Meimo in Windsor and Maidenhead

The food was very basic and lacked flavour, every bite felt like there was so much missing not vibrant or bursting with rich flavour which was a shame. I felt for the price it was not worth it. We went for Mother’s Day and the service was great but the food let the experience down.

I had Wonderful lunch at Meimo the staff were lovely and the food was even better couldn’t recommend it enough. If you want delicious food in a calm setting this place is perfect.

Loved this restaurant so much! The menu was great and had a good range of dishes to choose from (including veg options). We were looking for somewhere with good food and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere for lunch. This was perfect. We chose a range of dishes to share and each one was delicious. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. I can’t wait to go back here again on my next visit to Windsor.

We had never tried Moroccan food before but we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it was! Our server was excellent and described the dishes so we could make a good choice. We selected several small plates which came out quickly and piping hot. We would definitely go back if we are ever back in Windsor and we highly recommend!

Excellent meal. Staff clear about the gluten free options so I would recommend it for anyone coeliac.

We visited Meimo for an early dinner with a 2 year old. Everyone cleared their plates. The food was delicious and the staff lovely. Eating at Meimo is like eating in someones home because you are treated like family and everyone is genuinely happy. Always a pleasure to visit!

My husband and I stopped at Meimo for an early dinner. What a delicious delight!! We were drawn in by the beautifully decorated space and the aromas. We started our meal with hummus. Probably the best hummus I've ever tasted, so tasty & smooth. Our dinner included the vegetable tagine with couscous and the chicken brochette. Both meals were so flavorful and warming, the kind of experience you seek from home cooked meals. We couldn't resist and ordered the baklava and Turkish coffee for our after dinner dessert. Don't skip out on dessert, so fulfilling. We were garnished mint tea to complete the meal. Overall a great experience.

We had a lovely meal. The staff and manager are very friendly. I had the mixed brochette and was very good indeed. Nice size, lovely char on the meat.

Truly a Moroccan gem in the quaint town of Windsor! From start to finish the experience at Meimo’s was sublime! We went on a beautiful sunny day and several people were eating on their lovely patio. We opted for inside as it was a little windy for us. The music inside was so fun and there were even velveteen bejeweled seating near the back which would be perfect for a romantic evening! We were there for lunch, so we got a window table. Service was impeccable! Friendly and welcoming as well as helpful and gracious with requests. The Tagine we ordered of lamb meatballs was so delicious and the starters of falafels and aubergine dip were incredibly tasty too…Warm flavors and textures that sang in our mouths! We saw a few tables of what appeared to be locals enjoying lunch as well. Us being tourists from California, that is always a plus…seeing locals eat where you chose! Meimo’s is a fantastic stop when in the town of Windsor!

This is the second time we’ve come here and it didn’t disappoint. Wonderful sharers which were enjoyed by the whole table - with our waiter being very hospitable. Food is so delicious!!!!

Restaurant has been there for 12 years still same owner. Due to weather we sat outside, only problem was a nearby house/shop alarm went off so a little noisy. Food and service good , wine list seemed to offer good value with less mark ups than some places. Overall a good family meal out with enough options to cover most tastes

Above and beyond!!! We enjoyed a tasty meal of five plates washed down with a Casablanca beer perfect reminder of our trip to Marrakesh and just right for the September heatwave prior to our tour of Windsor castle. We were impressed to be welcomed back for refreshing mint tea after the tour when we passed by- on the house. Great find - check it out if you are in Windsor

Would we eat here again? YES. We ate here twice on our weekend visit to Windsor. The staff were all attentive and friendly. The food was hot, really hot, and tasty. The portions were ample for me and my wife. I don't normally write reviews, but our experience here was so good, I felt I should share it with others.

The menu already looked great but the food exceeded all expectations. I had the chicken couscous with raisin and caramelised onions as pictured and the rest of the family had tagine. It was absolutely delicious. We planned a day of walking so only went for mains but to our surprise we're offered a piece of baklava and morrocan tea afterwards as a complimentary gift. This and the incredible friendly team there added such a nice touch! Very reasonably priced, we will definitely return :)
