McBrides On The Square in Ards

We went here midweek and had a lovely meal. We both enjoyed what we had and the portions were very good. The waiting staff were pleasant.

This was an Amazing experience for the family great food drinks service thank u Iris and the team!!!

Barely edible. Sunday lunch.. Factory prepped roast beef...thin identical tasteless slices. Clear thin swim of commercial gravy, no Yorkshire puds, big con for £15. Never again. General Menu frozen food led, chef surplufuous, management in control , cost led, quality out the window from former good standard.resting on laurels I'm afraid. Go to TT I'm told.

On Sunday night we were looking forward to our first meal in N Ireland for a few years. So disappointed with our experience at McBrides on The Square. On arrival we explained we were on tight time schedule - we were assured we could have our meal 'within the hour'. Service was pathetically slow. During this time we witnessed a diner being served with cold soup and frozen bread! She asked for the soup to be heated and explained to the waitress the bread was frozen. The waitress obviously did not believe her - she placed her hand on the bread then announced 'your right, it is frozen'. The soup and bread was removed. After a few moments the waitress returned with the 're-heated' soup and a plate containing a slice of bread placing this in front of the diner. Another waitress followed with a second plate with a slice of bread - the same slice of bread that the waitress had placed her paw over! Unbelievable!! Needless to say the diner rejected the soup and both plates of bread and requested the waitress to remove the lot. This should have been the cue for us to cancel our order and depart. Eventually our meal arrived 50 mins after we placed our order - but the meal was not what we ordered. I specicfically requested a salad rather than vegetables with my meal. A dish of overcooked veg was placed in front of me. I explained to the waitress (the same one who took our order) that I specifically requested a salad instead of veg. She grudgingly removed the dish of veg then returned with a small bowl of dried up lettuce. We ate what we could, hurriedly paid the bill and left - we were now running late. Later, at our destination my husband checked the bill and was unimpressed to discover the waitress had charged and additional £3.50 for the bowl of dried up lettuce.

There were seven of us for a meal tonight ranging age 12 and up, I was late in booking a table but got one no bother. The menu was quite varied and there was a special board too. I had the crispy Asian beef salad to start and it was amazing, hubby had chilli beef wedges and there were a couple of tomato and basil soups. All enjoyed, then main meals were of beef & ale pie for me, an open steak sandwich thing for hubby (was huge), couple of jumbo cod and chips, couple of burgers and sausages. All portions were more than enough!! Few had desserts of pavlova, chocolate cake and ice creams. A few rounds of drinks including 6 cocktails, 4 pints of Guiness, couple of wines, soft drinks, a coffee and whisky and the bill came to just over £200 which seriously good value. Glad we chose here and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Staff too were lovely, great food and great company.

We were on a birthday bash weekend to celebrate a friends 60th staying in Comber in a nearby apartment with two other friends We had the opportunity to visit this pub a couple of times on arrival from the airport while we waited to get in to the apartment and then another night for a meal. We were really welcomed in by the friendly bar staff on the first early evening clearly busy with locals we took over a corner and had a few drinks and a crack!! We were reluctant to leave but had too to meet friends later otherwise we could have stayed the night McBrides has an off license to the side which was extremely well stocked and a upstairs Restuarant. We opted to stay in the warm friendly pub and the meal we had was good quality pub food from a smaller menu ( top tip it’s a little cheaper in the pub and a lovely atmosphere) I had a steak cooked rare with great chips and a nice side salad and my wife had a steak and fried onion baguette with a peppercorn sauce both delicious We all had a good meal and just the one ( or two drinks) Fab place and highly recommended👍🙏

Staff very pleasant, Roast silverside Beef, Chips, Vegetables, and gravy, very nice. Chocolate Brownie salted caramel ice cream tasty. Also not forgetting jug of orange juice not to watery. Decor nice and bright plenty room and nice sitting by the window. Toilets lovely and clean.

Menu choice was great and food served was excellent quality. Iris Mcbride served us and couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. We shall definitely be back!!!. Also the the bar downstairs is great and lovely staff.

Located in a beautiful square in the quaint town of Comber where you can join very friendly locals for a pint of Guinness or maybe a Pink Gin while catching a big game on the big screen. Ivan and the staff will be happy to tell you about the best sights in the area such as Scrabo Tower and for the golfers a very challenging Scrabo Golf Club. Hungry with a small or large group Iris and her great kitchen staff will serve up great Irish food in great surroundings located just above the bar. Make sure you are hungry as they give a plate fit for your Queen or your Majesty and a perfectly drawn pint. Anytime we are back in Northern Ireland Mc Brides is always on our list and a great place when hungry and yes having a Guinness attack or maybe a hot whiskey if it's a cold day. Comber is located very close to Belfast with many great sites to see such as the Titanic Center

Have not eaten here for a few years so thought we would give it a try passing through comber we were met at door by two staff who welcomed us and let us pick our table chose by the window overlooking busy comber Square it is upstairs so quite a few steps. We were given the menu and specials board without any waiting and given plenty of time to choose we were served the drinks we ordered straight away. I had the tia curry which was creamy and delicious my wife had the honey chilli chicken also delicious the chips were standard and OK. Good food good service and reasonably priced we will not leave it so long again and we will be back soon

I am a coach. driver and was taken in as a guest.I have been in many restaurants all over Northern Ireland .All Paid for by the Group of People on my coach. But Rarely do you get a restaurant like McBrides. The food was delicious the service was Excellent.iam so impressed I will be taking my family to this restaurant and I will be paying for it myself. A big thank you to the Ladies from Carryduff who took me there.

Went for a Thursday night meal , lovely food and service , very nice pint of guinness and a bottle of red . I had the baked cod , it was delicious .

McBride's on the square is a really friendly house which also serves meals in purpose built dining area it offers a good menu of local dishes friendly service the bar offers a good selection of beers,lagers,and spirits function room can be booked for private functions

As a regular visitor to McBride's all I can say is every time I visit the service and staff just get better and better

We recently had a family party here for 27 people, staff were great and so was the service. We all enjoyed our food and had a thoroughly lovely time.

Very nice friendly atmosphere and good value for money. Food is also lovely! The Guinness is very good too.

This family run restaurant provides great food and surroundings, we'll definitely be back and would recommend it.

The restaurant is on the first floor, above the bar, however, it has it's own entrance. There are good views over the square from some of the tables. My husband and I had dinner there on New Years Eve. The restaurant was busy enough to have a buzz however it was not overcrowded and the waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was well prepared and presented and was served promptly. I found the price paid to be reasonable and will certainly visit again.

Always a warm welcome and a good pint. Tennants is the best around. Reasonably priced. Nice “homely” surroundings with great traditional food

We went here after a funeral service, they have a separate room upstairs. The staff were friendly and courteous, the food was plentiful, fresh and tasty. It’s a perfect venue for a private function. I highly recommend this venue.

I hadn't been here for years but called in mid week. I was a bit worried as it was quiet and thought it may have gone downhill. But it was just quiet. The food was great and the early Bird menu was terrific value.

Great food - has never changed in quality over the years. I have been going to McBrides for many years and have always rated it as one of the best eateries in the area. There is a lift and the dining room overlooks the tastefully decorated Comber Square. It is always busy which is a good sign.

Visited McBrides for a family meal. Even though it was a very busy night , the staff were friendly , professional and very attentive. Food was excellent with great vegetarian and gluten free options. Wheel chair access made it suitable for the entire party . Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. Top class

I have eaten in here loads of times, I actually thought I had already reviewed it. I must admit I have never had a bad meal in here. My sister and I went in and she is the pickiest vegetarian I know, and when we asked about veggie options we got a whole other menu, which is fantastic, always a must when in Comber

Great family run pub. Food good,friendly service.and reasonably priced. Would visit again.😎 Great experience all round. Only downside is poor parking.

Called in for lunch as we have on numerous occasions. Not very busy which was ok till the waitress arrived with the menu on a bit of paper, we ordered drinks which took ages to arrive, service slow. After placing our order, we waited another 25 mins for our food to arrive or should I say to be threw at us by a stroppy teenager who didn't want to be there, not once where we asked if everything was fine, would have liked more gravy, all in all food was average, service poor along with the decor, don't think we will call again

Visited McBrides for Sunday lunch with friends and was unfortunately left very disappointed. Firstly, the room was so cold we had to keep our costs on for the entire meal, the table beside us also complained to the waitress but nothing was done apart from her saying she was cold too. Our dinners were delicious, but unfortunately the unhelpful and unfriendly waiting staff and lacking surroundings let the restaurant down.

Called to McBride's today with my partner and young son as we have never been before despite living in the town for years and hearing good things about the food etc. I have to say, We won't be back again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone if today was standard practice in the place.

Good friendly atmosphere and well managed. Good range of local beers and the only place I would go to watch the rugby.

One of the best meals I ever had. Chicken tenders with Asian salad. Salt and chilli seabass on noodles . Passion fruit pavlova,with a wee between course coconut sorbet. Worth every calorie. Lovely day. AMAZING service. Can't fault it. #stuffed

Our archery club held its Christmas dinner at McBrides in early December 2017, and we all found it excellent. The food was very good, the service faultless and the room was perfect. Iris and her team made the whole experience so positive from the time of booking onwards, and the night itself ran like clockwork. I would not hesitate in recommending McBrides for similar functions and doubtless we will be back next year!

This place never disappoints! Lovely homely atmosphere food was lovely and it was great to see it so busy! Sadies team does a great job thank you! Was a small mistake with our bill but was sorted quickly! Shame we didn’t get crackers with our Christmas dinner but they cater for gluten free customers perfectly!

Called in on spec & boy was I impressed! Excellent value everything cooked to perfection our server Iris I believe couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgable. Starter main course very very good and fantastic value for money. Well worth a visit!

Popped in a few times and had great fun. Cold beer, football on the telly. Nice local pub. Good atmosphere.

Estupendo pequeño pub para la comida, el personal amable, gran relación calidad-precio, excelente servicio, cocina estacionamiento no es genial, pero en la plaza, así que normalmente puede conseguir un espacio.

Queríamos una comida tradicional en un ambiente bueno y el restaurante está en la primera planta, con vistas a la plaza y al ser diciembre el Comber plaza estaba iluminada con un árbol de navidad y decoraciones. Nos sentamos y se sirve rápidamente. El menú tenía un precio razonable pero no variedad. Todos tuvimos entrantes, plato principal y postre o café. Los aperitivos y platos principales fueron excelentes, sin embargo, sentimos que el postre era un poco decepcionante. El precio era muy razonable promediando 20 libras por cabeza, incluyendo una variedad de bebidas alcohólicas y no alcohólicas siendo ordenados.

Was in McBrides today for lunch. The 2 staff were very friendly and made our dining experience. The food was lovely and nothing was to much trouble.Will be back soon.

Went here for an early dinner on Sunday, had planned to go elsewhere but it had been shut so was a "on the spot" decision to try here and oh we are so glad we did! On arrival we were shown to our seats by a lovely friendly lady who gave us our pick of the tables, we were quite early (4ish) so there was plenty of spaces to choose from, we chose to go over to the corner near the window with a great view out on to the square, which was a very pretty sight with all the Christmas decorations! The only down side was it wasn't as warm in the restaurant as I might have liked, and the decor was a bit dated. But if you can look past that it's a fab and friendly place for food!Christmas menu was on offer- 2 course £12.95 or 3 courses and tea/coffee for £14.95, so of course it had to be the latter. Orders were: vegetable broth x 2, silverside of beef and traditional turkey and ham, with pavlova and profiteroles for dessert. The vegetable broth was served with wheaten bread which arrived first, both of us found it very hard to resist eating this before the soup arrived.. luckily soup wasn't long after, the soup was homemade, very hot and delicious, great start to the meal! Next up was our massive portions of Christmas dinner, with a side of vegetables and then the server offered us a gravy jug and cranberry sauce. Both meals were hot and delicious, from the lovely mash, to the roast potatoes, and the two big thick slices of succulent turkey and a slice of ham, with stuffing in the middle. The beef was so tender! Our desserts and the tea/coffee was the perfect end to the big meal. Great value for money, surprised it wasn't busier, will definitely be back!

My mum had sent my 14 year old sister and eight of her friends out for dinner to McBride's last month. She was worried about them being a hassle (as teenagers can be) to the staff but they were very accommodating and patient with them, which she was very appreciative of. Thank you for your excellent hospitality!

Out for our Christmas Meal and all I can say is it was excellent, very well presented and the staff were superb

my son and family live near comber we found mcbrides this year its very friendly and has great food great variety to choose from the daily special is great value i had the scampi for a change few weeks ago it was yummy pavalova to die for very good with young children good choice for tots etc very reasonable too will be there again and again

We have eaten dinner here and enjoyed everything. They have a very good 2 course special with a large selection of choices. We had sou of the day, pate', gammon and steak. It was all tasty, and wellmserved. The dining area is large and comforatble and the service was friendky and efficient.

This place is like an old tea room. The carpets are worn, the food is really poor and the baby changing room / disabled toilet doesn't lock. Really poor experience. We called here recently on a Sunday afternoon. My wife ordered a steak which was meant to medium but came out practically burnt. When I asked her how her side dish (garlic cubes) was she said "these are McCain's". My main course was roast beef which was fairly basic and reminded me of school dinners. I'm pretty sure the veg had been frozen. The decor is really dated (like something out of the 70's) and there aren't even table cloths on the tables. When I went up to pay the girl who had served just stated the amount. I had to request to see the bill which was quite embarrassing. We were really disappointed and surprised as had heard good reviews. We actually wondered if we had gone to the wrong place or if there was another floor with a different offering as we had checked the menu online which was totally different to the one we were given.

Good menu with sea food and specials. Locally sourced ingredients well cooked and presented tho portions of main meal on the small side supplemented with plenty of veg & Comber potatoes.

Love this restaurant.food is delicious and the service is great.good portion sizes and nobody tries to hurry you on with your eating.very chilled out and relaxed.

we decided to try this place out as we don't live far away. Place is clean and the staff were friendly. It was quiet when we were there and they had lovely st valentines décor up around the place. I got the chicken strips with chilli jam and a side of spicy wedges. It is a simple place with simply nice food. would go back for a Sunday afternoon or something to get out of the house :) there is a bar downstairs but we didn't go in. no complaints

As always the food was lovely and we are made very welcome with our 5 year old and 11 month old daughters. The "tea time menu" is fantastic value for money and we opted for the roast beef (hubby) and gammon in cider cream sauce which are both gorgeous and the baby goes daft for the veggies which are beautifully cooked! We just had to have a cheeky dessert and as always they didn't disappoint. The staff are lovely and make such an effort to ensure the whole family are comfortable happy and of course well fed, we just keep coming back

Out with friends for the evening, Thursday, we arrived and were seated at the window, not many in but we got great services, we had dinner and dessert great portions and good variety on menu, served by Sonya who was very attentive, very relaxed evening chatting with friends, watching the activity outside and great food, well definitely be back soon, great location, though not sure if it's accessible for disabled as its upstairs, nice atmosphere and good value food

My friend and I chose this restaurant for the 1st time as we had a few friends who have been before.On arrival,actually did not realise how busy the town of Comber is so it came as a surprise that we were the only table being used on a Saturday night!Overall,the meal was lovely and the service great,but found ourselves talking about the walls and decor that would vastly need improved on....Maybe then we would call again?

The restaurant was quiet when I visited with my family, for Sunday dinner. We were served promptly and there was a good range of options with a special menu for a 2 meal of either; starter and mains or mains and dessert, or an option for a 3 course meal. The portions were of a good size and the food was well cooked and presented. The restaurant is in an excellent position overlooking the square in Comber.I would recommend this restaurant as I had an enjoyable meal and I intend to return in the future.

We were celebrating a birthday with friends and family, from the initial enquiry with Iris in McBrides to the meal everything went off with no problems nothing was any trouble. We were offered our own menu as there was around 25 people in the party including several young kids. They even catered for several specific dietary requirements.We were all very impressed with both the food which was fantastic and the friendly helpful staff. Thanks again McBrides for a great experience

Another first visit for us as part of a group (bus load) to this fine restaurant. Restaurant is upstairs and lift is provided if the stairs is too much for you or for the wheelchair bound. The decor was warm and inviting adding to a lovely ambience in the restaurant. The staff were very efficient and service was good considering that they not only were catering for our bus load but also had quite a number of regular diners in as well. The food was delicious, plentiful and hot and nothing was too much trouble to the staff, they were attentive at all times. Would certainly recommend this place to everyone and will certainly be back here in the future. McBrides is situated right on the corner of the Square and is easy to find.

We have had a few Sunday lunches and evening meals and always have had a great experience. The food is good home cooking standard and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. McBrides offer a great varied menu depending on what everyone wants...the menu caters for all appetites!! you will not be disappointed

We were going to go to another restaurant in Comber for Sunday lunch but decided to try McBride's instead. We were not disappointed! Really warm greeting when we arrived and staff were very friendly and attentive. Great value for 2 or 3 courses and good choice. We live about 4 miles from here and in 26 years this was our first visit......It certainly will not be our last!

Went for dinner in quite a large group. The service was efficient and the food was above average. Varied menu and good atmosphere at a reasonable price

Went here last Saturday night. We haven't been in a while since the food had went downhill in recent years. So we gave it another go and werent disappointed me and my husband both had prawn cocktail to start and it was delicious the prawns were so meaty and the marie rose sace was delicious. For mains I had grilled seabass with a chilli salsa verde, vegetables and potato wedges which I was reluctant to try but was over the moon once I tasted it. It was so flavoursome and complimented the fish beautifully. My husband had a crispy chicken fillet with classic Diane sauce and garlic potaoes which he thoroughly enjoyed he said it was the best Diane sauce he had tasted and the chicken was so moist. We were both so full but tried desert because our starter and main course were so delicious. I had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and my husband had the homemade cheesecake which both rounded off a perfect meal for us both. Cant wait to return to mcbrides and make this a regular place for us to dine.

This is the first time I have reviewed a hotel or a restaurant for the second time. My first review was critical because of the meagre portions. Under normal circumstances I would not have returned. However, on Saturday evening I was conscripted as part of a large group into dining at McBrides. I even ordered the same meal, i.e. scampi. This time, without me referring to my previous visit, the portion was good, the food very good and the service excellent. The meal was good value for money. As a consequence, I have radically revised my scoring

Popped in for lunch with my mum , the daily special was salmon fish cakes which I chose and mum had hake both were superb and portions were just right. Value for money indeed and our host Iris friendly and entertaining overall experience excellent!!

I ordered the scampi. There were 14 pieces, some no bigger than a finger nail, see picture. I asked the waitress if such meagre portions were normal. She said she would ask the chef. I heard no more. On paying I challenged the manager on the issue. They apologised and offered to deduct the cost of the dessert. Too little too late

I was out for an evening meal and decided to call into mc brides. What a treat was in store for us, food was simply lovely, service super and great atmosphere. Very much recommended!

Have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and our 4 year old is very welcome and the food is beautifully cooked and seasoned. We find it very good value and the sides and veg are always just as tasty as the main. My husband enjoyed the roast beef this time and said it was cooked perfectly and the crispy onions were different but welcome. I enjoyed breaded chicken in a creamy tomato sauce with the ever good garlic bits and my daughter and I shared a delicious piece of chocolate fudge cake. Will definitely be back

Have eaten a few times in McBrides and I have to say that the food is absolutely delicious. I had steak ciabatta with pepper sauce and it was so tasty, I really enjoyed it! Great food and well worth a visit! Service is great, Iris, Ivan and the team do a great job!

My wife and I decided to call in for dinner whilst passing through Comber on Sunday evening. We both decided to go for a traditional Sunday roast beef dinner. Portion wise it was big, well worth the money and one of the nicest dinners we've had out. The service was fast and the two staff on were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back in the future.

Every Wednesday a few of us " ladies who lunch " meet up somewhere different , after having a most enjoyable lunch , pleasant staff and a great view overlooking comber square we would definitely be back . Thank you .

I am not one for normally writing these sort of things but the experience i had i believe should be added!On Monday,my wife,mother-in-law and myself had been to Bangor for a bit of morning shopping and decided to call into "McBrides On The Square"that we had heard so many good reports about,for a spot of lunch,on the way home to Ballynahinch.As we arrived,the outside looked great with a traditional feel about it,made our way upstairs to the restaurant,which seemed very poorly lit!We looked around to have a seat but we were not sure as if they place you or you pick your own,as there was no-one around.We walked about the room but could not find a single soul,it was deserted and if you did not know better you would think it was closed!We give it a few more minutes then decided to leave without having the chance to try their "great food" we heard so much about!So disappointed,that we decided to travel homewards and go elsewhere closer to home.We will definitely not be back again as it was a waste of time to be honest,hence the one rating!! After a few disappointing lunches in other restaurants lately we dropped in to McBrides today, somewhere we eat occasionally. Served by Sonia who could not have been nicer or more efficient. I had the Jerk Chicken with rice and I couldn't fault it.Lots of veg, plenty of chicken and just the right amount of spice. The rice was cooked to perfection, light and fluffy. Big portion, enough for two and I'm ashamed to say I polished it off... my husband had the roast beef and his empty plate said it all. Apple pie and custard for himself and fresh fruit salad and ice cream for me also very good. Good value, great service, excellent food. Five stars plus.

Called in on Monday having heard the food is good, friends go to rugby and rave about the burgers only the restaurant was in darkness no staff around they are still open ???

Moved to Comber 13yrs ago and have tried every restaurant within 5miles but we always end up back at McBrides. Great going to a place where the staff know you and treat you like friends. Nothing is too much trouble. Decor typical country, food typical country big portions and very tasty. Have also hired out for 50th bday party, had graduation and 60th wedding anniversary parties there. Couldn't fault the place. If you want 5star treatment go pay 5star prices. Great value for money Read negative review regards an eyelash in food. This can happen anywhere and as one of the only if not the only restaurant in Comber to have a 5star hygiene rating I would not take that review seriously. The fact that you are offered replacement or alternative meal as soon as issue raised and then item removed from bill should be more than enough. Trying to get off paying whole bill is a complete joke then wretching repeatedly when at the till as if trying to make a point is just rude.

I called into mcbrides on sunday with my partner, we were met with a friendly welcome and an earlybird menu which was extensive enough to suit both our tastes! We found our food delicious, our compliments go to the chef and his team for a lovely experience. We will be back!

Me and my Boyfriend randomly picked this bar/restaurant last Sunday. When we went in , you could describe it only as a Care home living area with a few tables. We were approached by a Blonde women and we asked to see menu - menu was ok and as me being vegetarian there was a few choices so we were seated. Another women took our order [there was only 2 other couples in the whole restaurant so maybe that was a sign of things to come] My boyfriend ordered the chicken with veg and garlic potatoes and i had the vegetarian pasta. They took pretty long to bring it out maybe 25min. As i was eating my standard pasta [ Tesco value probably would have been better ] i seen a black hair!!! I was in shock and got waitress over. She was a right moody so and so , she just said do you want anything else?After this happened you would think manager or something would come over - no more did and we headed for the till point. She took my pasta off the bill but included my boyfriends chicken [ that was ok but cause we were starving he ate it ] The garlic potatoes we both didn't touch totally overdone. The waitress tried to argue with me ''we tried to look for hair but seen nothing'' !!!! I POINTED THE HAIR OUT TO THE WAITRESS - SHE NEEDED GLASSES!!!This restaurant was bad on all points - service , atmosphere and food!!! I will NEVER go back here again. The high score of this restaurant shocks me , maybe the two staff have been voting themselves as this place is hell when it comes to restaurants.If you enjoy being called a liar and having black hairs in your dinner attend if not Tesco is over the road.

The usual family outing today. 2 adults and 3 kids - total cost 49 quid. Adult meal prices were reasonable (11 quid for 2 courses). Kid meals were a bit high but the size of each meal was good. Many restaurants are offering kids meals for free these days - if McBrides offers a free kids meal with each adult meal then I'd be there a lot. 50 quid each week for a family lunch is a bit high these days.Price point needs to be sub 40 to increase my custom - even if the portions are large. (Small kids can't eat them anyway).The adult meals were good and the staff were friendly. I'll be back when I see some offers on the horizon.

I'm from Comber but living in Craigavon now, and try to get to Comber as often as I can. I always manage to call into McBrides for a catch up in the nicest pub in town. On Easter Sunday I was down with my fiancée, her two daughters and Lauren's boyfriend. We decided to get a meal together.The girls can be a bit fussy at times with food, but there were no complaints that day and nothing left on the plates!!! Great spot, great service and we wolfed the food into us. Would recommend it to anyone, particularly on a Sunday. Sunday club rocks in McBrides :)

best food in town at affordable prices staff were excellent and very friendly there is a good choice would visit this restaurant again i am a guinness drinker and found it the best in town the bar downstairs was also excellent staff were friendly and a great atmosphere

This has always been popularly. Plenty to see and do. A good choice of what you can buy. Staff very friendly.

yummy food!!!!! great atmosphere all round and nice beer to calm my 2month old down bless her!!! the bar was great craic and gets the kids ready for the "real world" will be back soon!!!!

I recently went to this restaurant with a friend for a Girly catch upAs I had never been and thought it was worth a try there was one waitress on this particular night and when we arrived she proceeded to have a conversation with her friend she eventually seated us at the only dirty table in the whole restaurant which wasn't even set with cutlery and when we sat down she then moved us to another table she clearly didn't want to be there and caused an unpleasant atmosphere! I used the telegraph vouchers which included by one main course get one free so the 2 mealsCame to £13 but I will def notBe back average food and below average service!

We never ever visit Comber, it is the town to be avoided as far as I am concerned but we HAD to go as it was a Birthday party we couldn't miss. I was pleasantly surprised at the food, especially since there were about 30 or so of us. We all really enjoyed our meal and the staff were so helpful. Now it could take a lot for me to venture back to Comber but if I do it will only be to visit McBrides:)

Been here a few times with my partner and we have always loved the food and the service we get is always excellent. Can not fault it in the slightest, Keep it up

was at mcbrides several weeks ago with my family. the food was outstanding, the service was very good and it was good value for money. would defintiely recommend mcbrides to my close family and friends. i would defintiely go back.

Have been many times over several years and have never been disappointed! Food is excellent!! The best place to go in North Down for a proper dinner!!!

got food poisoning at a christening there but the bars nice wouldn't recommend the food!
