Mcdonald's Restaurants in South Derbyshire

Wish I hadn’t bothered . Don’t go there very often but fancied a snack and as expected from previous visits utter garbage . Cold food and guess what No milk shakes . How this place stays in business is beyond my comprehension

Truly awful place. Issues parking up as a gang of Eastern Europeans seem to think they rule the car park? Probably JustEat drivers? Security guard seems more interested in chatting up the staff and checking his phone, than he did the security of the place.

wouldn’t even rate it one star but that is the lowest i could go. security is horrid person, swearing at customers and touched my nuggets , i am absoultly disgusted by this. WORST EXEPRIENCE I HAVE EVER WHITNESSED. THIS PLACE NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN. FULL STOP

Avold cold food and when complain there made feel it was my fault go to Ashby or Burton instead it be quicker even driving 5 miles out of the way to get to never go again management only care about profit over customers again avold

Had a medium Latte and charged £1.99 The day before at another McDonald's I was only charged £1.59. Why 40pence more in Swadlincote. Will not be going back.

Food arrived cold - half the order missing no dips! no apple pie! no extra bacon on the mccrispy! - avoid this McDonalds

They can never help but mess up your order no matter what you order. Literally just ordered a big tasty with bacon and they couldn’t even put the damn bacon in it, on the screen when I ordered it said a big tasty with bacon and by the end I had a big tasty without bacon that looked like they’d scraped it off of the floor and they’d somehow changed the receipt to say just a big tasty so I couldn’t even debate the order. I know for a fact what I saw and they’ve done things like this over and over again for years, do not bother wasting your money it just gets worse and worse. I honestly think I’m done with the restaurant in swad entirely, elsewhere it may be fine but not here, again as I have said, do not waste your money (As for other examples they don’t put in your sauces you’ve ordered sometimes even if it costs extra, or miss out ingredients entirely, one time I ordered cheese dippers and they had given me chicken fillets in the cheese bite box, other times they’ve forgotten items entirely or given me an order that wasn’t even slightly comparable to mine)

This has to be the worth McDonald's in the country, they never get your order right and whether you collect or have a delivery the food is cold. If you have a delivery and you complain McDonalds blame Uber Eats and Uber Eats blame McDonalds Do not use this restuarant.

the past 10 visits have been the same, 10 to 20 minute waits with horrendous car queues at drive through, sadly like other branches the Deliveroo service has slowed the concept of fast food, those that order at home take priority over those that turn up, avoid!

Incredibly slow service on August 31. Waited 30 minutes for our meal and McFlurry not arrived. She told us that there was a lack of cups, so why not take it off the menu? By the time our meal arrived, it was cold! Not good enough.

There is friendly staff here and I was served in a quick and efficient manner and found the restaurant to be clean. Also there is a drive thru on site.

This place is a joke, I understand that you are busy but it doesn't mean you can rip off your customers... I have ordered Mc'Plant, Mayo Chicken, Double chees, 2 x Triple Chees, 2 x L fries... what did I get? Mc'Plant, Mayo Chicken. Double chees with single patty, 2 x Triple cheesburgers with double patty (they were all wrapped correctly) and no fries... we didn't check everything straight away, just quick look in a bag and it seemed to be ok, when we came back Burton we were really surprised... WE paid around £16 and at at least £5 worth of food was missing... all I want to say is DO NOT GO ! they are usleless

I would will never go again. Ordered pancakes for my kids and a mcmuffin for me and my partner via the mcdelivery app. Only mine arrived hash brown was so greasy you couldnt get it out the paper bag and the mcmuffin well my dog wouldnt eat it so it just goes to show. I rang them about my missing items and was told they couldnt do anything so i went down to have some moron school dropout tell me all items are checked. Well clown if all items are checked i wouldnt have to go down to find out where everyones order is and the best thing i was followed by 4 more saying 90% of their orders are missing. Dont worry Mcdonalds il never return but hey you might get orders correct now all the failed school exams or done

I took my 3 year old godson to McDonalds in Swadlincote for a treat, prior to visiting a car show. We parked up in the car park, taking the last space and walked to the restaurant. Once inside, i niticed there was hardly anybody inside, yet a full car park? We went to the screens and placed our order, taking a number triangle and wanting to sit down. The receipt didn't print. I asked for a receipt I was met with eyeballing and huffing and puffing, I got a very poorly printed receipt, which was of no use. We sat down near to a window and I noticed holes in the seat I was sat upon and upon looking towards the window, food stuffed between the window pane and the frame. We decided to go outside. Once outside, we sat down and close by, were 2 MacDonalds employees, sat on a table used for customers, vaping, smoking and swearing. Not wanting to upset my godson, I decided it best to remain quiet and I couldn't leave him alone whilst I got a manager The food arrived, as did another employee, who lit up a cigarette. This was coupled with delivery drivers, also smoking amd jabbering away, looking over and laughing. Truly and utterly the worst McDonalds I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. I shall not be darkening that store of ill repute, with my sahdow, ever again. I have no idea as to why the place was closed for refurbishment, when there is no evidence of any sort of upgrades. ZERO STARS.

Visited McDonalds Swadlincote for the first (and last) time for a while on Saturday.They now no longer seem to have a drive thru more of a drive to the window and pay then sit in the car park for over twenty minutes till your lukewarm...

Went for food and it was stone cold by the time I drove to the car park round the corner. Burgers were stone cold chips were hard and cold. Called to complain when got home and the staff were rude said what do you expect...

Unbelievable place the woman who is supposed to clean the tables spent the whole hour I was there standing around chatting to people at the tables and then stood in the way reading a paper at the food counter. Manager is ignorant and rude and...

Good place to go for quick food at the weekend, the service is spot on especially in the busy dinner times

You get the same as every McDonald’s good fast food at a good price. They sometimes mess up the orders yes but it’s a great thing for a small town to have. Can’t knock it It Does exactly what it says in the tin

Quick drive through bite, and up to the usual standard. Kids love the place, and have done since it opened. Vast!y improved since refurbishment. It does what it says on the tin.

It's a McDonalds, been here a few times for drinks etc, nothing special. You order get it and eat it

You get no surprises here. Same menu, same ambience, same small loos. Easy parking. I go because they do good tea, and the kids like the happy meals.

Only go here because the kids like the happy meals . I use the drive through and I always have to wait in grill order . Fast food isn't it ? Never get a full box of fries or nuggets . The burgers are horrible . Bout time something else come along

Since they’ve had their revamp there tends to be really slow service round the drive-thru, there’s usually a massive que that seems to take forever to get through. Standard service otherwise.

Went for breakfast this morning and was standing in the queue, the young girls in front of us was spoken to sharply when asked for their order by a manager. When we was served he was exactly the same with a scowl on his face, no smile no manners absolutely no people skills at all how he got a managers job I don’t know (Jack).

Visited over the weekend clearly stating strawberry milkshake with each meal, got home to find 4 vanilla milkshakes. Visited today for just a mc chicken sandwich meal which contained a very small amount of unfresh looking lettuce. Standards and service are not very high!

Good fast service and consistently good food make this worth a visit if you're peckish and passing by. Usually use the drive through as it's more convenient.

What can say it's a McDonald's restaurant, my granddaughter loves her Happy Meals and it's quick and easy access.

El personal es grosero no estaba lleno y aún así no podía hacer lo básico, servicio al cliente, la comida estaba examinando había más Grecia en el desayuno que en la freidora. La salchicha y huevo magdalenas con huevo probado rap rancio y fuera de fecha y la salchicha y huevos no era hecha como se decía en la etiqueta en el producto! Este lugar necesita ayuda no está a la par con otros franquicias en las zonas de los alrededores. Piensa dos veces antes de visitar

They dropped a hot choclate down the seat of my car refused to get a manager then rang me up hours later blaming me for it.Buisness manager lee is a very rude person who should have conducted a impartial investigation clearly did not happen will be taking this further as you could not even say sorry.On top of that food was cold and had a big thick long hair in it which makes my wonder about hygeine standards there total disgrace ......AVOID

Mcdonalds are ok for fast food. This Mcds is a little cramp for the amount of diners. It needs to be bigger. Food good and staff ok.

Just an other Mc D's really but what made me come back is the fast free Wifi they have, the fastest of any Mc D. Must applaud the sligly handicapped helper they had for a while, he made manu smile and was very helpful.

This is our local mcds it's clean and food good but service could be quicker and more efficient instead of always having to park in bay one! This has got better over the years but have experienced a wrong order on more than one occasion

I have been many times as I live and work local to this one. If I had more time I would visit the one in Ashby. There is just no consistancy. There is never any sauce if you eat inside. It is clean. On some occasions the food is fine but all too often it just does not come up to the standard expected. Where is the manager?

Called in here many times, nothing not to like a standard Mcds. Clean and tidy inside and out. I would recommend this one

we never have to wait long at all to get served. The food is always good and still hot if we take it home to eat. definitely recommend it.

On most occasions when we visit McDonald's, food service is slow, particularly if you are using the drive through, and told time after time to park in a bay and wait when you haven't even ordered anything special!

Having waited 20 mins for "fast" food, at not a particularly busy time, watching the staff taking orders to people parked up outside having been to the drive through but couldn't get served there as you normally expect for a drive through but instead have to park up and wait forever. When they finally brought our order over it was cold and missing things.

The food is the usual McDonalds standard, the service is okay if a tad slow at times. The drive through is good though.

The McDonald's standards never vary. This is their beauty. The only thing offputting about this one in Swadlingcoat was the large numbers of teenagers taking up seating and not buying anything.

doesn't seam to matter what time we go we always seam to have to wait for food when using the drive through.hopefully now that they have revamped it fingers crossed for quicker service.

I've been in many McDonalds, all over the country and in fact in the USA and Malta too. They are very much the same wherever you go, the food is exactly what you expect, usually served courteously. I would point out though that the 'fries' don't take to being left to go cold and then just giving them a quick whizz into the fryer to warm them up... the go like leather and some British McDonalds seem to be fond of this practice. Also never order a Filet of Fish or anything 'plain' (rather than with the various additives which are normally put into their burgers etc.) as you will probably have to wait an extraordinarly long time before your order is produced!
