Lovely Al fresco dining in the garden and food is always good quality. Tables outdoors are well spaced out and it feels like all safety precautions are being taken. Great service.

Our elderly Aunt is over 90. The car park is well positioned for elderly and disabled people to walk easily into Meadow Farm. Garden seating is super on a nice day and there is also shade for people who don't like the sun. Ours was a windy day so we sat in a lovely old greenhouse decorated with pretty flowers and flower pots. Toilets are clean and well located. Food was delicious, the shop was inspiring and the service was good. A lovely trip out into the countryside and fresh air for people who normally are stuck in the city. Highly recommend.

A lovely small independent garden centre with a good range of seasonal plants and a great tea room. The garden centre staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and the plant displays are really inspiring. The shop has unusual gifts and cards as well as some essential and more interesting garden accessories. One of the best features of meadow farm nursery is the tea room. Although the service can be a little slow the food is freshly produced and worth waiting for. The menu is simple ....mainly sandwiches , quiches and delicious home made cakes but it’s generous, tasty and very good value. The actual tea room is small but there are plenty of tables outside and in one of the greenhouses. It’s a very pretty place to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea and a browse around the plants. It’s also a great spot to stop whilst out cycling or walking as they also have a breakfast menu. One thing to watch is the lane as it’s very narrow with limited passing places so drive slowly and carefully !

Frequent customers at Meadow Farm Nursery tea rooms we usually thoroughly enjoy your experiences with pleasant staff and ambiance. However, today we stopped off for an early lunch and both chose the beef lasagne which was served very quickly. Upon cutting into our meals we discovered they weren’t even tepid so I returned them immediately to the counter. The young man who served us initially brought them back to our table within, literally, a couple of minutes – fast service, most impressive. I asked him to wait whilst I tried the temperature again but sadly my meal was still barely warm … my husband admitted his was the same. The young man (sorry, I don’t know his name but most pleasant) took them once again. Only another couple of minutes later he brought them back, swiftly followed by the lady who had obviously reheated for us. She made quite a display in front of other customers that she had brought her probe (I had no objection to her bringing this) and saying they were definitely the correct temperature. Indeed she was right – on the third occasion of trying she had certainly got the temperature piping hot – in fact the probe wasn’t necessary as not only could we see the steam coming from the lasagne but we could actually feel it. I am involved in catering for large numbers and know it can be frustrating when something doesn’t work as you’d like. However I also know the attitude of staff is what can make or break a meal. We were not looking for any sort of argument about whether or not the temperature of our meals were to Food Safety Standards … we were asking for them to be served HOT. The cook was clearly annoyed at having been asked, twice, to reheat them and told us “they are the same temperature as last time”. Clearly this was not so otherwise we’d have had no cause to ask a second time for hotter meals. We all make mistakes but surely one should never argue with a customer’s likings.

Red Leicester and Apple Chutney quiche - that is the one I tried, served as a slice with garnish and coleslaw; beautifully cooked with lots of filling and crispy pastry. My Husband chose the Beef and mushroom curry, which he said was good, nice flavour not overpowering, and both priced very reasonably. Due to the sizes of the cakes we shared a Pear and almond slice.

Meadow Farm Nursery is always a delight to visit, whether you are looking for something for the garden, a spot of lunch or just tea and cake. The lunch menu is creative and delicious with tasty vegetarian options, the cakes and scones are huge, and their choice of tea is hard to beat. There is a large greenhouse that has been given over to dogs and their owners, if it is too cold to sit outside. We are never disappointed when we visit Meadow Farm, keep up the good work!

We had booked our table for 10 in advance by telephone. The man taking our booking did so with patience and humour and it was nice not to have to pay a deposit for our table, we appreciate that greatly as I do understand that a table of 10 may be hard work but I could never predict what my meetup friends would want to eat in advance, some had cake, some had potato cakes, quiches and jacket potatoes. What I can say is that we enjoyed our visit to the tea rooms, we ate more than we were going to but we felt relaxed and unhurried at our table so thank you for that. We then went round the garden centre and a couple of our group bought plants. Thanks for the welcome, we will be back.

Recommended here by a friend. Lots of outside seating among the plants on sale as well as a bright clean inside area. After a look round the nursery at the reasonably priced although somewhat limited choice of plants, we went back to the tearoom for coffee and cake. Generous portions and fresh tasty cake, not sure if made on site but certainly not supermarket fayre. Average price, but well worth it as much better than being offered in some places. I've been coming here the last 6 years or so and every time i enjoy a great cuppa or mocha and a bit of cake. They do other savoury dishes from soups and quiches too which are also tasty. There are some great cakes to choose from. I always go for one of the best Bakewell tarts around. Recently tried their orange /lemon sponge cake and its light, moist and not overly sickly - just right. Great choices of seating areas come rain or shine. Its warm and cozy inside if you sit outside, you can choose near a pond or a lawned area with some large tables if you have a large group. Great in the sun with or without shaded areas. They bring your food to you if you are outside. After the food, you can take a stroll around the greenhouses full of various flowers and shrubs or the gift shop. All in all, you cant go wrong here. A Pretty decent place in a pretty area with pretty cakes and pretty staff. I must mention the ones named Charlie and Martha. I couldnt get the other names but they all do a stellar job and really make you feel welcome and warm inside. If you visit Hayling, come down this way past the cottages and farms. Visited today with a friend. Sat in the lovely garden with hummingbird cake & coffee, would highly recommend for good food in lovely relaxed surroundings.

This nursery offers lovely cakes and the food looks delicious. we had stopped for tea and cakes and were spoilt for choice. My daughter was heavily pregnant and the staff could not have been more helpful with her fancies.

We found this tearoom by chance and so glad we did. Lovely tea (loose leaves) and cakes. All homemade. Very clean and pretty interior. Friendly staff. Nice eating out area too although not used as it was raining. Good nursery area in the grounds. Will return again soon now its been discovered by me.

A small nursery and tea room that is hidden off a small side road on Hayling Island but judging by the popularity of the tea room it is well known locally. A pleasant place to sit in all weathers. Plenty of cover. The plants all appear healthy and well cared for and not excessively expensive. Far better than a number of well known Garden centres I could name.

We visited this garden centre out of curiosity and we are so glad we did. The plants were glorious and the coffee, tea and cake really good.

Really nice surroundings to match the treats in the tearoom. The nursery looks great at most times but of course is seasonal

Tricky to get to down a country lane but what a tasty treat in pretty surroundings awaits! Fancy a browse around the nursery and a yummy cake and pot of tea?Meadowlands has become very popular with the locals. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny afternoon when it's possible to sit outside and admire the petunias.Highly recommended!

So this place is very chaotic, one country road in and out with no where to park or pull up when your face with on coming traffic, parking is easy no issues there. The tea room is pure chaos tables dirty and not clear, long ques to order and staff with no guidance or a clue what to do! when we arrived we cleared our own table, then qued to order out food which seemed to take forever as they have one till and staff member who was taking the order clearing have very little clue as to what to do or how use the till, when we ordered the food arrived good quality and certainly home made, just a shame there is no direction or system in place to manager the tables and the ordering system.

Food was lovely and the waiting staff very helpful and polite which couldn't be said about the lady who took the orders. If you have staffing issues regarding a decision made by a colleague so you can eat don't moan to the customer as it's not their fault. It's was a treat for me however it did mar the occasion.

I only called in here for a take away coffee one cold winter morning with a Spanish friend. She and I are used to very good coffee. But it was the only place open (during semi lockdown.) Whilst the server who attended to us was as helpful as they could be, the coffee is not high quality and in future we would rather do without. (Actually, I poured mine over the grass when we had walked back to Purbrook Heath as it was reminiscent of British Rail tea/coffee - before they improved things.) NB At the time the other customers were not social distancing and this also put me off.

Went with a friend to see 'No Ordinary Love'- a film I wanted to see at the cinema but didn't manage to go. Ticket booking online very easy to do and pick up tickets from the box office. Nice little cafe inside but we didn't partake this time. Great film, helpful staff, will be back for another event soon.
