questions. Can not fault anything. Service was great.

Before we discovered Meze Meze, we used to visit many different restaurants, however now this is our go to place whatever the occasion… Such good value, genuine delicious Greek food and always a friendly welcome, nothing is too much trouble… A lovely gem in Lancing, and we have seen it grow in popularity so much that it is often fully booked… You won’t be disappointed

Amazing restaurant, easily the best place locally. The food is always gorgeous and I very highly recommend the boureki! We were treated so beautifully, they let us decorate the table for a friends birthday and made it so special. Thank you for an amazing night, we will definitely be back very soon!

Returned to our favourite restaurant for a joint birthday celebration and we had the very best time. The food was delicious as always - the boureki is incredible and the veggie meze is unbeatable. Sandra and her family always make us feel so welcome and they made such a fuss of us, even decorating our table and singing happy birthday. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful place in Lancing and can’t wait for our next visit.

Having been there this weekend and witnessing a family being turned away due to a booking problem, we were very impressed with the way the staff handled the abusive behaviour. Food was amazing and service even better, will definitely be back 😁

Be prepared to be turned away even if you have booked a table. We booked a table for four three weeks ago but on arrival restaurant was full. They said they had tried to contact us on the day to advise our table no longer available. Can only assume they felt they would get more money with a bigger party. Not only did we feel embarrassed in front of the customers but this is not a professional way to run a business. We will not be returning.

Booked 3 weeks ago, arrived to be told, "tried ringing us all day to confirm booking as table now not available". So assumed we've been bumped for a later booking

we rang & booked a table for 4 at least 2 weeks ago, on arrival we were told there was no table available for us & they had been trying to ring us to tell us so ,we argued that we had made booking & had not had any calls from them.The whole episode was treated very shabily & we were made to feel it was all our fault Found the whole episode very upsetting & will not return

We were really stuck for places to eat at 9.30pm and even though this restaurant was closing soon, they cheerfully welcomed us in, explaining that a few dishes were unavailable and the cooking time for some of those that were still available. The food was gorgeous, the wine chilled, the atmosphere lovely and the staff were attentive and really friendly. Highly recommend :)

Having been recommended by friends we ordered a delivery (one day in advance , which was great as delivered exactly the time we wanted). Have been visiting Meze Meze for almost 6 years, in all that time we have never had a bad meal at lunch or dinner - the food, staff and overall experience are excellent - plenty of vegetarian options and the owner is always on hand to offer knowledgeable advice and guidance on the menu if required

We go to Meze Meze fairly regularly and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Indeed, when we go, the restaurant make provision for providing beds of rice for us which is not on the menu but going beyond. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Huge party attended, such great food for the price too... Service was top notch. I had the cheesy garlic bread, meatballs and then chocolate cake... Loved it all. Will be coming back for sure.

Party of 3 visited evening of Wednesday 23rd October 2019. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and large portions. The Moussaka was amazing and for once a proper meal size dish. Meal for three with drinks cost £70 (Using a taste card we got one starter and one main free). Highly recommend.

I've lived in Lancing for 7 years, my husband has lived there all his life and we'd not been to Meze Meze yet.Having just come back from Greece we though'd we'd give it a go.This little place did not dissapoint. We booked in the afternoon for a Friday night table.While we were eating they were turning people away! Some very good reviews about this place. Drive past this restaurant quite often when we are down this way and looks very busy, so we thought we'd try it out and we were not disappointed. Friendly helpful staff, we knew what we ordered as we recently been to Cyprus and have got to say the food was very nearly spot on. Excellently cooked and good potions we were not disappointed. Good atmosphere but was slightly to noisy at times but it did not put us off. Highly recommended and would definitely come here again. Excellent.

Visited here for the first time in 6 years with another couple of friends. Wow wow wow ! The meze starters were tasty authentic and varied. We had a variety of mains and deserts too and they were all so good. Can't fault any aspect of our evening. Reasonably priced. Good atmosphere and attentive staff.

Tonight we had the meat meze, you can’t fault the food here, really authentic Greek food, we started with dips and pitta then Greek salad, halloumi, lunza, Cypriot sausage and meat balls, then came grilled meats and lemon roast potatoes and roasted vegetables, it was all delicious.

I hadn’t been to Meze Meze in 10 years as last time I went the food was not that good but I thought as it was still going it must have improved. It hadn’t. All the meat was either dried out or in the case of the ham/bacon slice in the Meze it was raw (what was it doing there?)

At last a proper Greek restaurant. What a discovery. A really varied menu and reasonable prices eg starters at £4.50. We decided on the Meat Meze all round and boy one needs to be really hungry to cope with this one. Cold starters first although the dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) were hot. Then the hot ones served with a really nice Greek Salad with a dressing that was just right. We were already pretty full and still dipping into the delicious taramasalata - we thought that and the hummus were home-made. Then the mains arrived lamb shank barbecued pieces of chicken and more. All accompanied by potatoes and grilled vegetables. Well it pretty well defeated us so we took what was left back home with us.

A wonderful evening. Pretty surroundings, good friendlytable service and wonderful food. Would go again!

Seeing a close friend in lancing,who had booked the restaurant.we arrived about 12.30

we booked a table for 6 of us on a Saturday lunch time. I had family down and decided to take them here. 4 of us had the meet Meze and 2 had fish Meze. The food and service was fantastic. Every one enjoyed and every one said it had been the best Greek Meal they had had. We will defiantly be returning i had meat Meze and will defiantly will be trying the fish next time as it looked amazing the food just kept coming. We all had to go for a walk along the sea front to walk it off afterwards.

I visited with quite a large group of friends. Having not been before, my husband and I opted for the two course meat Meze, to give ourselves a bit of an overall experience. The started was pretty huge and the main equally so, although I doubt that it would be a meal of our choice again, as all in all, it was quite dry and slightly hard work to eat. The fish Meze, which some of our friends had, appeared to be a good option. Some the more saucy based dishes also looked nice.

Heard about this place & decided to give it a go,it seemed popular, the menu was quite varied , plenty of choices for starters & mains, we chose a mixed platter to start ,when it was served it was substantial, various meats & fish along with flat bread & dips, main courses we chose meatballs wth roast potatoes & chicken with lemon & herbs, both meals well presented and enjoyed, a very nice atmosphere, all was needed was to be in Greece,would definitely recommend & will visit again

Visited this place on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews, and wasn't disappointed from a food and service point of view. Had the meze platter for starters which was fantastic, then the sheftalia for main (a main reason for going) - as good as if I was eating them in Cyprus. Brilliant. Brandy sour afterwards, fantastic. Let down slightly by a very rowdy table of women next to us who enjoyed swearing and talking as loudly as they could, plus no Keo beer as they'd run out, but all in all a lovely meal and will return.

We arrived at Meze Meze to be told our reservation was in the diary for the previous night. As we both work evenings we would not have booked for a week night so this was not our mistake, but there was no apology or acknowledgement from the waitress. We were given a table, call me sensitive, slightly reluctantly!

We went to celebrate a friends birthday. This was our first visit to this restaurant. Very authentic Greek food which was very tasty. Wine was reasonably priced and the service was very good. Having said that there was a long wait between the first course and the main course. It is essential to book a table here. If you like Greek food give it a try. We would return.

Very quiet on a Saturday lunchtime. Had the option of a fixed price menu but went for two souvlakis and they were both excellent. Very good value, friendly service and relaxed interior.

Good old trip advisor does it again! We don’t know the area very well, but wanted to eat out and eat well. Everything about Meze-Meze was a delight, from the warm welcome and service, to the delicious food. The portions were very generous( and we both have good appetites), really tasty, and excellent value for money. It is the sort of place I would like to have as my local restaurant. When we next come down to visit family, we will bring them all here. Every time.
