Such a cute little shop. It was too cold for ice cream so we got hot chocolate. Very nice, I should have bought some of the bars of 🍫 chocolate

Travelled from Newcastle for the reopening as advertised on the website February 18th To the shutter down and shrug of shoulders from member of staff without the common courtesy to say why I’ve been unwell and just had total craving the last couples of months for Mary milk bar hazelnut Why not update your social media?? Unfortunately because the product is good customers service can be nothing short of appalling!

Hot chocolate float is 100% worth it. Hot chocolate is thick and the ice cream balances it nicely. Would recommend!!!!!

I had a rose and rhubarb ice cream scoop which was delicious. I wish I could have tried all of the flavours! They change the flavours frequently which is a wonderful idea.

Heard good things about this gelato place so I decided that to make my trip worthwhile, I would skip lunch and get 3 scoops of gelato instead. I got the milk, pistachio and pumpkin+cherry flavours.

I saw this ice cream place on so many peoples blogs & them telling you to visit if your in Edinburgh & I can 100% agree that they are correct. The flavours change daily so I highly recommended checking there Instagram so you know what they are offering that day. When you arrive the queue looks really long but it goes down quickly as they only allow around 4 people in the shop at once so it doesn't get too crowded.

I stopped someone on the street eating ice cream, he directed me to Mary's Milk bar, said to look for the line, we made our way down and got in line. Its worth standing in line to get inside. Its locally made, and they also have the best made in the kitchen chocolate bars you will ever experience! And you can enjoy the views of the Castle while you wait. Beautiful find.

We stopped by Mary’s Milk Bar based on good reviews and they were right! First, the gelato is delicious! They have unique flavors like Salted Caramel, Fresh Mint Cream or Raspberry Elderberry Sorbet, which is vegan, but also traditional flavors like Chocolate. The staff is polite and helpful and permit samples, if requested. While there is no seating inside, there is plenty of outdoor seating across the street, where you can enjoy spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle. One small tip: get there at least 15 minutes prior to closing, as they do close the line!

Came here with the family as the young ones like ice cream. There was a bit of queue to get served but it was sure worth it the ice cream was very good as well as their milkshakes

I had to queue in the heat after dinner for this ice cream. It was worth everything. The flavours were so unique and not a single one sounded boring like places that do just standard chocolate or cookie dough. Highly recommend!

Yes! It was the end of the day and we had nothing left to do. Not sure why the queue moves so slowly. The menu is in the window, so we knew what we wanted to order.
