McDonald's in Scarborough

Tried to get money of me by a man named Vasile-Alez on Uber Eats. Food was cold and took too long. Never again 😡

Each time I have ordered a uber from here I have had missing food,drinks,straws and sauces. If it was the odd occasion I could understand however this is everytime! This resulted in me contacting the store to be greeted by a rude, totally clueless and unprofessional manager who took no responsibility and advised me to take it up with uber despite there being nothing wrong with the delivery it is the missing food each time! DO NOT waste your money or time ordering from this store. I certainly wont! The management are unprofessional and quite clearly by other reviews have no care for customer service and ripping customers off! This place needs new management or better still SHUTTING DOWN!

Whatever you do don’t order Uber eats from here! Absolute garbage!! Over an hour for delivery when it was still showing 15-20 mins on app.

Wouldn’t order from here at all Ordered the food Uber eats delivered perfectly in good time too opened my order missing the food I ordered And paid for was given something completely different no sauces no straws to drink a milkshake with, guess I’ll just use my fingers. Manager no help whatsoever , worker Who answered the phone didn’t give care had the cheek to say get intouch with Uber. Why McDonald’s? You packed the order Uber delivered it without a problem Blamed them for their mistake fobbed me off. So McDonald’s whoever packed my order please be courteous enough to tell them to pay a little more attention when doing their job. Wouldn’t send out another driver claimed she ‘didn’t have any’ yet one just came to my house so send him back. Food was crap anyways don’t order chicken selects for a reason they’re rank tasteless and dry. Waste of money waste of delivery service waste of time.

Very clean, social distancing was being done. All staff very friendly and helpful. Staff outside to stop too many people going in at one time

Strange having to Queue like we do these days ,but once you are in its just normal, the staff were on hand to help which was good.

first you must enter the clasps of mcdonald’s greasy fingers, but unfortunately 12 kids on bikes are attention seeking yelling and swearing out the front at all times, i decided to bring a pair of binoculars to find the chavs in their natural habitat, upon further inspection, each one tends to walk out after about 5 mins of buying a coke, and then hover outside for 20 mins, only to walk off and come back 5 mins later, this is the same for each and every single one, and the cycle repeats for hours, not only are they annoying but generally unpleasant and rude, starting arguments with security and breaking rules for the sake of it, on multiple occasions i’ve seen people chucked out for refusing to put their feet down, i’ve seen full blown arguments, drunks, fights, all sorts, basically, if you’re going somewhere nice to chill out, this is not the place, unless you have a vape, are in year 9 and wear north face and trackies, the staff are not rude in any sense but i have had a few moments in which i really question what they’re doing, i remember sitting down at a disgusting table, a worker came along only to clean the table in front look at me awkwardly and then walk away, over all, it’s just like every single mcdonald’s, good if you’re running in, terrible for a date or something special.

I visited this McDonald’s with my family, it’s the second and last time I will go. I mistakenly thought the first visit was perhaps a one off, a bad day for this massive chain. Regrettably I should have stuck to the one visit.On the day we went in December, it was not particularly busy, however the whole restaurant was really grubby. No tables had been wiped and it was a long time since that floor had been swept and mopped. We ordered our food, I ordered the quarter pounder with cheese meal. The burger was extremely dry, cold and very unappetising. I returned my order and asked if I could have a warm one please. The chap put it in the bin and brought me a “fresh” one over, unfortunately it was actually no better and just over cooked a bit more, sadly I had a sneaky suspicion he got the original one out of the bin!! I honestly don’t think they could have cared less and with that kind of attitude that place will never improve. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone but sometimes I think you just have to find out these things for yourself.

Slipped in for brunch on 29/30 of December at 10.45 both days . The place was clean and tidy throughout including the toilets . We had the bagel egg and sausage breakfast which was nice . Loved the hash browns too . Still hoping they bring the big breakfast back .All the staff ,bar one , were brilliant . The one was a young lad that worked in the dining area he was taken up with talking to his co workers rather than doing any sort of work honestly I was amazed . However great location and good food .

So I waited for about half a hour for my Coke Zero then when I asked for it they gave me fizzy water I am very angry

Can be quite busy and surround by the usual teens with nothing better to do than sit around on street corners or McDonalds. It can be quite uncomfortable as staff don't appear to do anything to deter them. Service can be a bit slow.

My son went to the male bathroom and a lady that works here questioned him on being in the male bathroom. I think this is a disgrace and I will not be returning to this McDonalds! Anybody should be allowed to go to whatever bathroom they like.

Nine of us sitting in. Most meals customised. Waited about 5mins. Service excellent. Meals spot on and hot chips. Don't usually comment on mcd's but well deserved today! Thanks

I stood there waiting for the person in front to get served and I walked up to the desk the woman behind the counter looked stood sideways looking at the other two by the hatch that dispenses the food just listening to the conversation totally ignored me when I asked is this normal customer service to ignore the customers said she was looking at screen and said youwasn’t you listen to the conversation you call this customer service and I walked out went to KFC not a bad meal service was great

Could have voted it as 'poor' as on all 3 trips this week its been awfully slow due to it being so busy, but seeing as there is only one in Scarborough, its going to be busy. I only ordered cups of tea when i went, but the orders are made up in order of when they are taken, so had to wait a while dur to larger food orders being made up. Alot of staff packing orders and making drinks so they got through them as quickly as they could.

Enjoyed a McDonald's here even had it delivered to our table. The young man that severed us was very polite.

Called in for a quick bite to eat very slow service and waited 25 minutes to be served Then had to try and find some where to sit time we got are food it was nearly stone cold

Headed for the McDonalds as we arrived very early in Scarborough as we knew they would be open.

Had breakfast here whilst on a short stay just round the corner. I have renewed my love of bacon and brown sauce and decided that you do the best coffee, thankyou, nice and friendly staff too!!

Arrived in Scarborough early so headed for McDonalds before going off to do some shopping. It's located just off the main shopping street and was clean and tidy when we visited.

Always great service food can slow at times but always fresh and if they is a problem is sorted by the manger.

Polite staff and very friendly owner, food very hot and tasty and service was very fast even at a busy lunch time

As we were walking on the front in Scarborough we fancied a coffee and Maccies is usually great. Quick trip up the historic funicular lift and hey presto you’re here. We ordered at the self serve tills which are always great and found a seat. The table hadn’t been cleared but a staff member quickly approached and asked if he could quickly clean it. We then waited just a few minutes and the drinks arrived. Great service and the team here certainly are no clowns!!

Nice enough, if they hadn't forgotten to give me the custom burger I'd ordered. Instead giving me the standard, didn't find out till I was home. Too late by then: (

If you want to go somewhere to get abused by kids who have no respect for their elders and are just sat in this place to take the piss out of people, its also a police hotspot, this is the place for you, I'll never step foot in the place again

We chose to have an early breakfast here. It was very busy and we had to wait a while. The restaurant was full and we had to wait for seating but it was good service.

Called in for a coffee whilst visiting Scarborough to view some property. This is the cleanest, nicest MacDonalds I have ever been is. The decor made me and my husband smile and the coffee was great. This is a great place for a coffee better than queuing at one of the specialist coffee shops!!

very polite and friendly staff - they gave us two tickets with the same number so that our food came at the same time (when waiting for food as we ordered separately). as far as a mcdonalds breakfast goes, it couldn’t be any better. really quick service and the food was amazing as always from mcdonalds. very clean and well kept unlike some other McDonald’s. we did come very early though, but overall a good experience.

Well where to begin first restaurant was dirty and I mean dirty staff where not very friendly food was ok but not the usual standard you get at McDonald’s generally needs a big kick up the managers rear to sort it out or will continue to go down hill very sad state

I chose big mac and fries and I got served in seconds.The food was ample. The staff were very pleasant too.

Not only did they forget parts of my order, they also gave me the wrong mcflurry after checking twice that they had the right one. All I wanted was some ice cream, now all I have is disappointment.

It was a damp wintery day and we'd walked a lot so we're in need of a sit down and a tasty snack. For Easter they had a chocolate egg mcflurry! Wow, what a taste, amazing

the best time to go there is before 12 noon as it is not too busy at that time. the staff are very polite and helpful.

We have often visited McDonalds for breakfast especially when travelling however this time we stopped off for lunch. They have a much better selection and choice than previous visits especially as they are offering a lower calorie choice. We opted for one of these with a shaker salad.

Since our last visit this McDonalds has had a revamp and is much improved. The new order boards are great and you can select what you want, pay and then take a seat in a selected zone and the food is delivered to your table....

I call in here frequently for my morning coffee and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. I find the new self service system very effective and the food is brought to your table in the zone of your choice. The breakfast menu is excellent...

Why is it the burgers never look the same as the pictures in McDonal. Flat lettuce going brown tomatoes not fresh looks like it has been thrown together

Visited this establishment on a midweek lunchtime. Although the restaurant was very busy we still received cold, greasy, fries and lukewarm nuggets and burgers. In addition we did not receive our ketchup from our server.

Popped in here in the early evening of Sunday 30th July for a snack.It was our last evening in Scarborough and it took us all that time to find it as it was our first visit to the town centre!Ordered a double cheeseburger and a strawberry sundae.My wait wasn't long and the staff member that served me was pleasant and polite.I'm not going to wax lyrical about the food as it is the standard McDonald's fayre which you will get up and down the country. Suffice to say that it was enjoyable.Premises were quite spacious with an upstairs section too, however, the upstairs section was closed during my visit.Still, nonetheless, one of the better McDonald's that I've visited.

Lovely and clean for a start! Went for brekkie and was quiet with happy friendly staff. Kids got to play on the tablets who'd never seen anything like it (we don't go to MaccyDs at home). Food was what I'd expect but I'm rating them higher due to cleanliness and good staff.

I travelled far with my close associates to sit down and dine purposefully with a filling meal. However, it came to my attention that when my friend ordered his mayo chicken and Oreo mcflurry meal,a rather young immature blonde waitress called my friends meal "mayo chicken and Oreo flurry!"...does this sound acceptable?! Disgraceful. This is an example of laziness and idleness within the mcdonalds staff, is it to much effort to pronounce the "mc" infront of "flurry" ? From having said this, my friend now lives in constant fear from the mcdonalds restaurants chain. Henceforth, he transitioned himself to the KFC/SUBWAY family! I will not be returning to this horrendous establishment again nor will any of my colleagues...shocking! ://

Accidently dropped my breakfast bun this morning. Handed it to staff to dispose of to which they promptly brought me a replacement to the table and would not charge. Excellent service. Great in every other way also.

It had been a long time since I'd visited Ronald's magic kingdom, but because I had some time to kill and was peckish I thought I'd drop in. Disappointed to find that they've gone self-service and even more disappointed to find that this hasn't increased their speed. Food was as you'd expect, but you get what you pay for. One plus point is it was tidier than I remember, so every cloud has a silver lining I guess. Not a place I'd want to go every day, but three out of five is better than nothing, right? Right...

First visit to the scarborough mcdonalds, we were viaiting here on our way home from blue dolphin. Was quite busy but is very spacious plenty of seating. We got seated but unfortunately was quite dirty they was dried sauses on the table sides and seats. Food on the floors and wrappers. We used the new electeonic order here system where u order and seat then ur order is brought to you to avoud queinf which i think is great when busy and have a family to keep an eye on. The staff we're very friendly but also very busy helping and serving people. Food was served quickly which was great as we were all hungry. Food was warm and everything came as ordered apart from missing the sause as selected on order but nothing major.

When I visited this McDonald's on Saturday I ordered a double cheeseburger, chips and a regular tea the chips were soggy I wish they were done better a tested better like burger kings chips and also wished that burger had more of a taste . The store was alright but I wished they were more people on the till they was only two members on the till and they changed the way of the store where you order a and the collect your meal which helps people know which order there's is. And there was a few tables that were dirty.

We came here for food and we ordered on the screen and selected our seat zone. The food took between 5-10 minutes and the staff are friendly!!

Visited friday night, plenty of staff preparing food, only one on the till but looks like this is the way it will be now self serve screens are installed. Food and drink spilt all over the floor at the area right in the centre of the shop where you had to queue and get in and out and no staff members coming to clean.

Speed of service was amazing. Cannot fault on any part of the meal apart from there was old fries mixed in with the new fries.Staff were just amazing no faults what so ever, although the atmosphere was noisy with teenagers but mad it more welcoming

Came here for breakfast before a drive home after a lovely weekend. Had breakfast meals, hash browns cold, sausage mcmuffins hard on the edge where they had been kept in tray for long.Did replace and refund one breakfast, just would have been nice to have had fresh to start with

Visited McD's for lunch today. Ordered on order Point, food brought to table. Staff friendly & helpful. Only complaint lots of tables full of people not eating, just seem to be using it to get warmed up! Food up to usual McD's standard, warm, appears to be fresh...

What can you say about McDonald's that probably hasn't already been written? This offers all the standard McDonald's fare but all the staff were super polite and helpful. Very good

It was after 10pm on a Saturday night and, this being Yorkshire, none of the other restaurants seemed to be open.Because I was very hungry, I went to McDonalds and ordered a burger and something rejoicing in the name of Filet o Fish.There's only one to describe both of these items - tasteless and disgusting. How can people eat this stuff? It may be cheap, but it's not value for money, and it's far from healthy. I would rather have nails driven through my private parts than eat a McDonalds product again.

We stopped at the Scarborough McDonalds for a coffee and a snack. Mid week in January wasn't busy and the service was very quick. Even offered to bring it over to us while we took a seat.Usual McDonalds food and the coffee was good value and welcome on a cold day. We like the fact you can collect the tokens for a free cup when the card is full.

Usual Mc Donalds menu , Facilities to order n pay by card at machines as you enter .So good if queues are long at counter .Meal was hot which can sometimes be a problem with some .They had sold out of the special Choc Orange Mc Flurry advertised .But quick to offer with a smile the only one they did have left .The young chap that served us i must say Happy Friendly guy ,great customer service well done .Seating clean n comfortable .But did notice locals seem to use as meeting place somewhere to drop in warm up .But didnt buy anything .

Been to this place 4 times in 3 years and on two occasions I ended up sick within 12 hours. I found the staff to be unclean and with a bad attitude and the food was no where near as it is advertised. Floppy greasy burgers, rotten salad in the chicken wraps, sauce that looks more like spit in the food. One of the worst establishments I've ended up in. Their more than happy to take your money, but there's no chance of getting it back when you end up ill because of their poor hygiene and rancid food. The only improvement I would recommend is to shut the place down NOW!

Chocolate was very watery today and tasteless. Don't take sugar but needed it to drink it. Should I have complained? It was a freebie from my saved tokens. So should I expect more ? Or is this just normal for Scarborough?

Much better service in here then kfc and it is clean was served and food ready in less then a minite hot vans fresh and no pains unlike kfc!!!

The Scarborough McDonalds has recently been refurbished, and although I am not generally a huge fan of fast food, my friend and I decided to try out the new look place to see what it was like, whilst we were in town poppy selling. It was absolutely heaving as the weather was poor so everyone flocked indoors, but there seemed to be a lot of staff buzzing around and the queue was being managed efficiently.There were new systems in place, where, as I was paying by card, we were able to order using a large touch screen kiosk - this speeded things up and we got a receipt much the same as the Argos system, so we could then wait for our order to be handed over to us at the counter.We were looking for a specific dip my friend wanted and couldn't find it on the screen so we asked a lady for help - she was very polite and friendly, and when she couldn't find it either, quickly went away to check. She came back with the answer and made out as though it was no trouble. Excellent customer service so far!Went up to the waiting area and within a couple of minutes, the food was ready to collect. Watching the staff working behind the counter, everything seemed very well organised and everyone seemed to understand their role within the process. There were plenty of staff on as it was so busy.The food was as expected, and we had received good service from the staff, especially the lady on the kiosks/queue control. Would recommend to others.

Visited just for a takeaway coffee as McDonalds coffee is usually good.Very busy but queues moved well and wasn't long before we had our coffees.As it was a nice day we decided to take them away. Plenty of seats inside and a couple of tables at the front too.Coffee was good as expected.

Not really fast food when your waiting 15mins to be served. Only 3 people on over the lunch time rush. Ordered large chips with burger. Only to be given medium. Went back and told them and replace them, after muttering something under his breath, think some of the staff need to learn customer service.

Entered to place my order and was approached by a lady offering free burgers for anyone who would be interested in trying a new range and giving feedback and then received £2 per burger that my Girlfriend tried. (I wasn't that hungry). Ordered what me and my friend were having whilst my girlfriend was chomping down on free burgers :') was made and delivered to the till fast enough, everywhere looked clean although somewhat busy.

My friend was enjoying his caramel Sunday and then we were asked to leave as we did not have food but are friend did . Meaning we had to leave the premisses and so did are friend . This means that they didn't want us sitting there because a family of 4 could pay more money and sit there and we could be stopping that . This suggests that the staff care more about money than customers happiness leading to the fact that customers should be main priority. Due to poor staff this was not shown .

Called into the Scarborough McDonalds yesterday for nothing more than a £2 snack. A £1 cheeseburger and another cheap eat no longer on the menu. The place was really busy with long queues and the young man behind the counter advised that it was no longer on the menu but they could do something very close (by putting a sauce on). Smiled all the way through, as pleasant as can be (I wished I had taken his name). First class service. Well done Scarborough.

I have reviewed the Huntriss Row location of maccy dees before and did not score it too highly. However, when you are in town and have kids screaming for a visit due to a promotion you bite your tongue and go with the flow to maintain peace. This recent visit has seen no improvement, tables remained cluttered, bins were full, waste food and spilled drink around the bins. Queuing at the counter was worse. It really should not take 25 minutes from walking in to "trying" to find a table without clutter on it. I politely mentioned it to a manager and the response was "we are two staff members down, we are trying out best". But while we stood up to eat in the following 20 minutes nobody came out to clear the tables. Terrible :(

I have been coming to this McDonalds in Scarbourgh for many years in the summer holidays.While most McDonalds are the same,I have found the staff particularly friendly and smart in this one.We enjoyed the cheeseburger chips and Coke one day and the delicious Chicken Legend with a coffee on another.Tables were kept clean as was the toilet.Prices are always reasonable and few restaurants cater for kids as well as McDonalds do!

Staff helpful and friendly. Everything is very clean and kept clean. Food hot and cooked well for fast food restaurant. Service quick as well.

Visited for breakfast and service was a little slow but food was fine. There were several tables taken up with noisy groups that were swearing so not very nice if you had children with you. We avoided sitting that side of the restaurant only to find that the manager a few moments later was trying to stop a rather loud rough looking woman entering the restaurant as she had been barred again the language was not very nice and made the whole experience rather unpleasant. Not somewhere we will be revisiting in a hurry.

Was one of the few places open in the town centre late on with the exception of pubs. Food was fine, good service, clean. Rather a lot of young people hanging around outside.

I've stayed at the Royal Hotel several times in the last few years and always manage to slip in here for a coffee or breakfast .I like the layout of the building ,its on a prominent street ,next to the main precinct .and It seems forever busy .the interior is better laid out than most McDonalds I've been to and is definitely customer friendly .The staff make this place they are so friendly and every customer is greeted with a smile - honestly . Also I have never seen any of them "Slacking off" - They get on with the job .Food is standard for McDonalds but I like it !

Same service as at most McDonalds. I found this one to be very very busy and the tables were not always clean and ready for customers who eat indoors. Perhaps they were short staffed when I visited. Not really keen to revisit. Seems rather chaotic!

Called at McDonald's for a coffee as the coffee is very good and a reasonable price. You can collect the beans on the side of the cup to get your 7th cup free so good if you are a regular visitor. Plenty of tables set over two floors. Service can be a little slow if you go at peak times. A couple of tables outside as well on this visit.

Typical macdonalds had 2 days away and used this macdonalds for breakfast both mornings freindly staff clean restaurant

Very close to all town centre amenities and offers free wifi which is always a bonus. Typical Macdonalds, not outstanding, struggled sometimes with clearing tables, but overall an okay experience. Prices as per any Macdonalds.

Came here the other night after work just to get McDonald's to takeaway. So I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries. They got the fries right except they were a little cold but the double cheeseburger was no double, it was one single cheeseburger and they still charged me the price for a double I bet. Wasn't happy when I got home to find out. A ripoff

On Holiday in Scarborough and did not like the food in our hotel (The Royal) wewent to McDonalds for our breakfast on several occasions and we found McDonaldsto be nice and clean and friendly staff and value for money. Happy with our choice.

Just had a takeaway coffee as we were passing. Quick service good coffee and you can save the stickers to get the 7th cup free. Plenty of places to sit inside over two floors. Can get busy but plenty of staff.

Value for money not very good for a family of 4, although the food was of usual good McDonald's standards, wished we had gone to one of the local cafes nearby which were offering breakfasts for cheaper prices

The price reflects the quality 1:1 - Poor ingredients, appalling preparation quality, sickening, just do yourself a favour and instead of the fattening DontCookJustEat you SHOULD CookThenEat!! You'll live a happier life, in control of your intake, and will learn a few things along the way.
