Fantastic selection of desserts, chocolates, and ice cream. Good coffee, too. Great staff and a friendly welcome. There is no toilet at this location, but the public loo is nearby.

Great for all flavours of ice cream, poo bear my fav, great for families beautiful sundaes. Tea coffee cake scones tray bakes. Good extra seating at the back now. Also great selection of chocolates!

Mauds ice cream is as we all know the best around. Lovely branch in a nice spot. Would be rude not to pop in.

I've been going here since I was a kid. I just took my own kids back for a Pooh Bear ice cream and was stoked to see they have a vegan version now! Lovely staff who were informative about allergens too.

Lovely range of ice creams. They even had the hard to get coconut ice cream. Lots of lovely little cakes and chocolates. This is a very popular place as the queue proves. Worth it!

As always, the ice cream was great. The seating area isn't the biggest but clean and tidy. There is plenty of parking opposite near the park

The best in ice creams. The creme de la creme if you will. It was a sad day when Pooh Bear became Poor Bear, but it is still the bestest flavour imho.

Mauds is the best ice cream around. Its very nostalgic for me as I used to come here as a kid, glad to see it's as amazing as ever.

Very clean and spacious, great selection of ice-cream, bit pricey for what it is. Got my grandson a large tub and it was over £5.

Queue was almost out the door! Tried the chocolate honeycomb ice cream for the first time. Amazing. Had my eye on the desserts on and chocolates too.

Good spot for a coffee in the afternoon. Good parking and easy to reach, good coffee and a few sweet things.

If you love your ice cream this is the place to come. From the classic Pooh Bear to Orange and Belgian chocolate the range is immense .

The go to place everytime I visit home. I have been a Mauds fan from when I was a kid and it was hand made in the back of the video store on Carnmoney Hill. It may be mass produced now but has never lost the taste. And no matter what flavor you really want it has to be Pooh (sorry Poor) Bear for me. Pastries and chocolates are excellent as well.

As a lover of good icecream it's hard to beat a Mauds, with everyone feeling the pinch lately with rising costs even Mauds isn't exempt from this but every once in a while I'll treat myself to a delicious creamy flavoured icecream, especially the banana!

Great variety of ice cream, enough to please all the children with us! Some lovely looking treats to go with tea and coffee. Nice view overlooking the sea and conveniently situated for children's play area.

Called in today with my grandson to take out a few cones. The young man who was serving was excellent very pleasant and patient. Its so nice to see someone so young having great customer service qualities. Even with the mask on you could tell he was smiling.

Refused a 3 year old access to the bathroom. Open for business as usual, sitting in available, yet bathroom closed due to 'covid'. One of the young staff went in the back to ask the management was it ok to use the bathroom as it was almost an emergency. The answer was no. Not even the backbone to come out and tell me face to Face. No social distancing enforced, no sanitisation available or cleaning in between customers using the sitting in areas, yet bathroom unavailable to paying customers due to 'covid' Will not be back. Will be encouraging family and friends not to support this place either. All the prices have been steadily and unjustifiably increasing this last year or so. And the ice-cream isn't cold enough and melts almost immediately. Keep your ice-cream and your bathroom

Delicious doesn't really sum it up. So, so good the flavours of ice cream I purchased were outstanding. Clean, staff very friendly. What a treat to come across this little gem.

We were staying in an apartment next door, so just had to have some ice cream from Mauds. Absolutely delicious and could easily compete with ice cream parlours in places like Germany and Italy. Looking out from the apartment window and the constant flow of customers is testament to how good and popular Mauds is. Great asset to Carrickfergus.

Childhood nostalgia in a shop. The best ice cream in the world. Perfect dairy ice cream. Always a beautiful standard. I no longer live in Northern Ireland, and I can't make a trip back without popping to Mauds. The staff are always incredibly friendly. I hope the residents of Carrickfergus know how lucky they are to have such a little gem on their doorstep.
