Marzano Italian Grill in York

Best pasta I've ever had. Got the Linguine Pomodoro (vegan version) and wasn't expecting much but it was so tasty and rich in flavour I savoured every single bite! Venue was clean and really cosy. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

The food was amazing and service was great, right from when I called to make inquiries to the actual in-restaurant sevices. I am not one to visit restaurants much but I'll definitely be revisiting soon.

Omg this place is amazing! Very quick and friendly service. Can't remember the name of the pasta dish but it has prawns in and omg it is to die for!! Absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely visit again.

A very disappointing dining experience for me and my partner tonight , all my own three courses were cold , the Brie to start was cold in the middle followed by my pizza being bland and luke warm to my chocolate pudding that I got asked if I would like warm to being cold again. The atmosphere was very busy and overcrowding , we felt our meal was rushed and like a production line of getting customers in and out with a quick turn over . Our meal was a hour duration for three courses each and felt very rushed no relaxing time in between each course. We got asked three times our order when still obviously browsing the menu and felt very rushed to say we had only just been seated at the start. Unfortunately we will not be returning as disappointing as that is our expectations for the restaurant and after reading good reviews we were sadly let down , I feel the food is not authentic Italian and very average.

If ever you're looking for a place to eat dinner in York this is it The food is amazing, the portions enormous,the staff are fabulous and the prices are not going to break your bank

We had the set menu, bread and olives while we perused the menu, both really good! Set menu, I had mushrooms then prawn linguine, both tasted amazing! Great wine recommendation from Jake & not the most expensive bottle on the menu.. fab service and reasonable price. Pizzas looked amazing, will definitely try next time.

Traveled from out of town and the food and service here was AMAZING! The staff was very kind and helpful when ordering. Jake was accommodating with our party and made our experience fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Food was good but 50mins after arriving we were rushed out. So 3 of use were given mess than hour for a 2 course meal. We had booked for restaurant and server was ridiculously pedantic about seeing voucher even though they then didn’t take note of the number.

Calzone / Arracini / Ravioli. Wife loved the ravioli as normally she hates mushrooms. The calzone was full of meat and cheese with perfect crust. For us as frequent italian restuarant goers, this has been the best so far. Service was very attentive. My only gripe was knowledge on Real Ale. The Black Sheep is golden ale not dark ale as advised. We parked outside the shambles multi story car park. There is a side street as you approach which is pay and display or free with blue badge. Blue badge have to pay in Q Park.

A superb meal at Marzano Italian Restaurant, the starters, mains, and desert were great, the service was brilliant, with Jake really looking after us. A wonderful ambience, and will definitely be returning.

The Italian food and culture is always my favourite and marzano restaurant has one the best combination of Italian food and culture. If you visit in York I highly recommend everyone to experience Marzano Italian Grill.

A beautiful little restaurant. I think you’d be hard pushed to find a nicer Italian anywhere near by. The staff were wonderful; very welcoming and attentive. A vibrent atmosphere to go with our evening meal and drinks. Beautifully presented, delicious food. We both had pasta, but everything coming out the kitchen looked amazing. A wide selection of tasty wines and beers to go with our meal just about made it perfect. To top it off… Affogato! One of my favourite desserts, as my ever increasing waistline will testify to. If you fancy Italian, I’d recommend Marzano in a heartbeat (but be sure you book in advance… they’re pretty busy). Enjoy!

Just found this delightful independent restaurant in York. The atmosphere was really nice. The food, absolutely delicious. Between us we had Calamari.... cooked to perfection, baked brie, prosciutto pizza and Rigatoni meatballs. All amazing. Well done! We will return.

As we were hungry in York we thought we would visit an Italian restaurant. We have been to Italy and tried Italian food straight from Italy, but I unfortunately have to say the food and service was a bit disappointing. The pizza, had little sauce and cheese but had an overwhelming amount of spinach. None of the food amazed us. This review is still 3 stars because one thing that did impress us with the service was that they remembered we were vegetarian and did not offer us parmesan cheese (as it is not vegetarian/vegan). The prices for pudding were honestly too much gelato (which tasted like normal ice cream was £6!!!) Nothing impressed us but nothing was wrong with the food or service. Good mention to the funny server though! I don't know why our experience is worse than the other reviews.
