Mcdonald's Restaurant in Chichester

This McDonald’s is only consistent at delivering poor service and a lack of menu items, which has been raised by others. Tonight, after using the app to place an order, I was told by the ‘Business Manager’ that the order had gone through but rather than collect from the drive through I had to park up (no spaces available as everyone else was waiting for food, as usual) and collect it as a walk in. He was confrontational and an appalling example of customer service. By the time I had got to the collection window , my order was there and able to be passed to me without difficulty. If the ‘Business Manager’ has no idea what is going on in the restaurant or how to speak to people, it is little wonder why there are continued problems at this location.

Very slow service. Run out of lots of products. They couldn't even work out there are 2 lanes of drive thru. Needs some proper training

Half the food was wrong & not in stock. Paid £20 for double sausage McMuffin meal & bacon roll. Got a bacon McMuffin with nothing else x2. Can see why this place is 2*. Disgusted. Appalled. Will be taking up with food services too as was not cooked properly.

Stopped at McDonalds for a quick couple of bites as we were running late. Ordered fries and cheese bites and Diet coke. Fries were lukewarm, cheese bites were practically hollow and Diet Coke tasted of chemicals. We ended up binning the lot. Won’t bother calling in again.

Why when you run out of products or the milkshake machine is broken, do you not put a sign up outside so people don’t bother joining the drive through queue, I’ve been stuck in a queue for 15 minutes only to find you don’t have what I want order Crap service

Astonishingly poor service, poor quality of food and massively overpriced. The staff have no interest the building is run down and the business is a joke

sorry but i am here to write a complaint as back in april me and my friend we came here to get 2 cheese burgers and it tookt hem 2 hours to give it to us and we were the only people in line

Appalling. No Mcplant. No milk shakes, which seems to be a common theme in West Sussex McDonald's. Had a hideous "chicken" burger and cold fries. £13 I may as well have set fire to.

Service utterly appalling. Told to wait in car park for a cheeseburger. That was 20 mins ago. 2 staff passed both done nothing. I JUST WALKED INTO SHOP COMPLAINED AND WAS HANDED IT IN 10 SECS. AVOID AVOID ABOID

Waited nearly 2 mins at drive through nobody takes order, another vehicle arrives in the bay next to me orders straight away. I drive to payment window for a rude man to tell me I can't order at his window and I have to go round again. No thanks I will go Costa. Awful service and also the milkshakes are nearly always off for years this place is useless and if 0 stars was an option I would give it

41 years and an occasional McDs customer. Horrifically slow in here... Expect to wait 30min + for a simple order on a Saturday afternoon. Bedlam.

GO TO TIM HORTONS INSTEAD. Mc Donald’s refused my order because it was 15 mins before cut off, so I took my business next door to Tim HORTONS. Better food better service. Take note McDonald’s

Today I went to the Chichester gate store and ordered my self a large big Mack meal with a vanilla milkshake and a double espresso I went to put the espresso into my milkshake to see a bunch of what appeared to be maggots in it this is disgusting I took it back and got a full refund but this store should not be operating and should be closed

I was refused ONE extra syrup to go with my daughter’s order of pancakes at Chichester Gate. This has never been an issue at any other McDonald’s. I was told it was company policy which if the case is ridiculous. I know there’s a cost of living crisis but come on McDonald's I’m sure you can afford to give out one extra syrup. I asked to speak to the manager but no manager came. I asked if I could buy more syrup and was told that if I wanted more syrup, I’d have to order more pancakes - how crazy! I also had to get up again and ask for butter as having accepted that I wasn’t allowed the syrup I sat down with my daughter and discovered there was no butter. While I was waiting to get my butter a lovely girl who’d overheard me asking for syrup asked if I was still waiting for it. I said yes and she kindly got me one. So, I got the syrup and butter in the end but by this time I felt sick from the confrontation and my own breakfast was cold. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy it. Whatever happened to: 'the customer’s always right!'

Do not come to this place to eat the staff are all stupid and and quite clearly don't understand what customers tell them and you order a burger and only get the roll who goes to a burger place orders a burger and gets f all ....staff are clearly being paid for not doing their jobs plus they advertise that they do milkshakes but 9 out of 10 times their milkshake machine never seems to be working and they never seem to do milkshakes this is the worse place I've been to for 💩 service do not come here folks as you will be charged for a burger and only get the roll .....seriously fed up to the back teeth of people being paid and apparently trained to do their jobs and yet don't and get paid for not doing their jobs .....mean while I'm now left with a distraught angry and extremely upset autistic daughter having meltdown yet again thanks to this stupid place I shall never eat at another mcdonalds as long as I live you can shove your burgers and milkshakes up your🍑 mcdonalds I'm so f in done

Big shout out to Geoff! Torrential Downpour meant the start of our holiday was far from ideal. Geoff accommodated our family near to closing time and was highly hospitable. Thank you!

Took an hour at the drive through! Thought it was fast food. Never have any milk shakes, frappes etc, completely lazy management, and the state of the food when you do eventually get it..... Something needs to change. Was never like this pre Covid! Think...

Absolutely DISGUSTED , I went to Chichester McDonald’s ordered a chicken sandwich and asked for extra BACON I’ve got home and had a whole pile of GERKINS on my burger I hate gerkins all to their own but I do not like them at all...

Even asked for the manager, just as awful as the cashier. No wonder they work in MDs . The manager did not even apologise. Just acted like his pride was at stake.

Every Sunday I come here to grab coffee before work, the staff are always so lovely and friendly. The y always make you feel so welcome and can have a laugh and joke with them. Coffee is wonderful and perfect to warm to you up...

Very unhappy with our lunch here. Chicken wrap and burgers barely lukewarm and fries were cold. Fries were also only half full, very stingy with portion sizes. If I hadn’t taken away I would have complained. Not at all impressed and will not be returning to this McDonald’s.

It is what it is however Carol who was clearing and cleaning was an absolute delight incredibly friendly and really customer focused. Only issue was couldn't see the disabled bay and there was only 1 next to the restaurant. Just popped in for breakfast.

Great service and although one cofe was cold it was replaced quickly. Staff are friendly and the self serve works well.

Always shuts 10-15 minutes before it should. And they blame the equipment. Needs new management. Or Chang the opening hours

As mcdonalds go this one wasn't too bad. Staff were genuinely friendly. The food actually was very tasty. we would most certainly go back when in the area again. i think its recently had a refurb by the looks of it?

I rarely go to MacDonald's for food, but yesterday had been a long, hard day. There was only MacDonald's for something quick. I chose 5 chicken Selects, as a meal, I.e. With fries and a drink (coffee)Credit where it is due, but everything was piping hot and not unpleasant. They were as fast as can be, but those of you who read my review on the other MacDonalds (Portfield, Chichester) will know how bad the food can be.The real trouble is you can not predict the quality of the food. 'Yer pays yer money and yer takes yer chances!' Or perhaps 'Expect the worst, hope for the best and you can't go far wrong!.'As I say, this time it was good. Lucky me!

Funny, because – as a fairly frequent user of Chichester McDonald’s – I don’t recognise these criticisms at all! I’ve never witnessed any unsavoury practices; always found the loos clean and usable; invariably found the staff cheerful and helpful; and – perhaps most importantly – never had cause to gripe about the food. I use other McD’s fairly frequently (on my travels) and the grub at Chi is the same consistent standard – ie, no better but certainly no worse. But let’s get all this in proportion: we aren’t talking about haute cuisine – we’re talking fast food at very reasonable prices, so for goodness sake be realistic in your expectations. If you want posh nosh, look elsewhere and be prepared to pay much more for it! Having said that, I used one of Chichister’s more up-market eateries recently and guess what? I ended up with an upset stomach. Never had that at McD’s – Chi, or anywhere else! Nuff said.

Omg I think the staff lost the concept of what fast-food is. I think it may have been quicker to work out the meaning of life than get a quick meal in here!! When we asked how much longer (after 20 min) we were told it will be ready when it's read.. cheers for the rubbish response.

Came here after Cineworld and there was a bit of a que with one cashier on while others helping orders which I understand. Also the cashier had to ask me twice for my order. When I said I wanted to eat in I expected the food to be on a tray not in a take away bag and had to eat my chips on the table which probably wasn’t cleaned.

Visited with others to eat burgers and fries, the order came back wrong with missing items. I did not like the food, although the juice was OK. There is no atmosphere here . In fact I'd rather eat in a railway station buffet!

There is nothing I enjoy more than taking a quick break to McDonalds during a mad day rush. There is nothing I enjoy less than visiting this branch of Maccie D’s.

Refused breakfast menu at 10:29 as management advised staff to change to lunch menu. No point putting a time on something if you won't stick to it!

Este Mc Donalds es normal. La comida estaba bien y lo que se espera. Al principio me sirvieron un café con leche que no tienen leche, debido a que la máquina necesite un máximo de leche. Falta de conocimiento personal en funciones de trabajo y la organización de servir no era la mejor. Dicho esto cumplió su propósito.

MC Donald's is a nice place to visit for a quick, cheep meal. The food was nice but it was a bit buissy and needed a bit of a clean.

Very convenient to hotel. Quick service with the usual Mcdonald`s favourites. Good if you are looking for a cheap meal, and at least you know what to expect.

At the end of the day it's just McDonalds but I've never had an issue with food here, either with quality or never had an incorrect order, it's always clean inside and outside and the toilets are cleaned regularly as they're usually spotless. Staff seem to enjoy their jobs here too.

I have been here several times over the years and I'm afraid nearly each visit has been more disappointing than the last."Fast Food" is a misnomer here. To get your meal within 5 minutes of arriving is quite unusual; when they're busy it's 10-15 minutes standard. The burgers are ok (standard standards), but the fries can often be a catastrophe: cold, limp and flavourless (how the hell do they do it?).Only to be used if you're starving and everywhere else in the area is shut, or unaffordable!

We were staying at the Premier Inn near this McDonald's for a few days and their tea tasted awful from the kettles in the room. So out of desperation we went to McDonald's and had an excellent cup of tea and cheeseburgers. It was brilliant, friendly staff and the premises were very clean .

Long wait, surly staff (almost rude) food just chucked in bag, only half portions of fries. I'll go KFC next time....

Great location for the local Cineworld and Bowling alley.The car park can get busy in the evenings and is monitored as parking is limited to 2 hours. If you view a film at the Cineworld, you can extend the parking time to 4 hours.McDonalds have competition from the local Frankies and Benny & the Gourmet Burger Kitchen but still serve a decent meal.

so as every Mc Donalds standard practice is to drive through, order food, pay for said food, collect food. well the ordering went well but took almost 15 mins to get to the window to pay then another 10 mins to get my food. on getting my food (large 5 chicken selects meal) i parked and opened the bag to my surprise i had a extra large fries & a Mc chicken sandwich (cheers for the free food) surprisingly i probably got given someone elses meal, possibly happened previously to me paying and theyre people getting extra stuff in bags which belonged to the cars behind. anyway decent scran and nice staff but timings for my meal is pretty horrendous.

Cant beat it excellent everytime! well done guys. Tasty hot food that does actually look like the pictures.

two drive thru lanes means two things.1. a long wait.2. an even longer wait.eventually i gave up and actually reversed out of the lanes and disappeared into the distance.
