Awful, even for McDonald's standards!

Quality control isn't assured at this branch, they also under fill your fries. Guess what? They're also cold, and who ever taught them how to pack bags needs restraining, why are selects going in vertically on top of burger box's,

Its a mcdonalds. It serves a set menu. Its done quickly. Only downside is the toilets were wet with no wet floor warnings. Also sanitation issue as not sure if just water or something else. But on the whole, its a mcdonalds. You order, buy, eat and leave.

I swung by McDonald's today and ended up having the time of my life, all thanks to the superhero of the day, Ellise! Ordered a large 5 select meal and got 3 selects instead, a small fries and 4 dips which were completely wrong. It’s not rocket science to follow order receipt.

Consistently the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The fries are terrible every time. Go to any other McDonald's in the area.

I do not recommend here. Loved in cardiff for 6 months and this is the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. Consistently bad! Fries are horrid, either cold (have had raw potato in there) and burnt fries as well. Not sure how they keep getting it so bad. Go to any other McDonald’s in the area 😂 another is 10 min drive away, go there!!!

Brought my grandson here along with my son, and all enjoyed a burger each, and i had a hot chocolate. Great place to bring grandson as he also enjoys the 'tablet' he can play on. I was amazed that it's got stuff for adults, too. My favourite meal is a veggie wrap. Look forward to the next one.

Literally couldn't take my order twice never seen a worse mcdonalds. You wait for half hour just to be told they can't serve you

Mc delivery is just poor food is always cold and half the time it never turns up but takes your money

Ordered a large Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal. Was sent 2x Double Cheeseburgers. Was told to walk to the store so they can exchange. I am in work and paid for delivery. The chips were black and soggy.

Waited 20 mins for drive through order to be ready! Drove home to notice half the order was missing! Food was cold and service staff were rude.

Took the grandchildren as a special treat during one of our regular trips to see them. The children loved their veggy happy meals and my crispy chicken burger was a delight. Full marks to everyone at the restaurant.

It's okay not really the best McDonald's but it's easy to get too and does have parking.

Used the app and collected via drive thru. Service was quick enough, however, the issue was the food. The chips weren't seasoned. The quarter pounder burger was overdone/burnt. The apple pie was lukewarm with no timestamp on it which led me to believe it had been sat way past its useby time (won't kill me, but still not up to standard). We usually go to the valegate mcds, but thought we'd try a different one. Instant regret.

Went to the one by Cardiff stadium Saturday lunchtime no ice cream and got our order wrong , we had taken the grandkids for one of her birthday treats and they completely ruined it for her we spoke to the manager who couldn't care less , i walked across to KFC intending to buy ice cream for her to eat in McDonald's but they didn't have a machine, but I should not have needed to , if Mc donalds are going to sell ice cream it should always be available machines break but they should have a back up . My local McDonald's turn Thier machine off when they can't be bothered not good enough Macdonald's sort it out

This branch has an up to date interior and always has a friendly team. However, more recently the "lads" from Gabalfa seem to have moved in and made for a very uninviting entrance.

It’s take long time to prepare the food Noticed that all the kitchen staff touching the food with barehand and in between making the food they are touching “everywhere”. Noticed that the entire kitchen floor is bit of messy with lots of food stuffs. Please respect the food and please respect us

Always jet washing the site and I always end up with a face full of misty water. Last time I was here the worker was cleaning the gutters and soffit and kept washing as I was trying to leave through the door, myself and my food was wet with dirty water dripping off the gutters.

One of the workers said they would tip my chocolate milkshake on the floor very rude, bad customer service, it was also very very slow. This is meant to be fast food 😂😁

Ordered a 5 chicken selects meal through the drive-through. Had to park up and wait ages then had to go back in as they forgot the dips. Checked my meal before leaving but when I got home and opened the box which said selects on it, it was full of mozzarella dippers?!?

Absolutely appalling service. Always leaving out food from my order either chips or burgers, today they left out 3 large portions of chips so conned me out of money! Will be driving further away from now on instead of using this robbing place!

Chaotic drive through. Staff ignored us half way through giving order as there were 2 queues in drive through. Food hot. Car park too small for amount of cars and seems favourite of boy racers.

Been here a few times, chips taste like cardboard, burgers were bland, I asked for a large iced latte and was given a regular in a large cup. :/ I think its time to blacklist this branch.

The company even tells you the exact time to cook the burgers how that one employee failed still baffles me never in 30 years have I received burned food in my life is competent staff hard to come-by or is it this new generation? Good most of the time. But has messed up my order numerous times I wanted a large meal with a student cheeseburger. But when I asked and the girl on the mic asked several times which meal "large please" sorry which one "large" I have no accent so how clearer can I be ? When I get my order medium meal -_- when I say I ordered large they say well it says medium yes because she messed it up I even recorded it on my phone to show them because I know this happens on occasion upon which they said nothing they can do when I know you can since previously I got refunded and the food for the same situation at which point I said well the police will then talk for attempting fraud. Common sense it would be a large meal because the student offer is only for large meal. After this they finally handed me my food. Most of the time the lettuce is yellow slightly old you can tell the food has been cooked 15-30 minutes ago because it's not hot or juicy. This place and the employees need to step up their game you wouldn't serve your family this so why your distant brothers and sisters ? Just to get on with it and paid isn't good. If I took this approach in my job people would be dying.

A delicious breakfast muffin and cup of tea. Was served hot. Usual service you would expect by now from McDonald's.

The food was fine - you're usual Macs affair. Initial server didn't seem too bothered, and they forgot some condiments in my takeaway order. Nothing major, but nevertheless, could be better

Rude boy on drive through and he was working on the drinks, never put our order though, waited 20 minutes for a cheeseburger which we received cold. Young girl working on second window was very rude, no apology for late food. Overall really poor staff. (Not including the polite boy working on the first window)

Food is brilliant and is better than the rest of the drive throughs in cardiff ,I would of gave a full 5 star had it not been for the drive through being closed at night,having to get out of my car is an inconvenience when tired,staff are very polite and friendly.

The food food was not really fresh and was too crunchy.

I have to firstly point out that usually this place is decent...as far as McDonald's goes it's the best within the area. But tonight we went there to get the kids a quick meal on the way past and there was a huge queue....took about 10 mins to get to the order window to be told no fish fingers , no chicken nuggets, no chicken products basically. The kids don't like burgers so we had no choice other than to spend another 10 mins locked in the drive through. You would have thought our of all the staff working there that one of them would have thought to put a notice at the entrance to the drive through. Saving people time and saving the staff having to repeat themselves 101 times. Obvious thing to do really. We then proceeded to Newport Rd and opted for a burger King as we thought Newport Rd mc Donald's would be the same and as we drove into burger King there were literally signs every 10 feet stating they have no chicken royals . Just a simple sign to let people know works a treat

I ordered three milkshakes and they only gave me two straws And not only did they give me two straws my milkshake was warm and wattery I hope all of you get fired xoxo karen

It's a McDonalds. If you like this type of food then it's for you. I take my grandkids there and they love it. Me, I could take it or leave it. What they pass for a burger is not what I would call a burger.

Kicked us out for an incident we weren’t apart of and took our belongings and wouldn’t give it back until we gave id when they stole it off us would recommend not to go here absolutely disgusting service

Went through drive through at 5am bang on when breakfast starts. Waited behind a car that was at the collection window for just under 10 minutes. Collected food, the sausage and egg were both like rubber and clearly hadn’t been cooked within the last 20 min let alone 10. Relayed this back to the store who said I am lucky because they are not in the habit of giving out free food. Yes and not fresh food either! To top it off, no napkins with order either.

As a fast food outlet it was very slow. I accept it was late on a Sunday night but 25 minutes for a 4 car queue is too long. I did not complain to the staff as they looked stressed enough as it was.

I went into this McDonald's for breakfast after taking my daughter to the hospital. I sat down waiting for our order to be collected and the cleaner (old woman) kept picking on my daughter because her foot was balanced on the seat opposite (bearing in mind she just had a procedure) the cleaner kept approaching us to tell her to put her foot down. I find this very personal because people directly opposite had children standing on the seats, kicking the seats and the mother had her feet up on the seats but nothing was said to them. She was just persistent in picking on my daughter. The woman was very rude in approaching my daughter even though we were present she directed to my daughter and never even acknowledged us. I suggest some people skills training is needed for this employee and as McDonald's is more for younger children than adults there is going to be a number of them jumping on seats etc. As a manager of a food establishment I would be disgusted to find out m to staff speaking to children the way she did today and hope something is done about it so no other child has to experience this. God forbid a child ever got happy about a happy meal and jumped in the seats

Abysmal at best. Would definitely give 0 rated review if it were possible. Drive through experience was shockingly bad. Two lanes, whilst I was waiting 3 cars in the other lane were served quickly and efficiently, server could not get act together AT ALL. Ordered 3 things, asked if I wanted as a meal as was cheaper, said OK and was still charged full price. Very stroppy member of staff when paying at window. Definitely in the wrong job!!

The cleaner of this place is amazing! Every time she's on shift, the place is spotless! Even on a busy hour. The moment someone leaves the table, she's on it quickly cleaning it down for the next people. Amazing. Don't know her name, she has short hair.

Been to a lot of McDonald’s around the world. This one was really good. Place was spotless. The staff really nice and the food was the best McDonald’s has ever given me. Went with my gf and a fussy 9 year old and we all really enjoyed the food. It’s no wonder they was a long line at the drive through. Quality and service 10/10.

Good and reliable food. Chips are sometimes cold or unsalted. App ordering means you can get drive through in your pyjamas. Great.

Slow service reported to the on site manager. The manager was extremely rude and dismissive to the point of verbally disgusting behavior. How are the staff supposed to do their jobs when you are recruiting managers, who have no clue about customer service. I will not be visiting this restaurant again. Needed cleaning bins overflowing

This was the best Mc Donald’s meal I have had for a long time and I go every week with my grandchildren .The chips were lovely and hot and the chicken nuggets were superb . The young man who served us William I think that was his name was very polite and friendly and was doing a great job of cleaning tables and floor and counters he was very efficient he did impress me a lot . Look after him as someone like him deserves to get on in life he is an asset to the company well done 👍😀

Had breakfast burger today and the bread was rock hard on the edges from lying there for hours. Tomato sauce dispenser broken for over a month. No stuff at the till as busy in the kitchen. Poor experience!!!

Waited 25 minutes for three food items. People who came in after me were getting their food way before I did. Never waited so long for fast food. Could have gotten my food a lot quicker in miler and carter!

Absolutely shocking service. Click and collect took 20-30 minutes. Food came cold and order was wrong! Husband's big Mac had no cheese or big Mac sauce just ketchup and mustard which is wrong because we didn't even ask for that! My son's happy meal had no chicken nuggets just fries. My mcCrispy tasted off. Will not be ordering from here again. If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely awful

Simple order or large fries, 2 hamburgers and a share box of nuggets. On opening the bag I have 1 cheeseburger, 1 hamburger, nuggets and no large fries. Absolutely useless. How can anyone get such a simple order so wrong.

My husband attended the drive through tonight to purchase two meals. Unfortunately when ge arrived home and looked in bag there was no happy meal. He had to return to McDonald's to be basically be insinuated that he was lying and he could have ate the meal. What a complete joke. Chris the site manager you should be ashamed of yourself, we will not be visiting you again. How dare you insinuate this. im surprised that customers think the food is worth the money. The fries are always luke warm and limp. Cheese never melted on burgers as they are never cooked together ? The big tasty is nice tasting but never served hot, and taste colder with cold lettuce and tomatoes. McDonald's never seem to listen and improve , the food is always luke warm. I only end up in this chain when Ive got no choice or my family want to have this dreadful food. My wife says the same thing foods not hot. Fast food it is but far from being quality and worth the money. Plenty of nice burger joints in the high street where burgers are larger and hot. Forgot to mention the hot chocolate , cheap powder style thought i was back in the 90s at college buying it from a vending machine .

honestly they must hate there jobs here 👎🏼 never the right order, must put half a bottle of ketchup in breakfast rolls for a laugh and the oil the hash browns are cooked in is disgusting. if the food looks super brown after frying and it's not burnt the oil needs changing yuck if you don't like tour job leave have some pride in your work.

The men's toilets had no hot and the hand dryer was only cold air. Not very hygienic.

Gd atmosphere, quite busy, lots of seating an parking, ground level suits wheelchair users. Good for children, some vegetarian food available, disabled toilet available.

Horrendous, so many delivery drivers you can't get in and they parked in the disabled spaces so we couldn't even park, I had to sit in the car and wait for my family to come out, we told the manager and they laughed and said the drivers are busy !!! Took 45 min just to collect four coffees

Ordered a tiramisu flurry and got a maltersers, they forgot our straws and they didn’t give me any ketchup dips. I asked for a fair few as I like ketchup with my fries and nuggets and mozzarella dippers (which were cold and not at all stringy) but don’t like the spicey one. Would give 0 stars if I could. Do better Update 26/09/22. I gave them a second chance they gave me 0 dips this time. Despite dips coming with the 20 nuggets And I ordered 3 extra dips for my cheese dippers as I don’t like the promotional sauce. How incompetent do you have to be so ignore half an order. Plus cold chips. Never again.

i wentt to mcdonalds and orders £5 of food a burger drink and a large fries and i paid for it all but then my order wasn't coming so i went to ask where it was and they told me that they cancelled it and the money shouldn't have gone through but then i told them it was taken out and showed. them proof but they said it. must have been from another time and i had no money . this is a disgrace !
