Masala Twist City Centre in Glasgow City

Love this place. So hard to find good food in the city centre but this place is always top notch. Our waiter Tanishq was super friendly and provided fantastic service

Top class restaurant serving Indian food staff are very helpful as is the manager. We visit regularly and are never disappointed. Highly recommend Lamb Bhoona with Nan bread and saffron rice .

Had the set lunch deal, great value for money. The coconut and lentil soup was delicious, followed by rice and chicken traditional curry. Pleasant staff and nice decor.

Had our regular trip to Glasgow and went to Masala Twist for lunch,had karahi buna it was great, the service from all the staff was really good as usual thanks to Tanishq who explained all the vegetarian options on the menu,

This is a very friendly restaurant with very friendly and obliging staff. The menu was good and had many vegetarian options. It has a nice clean environment with good seating and the cooking area is visible (always a good sign).  They have a full bar with Kingfisher on tap to quench your thirst. I enjoyed it so much I went twice in a row whilst staying in Glasgow.

Stopped off on way to theatre and was pleasantly surprised. Staff very professional and attentive . Food very tasty and excellent portion sizes.

An absolute gem of a find! We had a selection of the Indian starters and mains to share and it was all delicious! Very fresh and tasty. Can't recommend it enough. Our server Puneet was very friendly and accommodating…Definitely coming back ..

Every year is a great time in here

First time experiencing this restaurant with my family and the food was amazing! Starters,Mains and desserts all delicious, soo much choice as well and very reasonable portion sizes. The staff were all soo lovely and welcoming especially our waitress Jyoti. They made sure everything was perfect for us 😊 Can’t wait to go back with the family!

I visited here on a Sunday lunchtime a few weeks ago and can't speak highly enough of the place. I had 3 different vegetarian street dishes, a Peshwari Naan and a Masala chai tea. The food and service was impeccable. The 2 young gentlemen waiting tables were a credit to the business, can't speak highly enough of them. I left a 20 percent tip as my thanks :) All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. I highly recommend the food here as one of the best I have tried over my many visits to different Indian food establishments. I will now look forward to visiting here anytime I am passing through Glasgow ❤️ The restaurant itself was a bit dated. But had a nice old India vibe with colourful atmosphere and Indian newspapers plastered over the toilet walls. Cleanliness was of a high standard during my visit and my only disappointment was at the choice of music as I prefer more contemporary Indian music. Overall a great, welcoming visit with amazing food and service at reasonable prices and I walked away with a wonderful experience and a great memory. I highly recommend this as a great lunchtime or afternoon visit for any Indian food lovers who are in Glasgow. Looking forward to my next visit 😁

We visited this establishment one night ago as part of a tour group, visiting Scotland from Birmingham. We went in because we were told it was Halal. Frstly, the upstairs dining room had all sorts of pictures and statue type things on the walls which, when eating and facing when theres some sort of string music in the background, feels weird. Secondly, the food leaves much to be desired. Being of asian heritage, this was nowhere near spicy or flavoursome whatsoever. It was bland all the way. Salad was on a plate on the main table and consisted of onions and chilli n cucumbers. Nothing tasty at all, apart from the nan which was very flat. Staff were very attentive. Lol.

Staff friendly . Hygiene a bit questionable! Plates not that clean. Staff handled EVERY utensil at the end going into your mouth! This is basic stuff ! Toilets - WHO thought it was a good (cheap?) idea to paper toilet walls with newspapers? Soggy walls round toilet and urinals NOT a great look. Food - chicken, and veg pakora starters ok but not exceptional 5/10. Fish pakora good 9/10 Main courses YUK! Sloppy and consensus was not a great taste for any of us . 2 Chicken and 2 lamb only 2/10.

Very welcoming and friendly as soon as you step through the door. Khush was our waiter and he was very attentive throughout the meal, which was lovely. Food was delicious! I got the South Indian Garlic Chicken as something different to my usual Tikka Masala and I'm glad I did. Was very tasty, and spicy too but not unbearably spicy as I finished my plate, but if you struggle with spice I'd suggest a different dish. Overall it was a great restaurant with plenty of choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! I didn't take a picture of the meal as I forgot but a picture wouldn't do the meal justice for the taste anyway.

We were seated quickly and looked after all night by Khushwant who gave knowledgeable recommendations and was happy to customise my meal to add more spice. The food was full of flavour, there is a great selection of vegetarian and the vibe was authentic and welcoming.

Popped in here for dinner after going to the cinema. Friendly staff, really tasty food, generous portions. We rang the bell for a good experience as we left

Third visit, so far every time has been pre-theatre, excellent food, service and atmosphere. Never had a car, so no parking problem for me.

Food and service both excellent. I had the south Indian garlic chilli chicken which was delicious. However the menu promised it came "with lashings of wicked green chilles", unfortunately there were none to be seen. No problem though as I asked the waitress and she brought me a bowl of fresh chillies which I enjoyed very much. My wife had the butter chicken which got another thumbs up. The nan bread is wonderfully light.

Good Food. Good Service. Staff is Friendly & Courteous. Good Atmosphere. Resonable Priced being City Centre Location. More Fresh Air/Ventilation may help though to avoid curry smell settling into clothes. Sitting arrangement is good. Voluntarily Didn't charge for the item which wasn't upto the mark. Authentic Indian Food. You can feel they are here for some serious business.

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE INDIAN FOOD. I LOVED IT. Me and my bestfriend ordered dum biriyani, chass, paani puri and ice cream human jamun and EVERYTHING was SO TASTYYY!!!! Great food, great staff. One of the best around. Only issue is you come out smelling of a balti dish. Had to dry clean my Toupee after.

On warm recommendation, we popped into Masala Twist for a Friday treat, and enjoyed an authentic and reasonably priced meal. Despite no labelled vegan options, the staff were very helpful in guiding towards the plentiful vegan options. Through their lunch deal, I enjoyed a Jaipuri Samosa for starter, and a vegetable Bhoona curry, with pilau rice and garlic and coriander naan to share. It was all brilliant. A hearty, authentic vegan Indian meal.

Doesn't look much from the outside but we liked the varied menu so gave it a go - so pleased we did. Inside it's quite cute, I think they are going for the Dhaba feel with the bare wood tables. Choley Bathura, Dal Makhani were amazing. Veg Manchurian also good. Service was polite. Loved the Indian background music. Will return.

The menu offers a good number of dishes that are different from the usual madras, jalfrezi and korma you find in every Asian restaurant. Joyti was lovely and polite, really good in her job role, knew the menu very well and was able to recommend dishes and to give advice based on things we said we had tried before and liked. Highly recommend this place. If I ever visit Glasgow again, this will be my first choice for food.

The best place to get Indian food at reasonable prices. All staff members are very attentive. A big shout for Jyoti and Puneet who make our day a memorable experience in the restaurant.

I loved the atmosphere and the service provided. The staff are definitely doing their job right but the food was really not good, I ordered chole bhature and it was too disappointing. The pav bhaji was okayish but masala tea was also not up to the mark.

If you’re Asian and grew up eating Asian food, AVOID THIS PLACE, foods tasteless no flavour at all, made for Scottish people so they’ve toned everything down like usual with places in city centre . They told me they weren’t goin to charge me for starters then tried to charge me at the end. Bland tasteless food. The staff were nice , only good thing

Ein wirklich tolles Essen, großzügige Portionen. Das klassische Nan ist richtig lecker, ebenso wie z.B. Malai Kofta oder das vegetarische Subz Miloni. Achtung, nicht alle Gerichte, die für europäischen Standardgeschmack schon etwas schärfer sind haben eine Kennzeichnung mit einer Chili. Wer empfindlich ist, fragt besser bei dem sehr freundlichen Personal nach. Absolute Empfehlung.

*Edited to add that food did finally arrive around an hour after it had left the restaurant and had to be put in the oven as it was cold. Mixed pakora and mixed grill were fairly dry once reheated and not very nice to eat. Garlic naan bread was already burnt on arrival and didn’t appear to taste of garlic in any way. Also paid extra for bhuna sauce with mixed grill but just got a standard vegetable one. All in all a disappointing experience. Our first time trying here and we won’t be back unfortunately. Plenty of other good Indian restaurants around Glasgow. Cannot comment on the food as it has not yet been delivered despite delivery driver being out with the order for nearly 45 mins.I’m sure if/when it arrives it will be cold, soggy and inedible! Called restaurant for update and they were very unhelpful and blunt even verging on rude - blaming UberEATS instead. I have never used this restaurant before but I will not be using again with customer service like this. It was a £50 order. Poor poor show.

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and had an amazing experience. The food was incredibly authentic, reminding me of the best Indian flavors. It felt like I had good Indian food after a long time. The ambience was pleasant, setting the perfect mood for the meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. What's more, the prices offered great value for the quality of the dishes. The variety of vegetarian options was impressive, and each dish I tried was brilliant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying Indian dining experience.

Would have been 5 stars, but one off for cleanliness. Table was sticky, as were the floors in the toilets. However, all the food and the service were top notch.

We tried vadapav, pav bhaji and samosa chaat. The food was delicious and the portion size was great too. Loved the service and hospitality. Also, my wife tried manga lassi, and I tried Masala Chai. Really good. A great overall experience.
