Master Chef in Chiltern

The guys really looked after the kids for breakfast, nice kids utensils. My boys are american and ordered the "American breakfast" of pancakes and loved it. Good service and all the food was cooked fresh. I had the breakfast roll in a baguette (nice and soft). Top marks

Always cheerful staff serving great food with a smile. In my view, best coffee in Amersham which is strange given all the dedicated coffee shops here.

It is a new 'local' as we've recently moved to Amersham. The staff are always helpful & polite and the fayre is not for the small-appetite amongst us. The only 2 down-sides to this lovely establishment are that we cannot go inside with our dog and they only take cash payment (no debit cards) so we have to plan in advance to have cash.

A refreshing change of scene after walking out of a nearby restaurant and we was greeted by a friendly waitress who promptly took our order and the service was efficient. the food was hot and tasty and was just what we wanted. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, we’ll definitely pop in again when in the area.

Lovely people. Had liver and onions last time, lovely, Great coffee. Along Amersham High Street. Would recommend.

Well to cut a long story short, I/family recently visited this establishment and well what can I say. Food, service, cleaness and customer service is at a very high standard I would highly recommend this cafe/resturant to visit you will not regret. This will now be my no1 spot to eat from whenever I visit this area again.

On Saturday me and the mrs went for breakfast, from the minute we stepped in we was greeted and seated straight away and was offered a cuppa tea whilst we decided on what we wanted. As i am a fussy eater i kept asking questions and waiter was absolutely fantastic on answering my question and was even giving me alternatives to choose from which made me feel very welcome. Me and mrs both went for the big breakfast and made minor tweaks which wasn't a problem, as i was waiting for the food to come i was observing the restaurant and it was spotless !! When the food arrived it was presented so nice and when i bit into it it tasted even better !!! Anyways at the end of our meal me and the mrs was so happy with the outcome of everything we decide to make Masterchef our regular and definitely will be returning this Saturday cant wait !!! We had been to this restaurant before and enjoyed a well cooked breakfast and attentive staff. This time we had a less pleasant experience for lunch, We were served quickly at first and the main course was fine. But despite it not being busy, we were unable to order dessert, All the staff were doing their best to ignore us , making it impossible to order. It made us feel unwelcome and after 15 minutes we gave up and left. No one asked whether we enjoyed our meal. We are a quiet, polite mother and adult son, so don't understand why we were treated like this. The score is for the food,,,,,

We waited 45 mins for our food despite asking several times what was going on and then we noticed people were actually coming in after us and leaving, having been served and eaten before we had received our food. Their secret? Clearly they knew the staff and owners. I feel we were taken the pee out of and that’s not nice!

Popped in for breakfast, good selection and well cooked. Would recommend a visit. Bit like a cafeteria set up but the food was worthwhile.

Great menu so much to choose from from breakfast to dinner choices. Pricing is very reasonable and fully staffed so service really quick. Food portions are very good also

This is a reasonably priced cafe where you get good solid food served with no air and graces. The staff are terrific and always helpful. Coffee best in Amersham!

Insane value for money. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Great coffee. Eggs Royale salmon was fresh. Poached egg just a smidge underdone but that's picky. Clean and unpretentious. No glitz and glamour.. Just good honest quality food and great value for money. Cash only!!

Good Value food that is well prepared and promptly served. Glad they did not bat an eyelid when I had dessert first. The Master Chef special crepe came with two pancakes, cream, ice cream, and chocolate sprinkles. Followed it with baked beans and tomatoes on toast.

Me and my wife stopped off for a bite to eat at lunchtime. We found the food and service to be of a every good standard and will return in the future.

We felt a bit peckish, and initially plumped for a well known coffee chain for a latte, (I know, a Philistine drinking latte after 11am ) but felt that, at almost a fiver for a bit of cake the shop should be renamed Dick Turpin’s.

If you want a good choice of food master chef is perfect. Food is cooked to order while you wait unlike fast food joints.

They offer what the old fashion Wimpy would and a lot more, Big portions and great quality fry up if you like that

Unbranded, this is the best coffee in town in my opinion. Drink your in or take out. They also do a wonderful bacon and mushroom sarnie - in white naturally, with brown sauce on the side!

Mi pareja y yo vinimos por brunch el domingo y nos quedamos encantados de encontrar una cafetería que vende desayuno completo tan cerca de nuestro apartamento. Servicio rápido, la comida sabrosa, y una gran selección de opciones para el desayuno y el almuerzo/cena en el menú. Me encanta el estilo de la iner interior y las fotografías históricas de Amersham en las paredes. La única parte decepcionante de mi comida estaba mi tostada estaba un poco pasada, pero en ese momento yo estaba tan lleno que apenas me molestó.

Great cafe for a full english, lots of choices to choose from with good portion sizes. Clean cafe with good service and reasonable prices. Try the Oreo milkshake :)

He estado en Master Chef tantas veces y no merecen una calificación de 5 estrellas por mucho, sin duda, de acuerdo con el comentario anterior. El personal es muy acogedor y siempre te saludan con una sonrisa seguida por una deliciosa comida que es de primera calidad con grandes porciones y tengo que decir que el café es mejor que la mayoría. Wouldn't normally review a cafe but believe after our experience today I should.Fancied a cafe breakfast, so made our way to Masterchef. Decided on the veggie breakfast minus the eggs. Eggs replaced by extra fatty hash browns and more chopped mushrooms. Veggie sausages were the 2p sweetcorn pea mush version. Again fried within an inch of their lives.Toast was charged extra not nice bread spread with a cheap margarine (plastic). My partners breakfast includes a sausage not fit for a dog. Why can't they buy decent ingredients? They are a busy cafe and the people of AmershamDeserve better. Time to up your game or reduce your prices.£18 for two is a joke. Would never go there again you get better in Wenzels.

There is no shortage of cafes opening in Amersham and one would imagine this little old-fashioned traditional cafe would run out of business being surrounded by lots modern ones. I chose to go to Master Chef last week, resisting the temptation of going to a new modern one close by. I was REALLY pleased with my full English breakfast and the delightfully friendly members of staff.

Good value - average spend 7 pounds per person. I took my family for lunch here after an absence of several months. Good portion and fast service even though I ordered my veggie breakfast after a gap of 5mins , all our order came together. A good variety of food and drinks choices. The only downside the spaces between. The tables are quite tight and cash only. I would go again as there some good menu choices.

I go most days, whether it's just a drink or for a meal and the staff are always friendly and very welcoming. They would do anything to make your day better. The food is amazing and my kids are always happy to go. I recommend it to everyone.

We recently visited as a family for lunch and we must say the service was great, staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. The menu has a lot of options from traditional fry up to Italian panini. My wife had a goat cheese and caramelised onion panini and she loved it. Kids loved the Oreo milkshake. We will be back and highly recommend this cafe

Offers a variety of food to cater for everyone, Great presentation, food is always hot and great prices too, the staff are so friendly and its a great atmosphere to be in. The food is simply delicious, simply the best place to go for an everyday (mixed grill in my case) fryup.The place is clean, the staff friendly. On hand if required, yet out of the way if not...PERfect.

We took the kids to Amersham for dinner and for want of something quick and easy ended up in Master Chef. Kids food was good, big portions. Adult portions were a fair size too. The burger was tasty, the omelette and chips on the other hand weren't so great. Omelette was overcooked and rubbery and tasted of very little, and not particularly hot. Chips were soggy. Odd these days but they only take cash payments..... This we discovered after we had eaten, so someone had to nip out to the cash point - luckily there was one close by.

Fantastic food and service as usual. Classic MasterChef since 2004. One of the main character in Amersham we always enjoy going there with all family.

Today 9th Feb at 2.30 pm i called master chef to order omelette with chips and tomato. The owner told me to pick up coz they cannot deliver. I sent my friend to pick up the omelette. When she came back i opened it. The omelette was burnt and there is no chips and tomato they put bake beans. Im alergic to bake beans and i cant eat it. I came to master chef to leave it back. I did not get my money back.

Myself and three friends had popped in one afternoon for a full English and a cup of tea. The kind of thing most people do when they are going to master chef. After seating ourselves, a waiter came over to take our order, which I thought could have been vastly improved if he looked like he cared , or if he had smiled. The staff looked bored as we waited for our food and when the tea was served, it was In a cup, with teabag and spoon in cup, as well as the milk had been poured for us. Now I'm not one to moan usually, however this is a poor way to serve the nations favourite. The all day breakfast was the plus size, even if they did get my order wrong at first. Good food, but needs a bit more effort from the staff. Hope to return soon.

I am regularly visiting this place for a lunch with my family and we always enjoy it.Every time we visited it was very clean, family friendly and fast service and lots of options to eat. Highly recommended...

Best cafe in Amersham very happy staff and great service. Loved it. We went as a family and the kids enjoyed it. The food is really nice and staff are always happy. I have been to many cafes around amersham and this one is number one for me.

Have been a regular visitor for some years but only for breakfast. Good selection of meals including breakfasts, lunches, salads and of course the great British burger. Always clean and tidy with friendly, attentive staff. Sensible prices but they only accept cash.

Visited on my lunch and was made to feel very welcome by the lovely Waitress. I asked if I could pay card and was told cash only, but rather than ignore me I was sat down, invited to order first and could then get cash while I waited for my food which was a nice touch.Food was good solid greasy spoon cafe food. It's not gourmet but I didn't expect it to be and was very good value for money.Would recommend and visit again. Just take cash.

This Cafe serves a range of mainly British Cafe food and in the old days we would have called it the 'Greasy spoon' meant in the good way!! Staff always pleasant and friendly and food always quick and freshly prepared. Also their coffee is better than the other chains in the high street in my opinion and less expensive.
