McDonald's in Flintshire

They insist on blocking off the drive thru in the morning. I’ve just stopped going. You should see how many cars pull in, see the cones then drive off. Must be losing a fortune. Pretty lazy management tbh.

Been twice in the last 5 days. Used drive thru.. Both times very quick.. And the product was hot and well put together. Staff are incredibly efficient and pleasant. Best McDonalds I’ve visited in a very long time. 👏👏👏

not happy with the burgers. need way more gurkings- atleast 3. sort it out or im not coming back ever again

Absolutely disgusting this McDonald’s. The staff are rude and food is worst than terrible. Avoid at all costs!

Met a colleague for a business meeting over a few coffees. Cost us >£100 due to us both getting parking fines. Max stay is 1.5 hours. If they don’t want people to stay best they remove all tables and chairs!

Busy place with food just like all others. Could do with a good clean, if the staff had time. Staff appear to know what is available.

I hope I have the correct McDonald's. A55 Junction 31. Abbie was great and helped us tremendously with our family. We needed hot water to make a bottle and she helped with this no problem. An asset to the restaurant. Clean restaurant and fast service.

Cold chips, cold chicken nuggets and an overcooked Filet o' fish that was inedible to being crunchy all the way through. Awful. If we hadn't driven off on to the A55 before we started eating after a long journey we would have brought it all back to complain about it.

Ordered bog standard nugget meal, Big Mac meal and two lattes, had to park up behind two other vehicles and what for:- Tepid fries, nuggets and burger. Coffee that was very bitter definitely not a latte more like an Americano with milk. Highly unsatisfactory service.

Holy S**T PUT YOUR HEATING ON!! 🥶! Wow there is no need to be shivering uncontrollably in McDonald's. Very disappointing. The staff were huddled round the cooking area to keep warm without a care for your customers. Food was cold McDonald's I expected better from you. Very disappointed customers. 4th time been enough is enough. Get it sorted.

Stopped here twice in the last month as it's a convenient stop for breakfast. Both times, the restaurant was absolutely freezing, no heating at all. Not sure if this is a deliberate ploy to deter people from eating in as it was definitely warmer in my car! Food and drinks were also cold, probably not helped by the temperature in the restaurant! As it was only 3° outside there is absolutely no justification for not heating the restaurant. Altogether an unpleasant experience and will not be stopping here again.

Went for breakfast,but couldn't work the self service order system. When Mike P saw we were in trouble,he dropped what he was doing,and came to help,guiding us through the system,and later checked our food was OK. A credit to your business

Had a lovely tea really nice lady serving and we always find the staff great here, all hot and tasty, FAB MEALS!!!

Just what we needed after spending the day in Llandudno Hospital, not patients just visiting. It was the fastest service I have ever known. It was quite busy and we used the electronic ordering station, by the time we had sat down within 2 minutes we were served. The Super sized or whatever you call it Big Mac was delicious.

Had our tea on a Friday evening 10th of January it was after the schools and tea time trade had gone so it wasn't busy as it normally is, we always find the staff really nice and friendly everything was clean and tidy, my burger was stone cold and one of the staff must of saw me feel it he asked me if everything alright said it was cold the cheese was solid hadn't had any bit melted on it, was just about to go and ask if it can be changed, he apologised and went straight over and got me another which was lovely of him, all great otherwise these things happen we throughly enjoyed our meals with a mcflurry each for pudding yum!!!

If you don't know where you can get a good cuppa and a quick bite for breakfast then you naturally migrate to these places. Interestingly it was full of older people so I assume no great places to socialise in Flint either!

3.9.2019 ,used the drive thru , ordered 3 burgers drinks etc but the member of staffwas So disinterested ,he didn't ask if we required this that or anything else ! It seemed he didn't want to be there subblicently we didn't get what we ordered and when we did get our burgers they were Dry Cold and totally uninviting !!!! Won't be going back

it’s far too busy a McDonald’s for the parking they have allotted. The queuing system is a disaster and there is no help from the McDonald’s staff. There are plenty of other McDonald’s along the a55 and off branches of the a55 so travel a little further, or stop before and you’ll do much better

We went through the drivethrough and regretted it! After pulling out and onto the A55, getting my food out they’d forgotten fries (paid for large too)!! As we were driving away it was obviously too late, also I asked for a plain burger and they put onions on it, very annoying as it isn’t hard to follow an order especially when you pay the extra!!

Stopped here by chance and found it to be spotlessly clean and the staff friendly enough. However what made the difference was a couple of mini buses turned up and the manager was quick to point those not in the group to another till to minimise the wait...fast food if you like, it came fresh and hot. What more could you want from such a chain?

Fancied a McDonald's for tea, so we decided to stop for bite to eat, staff all really friendly was very busy but people were coming and going all the time, got a seat with no problem toilets clean we throughly enjoyed our meals! Most definitely recommend

I’m afraid that the toilets were a mess which showed a lack of pride in the place. The quarter pounder was quite tasteless but for £5.15 or something who is complaining? They gave me as much ketchup as I wanted.

All McDonald’s are the same, same layout, same menus, it was clean ( cleaning staff busy ) and same prices.

Blimey this place is busy and a bit slow, but the food was as a McDonald's should be and it's cheap and cheerful stuff.

It’s a McDonald’s what on earth are people expecting?!?!?? You pay only a few pounds for a burger meal, not a 5* restaurant so you don’t expect big things.

New drive through is better. Food always hot..good selection good value for money ..staff very helpful

Tried to order 3 meals at drive through, only managed to give order for 2 and the operator directed us to next window and was gone. Went to next window and explained we wanted another meal to be told by counter assistant that it wasn’t her, but she did take the order then for the other meal we wanted and we paid. We got food and one of the two milkshakes had no flavour. Took it back and they did another one half full, then told machine ran out of ingredients. So asked for refund to be told by the staff member that he didn’t know how to do that. As our takeaway food was getting cold we left without the milkshake we had paid for. Not a good experience, especially as we had been sat in a hospital all day in Liverpool.

We have stopped here multiple times over the past few months and the store is closed and drive through coned off.

This review has to say it’s a McDonald’s. You all know what they serve and what it’s like inside. Clean. Tidy. Staff always helpful and recommend if you like fast food cooked well at a decent price

I don't think I've ever had a burger from here where the lettuce is actually inside the bun. I don't understand why the lettuce is always (seemingly) thrown into the box after everything else...?

This is a pretty damn good McDonald’s. Food is hot and fresh. The coke I bought was actually full fat coke, not lacking postmix syrup like most McDonald’s I get a drink from. Staff are proactive and friendly. It is a very busy McDonald’s but we got our food very quickly, quicker than most quieter McDonald’s. Would have given 5 stars if the restaurant had been cleaner and if my McFlurry wasn’t so small.

We visited here twice - once on the way to holiday and again on our return journey at the request of grandchildren! Despite being very, very busy on both occasions we got a table outside (as travelling with dog) and had the food brought out to us. Staff couldn’t have been pleasanter. Previous reviews comment on the food but if you don’t know what to expect from McDonald’s by now then perhaps it’s not for you!

I visited this restaurant for breakfast. Service could have been faster, server was slow and only able to focus on one item at a time, the real problem was shortage. It was only 0930 and they had no fruit bags only melon. Always willing to try something new I had a bag. The description hinted at different melon types but there was just one. The flesh had been taken close to the skin making it very tough. I get the bags for my daughter, she wouldn't eat them because of this issue.

Weve visited McDonald’s on a few occasions and find that every time We’ve been the food is warm, staff don’t smile and can be very rude aswell as management !! stopped eating there now...I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Women in front of me had one of her meals completely missed and no apology was given, my friend and I ordered are food at the same time she received hers first and I had to wait an extra 10 minutes because there were no fries left whatsoever, god knows how long people in the drive threw waited for there's.. And still no apology given

Late lunch quarter pound cheeseburgers barely warm - we all know that’s something that should never happen at McDs - so something very obviously not right with the cooked shelf-life policy enforcement here when we visited.

Called in there on the way home from Birmingham on a very wet Sunday 21/01/18 - I'm not new to McDonald's by any means though not been there for some years. My wife ordered the McChicken sandwich whilst I chose the Big Mac (meals). The displayed images of the meals on the walls behind the ordering counter seemed a million miles away from what we received. The displayed images showed nice juicy thick burgers and a chicken fillet that carried on outside the bun - if only!! Small piece of chicken and two dire burgers - certainly a galaxy away for the mouthwatering pictures of same fare on display. It was OK and filled a gap BUT HOW do they get away with it? Makes you wonder if it's a trading standards matter?

We were returning home late with our 10 year old son , so we went through the drive through to eat the food as we were driving.we got on to the a55 which is.a large dual carriage way with few junctions.we opened up the bag to find the chips were just scattered at the bottom of the big not in individual cartons.and our sons meal wasn't there.Its not nice seeing your child upset, who wanted to go back to get his meal.On returning home I was still wound up so I sent a email to McDonald's who said they have passed it on to the Holywell manager who never bothered to reply or acknowledge the email.I then wrote again to McDonald's head office who have also not acknowledged my latest email.very poor probably get enough business and aren't bothered. I've had to explain to my son we won't be going there no more.we paid for food we never received .very dissapointed.

I was really disappointed with the way this member of staff treated everyone, especially as she's a part of the management.

Following a long car journey we stopped of here for a bite to eat. We always enjoy McDonalds but didn’t expect hot food due to this restaurants location however we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh and the staff were cheery. Worth pulling over for something quick to eat if passing.

I'm not a prude. But called in for a coffee on Monday eve to break up a long journey. Astounded to hear one of the managers swearing like a trooper from behind the counter at other members of staff. He appeared to be joking with them but in full hearing of customers including young children. Won't be returning as I usually would have my kids with me. Yep it's only a McDonald's but come on get a grip of your managers.

Visited here as it's just off the A55. Was served immediately even though it was lunch time. The girl that served me was obviously training but still did a good job. Premises clean and the toilets clean as well.

Aunque una reciente ampliación de aparcamiento puede haber mejorado la situación brevemente, los visitantes aún insisten con aparcar en la carretera principal fuera de la ubicación, que es un notorio lugar negro accidente que incluye víctimas mortales. Mcdonald's han hecho poco para frenar esta aparición regular aparte de poniendo un CCTV para usted bien si te quedas demasiado tiempo en el aparcamiento. . .

No me malinterpretéis por el título. . . . Este es un mcdonalds eficientes en términos de calidad y rapidez de servicio. El único problema que tuve fue que la última vez fuera el aparcamiento era horrible y no había un montón de espacio de estacionamiento para familias y gente dosabled.

Called here recently for a quick drive thru meal. Service was prompt. meals where hot, and as ordered. Had to drive on as car park was very full. Pulled over to eat and found once again no salt or pepper nor no sugars to go...

I have been struggling to start off with at least 1 positive thing about this place.OK so the restaurant was clean and tidy, thats about it sadly.The service is slow and forget the possibility of a smile, staff are in desperate need of some motivation.Food is cold and tasteless. wont be bothering again.

WOW as I walked through the door to the right of me I got wet! Yes wet as there was a group of vile unruly disgusting kids on their own and 1 decided to cover 1 young girl from head to toe in tomato sauce! So then a huge coke was thrown and a tray and food followed! I will admit I was NOT polite at all to these horrid brats with NO manners and just then a young girl, I assume assistant manager or manager or supervisor as she had a white shirt on, flew from behind the counter and kicked them all! Thank god! But later as we sat to eat our meals one of the dads came in and blamed EVERYONE else and some of us there were asked what happens, by the father, to the father informing us we where liers as his daughter was from a hundred miles away and did not know the other kids that she was sat with! My response was "Well why did you drive 100 miles to leave your daughter here if she knows no one? That's bad parenting someone should tell social services " He was not happy! This is the first and only time we have had a problem here and hopefully the last as the kids live popping in even if it's just for drinks! Well done to whoever that member of staff was she was 100% polite, well mannered and delt with the situation perfectly! To the parents teach your kids RESPECT AND MANNERS they need them!!!! And next time I will demand you pay MY dry cleaning bill!!!

Let's face it, there's not a lot of difference between McDonald's. Same food, similar restaurants, OK staff. The reason for the 3 star is that the food is average. This restaurant is average like most of the others.

Drove throw around 12pm. 2big mac meals.On easting them. Just tasted like cardboard. Chewie dry .baps were just like eating the box they came in. Chips hard and uneadable.Not reccomend sorry. Let down to the chain.

Extremely long wait in the drive Thru today. Order not complete , had to pull into the grill bay and enter restaurant to say that items were missing from order. On the plus side food was very hot :)

We went through the drive thru only to be asked to wait by the gentleman on the headset. After waiting, there was no apology whatsoever for our wait. We placed our order and met him at the next window. No manners again no please, no thank you no nothing- too busy serving the car behind us to even speak apart from to inform us of the amount. Hoping for a better service at the next window we were faced with another individual who couldn't find it within himself to speak or use his manners either. Food handed to us and was going to carry on. We had to ask for ketchup to go with our nuggets (considering you have a choice of dips with the sharebox). I would have rated 1* but the food was hot and fresh so it deserved more than the 1* but the staff and their mannerisms are likely to have a significant impact on people's experience here and the franchise owners business. They need a good shake up to be honest. Manners cost nothing but go a long way!

I went in for a coffee as the drive thru was backed up, there was a que at the tills, no real suprise as it is a busy place, I ordered a coffee and had to stand stound for a good 10 mins, the staff didn't seem to have a clue what was going on, walking about and not really doing much at all, despite thete being people clearly waiting to order.The lad sorting out my coffee went to the machine straight away and then disappeared, never to be seen again, i had to ask another member of staff to pick my coffee up and hand it to me. I got the distinct impression there were many new members if staff working that day, not an issue but surely there should be more experienced members of staff there showing them the ropes.

Mcdonalds food same as always. Quick and efficent service. The car parking is awful and not pedestrian friendly if visiting the nearby garage.

Service poor - And to top it all, just received a UKPC fine for £100.00 for over staying a 2hour limit by 6 minutes. The recorded duration of stay 02:06 contravening the trems & conditions displayed on signage... Be warned.

Me and my father were on our way to an university open day, and were following normal procedure of having a McDonald's hot chocolate for the journey. Usually we stop in the Llandudno Junction McDonald's, but looking back now I am so relieved and blessed we didn't.I knew the second we entered the car park that this trip was special. I could smell it in the air. Then, I saw the advertisement for a special edition Sausage and Bacon Sandwich. The word 'tempted' doesn't justify how I felt. I had been mentally seduced by the picture. I had to have the Sandwich, or my life would not have been worth living. Then, the voice came through the speaker.Welcome to McDonald's, can I take your order?It was like Jesus Christ himself was speaking to us. It was a religious experience already.My father placed the order for a hot chocolate for himself, and a Sandwich meal for me (of course with a hot chocolate too) The absolute babe of a cashier was so helpful, and quickly whipped off the dastardly cheese and grilled onion, of which I am not a fan. It's an unnecessary edition to such a modern masterpiece.The food was ready almost instantly, with another absolute glorious babe who served us. Like Mary delivering the baby Jesus, we had our food.I am not a fan of McDonald's breakfast usually. I find the McMuffins too fatty to enjoy first thing in the morning, and I can honestly say I believe that's the worst way to start a day. But, (and I mean but) the Limited Edition Sausage and Bacon Sandwich is the best thing I have ever had in my mouth before 10:30am. It was absolutely delectable, with a perfect sausage-to-bacon-ratio and just enough ketchup to not border on excessive. Then, as if this meal couldn't get any better, I had a life changing experience. A McDonald's Hash Brown. Cooked to a level of absolute perfection our good Lord could not achieve himself, and alas, not stuck to the wrapper like every single McDonald's hash brown I've ever had in my life. Then, the hot chocolate. A rich blended taste which was equal sweet, creamy and heaven in a cup. I didn't know what I'd done as a human being to deserve such a heavenly experience on a cool, crisp Saturday morning. You could definitely say I was Lovin' It.

It's hard for me to judge this place really as I only ordered a cheese burger to go. The young man who served me (I think his name was Keiron) was pleasant enough and got my order right despite not having yet earned any stars on his McDonald's badge and the cheeseburger was exactly the same as any other McDonald's cheeseburger I've ever had in the past.Under normal circumstances I'd have awarded three stars however I've decided to mark this place down to one (and I've only given them that because there's no option to award zero) for showing complete disrespect to their customers by allowing a private parking company to operate on this site. Why they feel they need to this action on such a remote site is a bit of a mystery, or maybe it's just a cynical attempt to fleece a few more quid out of their customers? It didn't affect me with my one cheeseburger but as a matter of principle I won't be returning. The petrol station next door has little branches of Subway and Greggs inside it's shop so next time I'll be going there instead.On the subject of the car park when I visited there was a group of Merseyside Police officers (I didn't ask whay they were up to in darkest Flintshire) eating lunch outside. They had a couple of patrol cars parked in the car park, one of which was parked slap bang in the middle of two parking bays. I wonder if the parking "management" company has sent one of their fake fines to Merseyside Police HQ?

Visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and in common with all other McDonalds, nothing stands out - service is distinctly variable and average and the food quality is as you would expect.

Visited here recently and spent loads on food and coffees as there were quite a few of us, just had a Parking Charge Notice through the post today regarding our visit, "Please pay £100 as we were in the car park for 2 hours" the whole time we were in McDonalds spending money. Well don't worry McDonalds I wont be making the same mistake twice. Will not be visiting here again & would suggest anyone else considering a trip up here beware!

Went to Drive Tho. Happy meal, made sure I asked for Tom sauce for my 5 year olds meal. I got the 'Big Tasty' with small fries. Not been to MDs for a while but even so - £9 just for these two meals!! Read through the computer typed order before paying to ok it. Went toPick up meals and drove off.Parked in layby on A55 to eat. Guess what - NO TOMATO SAUCE, NO RECEIPT, NO NAPKINS.ONE UNHAPPY CHILD, ONE ANNOYED DRIVER.All this for the princely sum of £9. Avoid.. Never Again

On the rare occasions I visit this "Drive thru" McDonalds, under duress from my daughter, they never fail to meet their appalling standards. I have been here on three occasions in the last 8 months and on two occasions they forgot to include items I had paid for, which you only discover when you get home. On all three occasions having placed my order and paid for it I was told to go and wait in the carpark until it was ready, not quite the idea of a drive thru. On the last occasion I had ordered a Brazil special promotion for the world cup which was emblazoned all over a huge banner in the carpark. The anonymous person on the other end of the intercom didn't seem to know what I was talking about and said it must be a Bacon tasty. I think tasty might have been the wrong choice of word. Now given that this was a promotion for the world cup, one might assume that a drive thru fast food outlet would have them readily available but true to form I was asked to park up and wait. Do McDonalds not do anonymous checks on their outlets or read their reviews?

I went here for a meal and to use the Wi-fi to do some work as encouraged by Mcdonalds... 2 weeks later I get a letter from a parking company demanding £50 (plus £10 admin fee as I have a fleet car)I had no idea there was a time limit as I was not expecting or looking for signs of this in a Mcdonalds??Why would they charge for parking anyway, it`s not as if it`s in a town centre or built up area. Went there with my nephew, the staff didn't look happy to see us let alone serve us ! n when we did get served i had to go back cos they'd forgotten items , we did eventually get sorted n came to eat , the food was cold not good guys :(
