Filthy and disgusting. Horrible young waitress spent all her time talking to her mates while they are laid across the tables!!! Local youths drop in centre. Is there nobody in charge here???

Mcdonald's food is basically the same anywhere and therefore not noteworthy enough to mention. What does need discussing is the genuinely appalling lack of any customer experiential service. One young colleague for the entire time we were there only uttered numbers. Never spoke a word to a single customer only responded to customers through actions. There is no greeting of any kind no thanks and no hopes of seeing the customers again. The youngster who served only gave a passing effort of a smile because I informed him, smiling was not a sin. Was does it say about a Mcdonalds who spend so much time selling the ideal of great customer service in the image of a happy and helpful colleagues. To then be served by individuals who like they resent serving their customers. Come on Pencoed Mcdonalds you can and should do better.

Ordered on just eat 2 hours later we had a phone call saying no milkshake. why two hours later . Should of been when the order went in . 2 hours 30 mins later food turns up cold . No point calling as the restaurant don’t answer the phone . Nice one Mc Donald’s

The slowest McDonald’s ever . Every time you use the drive thur you are asked to park up and wait .. never a parking space to park and wait it’s ridiculous .. If you’re happy to wait over 10 minutes after battling for a car space and never be able to just drive through then that is the place to go .

Went with the optimism that I’d get a caramel frappe, oh how we laughed when I asked at the drive through and there was a brief silence before being told, “sorry we haven’t got frappes today”, when do they ever!! Touch and go what drinks will be available and don’t ever expect fresh, hot fries, well fresh and hot anything! It’s a shame that our two local McDonald’s stores (bridgend included) are both as equally awful.

Never no ice , serves warm drinks . Never a sign put up to say no ice ?? Just like to rip people off by serving warm drinks

I brought a gentleman I support with learning disabilities to this restaurant who also uses here every week. On this occasion the place was filthy with multiple trays left on tables alongside many of the young staff more concerned about talking with they're friends instead of serving. After me and him had ordered they come to the desk with our order which was wrong and was adamant that this is what he had ordered even after multiple times explaining that it was wring and he had ordered a tea and cookie. The server just stood there repeating what was Infront of us until they re checked the order and noticed it was actually wrong and her the young guy next to her both gave a look to eachother when they were corrected.

There has been so many times that I have ordered my early morning (5:30) breakfast on the app before leaving home, only to be disappointed to find cones across the entrance or the drive thru. If you advertise yourself as 24hrs, then you need to be so. I have seen customers knocking on the door to get the cones removed. I won't do that, as I think if you wanted paying customers, you'd be open! By the time I get to your closed restaurant, there is no time for me to order elsewhere. I work two days a week in Bristol and want to stop off for breakfast. I should have learnt my lesson by now, but there is the odd occasion when you deem it worthy to open up to the general public. So, I remain an optimist! Very hungry!!!

Ordered online on deliveroo to then wait and be told the driver was around the corner! He completed the order on his delivery device but never turned up at my door! Couldn't get through too McDonald's on the phone so no food! Luckily deliveroo have refunded me straight away but the company need to look very hard at the people they are employing. I hope Kyle enjoyed my food, absolutely disgusting service!!!!

Advertised itself as 24h both on its signage and website. Arrived just before midnight on a Sunday after and 11-hour hospital shift to find them shutting down and not taking any orders. Have not been 24 hours slsonce covid Apparrently but continued to falsely advertise. Will be contact McDonalds head office, as if they had advertised correctly I would not have had to go to bed hungry

Another excellent visit to this restaurant we were served by Sian who done a fantastic job keeping glasses full and serving superb food Always receive a warm welcome and great service from all at the Pabtruthin

Disgusting Staff Attitude. Packed restaurant with no clean tables. We ordered food and sat on the end of a large table. My wife and I perched on the end of one of the 4 ‘staff only’ tables. 3 of these tables are free and only 1 member of staff eating at the other. Immediately asked to move by a very rude member of staff as he would ‘lose his job’ if we didn’t move. Tried to explain that we will move as soon as our order is ready and a table frees up but this wasn’t good enough. You also can’t get in or out of the car park. Save your money and don’t bother. This is the worst McDonald’s experience. If anyone from head office saw how we were treated and the standards of this place, they’d take their name off it.

This store is not 24hrs 2 days in a row I've been there and they were not serving. Monday night they blocked the entrance to the drive thru. Last night it was open i drove in and was told by a staff member they are not taking ant orders now. I asked y and was told they can't at the moment, not really a good reason, but as I pulled out of the drive thru another customer had her order taken. So I pulled back up and asked why was I told I couldn't have my order taken and was told they were not serving at the moment and regarding the lady in front she ordered in time, she only pulled up just before me. To say I'm annoyed it an understatement. It were even busy 2 customers they had.

Only McDonalds could have a store open 24Hours that don’t serve all day Combine this with staff who do not understand customer service or how to communicate and you have the perfect scenario Tried to get breakfast here on 16th October They we receiving a delivery which blocked the drive through Not one of the team member spoke to us, or the ambulance staff that were waiting. 24 Hours, means available all day, every day If you are having a delivery, make sure customers can still gain access. Not just make it easy for the staff who have just woken up

After ordering and getting home only To find they had given the wrong order. Not the first time this has happened. It seems the staff are completely incompetent

Visited drive through last night queue was slow, only for the food to be cold. The chips were like they had given us a box that were left out over night really awful..the burgers were cold. VERY dissapointed

I challenge anyone to find a slower McDonalds drive through than this one. Constantly backed out on to main road, I turn around on the petrol station forecourt and drive back out again most of the time as it isn’t worth the effort or wait!

Had a bit of an accident when receiving my meal at the drive though, but I was handed a fresh meal straight away. They also immediately clean up the mess which I felt sorry for, kind people.

It doesn’t seem to matter what we order they are incapable of actually including bacon to any of the orders. Straws are also an anomaly it would seem. You would have thought after being shut for sinking during lockdown they would be keen to provide a some sort of remnants of a decent service that might encourage people back!

I just went to the drive thru for a coffee and there is a horrible build up of dirt on the drive thru shelf. It doesn't look as though it's been cleaned for months. This would be unpleasant in a food outlet at the best of times but during Covid it is especially unacceptable to have build ups of dirt which can harbour bacteria and viruses, especially in places where members of the public can easily come into contact with it.This hasn't been a problem elsewhere, I'm not using this branch again.

I came in earlier today with my brother, both wearing masks. We’d just ordered food and were ready to sit down when a member of staff approached us, an elderly-ish woman with black hair, from visiting previous times I think she may have been one of the cleaners. She proceeded to ask if we were from the same household. To give backstory, I am black and adopted, with the rest of my family being white, including my brother who I was in the restaurant with. Confirming that we were from the same household, the woman did not believe us and refused our seating together. Obviously not wanting to sit seperately, we felt forced to then leave the restaurant, feeling embarrassed. I am appalled at the service they provided, and we will not be returning.

Staff not very friendly. Monosyllabic answers to questions. Took grandson for ice cream following first day back in school. Ended up going elsewhere.

Spent 45 minutes in drive through, got to collection window and was told my order was missed. Asked to park up but didn’t have time. Would have got stuck as it was chaos in car park. Rung store for refund and manager had a attitude problem and was quite childish. Emailed a complaint to HO, Megan and Retygan replied. They expect me to drive an hour and 30 mins round trip for a refund. Best part is when I get to the store I’ve got to speak to the idiot of a manager and it’s up to him weather to refund it. What a joke of a company.

For the record, I've been a fan of Mcdonalds for several decades - that is until last week - when I received a fine for £85 for staying 15 minutes over the time limited in the Pencoed unit's car park. (There is no such thing in my local branch.)Before the current lock down, I'd self isolated for 14 days (being in the at-risk group) and was going stir crazy, so a drive-though seemed a pretty safe option.Two letters to the McDonalds' Head Office in London had no effect - just hard-nosed blame for having stayed too long. Photographs of the signage - way out of a driver's eyeline - were a pointless exercise. In the face of a global pandemic, McDonalds is insisting on 81% of a standard week's pension. As if Life wasn't bad enough at the moment. Shame on you, McDonalds.

Every time we use the drive through, they never prepare the food in time and you always have to park and wait a minimum of 15 minutes.Called in for a quarter pounder with cheese meal and still had to wait 15 minutes after collecting drinks.No point in the drive through, they just dont make the food in time.Poor service.

I do try and avoid this place because of the completely inept staff, appauling record of getting my order right or food which is cold or inedible. Usually I go to Bridgend and wish I had again today. Ordered at 0505 as usual nothing ready, was the only customer at the drive thru so was asked if I minded parking up so I explained that there is nobody behind me and I would wait here until I either get served or if someone does pull up behind me I will park up. Was told that I could not do this because I am holding up other customers. Pointed out again that there was nobody waiting behind me and in fact there are no other customers in the restaurant either. Was told ,'because of your non compliant attitude we will refund you'! . Politely refused this offer, this completely baffled the manager who then told me that I would now not get my food or a refund. Then my food arrived about 10 mins after ordering and still nobody behind me, he was reluctant to give me it but then handed to me, after recieving it I did mention that I thought mcdonalds was fast food and was told that it is not fast food? , He got that right! Got on the motorway, wrong order, how the hell can you give.me the wrong order when there were no other customers! Completely useless, great consistency though.

someone put a report when me and my friends were sitting down eating our meal when a lady put a complaint that we were laughing at a disabled work which wasn't true and the staff said that the women wouldn’t make it up as she was a member of a old staff . i find this disgusting as i know what it’s like to have a disability wouldn'trecommend visiting

Early last year, we went through the drive thru to be told to wait in the specific parking bay for our food, after 30 minutes of being sat in the bay we then had to go inside to collect our food as they still hadn’t brought it out and it was cold. Today we decided to give it another chance as we had 3 very hungry kids after visiting ninja warrior in Cardiff. This time we were only parked in the bay for a couple of minutes for us to receive our food. Drove home and all is good with the food until my husband was 3/4 of the way though his burger and came across a long blonde hair Seems it’s not the first time people have found hair in their food after now reading reviews on here, Safe to say, we won’t be visiting again

one manager is awfully rude has a sleeve of tattoos on his arms . terrible customer service when i found loads of hair in my food. No refund offered or not a replacement for my burger offered. Staff are so rude and need a kick up the arse . will not be returning

7am in the morning 4people in the restaurant including me and I’m still waiting 23 minutes for two coffees and a porridge! This place is completely understaffed!

Painfully slow, crap manager.......a shambles. We will avoid in future. Meant to be fast food but that's not the case here. Check your food before driving off, as half of my husbands burger was missing.

I have to start by saying that I do not use this McDonald's for myself, I am vegetarian and the vegetarian food offered at McDonald's is appalling. However I do visit to buy food for my family and the consistency of this place, in terms of quality of food and service, would be hard to beat.I don't think that in all the times that I have been here I've been given the correct food and on one occasion when using the laughably named 'drive through' was given somebody else's order. The drive through would be better called the drive,(order, park up, wait for the person with the box, check the order, ask for sauces, wait again fir sauces, given the correct order) through. Don't use it, go in, at the very least you can wait for ten minutes in the warm to be ignored by the staff.Any notion that this involves service is quickly dispelled by the assortment of misfits serving behind the counter. I understand that this is probably not their dream job but until surliness is rewarded properly in the Labour market elsewhere, we will have to make do with them. What is it about sauces that is so difficult? Are they trained to be reluctant to provide them? If so I would advise the management to spend some time training the staff to interact a little more in other ways, perhaps manners would be a start.If consistency is what you are after, I would highly recommend this McDonald's because it is consistently the worst fast food restaurant in this area. Do yourself a favour, go to tesco's, buy some rolls, some burgers, chop up the cardboard box to recreate the cold fries, go home and make yourself a 'happy' meal. To get the full experience, if you're making this for a few people, try to give everyone the wrong food.

After a 20 minute wait for a simple order - five minutes of which was spent being ignored by their staff - I took my food (minus straw and napkin as these courtesies are no longer provided) to a different table having lost the one I had very nearly set up camp at.At least I had some nice food to eat right? Wrong! The spicy veggie wrap, which was the apparent cause for the delay, was not piping hot as expected but it was full of the flavour of cardboard. Yum yum. I could then refresh myself with a sip from my mango smoothie without a straw and be greeted by several large ice cubes rendering the drink to cup ratio at a severe deficit. So, the extra value meal in a fast food restaurant failed on all fronts. Sauce now costs 25p for a pot which doesn’t even last you the pack of fries and value is in relation to the rest of the services provided, the food was not fast and the service would’ve been better had they have thrown the food at my car whilst driving past. Apparently, in the ‘restaurant game’ this is known as a drive thru.This was my first McDonald’s in a while but thanks to the wonderful team in Pencoed it will be my last for an awful lot longer. Keep up the good work.

If you got a spare half hour pop to the drive through at pencoed !!! The drive through is a complete and utter joke !! Repetitive poor service always asking to park up after waiting in the drive through for a ridiculous amount off time the place is simply poorly run . Fast food operation ??? I think not a complete joke

Waited for ages for my order. Finally came and had to return half of it as it was cold. Seems to be chaotic and badly run. Huge queue for fir drive through blocked the car park up so couldn’t get out. It was Friday 7.00 pm so may have been peak time but you have to be ready for the rush.

Went to McDonalds Pencoed just off M4 Junction 35 this week.

I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago for breakfast and a coffee. As I was early for a meeting, I opened my laptop and worked for 1 hour 40 mins. Today I received a Parking Eye fine for £85 (reduced to £50 for early payment) saying you can only park there for 1 hour 30 minutes. This fine seems totally unjust as I was unaware of any parking restrictions. I have just phoned up McDonald's customer service team and they said they were unable to cancel the parking eye fine. Its very poor customer service that McDonalds treat their customers this way. I will avoid McDonalds and take my custom elsewhere in the future.

Ordered a chicken nugget happy meal and a cheese burger . The girl at the window said the cheese burger had been put into the happy meal box . When my daughter opened the box there was no chicken nuggets in there . If you order or pay gor anything i think you should get what you have paid for . Happens all to often at mcdonalds . Run by kids that dont have a clue

Came here tonight sat in the drive thru for no one to come, so I left! Unbelievable! Last time I’ll be visiting here. Not the first time I’ve had problems whilst visiting here, but it sure will be the last. Not giving it the benefit of the doubt anymore. Don’t waste your time guys staff are to busy to take your money so go and take it elsewhere. they just like wasting your time and diesel!

I felt like I had to leave a review, we ordered through the ordering machines and had table service after getting back from the airport, our food came out really quickly and we were asked if we wanted any sauces, he didn’t have the sauce we asked for in his belt so he went to grab the, for us.

My daughter used Mcdonald's Pencoed last week. You can only park there for 1 hour 30 minutes otherwise there are parking fines. Despite leaving her number with the management while having a meal with friends , she has now been issued with a parking ticket for £85!!! I would recommend avoiding the place if that is how they treat their patrons.

Literally the slowest drive through I've ever been to.... Why aren't they parking up their cars when the orders aren't ready like every other restaurant. Drive through service is slow at the order point waited nearly 5 mins just for someone to take my order when I was the only person in the queue.... Then on just days they just leave you in a massive queue when the store is almost empty leaves you wondering what on earth they're all actually doing

This unfortunately is the closest McDonald’s to where I live, without doubt it is the worst McDonald’s I have ever visited, don’t bother with the drive through, it’s quicker to buy a burger from America, import it into this country, cook it, wait for it to go cold and re warm it, it takes less time than actually using the drive through. Absolutely useless.

Once again, the burger looked like it had been thrown in the box, so had to do some bionic man "we can rebuild..." it. Service was on point, but a MASSIVE no-no was the fact that I was pestered at the table by one employee to buy some charity bracelet. I'm all for buying charity things, but there is a time and a place, and that is NOT when I'm eating a mouthful of burger.

Whilst on a trip I saw the golden M of McDonald's just off the M4 junction pencoed only stopped for a coffee it seemed like no other McDonald's standard menus inside was very busy which is always good

Thats the only word to describe it when we visited tonight. Only saving grace was a very polite young lady who was grafting to attempt to clean the place. Sorry I didnt get her name but she mentioned that her mother was a manager there (her mother wasnt working this evening).

we stopped there for breakfast on the day that we left our family and the place was dirty, untidy. We were hungry so placed an order to be brought to us and when it did come there was no cutlery, no milk and by the time I had got the attention of a member of staff and they actually located some my breakfast was cold so threw it out. Couldn't find out who the manager was to complain so just left.

Hello We had lovely food from there today. Great service. The cafe was clean and lots of people available to help.

Went to McDonalds Pencoed just off M4 Junction 35 this afternoon.

Got my order wrong, and when I got my burger I had to deconstruct it, then reconstruct it as it just looked like they threw everything in the box and hoped for the best. Bonus point for being the first McDonalds in over a month that I could get an apple pie in.

Possibly the worst drive thru in the country irrelevant of what you order you will need to park up and wait if you don't mind waiting for up to ten to fifteen minutes then you would enjoy but defeats the whole point of the word drive thru should be drive thru and park up!!!!

We visited this restaurant on our way to Llantrisant for a lunch time meal the restaurant was full so had to eat in our car. The food was poorly wrapped and we ordered 3 large fries but they were half full what a con. This restaurant was very busy. Also had to pay for a paper bag 5p, due to the restaurant being full. You should also fix the broken tables so customers can sit down. I feel sorry for the staff with customers complaining right in front of me. Could do better Mcdonalds.

Volvimos tarde de un día así que decidimos no para cocinar. Qué comer? Los niños estuvieran suplicando por Maccas pero yo estaba cansado de conducir, así que no quiero dejar la casa. Mi hija sugirió que utilice el nuevo servicio de entrega a casa. Yo era un poco escéptico. . . . . . . Y me quedé.

Nos tomamos los niños aquí de vez en cuando en llevar la noche. Parece limpio y ordenado, y la conduzca a través de obras bastante bien. La gente que trabaja allí es amable y quiere hacerlo bien.

Lugar necesitaba una buena limpia. Tenía una envoltura de mayonesa de ajo y patatas fritas sin sabor. La otra mitad tenía una hamburguesa y patatas fritas TIBIOS. Pagamos 7 libras por este valor muy pobre para el dinero. Sólo fuimos aquí porque se estaba haciendo tarde y no había comido desde el desayuno hasta tarde.

It's a McDonalds. What can you say? This one hasn't been refurbished with the touch screen and it was reasonably busy in the drive through but there was one one member of staff to 5 tills in the main area and a queue of just 4 people, waiting. After five minutes another team member arrived and the queue started to move so we were served after about 7 minutes. We only wanted a drink, as it turned out, which was fine with a doughnut so no complaints. It's McDonalds. Same as the last one. But service and a smile is high on the agenda for differentiating between a good one and an indifferent one. Our team member did smile! Good on you!

Double Sausage & egg Mcmuffin meal, served with a hash brown and a cappuccino certainly fits the bill on an early winters morning !!

We use this McD's often as an early morning breakfast stop on the way to photograph weddings. Usually we don't have any issues, except the very tight drive through in our large car, but usually staff are lovely and bright even at the early hours. Sadly today wasn't the case, the girl on the window serving food, and the one who took our order got it completely wrong, my husband simply said I don't think that's ours as it was bagles and she tried blaming us for ordering wrong thing! Our order was only 2 mcmuffin meals with oj and a coke (no ice, which she also ignored). She said we should have checked the screen, a simple sorry would have been fine. But the other staff are usually great!

Want to the McDonalds within the Foodstore area of The pines / MacArthurGlen outlet shopping centre. New queuing system has been put in place since I last went there so people don't jump in front of you . Had 2 Big Mac Meals with Diet Coke and Strawberry Thick shake . Tomato sauce given free . Food was put into the trays which are clean with new paper added onto . Food was tasty and freshly made . Drinks were as usual with MacDonalds The Foodstore area is used by several different food outlets available and is constantly being cleaned and overlooked by cleaning staff employee by the MacArthurGlen. A new individual Rubbish Recycling unit is in place at the Foodstore area to dispose of any food , drinks or card you wish to throw away. All Staff are polite and courteous within McDonald's and the Foodstore area. This is a sit down or Takeaway Restaurant, This is Not a Drivethrough McDonalds !
