Do Not Use this place for a meal if you are vegetarian. I ordered food for myself and my wife and while I sat to waited, I read the menu and only at that point did I notice that it said all food is cooked in beef dripping. I went to the counter to ask to which the reply was yes so I explained we were vegetarian and at that point the attitude changed as the pointed out a tiny message next to the till saying this. There should be a bigger sign in the window saying, not suitable to vegetarians! Very poor, although a refund was given!

Sadly this place has dropped of my 'must visit' list when Im at the coast. The food is poor quality. The choice even worse.

Nice fish but prices are inflated to the point of being extortionate. Nearly £13 for a small portion of takeaway fish and chips is excessive even given inflation. £1.60 for a pot of curry sauce about the third the size of normal chippies also snacks of profiteering.

I've worked in hospitality for 25+ years and as soon as I walked in with 7 other members of my family, I instantly felt like leaving. The atmosphere was terrible, I felt like we were being constantly watched. Service was cold and non existent, helping ourselves to cutlery, £1.05 for tartar sauce? Really? The fish was nice but that was it unfortunately. There is much more I can say, but I think as they have passing trade they don't really care, it could be a really great place, big shame.

Absolutely shocking £26 for 2 fish and chips can totally understand we all need to make money but that is absolutely shocking ripping people off definitely won't be returning

Don't bother going. It's gone down hill. The food is tasteless and the service was mot very friendly. It's a great shame, because I've been going there for years. And also sadly, I know that this review won't get posted.

£45 for 4 chips and 4 sausages , and four mini pots of gravy . And two drinks of Coke ! Wouldn’t mind if you got the volume of food matching the price . The smallest amount of chips and a dash of gravy absolute rip off of a place won’t go there again

We're regular customers at this restaurant and have been so for many years. The fish and chips are the best for miles around. The quality and excellence of service has always been consistently high. The prices reasonable and the atmosphere pleasant. We highly recommend The Marina as a family. It's our favourite place to go regularly in all of Pembrokeshire. I'd like to thank all the staff and management for your wonderful service. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Stopped by on a cold Monday evening and had a delicious meal. One cod and sausage and chips with quite big portions. Especially the cod so might recommend going smaller for the cod bites in future. Overlooking the harbour. Very lovely.

We drove to Tenby harbour and my wife spotted this restaurant so after walking about the town we ended up here we ordered two cod one portion of chips and for me a portion of mushy peas it was good especially the chips which were cooked in real dripping ,the only whinge was a steep set of stairs that led down to the toilets

The chips were raw and the fish was very small for the amount of money we paid. Wouldn't go there again.

Visited the marina fish & chip shop on saundersfoot harbour with friends on 28th October can honestly say the fish and chips and curry sauce were amazing. Very happy customer from Birmingham

Delicious, great portions and lovely location

Needed cheering up this evening after work on an extremely wet weather day. Shammi cooked the most delicious and perfect crispy cod and chips with a side of beans. Big shout out to all the friendly, hardworking staff on duty this evening including Dana and her hubby. Always a friendly welcome from all the lovely staff who work here.

Food lovely but very limited choice

The worst chippy I have ever eaten in. The fish was absolutely tasteless, chips completely bland & dry. Even my children age 6 & 8 said it was horrible and struggled to eat it. Tiny portion sizes on the chips . Completely over priced and will never return. Wish I had of read reviews before I came! Only nice thing was the Pepsi because it was made by Pepsi! Lady was polite and friendly £56 for 2 small children and 3 adults. One Childs shared an adults meal !

We have had fish and chips from here many times. We have drooled about having them. We normally have to queue but don't mind because we know they are freshly done and so piping hot. Not today they were sat waiting for us. Very disappointed

Had the take away option of cod and chips. A bit pricey at £12.75 but then where isn’t these days! The service was quick despite it being fairly busy. Lovely white fish and the batter was crispy. The chips were an improvement on the last time I had them. Everything was nice and hot.

I think £12.75 for take away fish and chips is extortionate. I think they charge the same to eat in. Worst cod I've ever tasted. Bland. On the plus side good portion served piping hot. But would not recommend the tasteless cod.

Paid £41.00 for 3 cod & chips & 1 sausage , the batter was very watery & soggy the chips very greasy , Overall the meal very disappointing .

Went to get some chips to go with steaks we were cooking in our little holiday flat. When I got them back they were very over cooked all wrinkled and not very warm. We were only a stone throw from the restaurant so it wasn’t like they had time to get cold. Disappointing not cheap but my husband said the curry sauce was very good.

Not impressed with the quality of the food. We arrived just after opening time at midday. We ordered at the counter and instantly our 3 cod and chips arrived. The food definitely did not taste freshly cooked, the fish and batter were very dry and also the chips tasted as if they had been reheated.

Very poor selection available, just cod, speedy service but very expensive for whatbyou get, there didn't seem to be any care about the fodd or the customer really. Such a shame for such a prime location, they do well with tourists but dont seem interested in repeat business.

We did the mistake of visiting at 12 on opening time and were dished up reheated chips from the day before! This wasn’t realised until we noticed fresh chips being dished on adjacent table 20 minutes later. Old chips were grim. Very disappointing!

Disappointing….. Was expecting the classic ‘by the sea ‘ chip shop experience. Poor chips ( tasted like they had been standing a while ) and 2 slightly pale looking soggy cod fillets. First time we have had a drink out of a child’s carton for a long time. Staff were ok so can’t fault them… just the food.

Decided to have at least one fish and chip meal while visiting the sea side in Saundersfoot. What a treat, the staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful with our menu choices. We all three had fish and chips with curry sauce, mushy peas, a cup of tea and a Pepsi. The batter was a thin beer battered cod cooked to perfection, not soggy or too thick to hold the oil. The chips were cooked in a lighter colour to what I was used to but they were cooked lovely and tasted so nice. Portion sizes were good being too much for mum but enough for the wife and I, leaving us full Definitely worth a visit….we will return

Great fish and chips and our four meals arrived literally within three minutes.

Staff are pleasant,it is very busy there,did not have to wait for long ,we had cod and chips for £12.50,the fish was lovely too big for me,the chips was a bit dry but overall we enjoyed the meal.

Been here a couple of times when visiting Saundersfoot. Always busy but with good service. Staff are lovely, food is great and you can either dine in or takeaway.

Really pleased with our Fish and Chips. A huge piece of Cod, fresh crisp batter and decent chips. Much better than the ‘famous’ Whitby Fish and Chips we had the week before.

The queue for this restaurant/take away were long so we thought it would be great. To be honest we were disappointed. Whilst we were served quickly the chips were underdone and the fish greasy and tasteless. Very disappointing considering it was nearly £30 for two. Toilets also in a horrible position and difficult to navigate the steep stairs.

Thought this place would be better than our usual choice, wrong. £37 for 4 meals and 4 drinks 3 of which were children's meals. Service is shocking, get your own cutlery and napkins. Plates come out quick, no finesse. £5.95 for kids fish chunk, which is half a standard fillet. 12.75 for adult fish, Chips were Luke warm. The half dozen or so that you do get. This was around 430pm on a Thursday. Not busy. Barely a scoop on each plate. Very disappointed. The fish was fresh batter crisp. Tables clean. But portion not acceptable for the price.

Took two payments off me for a plate of overcooked sausage and chips and a Pepsi. Paid at the till and then the server came over to the table and said the payment didn't go through and asked me to pay again. Checked my statement and they had taken two payments out of my account. Tried contacting them but no response. Thought £8.75 was quite expensive for sausage and chips...didn't want to pay it twice!

After walking out of the Argosy (reviewed separately) I crossed over to get our take-away fish and chips from here. The young man at the till was very patient as my wife asked a thousand questions about portion sizes bit we got there in the end. He was great. Service was pretty quick and the place looked clean and well maintained. The fish and chips were decent, nothing to write home about but freshly and well cooked. Batter was a little thick for my liking but that subjective. The young lady at the collections was a little less customer service driven - didn't offer a bag for an order of 4 meals and when I asked just shoved a bag over the counter and walked away.

Excellent food & great service.

Delicious fish and chips, portions a reasonable size. The only downside I would say is that it was quite expensive. £40 for 2 X adult fish and chips, 1 x kids fish and chips and two fantas and one fruit shoot.

Not even worthy of the 1 star if I’m honest. Chips were rock hard, sausage was black with soggy batter, fish was rubbery and tasteless again with soggy batter. And for the price you’d expect a little bit more. Real let down.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The wedge of lemon in the box really made it lush. So fresh and yummy. Recommend the garlic mayo sauce too! Yes, it’s pricy (£12.95 I think for a portion fish and chips) but I think it’s fair for the location, quality and quantity (lots of chips and good size fish). Just what you’d pay in any restaurant these days. Definitely going back!

The fish and chips themselves were lovely. We’ll cooked, very tasty. Everything else is a bit functional eg get your own cutlery. Probably a bit pricy because of the prime location. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our lunch here.

Nice location, nice fish, slow and unfriendly service. Portion of chips is a child’s portion where I’m from. I challenged it and they didn’t even offer to put a few extra in the box. First and last time I’ll be frequenting this establishment. It’s a real shame, poor value for money.

Just been to this place while on holiday and the fish and chips were disgusting. The chips were dry and the fish had no taste. Obviously living on past reputation. I'll go to the Chippy around the corner next time.

The fish and chips themselves were really good and very tasty. However if you are going to charge £25 for 2 portions of fish and chips then you would expect a reasonable level of service. The staff taking the orders couldn't raise anything approaching a smile or a please or thank you. The waiting staff just plonked the plates in front of us and said "cutlery is over there by the counter". Very disappointing visit.

Honestly one of the best fish and chips I've had. The fish was flakey and in a crispy batter. The chips where fluffy and soft which we dipped in the curry sauce. The curry sauce was fruity and reminded myself and my wife of a McDonald's curry dip. Would highly recommend this place to sit in.
