Maze Grill Mayfair in City of London, Westminster

When you walk in you get a heavy greasy smell from the kitchen. I started with the Hamachi & Salmon appetizer and it was delicious. Unfortunately I ordered the dry aged 10oz Sirloin Medium Rare for my main course and a side of spinach & Truffle Gratin ( very good). The steak was very thin, unevenly cooked and very difficult to cut through. I did make the manager aware and he offered to order me something else , I declined and he discounted the bill.

The food was exceptional, especially the beef wellington! The waiters were very friendly with good banter, BT the waiter especially made the whole dining experience a lot more enjoyable!

My 16 year old loves all things GR so, this was an easy choice. The food was amazing - short ribs so tender, halibut was delicious. The only downside was the fact that we missed seeing GR in person by a couple hours but our waiter Biti was so great, he took our son back to the kitchen and took a picture of him with the chefs and everyone signed the menu for him to take home. So very nice!

Amazing meal, it was our 25th wedding anniversary, BT our waiter was exceptional, would most definitely go back, the Beef wellington was the BEST. and to crown it all Gordon was in the building and very warmly welcomed us.

The service is really slow, the food is delicious!

We arrived at 7:30pm with friends over from America. We were not informed of a limit on the tables and having only consumed main courses and 2 of us having a dessert, we were brought out the bill without even asking. It was so rude!! Then they charged the entire bill to our guests card without even checking with us as I was just getting mine out of my purse!! I was so annoyed and they said there was nothing they could do.. then to top it off, they actually asked us to finish our drinks and move off the table. I have eaten in Lucky Cat next door before with a polar opposite experience and will NEVER return here. The food was expensive for what it was but was happy to pay for a great experience, this was an awful experience!!

The service was not good and we were rushed, didn’t even get to the dessert so did t enjoy ambience. It felt well below the standard for a Gordon Ramsey brand. Not impressed.

Way overpriced for a bar and grill setting with sports on the TV in the main dining area. Should have went elsewhere for a beef Wellington.

Very noisy with music blasting. We were told that the kitchen was closing at 9:30 when it was actually closing at 11.

Lobster roll was average. I’ve had Luke’s Lobster Rolls in NYC at one third of the price. Cod bites were good. Daughters steak was very.very good service but fine dining it’s not.

Me and my fiancé visited using a dining experience voucher. Overall we had a good experience, the service was flawless and good quality food but overall value is fair. We both agreed if we did not have a voucher we would not visit, the food was no better than a normal steakhouse and I would prefer to be l elsewhere. But overall good experience.

The food was fantastic especially the bone marrow mash and the sticky toffee pudding! But lots of service issues and delays left us feeling a little sour!

Food was fabulous. My husband, son and I were impressed! The environment was high energy, a bit loud, yet we loved it. The service was unfortunately inconsistent, at times rude, and very slow for our liking.

The food was amazing, I had the beef wellington and I’m here to say that it was one of the best I’ve ever had, I highly recommend this place.

Place was crowded, one of the steaks that arrived was overcooked all brown-grey inside whilst we both ordered medium rare. Lobster was overcooked and rubbery. Shame. We never got chips that we ordered. Drink order took over 30 mins to arrive. In fact I’ve got so tired of waiting that have asked for the bill. Service was frankly very sub par. I used to love this branch in Chelsea. I won’t be back again. Too bad.

The food was sublime and the service was amazing. Will definitely be going back there. If ordering the cote de boeuf allow 40 minutes, but worth every penny in my opinion.

A family-friendly drop by, but a 'destination restaurant'. Good menu suggestions and the under 8's eat free policy makes it better value. Would recommend for people with children.

Steak was over cooked and poor quality - Totally over priced.

Ordered Lamb Shank but the flavours was lacking and the portions smaller than previous visit last year. I was still hungry after this but decided against the dessert as the bill was pretty hefty for what I got served.

The steak is of average quality at best. The whole dinner was extremely overpriced. Will not visit again

So sorry to say that our group of 4 was somewhere between underwhelmed and disappointed by our experience. The interior of the restaurant is very old fashioned, even dowdy. Our table was prepared for 3 when there we'd booked for 4, we were placed in the entrance doorway with cold air persistently blowing on us each time anyone came in or out. The staff who took our orders were pleasant but the servers more or less shoved the dishes at us when the meals arrived and sides arrived some time after the main courses. We felt rather rushed and unappreciated. Didn't bother ordering a pudding or coffee as we didn't feel inclined to stay any longer. £250 for 3 starters, 4 mains and a bottle of wine - not insane for London but not a bargain for what was, sadly, poor treatment. The food we all had was delightful but basic. We expected more with the Ramsey name on the door. Our experience at Bread Street was superb and that's why we decided to try Grosvenor Square but it did not live up to its sister restaurant or our expectations of bar/grill with the Gordon Ramsey brand.

Disappointing....thought the steak although well cooked really could have had some form of garnish apart from the jam rather than being plonked on a plate and then having to pay an extra £7.00 for the chips felt like an expensive mediocre experience. The chap serving us was pleasant enough though but no we shan't be sadly returning here in a hurry!

Very friendly! Es war etwas laut mit musik und leider hatten sie Fussballspiel auf dem TV laufen, wäre cooler gewesen seine eigenen sendungen zu sehen. Das essen war ein Traim, besonders der Spinat mit knoblauch Truffel. Man sah auch das die in der küche richtig spass an der arbeit hatten 😊

Between the first and the second plate I sleep.... buffff... very slow... very slow... eternally

I had arrived early (30 minutes) on a rainy night and offered to sit at the bar, but they were nice enough to accomodate us with a table. The service was slow, but we were talking and enjoying the evening. We spent over £400 on dinner and drinks and wanted to order another glass of wine, but they said no because they wanted to turnover the table. I asked could we sit at the bar, and again we were told no. We were only 30 minutes past the time of our original reservation, yet, they were rushing us out of the restaurant. For what we spent on two people, I find it hard to believe they couldn't allow us another 15 minutes for a nightcap. It wasn't our fault we sat for 15 minutes before someone came to take a drink order. Then our salads came and before finishing them, our entrees showed up. They need to figure things out and quickly.

Low service and food changed. We come every year. The burger is dry and bread is stiff.

Service and venue were excellent however food took a long time to come. Starter was good main was turkey and dry the sprouts were partly cooked correctly and partly too raw. Desert was good. It was Christmas Day so may have been extra busy but for price was expecting more

We had dinner on Christmas Eve and enjoyed it a lot. Especially the service team did an outstanding job.

No proper greeting on arrival. Waited ages for table. Food very poor either overcooked or cold, stale bread on snacks. Main dish looked like mass produced fast food. Served 7 out of 8 of us with one person left waiting for food, this happened twice in three courses! Gordon Ramsey would have left in disgust! Definitely not value for £200 a head.

We arrived at the booking time. There was a scramble to find a table for 5. A setting was whipped from another table. The food was average. Vegetables over cooked food lacking taste and presentation. At £165 per head it was a joke. Ramsey definitely trades on his name.

A very disappointing Christmas dinner. It being a GR restaurant we had high expectations, but experienced less than mediocre food and service. I do not recommend.

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite arriving 15 minutes early and seats being available, we were asked to wait. The staff expected us to check back with them for our table, rather than informing us. The service was unfriendly, and even after checking multiple times, we were told our table wasn't ready until our reserved time at 8:30 pm. The food, especially the £130 dry-aged steak, was subpar compared to other places, and the sides were disappointing. We didn't order starters or desserts, but it seems like our experience suffered because of it.

We ordered appetizers and mains and they waited to bring out everything together which is not how a 3 course meal should be served. I asked and they told me how it's done there. Bread is $8 and was hard and cold. I asked to warm then up. They brought me the same ones cold. Steaks were good. Beef wellington ordinary taste. Mac n cheese, mashed and fries were very tasty and perfect temperature. Overall overpriced for the service and quality of the food. The restaurant ambience is very nice. Great for drinks and snacks.

とても美味しくて、楽しい時間でした。ロンドンで初めての食事でした。現地でお仕事をされている方に美味しいステーキのお店を何軒か教えていただき、その中から選んで予約しました。日本からの予約も簡単で便利なアプリですね！予約時間から15分は席をキープしてもらえると書いてあり、15分ギリギリになってしまいましたが、なんとか間に合いました。テーブルを担当してくれた方が明るくフレンドリーな方で、写真もたくさん撮ってもらったり、いい時間でした。色々なお料理をいただき、どれも美味しかったですが、フィオレンティーナのステーキと、ガンバスが特に印象に残りました。おすすめのレストランです。

We went out as two couples. Our wives meals had to be sent back twice because their food was cold. In the end they didn't eat anything after waiting two hours

First time trying a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and definitely wouldn’t go to one again! We ordered the beef wellington for two - it was tough and chewy, no taste whatsoever. Mushrooms tasted burnt inside. When we told the staff we weren’t happy the chef told us that fillet isn’t supposed to have a taste! And it was seasoned perfectly! Very shocked as we enjoy beef wellington and fillet whenever we eat out (which is often!) and we have never found it tough or tasteless anywhere else! Very disappointed as we don’t live in London and travelled up just for this meal. I would recommend to anyone to avoid this restaurant! Clearly the chef doesn’t know how to cook and has too big an ego to admit it!

The food did not warrant the price. Unfortunately my steak was not cooked correctly and the buffalo chicken starter was also undercooked.

Please safe yourself from the most overcooked beef wellington, the green beens were otherwise undercooked, seasoning was absolutely not right, wine selection really bad and it was way too overpriced..

Es entsprach nicht den Ansprüchen die Gordan Ramsay in seiner Sendung verlangt. Das Steak war trotz Medium Bestellung absolut blutig. Die Toiletten was derart dreckig, dass man sich nicht traute einen Fuß in diese zu setzen. Einzug die Bedienung war freundlich zuvorkommend und entschuldigte sich öfters für die Vorkommnisse Insgesamt ziemlich enttäuschend und nicht empfehlenswert

Outer crust was a little overdone on the Beef Wellington. Nice venue \ great service but overall, given quality of the food, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I would recommend with caution if you are price point conscious.

Service and staff are lovely. We received a side dish we didn’t order, we were only discussing it, but staff overheard and brought it. Food is average. Very run of the mill to suit all tastes. Nothing outstanding. Steak was very well done. Sides were just ok. It is very loud and a hectic environment. This is very busy & not quiet. Prices are high for the quality.

From the time we got to the restaurant we we got a lovely reception from the staff 😀. Your food was excellent, it's good to get a good restaurant when in London .and a big thanks you to BT and the Bar man never got he's name thanks for the laugh 😃

Definitely not up to Ramsay's standards. The beef wellington was overcooked, dry and had heavy unnecessary coating of ground mushrooms. The outer pastry was burned and flavorless. Disappointed given that this is a Ramsay restaurant & in London. More than happy to pay the price for quality, this was not it

Great food and excellent service! We had 2 vegans and the food was amazing. The drinks were superb. I would definitely recommend it. The staff and bartenders were the absolute best!!!!

Absolutely lethargic service . If you order something like bread it comes when ur food is over and that too with a reminder Even a simple water bottle we had to ask thrice and no one at floor u need to literally search for them Everyone is talking amongst them

Disappointed for a few reasons. We had a reservation and the table wasn’t ready when we arrived. We were shuffled to the bar which took a long time and received our drinks as our table was ready. The air conditioning didn’t work so the whole restaurant was hot. We had been looking more forward to the beef Wellington and they ran out by 815p. So we had to adjust our order and got a simple filet which was dry. All around a very mediocre experience. We were really looking forward to a Gordon Ramsay experience and feel like it was a low effort to deliver that experience. Our waitress was difficult to speak to from the time we placed our order until it was time to pay because she was attending to a few larger parties and there were just two of us. Maybe our expectations were too high and we “fanboyed” too hard.

Looking forward to the set menu with 5 other friends, and book the reservation through your site. Didn't see the restrictions on time and dates, end up not having the set menu because it was on a Sunday. Did down load the set menu, on the bottom of the menu should list the restrictions of time and dates, since it already have info on service charges, VAT, and other info. Feel like it was a bait and switch, very disappointed. However, our waitress was very friendly and helpful.

It was my birthday and the only “thing” missing was chef Ramsey himself LOL. We had a great time and accomplished the dream to be at one of Ramsey’s restaurants and try the famous Wellington. Waiter BT was great! Thanks.

We were sadly very disappointed in the service overall as we waited to order, waited for food and asked for check multiple times. The vegan burger was amazing but the lobster roll and spinach side was in desperate need of salt, which was such a shock after seeing shows by Gordon.

The braised beef cheeseburger was beautiful. JFC fries were good too!

Please do not order the Ribs or Mac & cheese. The food was such a huge disappointment. The only dish we enjoyed was the Caesar salad with soft-boiled egg. I guess you can only order his famous Beef Wellington, but I honestly don’t know. The service was amazing. It’s unfortunate that they have to serve such terrible food.

Exactly what I would expect from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, everything from the bar service, the waiters, the food and the ambiance was perfect. Shame we missed Gordon as he was there the evening before but never mind 👍🏻

The steak was brought out cold. Not sure how long it sat to rest but Luke warm at best. There was no flavor the steak looked bland no sear what so ever. I ordered an old fashioned which came out in a glass full of-ice after I specified light ice because this restaurant doesn’t have the large block ice cubes! The prawns were over cooked and shriveled .. definitely not what I was expecting. My wife and daughter got the cheeseburgers and they were dried out as well. It seems some sauce was put on top to appear to be juicy but definitely wasn’t. This was a 6 out of 10 at best..

Good portion and good service. The wellington resulted a bit dry maybe because the beef was a little too cooked but all in all a very good experience. Starters were also very good!

I was honestly a bit disappointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. However the food did not seem worth the price. The Wellington was burned on the outside, the mushroom was sooo thick, the steak small and bland. Unfortunately, the inside of the pastry was raw at a few points. I would’ve expected better from a signature dish. The Caesar salad was good. The California roll was good, but expensive and small. The green beans were good. It was nice, but I likely won’t return nor recommend it.

Waited a long time after being seated for drinks. Too loud in the restaurant.
