Great wee bar with a good selection of beers. Friendly staff too.

Great little village pub. Staff are brilliant and can always help or suggest alternatives. Still no food being served.

Food was not bad but when you have to wait 1 hour 30 minutes for 2 pizzas you kind of of loose your hunger maybe they should get more pizza ovens and more staff

Popped into Dunlop for a quick visit as it was my childhood haunt long ago, being a bit peckish my sister and I stopped at merito for some lunch, we were greeted by the lovely Rebecca who was friendly, attentive and very informative, the place is nice and cosy, I had a fish tea which very fairly priced and tasted delicious, sis had a panini which she also enjoyed, I shall return.

Curry night is good value. Need to order in advance!!!!! Food prepared by the Indian Kitchen in Stewarton.

Great food! Very friendly attentive staff ensure a warm reception and service in this wee gem in the village of Dunlop. Very tasty food, good selection and very reasonably priced, nice ambience enhanced by wood burning stove in restaurant. Look forward to going back!!

I took my 91 year old mum here a couple of weeks ago. I heard about it as my ex-Curves coach works there. Everyone raved about it as well so, with mum being the queen of fish n chips (it's all she orders wherever she goes), I thought I'd take her for the fish tea. Lunch menu is simple but good value for money. I have an egg allergy and a lactose intolerance so going somewhere with a simple menu can be challenging but it wasn't the case here. I decided on the fish tea as well as Martyn checked with chef re allergies. WOW!!! What a huge portion. A nice surprise as we got a tea or coffee included and bread and butter, which we didn't realise. The most enormous chips I've ever seen. Coz I couldn't have the butter I made a 'piece' with my bread!!! Greedy guts! A true value for money meal. My mum is very fussy and she was delighted. I gave 4 points instead of 5 as service was very slow given only one table ahead of us and they were only having soup and toasties. We waited 45 minutes. A tad too long. Martyn who served us was lovely and very chatty. Wee bit of training on serving side but if that's the only gripe...well....enough said. LOVED IT!

Now run and owned by the Dunlop community. It is linked to the community cinema and hall activities and was full of family groups, friends having a drink, etc. Staff were very friendly and were quick to serve us given how busy it was on a Friday night with a craft fair on in the community centre. Food was good, in a generous portion and at a good price. Some attention to detail needed with decor and cleanliness. A very pleasant atmosphere and so much better than before.

My friends and I stopped in for lunch and a couple of drinks yesterday. We were all impressed with the friendly service, nice decor and big portions of food. Everything was reasonably priced too. Will definitely return whenever I'm back in the area.

Great local pub and restaurant. Afternoon tea was amazing, followed by Gin cocktail demonstration and great music. We also pop in for dinner regularly for good food and friendly staff.

Este es el único lugar en Dunlop conseguir nada para comer o beber (el camarero me dijo que solía ser un segundo pub, pero cerrado). Visited Merito when staying with relatives, recently.

A lovely place, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Had a delicious scone with jam and fresh cream washed down with a latte, all while the kids played away in the play area. We will be back again soon!

Interestingly 'Merito' means 'deservidly' and is the motto of that ancient family, the Dunlops of Dunlop. This eaterie is a total and very attractive transformation from the old establishments decor and now has a pub side, a restaurant and bar area and a coffee house style room with a childrens play area included. The tables are a look little spartan without covers.

Proprietors have transformed former dive into a contemporary pub-come-restaurant which was badly needed in the village. Food is reasonably prince and they understand their audience - take away pizza is also available.

Visitamos el sábado por la noche y me sorprendió lo tranquilo que era. Sin embargo, el personal era de lo más amable y la comida era genuinamente italiano con enormes porciones que dos jubilados de edad no pude terminar. Muy bueno en un entorno agradable con la mencionada personal encantador. Volveremos por medias raciones!

Had a great time at Merito! The pizza I had was really good, mostly Italian cuisine there. Best part was the people who stopped in. Everyone is very friendly, and the staff were extremely personable. Will definitely come back the next time I visit Scotland.

La comida es buena y el menú cambia a menudo. Interesante giro en algunos antiguos favoritos. La carne aceitunas era una opción de abrazadera para mí después de no haber probado desde la escuela ( hace muchos años). Fueron fantásticos. Liberar en el bistec de boca alrededor suculentos bien condimentada con salchichas con verdadera carne.

Mi esposa y yo fuimos a Merito después de que un error en los tiempos en otro sitio. Nos perdimos la prisa para almorzar y teníamos el sitio para nosotros. El ambiente era precioso, el menú no era grande en la selección, pero chico fue el tamaño de la porción enorme.la comida era increíble. Mi mujer disfrutó su comida al igual que yo. Las chavala detrás de la barra también era servir las comidas, ella fue muy amable y atento. Ambos estamos ahora muy contento de haber mezclado veces, porque no encontramos este pequeño tesoro. Sin duda volveremos. Os animo a mis amigos y cualquiera que lea esto a darle una oportunidad. Dudo que será decepcionado.

Estaba en Dunlop ayer a visitar Auldton estufas y dio la casualidad de que pase el pub del pueblo y decidimos ir en para almorzar. La señora que servía era un placer absoluto, así que manerable y servicial. Decidimos tomar sopa seguido por un panini. Todo es casero y recién cocinado - estaba delicioso. Una gran relación calidad-precio. Definitivamente regresaré la próxima vez que esté en o alrededor Dunlop.

Primera vez que habíamos estado en meritos ya que ha sido renovado y bajo nueva dirección.( familia que viven en Dunlop)

Nos metimos en un sábado por la noche alrededor de las 7 pm buscando comida y felizmente nos acomodaron en el bar, donde no sólo tuve alimentado pero tuve la oportunidad de ver la final del fútbol.

Ordered the Prawn with Chilli and Pasta, presentation was great but the sauce tasted like it was from Heinz spaghetti hoops, interestingly it is not on the menu now!

Primero, me encanta la entrada a este lugar. Tan pronto como entras, te sientes como en casa - hay 3 habitaciones, todas con paredes de amplio ventanal, así que sin duda no se pierdan como a dónde ir y una escalera preciosa a la parte trasera. Ha sido renovado brillantemente, es moderno y fresco mientras haciendo buen uso de muchas de las características originales.

Staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating of my dad's dietary requirements. Decor and music make for a very relaxed friendly atmosphere. The food has only ever been delicious too. Excellent addition to the village.

Yo estaba feliz de encontrar un auténtico pub del pueblo que sirve comida local Escocesa con un alto nivel de calidad. Una buena selección de platos para todos los gustos y edades.

Un amigo y yo fuimos a probar este lugar hace algunas semanas quedamos muy contentos con la manera en la que el lugar parece muy acogedor y agradable ambiente la comida era excelente, tuve una hamburguesa con patatas fritas preparado perfectamente servido por la señorita encantadora mi amigo tenía salmón y era preciosa. Terminamos con un café que también estaba muy bien. En general, una experiencia fantástica, gran comida y ambiente personal.

We had a family dinner with friends (4 adults & 5 kids), service was great, food amazing & lovely atmosphere. Great value for money too. Can't wait to go back without kids & try out the bar!

El lugar ha sido reformado y decorado y un aspecto luminoso y moderno, con servicios públicos limpios.

Tuve muchas esperanzas para este lugar, ya que sé que ha abierto recientemente con nuevos propietarios y se puede decir mucho esfuerzo se ha hecho para mejorar y modernizar. Así, las primeras impresiones eran buenos, y ya que estaba muy ocupado parecía aún más prometedor. Sin embargo, lamentablemente, el servicio no era realmente a la altura. No fue terrible, pero podía haber sido mucho mejor - una larga espera para una buena, olvidado extras con un plato principal, bebida un mal, un olvidado bebida ... la verdad es que todo son pequeños problemas, pero demasiado muchas cosas salieron mal durante una comida para permitir que esto nada más que un promedio. Dijo que sin embargo la mayoría de la comida que nos dieron era realmente agradable y a un precio muy razonable. El personal también fue muy agradable, pero aunque simpáticos, no todos ellos parecían estar debidamente capacitado en atención al cliente. Ya que el sitio era muy ocupados, sólo puedo pensar que se debe estar haciendo algo bien y pondré todas nuestras quejas a "problemas" y sin duda volveremos en el futuro a darle otra oportunidad.

Fuimos a cenar aquí con la familia. Las primeras impresiones fueron buenas como muy ocupados, diseño peculiar un montón de pequeñas habitaciones. Unas cuantas cosas eran realmente fuera y me temo que tal vez sea primeros días pero realmente deberías conseguir lo solucionaron rápidamente si quieres gente a regresar.

Family run restaurant. Went into the restaurant with my three kids very friendly, and relaxing. helpful staff had a lovely meal garlic mushrooms to start then tried the Dunlop destroyer was excellent, my kids raved about the Mac n cheese and burgers, would recommend to anyone and can't wait to go back
