McDonald's in Ballymena

Most of the time they get it right but when they get it wrong...boy do they get it wrong. Burgers missing the lower part of the bap, cold fries, missing parts of order, no ice for drinks, no McFlurrys and sometimes a completely wrong order. But we keep going back 🤷‍♀️

The young lady and young man both had outstanding service nothing compared to our local McDonald’s, we were in this morning to grab a quick bite to eat, we were greeted and checked in on throughout our time there and it was lovely to see two people who genuinely look like they enjoy their jobs and are also fab at it! Didn’t catch their names but if the manager sees this review they could possibly check who was on shift to give credit to them as they are such an asset to the restaurant 04/04/24 10:40am

With drive through they always forget to add all items. Time I get home always things missings. I understand that they're busy but surely they should double check orders?

Very busy at 12.30. A couple of the touchscreens we are now expected to use for ordering didn't work properly ("just press it harder"). However, the place is saved by the staff grafting away to make sure you don't wait long whilst still being very cheerful. Top marks to them

Good to know this McDonalds keeps the trend of being overly expensive and getting orders consistently wrong. Every time I come here there's something missing

Best to use the drive thru. Avoid at peak times as you will be in a queue out onto the North road.

Toilets dirty and soaked in water.

Edit: update: it's now been 2 months. I have now gotten a McDonald's breakfast 10 times Since I posted this review. And they haven't got a single one of my orders correct. Place has went downhill to the dogs badly . Manager currently running the place was one of the laziest ever. So things are not gonna improve while she's running the show. EJ I'm looking at you you lazy @#£+. Spend less time in the back office and actually fix problems in your store Since they changed how they cook burgers food quality has been atrocious. Instead of cooking 4-8 burgers at a time and placing "just off the grill" meat onto dressed buns, the meat now lies for hours in trays , and is then placed onto your burger cold so the cheese is never melted. Service is terrible. My past 6 orders have all been wrong. Especially when there's a long wait. Your coffee is prepared the moment you order but you might be waiting another 10mins before you collect it so it's stone cold by the time you leave. This McDonald's used to be one of the best years ago but has been allowed to decline and decline. A shame really. Oh and lastly they have now changed from using coke syrup in tanks to using syrup from plastic bags, hence why the coke out of here tastes terrible nowadays (incase anyone had noticed) Yet another morning2/12/23 and McDonald's gets order number 9 in a row wrong. It's like a bunch of crayon eaters run the place now

ordered big tasty with bacon Feb 24, burger came with no bacon, i showed it to staff, she took it, brought it back with a skinny cold sliver of bacon shoved onto patty , tearing the muffin apart in the process... not impressed.!! ordered a large chicken wrap meal Saturday 24th Feb, wrap was very poor, hardly any filling at all, i was able to fold it in half, no point in taking back as place was busy. staff need retrained on customer service..

Always good service and hot food from Ballymena McDs.

I very clearly stated my desire for a crispy plain chicken wrap of the day, when such longing desires were crushed by the boot of the one and only mcdonalds manager, Ballymena, UK, I was livid, and would only be calmed down the third time i had to get my crispy plain chicken wrap of the day re-done. First time they just forgot the wrap!, although i was shaking visibly in anger, clearly being misunderstood by the ignorant manager, I let it go, but when the second time came around, and they FINALLY gave me my wrap, (which had already been payed for) THEY WENT AND GOT IT ALL WRONG!!!! , I had to sit down, and try and understand this from their primitive monkey point of view, yet after this i FINALLY got what i had ordered. WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN!

They still don't understand the process of putting salt on the chips.

McDs is what it is. The young student who was on table duty was exceptional in her attitude to customers and insuring everything was how it should be. First class.

Very very busy but service was somehow still really quick. Food was good.

Drive through speaker yelled at me it was very loud. She was nice though. Good food and service.

Placed order for family lunch to be delivered and received incomplete order rang Mc Donald's was advised need to come to branch to speak to manager but explained we had already paid delivery?

i sent out for food it was cold its the same every week we get cold food when i send it back i dont get a refund or replacement im disabled and cant go out but i wont be ordering from them again and will tell friends and faminy not to rder becouse allways get cold food and cant get intouch when you phone no one answers the phone

tonight, 03.12.2023 at 8 am. I had an unpleasant experience with a young blonde girl in which I asked for her help to order from the McDonald's app and this blonde animal how work at cashier behaved very badly and offensively with me as a customer and I can say that only drug addicts who can barely hold on work here on your feet. please do something against these people who are of no help. these animals must be changed and put people who understand the customer who wants to buy. thank you

Missing item from order.....Big mac which cosy £5....not good tonight but lesson learnt.....check bag thoroughly

STOP forgetting my dips when I order I’m sick to death of your workers being unable to pick up dips and put it in the bag. Our McDonald’s already notoriously bad so can we atleast maybe learn how to pick up little sauces and put them into a bag.

Excellent fast service thanks to the new touch pad menu. Very clean, some old gentleman cleaning up.👍

Order 2 plain cheese burgers Happy mail for my 2 kids n they were really hungry and they can't even get the order rite but my wife got the food only to find out wen she got home it was wrong n nw cold and waste of money.

Not impressed at all, had a van full of hungry kids on a Sunday evening so thought we would stop in. Usual mad queue to this one as it's in a stupid place with one way into both carpark and drive thru.... We parked up, got out and at basically dinner time the seating area was CLOSED! Couldn't use drive thru due to the vehicle size and again the poor layout, must think everyone drives a small hatchback in NI... So sat in a queue to get in only to find couldn't get food ( there were quite a few others in the same situation ) ended up going to one in another town... Strange it was fully operational...

No one came to take are order at drive thru. Drove right around and staff seen us but still didn’t take our order or at least tell us they were closed just pretended they didn’t see us

It is what it is and grandchildren love it.

We wanted to sit in but it is always busy. Staff do little to move on kids that are finished eating but hanging about

Just ordered a crispy bbq chicken wrap meal at 10 minutes to 11, got the food, chips where cold and stale and the wrap was dry and cold as a bone..what kind of service is that!! I payed good money for that food!! I expected the chips to be atleast warm when I got them what an absolute joke!!

Place is absolutely filthy, floors nee brushed and tables need cleaned. Had to ask staff member to clean our table, had spent his time talking to friends at a table.

Couldn’t find my order (app issue to be fair which a girl was pleasant at trying to resolve) but then it was found, clearly had been sitting because we got home and it was stone cold. Couldn’t eat it was so cold and scared of getting ill. Ordered with no bread and some genius put the burger upside down so ketchup and cheese weren’t edible anyway without a hint of cardboard. Waste of money straight in the bin except the drink and nowhere to complain. Much better service in Antrim.

Nous ne sommes allés dans ce Mac Do, que parce qu'il était trés tard. Parking accessible juste devant. L'ambiance à l'intérieur était bizarre 🙄 C'est un Mac Do donc ne pas s'attendre à manger des plats sains. Les salades sont Trés bof ! Bref ! Ça depanne mais bon..

Worse service. Wrong food hand to wait 35min for them to change it. Not good with 4 hungry kids 😡😡😡

This place ruins the McDonald's brand. The foodnis nearly always squashed and cold. Chips are never salted, ice cream and milkshake always out of order

Dirty table, spent along time putting my order in thru the app only for it to be having technical difficulties so I could not proceed, had to go up and order. Ordered 4 milkshakes and they were all mixed the strawberry had chocolate in it and the vanilla had chocolate in it too.

Food was rotten dried up burgers refried fries wouldn't go back

Sandy the facility to make iced drinks, desserts is mostly unavailable. Frustrating when you wait in a queue to 25 minutes most days to find this out. Perhaps clearer signs warnings at the entrance to the drive though would save people a lot of hassle

Good vegan options. Convenient location.

Got home to find two missing chips burgers and drink with no chips I had ordered meals! Don't forget to take the money but forget to give you the food!

Kinda busy ngl took ages for my order

We sat in and Ordered a double quarter pounder cheeseburger and medium fries with ordinary coke and a big mac, large fries and a large coke, both burgers were cold, the fries were reheated/refried and whatever was in the drinks certainly was not coke, we complained at the counter and they replaced the fries and drinks, the replacement fries were cold. First time at this branch of McDonalds and most definitely our last.

Not the best of McDs , very busy and it seemed like little staff. Had to wait a bit longer than usual to pay for my food. I sat outside as inside was manic. The cheese burger wasn't the warmest and there was certainly no way I was going back through the madness to complain. Maybe it's better at a different time of day.

This place doesn't understand the basics, chips are always cold and unsalted, burgers are bland and squashed and the workers are all children who look miserable

Been a number of times now, it's ok, nothing special. It's always been busy including the car park

Order never correct, always missing something, and by time I drive all way back to get it it's not worth the petrol cost

placed my order of a small drink and small mcflurry, waited 30mins while all staff got served who orderd after me, when i asked why mine was taking so long, i women with no teeth shouted and spat at me as she did, ive no idea what she said, i left without my items

Not a fan of fast food, but was pleasantly surprised at the freshness of the food and the cleanliness of the whole facility

Constantly get orders wrong this is the 3rd time I’ve ordered recently and food has been missing absolute joke for the price of it now would be better off and better fed at the local chippy

I brought dinner for myself and my partner and also my 2 year old niece and my little sister... but the drink that came with the happy meal was disgusting it was supposed to be a strawberry milkshake for the babie but instead it was curdled and looked very disgusting

I should be simple, you order something and they give it to you. Our last 4 orders had something missing and when you tell them they still don't get it right. Time to change the management but then even they are about 15 yrs old.

Worst customer service when i asked for the ketchup ,one of the staff behaved manerlessly by throwing the packet into the bag

Good place for a handy food stop and kids love it. Service is very much done by screen now.

Employee at first drive thru windo ignored me and decided to have a conversation with his colleague instead of taking my payment, Then as I pulled up to 2nd windo the other colleague that was at the first windo was bad mouthing me to staff at the second windo and didn’t realise I could hear this and see this so when I confronted her thru the windo she ran away all the staff proceeded to laugh at me refused to give me the ignorant staff members name, they shut the windo on me and proceeded to laugh at joke about it I was trying to get thier attention but was ignored and then they opened the windo and said why are u still sitting there? Because you haven’t gave me my order that I paid for they were horrible ignorant staff, wouldn’t answer the phone so I could put in complaint I won’t be back!!!

It's a McDonald's, standard as them all. They got our order wrong both visits.

Click and collect was very good

Staffs needs more training for a better customer service. We have visited i the easter weekend so may be there were shortage of staffs.

AVOID AT ALL COST Had no sausage for breakfast at 10.00 in the morning they found tow one foe my daughters pancakes and mint to be one for my sausage muffin ended up getting muffin and nothing ells call the manger over they said they couldn't do anything about it ( now when we ordered they said they had no sausage so we were walking out to go elsewhere when they said they had 2 sausage we stayed big mistake) so just too let everyone no to avoid at all cost

As usual didn't get what I ordered. 3rd time as I wanted to give them a chance. Awful service...Will never go again

Never include dips that are paid for or straws with orders. I mean who wants a 20 nugget box without a dip???

I am sick of only getting half a portion of chips and not very warm food. Not enough seating since they have renovated it. Called again at McDonald's and again portion sizes very poor I have attached a photo showing 2 small mc flurrys and two normal sized ones but they are the same size

Not very busy McDonalds on a Sunday evening, which was great. Food was the usual standard- great fries and milkshake especially. Good value for money. Meet one very pleasant member of staff who chatted with mist customers at their tables and as they left the restaurant. She deserves a promotion.

if I'm being real the service was slow! I had to wait half an hour just to get my food,a shocker!

Lost half our order because the staff are not bothered to do their job properly! They are thieves! Don’t order for delivery if you can avoid it! Lost £9 worth of food because they are just lazy!

McDonald's in ballymena is the worst. I came with teenage children for something to eat and they couldn't get a table. They ended up sitting where the baby computers were. Not enough seating

Service was slow at best where more worried about serving the drive through and the just eat people. When we did get our food it was tepid at best. Was disappointed as it used to be good will be in no rush back.

Every time we try and order a McFlurry they say it’s broke. They lie and just clean it early every day. Stop Lying.

Always getting my orders wrong and some bloke keeps blowing balloons up in there every day which is the only good thing about it,while I try to eat the workers annoy and start full length conversations whilr I try to put a Big Mac in my arse

I was in with my sister for breakfast took ages for the food to arrive when we got it the coffee tasted like warm milk mcmuffin was tasteless and cold just like the hash browns totally disgusted especially as it was a special occasion wouldn't even give 1star will stick to the cafes in Larne as at least you get warm food and decent coffee instead of warm milk

I should have shares in this place... drive-thru normally pretty hectic, but doesn't take long getting through.

Burgers are cold same as breakfast it's cold, also missing items from our order, it's really bad I would not recommend mcdonald's in Ballymena.

If only they could find a way to make it hot. And the three stars were for the coffee, not the food.

Everytime we use the drive through service the order is wrong

Terrible, waiting 40 minutes for order which when arrived cold food, could hear arguments coming from the preparation area, supervision and management seems to have failed to provide leadership to their employees, it is a new restaurant and I do know that there will be a few teething problems but this is out of control, not mc Donalds level of service, retraining and employee focus needs to be resolved

Hot dumpster fire, if you want to spend 50+ pounds and have a quarter of your order forgotten without being given a receipt this is the place to go

The table was clean, my order was correct and the food was lovely. The staff were miserable looking tho, unfriendly, and borderline helpful. I only seen one staff member smile and it wasn't at me.

We were served quickly we picked table service. A young fellow got us mcflurrys and we paid afterwards restaurant was packed .

All clean efficient system we got our ice-cream delivered out of sink.lovely
