The best, silkiest, creamiest hummus I have ever had!!!

Great food and service, was really happy with everything we ordered: lahmacun, liver and ribs. Also has a parking space in front, super convenient!

Went for my birthday after hearing about it for the best part of a decade. The food was phenomenal, the service great - they really looked after us. It's quite a big place though so unless it's packed out, it misses a bit of atmosphere. All in all fantastic.

I found a very delicious Turkish restaurant on my way back from a trip to South London! The boss and chefs were very friendly and recommended delicious meals to us, allowing us to choose our meals directly next to the oven~ This time, the two of them chose two meals, grilled lamb + chicken skewers, and Turkish pizza. The portions were very generous, and two adult women couldn't finish them! The roasted lamb and chicken taste very fragrant, the meat is plump and chewy, and the side dishes on the side are very satisfying. After eating a whole plate, I still have a lot of aftertaste! The texture of the Turkish-style pizza is also very chewy, with a solid flour texture and a very satisfying feeling! It’s also a very recommended dish~ Overall, both the food and the atmosphere are excellent. I will visit again next time!

Run like a military operation exellent service and decor. Shame about the lighting and thick black mould all above the toilets. Hope I don't get sick from it. Also dangerous big screw sticking out of entrance door

Went for a Work Christmas meal and was pleasantly surprised. Good service and great tasting food. My only gripe is that it is a little on the expensive side for what you're getting. £19 for two kebabs a little salad is a bit excessive!

The food was very good. The service was a little lacklustre. The restaurant was empty when we arrived around 1630 so I thought it a little strange that they wanted the table back by 6. A few more tables were occupied but nowhere near full so a bit strange. The bathrooms downstairs are damp and cold with black mould growth on the ceilings. Not pleasant.

The food here is always great, as is the service. I have only been for lunch in the winter, as it is quite cold in there, hence the low atmosphere score. On a busy evening or during the summer, i am sure it would be a 3 x 5 score

The portions are big. The food is tastier than in Turkey. And the prices are good. I recommend you to try.

This place use to be so good. Now they are serving off shish meat that absolutely stinks you can smell it’s off and still blaming the seasoning claiming that’s what it is. Off meat can cause food poisoning it’s not on!!! The lahmacun was tasteless. This place has gone down hill. I wouldn’t eat in that place again!!! Keep away!!!

We had our Xmas dinner party here.. great service and the food was amazing... Well cooked crispy, breads... Hummus, tzatziki dips were great but the tomato spicy salsa dip which our waiter recommended was out of this world...goes perfectly with all of our meals...starters and mains... Bread was yummy... Nice selection of desserts too... Regarding pricing... Perhaps I should have asked if there were packages for Xmas parties... Next time... Thank you. All very friendly and parking and the front of the restaurant... Bonus!

Held a family function at this restaurant, they were attentive to all our guests, hot and tasty food came out in good time, the restaurant was clean warm and welcoming, the staff were professional and polite, We had a really nice evening and will for sure be revisiting this establishment in the near future.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this family run restaurant, I am simply comparing it to other restaurants that are similar and I felt that it was only OK in comparison. It is fairly priced and a spacious and clean restaurant but I didn't finish my food and the selection of drinks was unimpressive (no cocktail menu).

Great local restaurant, friendly and consistent. I mainly use it for takeaway so can't comment too much on atmosphere. Staff are helpful and friendly.

You will not eat better humus anywhere else on the planet. Their starter menu alone is a thing of beauty. The proprietors/staff are so onpoint, that if Gordon Ramsay came in to help, they'd teach him how it's done.

The restaurant was too cold. The food wasn't delicious but too oily. Grilled halloumi wasn't grilled but fried. The restaurant used to be good but unfortunately this time it was a let down.

The atmosphere inside is really relaxed and the waiting staff are quite friendly. Food is excellent and authentic Turkish as you would expect. Before you do order starters, make sure you'll have enough room for mains :D

Been going here for years and it’s 100% the best Turkish food in London (I’ve tried the ones on Green Lanes and Kingsland Road). Love the open BBQ cooking and the wood fired oven for bread and pizzas. Our favourite dish is the mixed mezze but the kebabs and Pides are also exceptional. Such lovely fresh food, generous portions and attentive service. Never lets us down.

We live locally and love coming to Mez Mangal, the food is fantastic, portion sizes are very generous, so you won't be leaving hungry! The service is also great, and the wine equally good. We will certainly be back again soon :)

Outstanding as always. Fantastic, family run restaurant serving south east London for decades. You know exactly what you are getting and quality of food remains the same. Don’t over order generous portions! We had a few starters and then lamb chops served with all sorts of salads. Lovely vibe and most importantly - the team behind it. Check up you are ok with everything without being over bearing. They give you honest reflections on your food and don’t try to get you to over order. Fab fresh tasting food. I’ve been going here nearly twenty years and will go again! And again!

Food was good, but eyewateringingly, outrageously expensive - especially for a restaurant in Deptford/lewisham. Cost over 75 pounds for 2 people - wont be able to go out for a while again

The staff was extremely helpful and attentive price of food was good value the salads and portions sizes was big enough Just for me I felt it lacked spice some of my food tasted smoked but lacked spices besides that I really enjoyed myself Would I go back? Yes

I have raved to my friends how wonderful the food here is and we decided to go. I has the kalamar which was sadly rather rubberey. My friends thoroughly enjoyed there starters, hummus and Hallumi. Decent sized portions too. For main I had cop shish along with my friend who asked for hers well done. Both meals were very well done and as I wanted mine 'normal' I wasn't impressed. As mine was very well done I couldn't eat it. When the server asked us if the food was ok I told him mine was over-cooked for my liking. We were given a small dessert wine, on the house. The portions were a good size but sadly, inedible to me. I have known to 2 brothers who own the restaurant for more years than I care to remember but sadly I will not be going back 😔

Great place. Have been coming there for years. Some time ago they had a bit of drop in a quality, but I'm glad it was only temporary as food and service is top notch.

Accessible to everyone, booking necessary especially for dinner. Very highly recommended. As good as ever few years after last review!

Rubbish everything it was first time for me and my friend going to this restaurant and the put in our bill £45 extra our order + £25 service charge I don't know I can't talk for the taste 🤮🤮🤮 the men who service to our table he was super rude 😔 anyway I am not happy to spend there £300+ for a Rubbish.....🤮🤮

I made an order online, waited for 45 minutes, then the deliver driver turned up at my door to explain to me that the restaurant didn't have the food. Be mindful when order from this restaurant as may not have the food to fulfil orders they receive and don't have the decency to let you know about it. First and clearly the last time I order food from this Restaurant.

Last time I visited here was 5 years ago and a lot must of changed.I ordered chickhen and got massive chunks of chickhen with no marination and it was just dry and horrible. I asked for some garlic sauce to try and dress it myself and they didn’t have any,we ordered lamb shish and was chewy and pink inside.we sat right at the back next to where they have dirty plates hatch and every time they opened it I could smell bins. I wanted to throw up the whole time I was there.we ordered cold meze plate and it looked like something that was about to go in the bin,everything was mixed with eachother and looked sickening we didn’t even touch it.I would never visit again.

Can’t believe this is just around the corner from us! Very welcoming and attentive service. Sat near the bbq with all the amazing smells! Meat is super succulent and juicy! Worth the visit. We will definitely be coming back bringing all our friends.

The food was lovely and big portions I had to take home a doggy bag the only thing is you had to wait a while for your food but a busy popular restaurant. People are very friendly.

我们两个饭量小的女生点了一个热前菜，就是菜单的第一个那个3.5镑的披萨，点了一个主食22镑的那个32号的那个。完全吃不完，分量蛮大的。每桌都配了新疆那种烤馕，不是评论里所谓的面包。那个披萨其实是卷饼的吃法，特意给我们上了一碟辣酱，和沙拉一起卷进去卷进去味道很棒。肉烤的很嫩，味道不错，沙拉很有异国特色，但很符合我的中国胃，好吃，推荐。

Service was quick Manager offered us a deal discount. Waited for short time to be able to park in front of the restaurant but one can find free parking close by just walkable distance.

I visited the restaurant and was surprised with the customer service that me and my husband received. The car park was full so I called the restaurant to query where we could park and the person on the phone said to me I have no idea where you can park apart from the car park, we found parking on the off street roads. We entered the restaurant chose a table in the corner of the restaurant which was next to the stove and we were given our main food over the counter which I was surprised. We were given our drinks and plain bread at the table by a waiter. I then asked for sauces to go with the bread and was given a chilli sauce I then asked for a yoghurt sauce which I never got but there was a scoop of plain yoghurt on both of our main plates to which we were confused it wasn’t even like the typical yogurt creamy sauce which you would receive at a Turkish restaurant. We then asked the chef where our rice and fries were and his response was did you order it and we said yes we did that’s what we are waiting on. I’m really disappointed as there are a-lot of Turkish restaurants in the area so it’s pretty competitive and we have not had this experience before. My husband works in the food and customer service industry so this was quite disappointing.

We only visit here a couple of times a year when we are visiting family. We usually have a meze to share for a starter. I usually have chicken for a main and it is always cooked to perfection. One of our party tried the swordfish, which was ok but it is a bit pricey. Definitely a place to go for a special treat as a bit more expensive than other places we’ve eaten at.

Our whole meal was delicious. This is a busy, friendly and well run restaurant with excellent Eastern Mediterranean food, very well prepared. Lamb and chicken are the main focus, but vegetarian options are varied and can easily be the main attraction.

This place I wouldn’t even give 1star !!! It will used to be great but now the staff are rude the service is poor and they have no manners. I booked this restaurant that I have been going to for years when it was just one side! For a table for 7 for a birthday it wasn’t until we turned up to be told a member of staff had called in sick so we are closed you can have a take away. No curtsy call to say we couldn’t have the table nothing just plan rudeness when we arrived @ 7pm The best thing to come out of this is we found an amazing restaurant in Bermondsey square call lokma Turkish grill and have been back many times with staff that couldn’t do enough and food is fantastic.

Food was fantastic and amazing values for money. We went as a team and they were an absolutely wonderful host.

Absolutely delicious as always. Outstanding service, good size portions ( actually I took some home, well pleased , affordable prices and superb all in all experience. Can’t wait to come back. My 4 years old absolutely loved it too. Especially chef who grilled our food to perfection and had a nice chat with my daughter. Thank you to all team who looked after us.
