Visited cafe just past lunch time Saturday expecting to be busy but walked straight in, ordered toasted tea cakes and coffee for two. Young chap on coffee duty obviously needed some additional training, ordered lattes which tasted slightly bitter and nothing like a MS coffee we have frequently other branches. should have returned them but time was more of an issue. Tables were spaced but overall a very disappointing visit.

Visit to grocery store but needed quick cuppa first. Settled for a Coffee and a cheese scone. Service quick and pleasant, was early so were free tables and all clean and tidy. Solo visit to day, ideal for lunch but can get busier, all usual food on offer, enjoyed the quiet today. Grocery store was well stocked and got everything required. Bliss of early shop.

Really m and s should teach staff how to cook before they put dishes on their menu. I received eggs that could have bounced to the centre of Belfast.

M and S restaurants are normally a decent stop for a quick lunchtime snack. However, on arrival (at lunchtime) all 3 soups on the menu were scratched and no baked potatoes were available. Unusual given that they use generally use soups available in the Food Hall as part of their stock.... Ended up with toasted sandwiches instead which were fine .

The ladies in here are brilliant - REALLY helpful. The counter staff are friendly and also make helpful suggestions to those who can't decide what to order. They are really accommodating and cheerful. A regular for my friends and sister who use the local gym and enjoy lunch in the cafe afterwards. I visit when I am in town. Highly recommend.

We both got baked potatoes and they were really tasty - maybe a bit small for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the place needs a good clean.

When I visited on a Sunday afternoon the cafe wasn't full but the tables were messy with used plates and cups. It's cramped and difficult to move around, especially with a bag of groceries and a tray with tea. Standard M&S cafe fayre. Prepacked sandwiches and microwavable paninis. Food OK, for what it is. When I'm not being lazy I would much rather go down the road a bit to Harvey Norman where the cafe is 10x better.

Stopped here for a coffee (me) and hot chocolate for my son on 11 - he said it was one of the best he has ever tasted! Lovely helpful staff, clean surroundings and relaxed atmosphere

I have only had a snack a few times here and coffee other times. It is a very busy café, staff are polite and great service. I have only given it four as the prices are a little steep, and no real atmosphere. But if you only stopping for a snack it great.

Visited this Cafe after shopping in the boucher road. Coffee was good and scones were very fresh. However the small side plates used to put the scones on were all wet as if they hadnt been dried properly or hadnt been dried at all. I failed to find one dry plate. Also the cutlery was not polished and water marks were extremely visible on the cutlery making them look unclean. Counter near the tills was covered in milk and crumbs. Staff were ok. But need to be trained more on hygiene as one was seen putting bare hands into a bag of marshmallows and topping them onto someones hot chocolate.

We dropped in to grab a quick lunch while on the go. The menu is too focused on fast food options-heavy on the carbohydrates which is not what we would normally eat.

Well the service was slow, however there Seemed to be quite a few staff behind the counter, on the plus side the tables were cleared quickly and the food arrived timely and piping hot, they gave me a dairy free bread replacement which was ok, to be fair I am yet to find a bread I like ! The cafe was handy, clean but very little in added Service! I did think the prices were a little on the high side, we decided on soup @ £3.50 which we were told was on sale, which it was at a much lower price which made me feel a little disappointed for just warming it up! 50p should come off the price

A couple of Marks sandwiches, coffee and tea proved adequate for a quick lunch snack. A bit disorganised and cramped behind the counter but staff managed to provide acceptable service and remain pleasant.

was taken here by a regular to get a view on a different aspect of Belfast, dreadful is the only word to describe it felt a very strong antiwestern and racist vibe from the clientele. was made to feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome and as a visitor to this city was quite frankly disgusted. avoid at all costs

I will not be back. I have said this several time before but today was the last straw unless I hear of good reviews. Lunch time today 12.45. One very pleasant young chap on his own behind the counter doing his best but could have done with help. Tables all over the place full of dishes and unclean floor. Also, scones very hard as I have experienced previously before, breaking up into crumbs when trying to cut them open prior to butter them with plastic knives. Management needs to take a serious look at these issues and more as I think that the whole food counter needs to be reviewed to make it more attractive and hygienic looking for customers. Bangor disappointed Visitor.
