A small place but really enjoyed our food. That's twice I've been here now and it's always cosy and pleasant. Friendly staff and tasty food. Big portions too!

Great traditional pub! Thank you to the 2 ladies who welcomed my family plus dog in the dining area today. Great food and drink, very friendly service, spoilt our dog too! We came from the Woods caravan site visiting Scotland for the third time from England and always like to visit a pub whilst out and about so we are glad we came in here!

Lovely pub for a quiet drink or a proper pub lunch or dinner portion sizes are huge and great value for money they even allow Dogs in the front bit of the lounge

Husband and I decided on a traditional local pub lunch. Somewhere we'd never been. The Mansfield Arms is a traditional pub with background music that didn't invade a conversation. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding. A small menu on a chalkboard in the lounge with a range of pub favourites. I chose the Lasagne, and my husband chose Beef Stroganoff. Generous portions and full of flavour. We will come back here another time.

Had a family lunch which was reasonable and decent price. Would probably benefit from a wee spruce up interior wise as looking a bit shabby and dated.

We were passing through Sauchie and appreciated being able to bring our dog with us into the bar. The steak pies and battered fish and chips we ordered were great and the portions were generous. The staff here extremely efficient and polite. Looking forward to our next visit.

At Mansfield arms yesterday a group of about 10 of us. Cody outstanding again set up big table out in back room. Nothing was to much bother for her. Even when 1 of our members changed his mind and wanted a extra potion of the amazing chicken pakora. Really good size potions. Even couple members had never been there before and was amazed at size of potions. And also thanks to the person behind the bar that managed our big group thanks

Great find on our travels. Walking along the old railway track from The Woods Fishcross to Sauchie. The Mansfield Arms is more in Sauchie than Alloa. It also has a micro brewery called Devon Ales. Proud to be one of the first to try the yet un-named new lagerish beer. Very tasty 😋 The distance from the Caravan site is 1.37 miles so round trip just under 3 miles not too bad! Local bus service also available Very good service and a choice of 9 Real Ales brewed at premises. Food is served every day from noon.

Ordered a steak and when it arrived it was cold, sent it back then the chef brought it out but wasn't happy that I returned the meal. Went to pay and barmaid was so rude. Will definitely not be returning there again

The price is so reasonable ,portions of food plentiful and speed of food to table fairly reasonable. Barman friendly and polite as are most of the other staff.

The Mansield Arms is the local go to for excellent food and amazing Beer and Ale that is brewed in house. You are always sure of a warm welcome, staff are efficient and friendly. The food is excellent value for money. I highly reccomend the steak and fajita.

Love this place. The food is top notch, with BIG portions. The prices are really reasonable, and the staff are super friendly. 10/10 exactly what you would want from a pub lunch/dinner.

Enjoyed 2 lovely meals here. Very tasty and good service. And they accommodated our 2 dogs.

Food was terrible had to send my fish back and when another one came out for me to eat that was just as bad won't be back

Visited here on 20th January. It was a great experience. Cosy, good food ut the main highlight for us was the lovely young lady who served our meal and looked after us. She really made the whole visit a great evening.

Macaroni cheese was soggy. The cheese had no flavour because of the soggy macaroni. No lime for my drink. Maybe a bad day or maybe its usually like this. I don't know.

Not enough choice, wasnt best meal I have had and personaly wouldn't go back but for locals to grab a drink can see why they like it's old vintage look to the pub

Disabled parking to the side but poorly marked. The dining area was quiet so we were served promptly. T-bone steak on the menu so couldn't resist as I haven't had one for years. Reasonably priced at £19.95 plus £1.50 for pepper sauce. Perfectly done for me while I struggled to finish the chips and rabbit food. Well worth a visit but I suggest booking at a weekend as it can be busy.

Called in after driving from Sheffield for a football match, friendly and helpful bar staff, commended the brewer on his really excellent beers and though we didn't eat the food on the next table smelt really good so that's one for our future visit.Thank you for a pleasant pub experience, cracking beer and pleasant conversation, from Pat, Ben and Jamesie c/o Sheffield Football Club . 🍺🍺🍺👍👍

Just been down to mansfield the men had tbone steaks cooked to perfection I had fish n chips was great qualiry and price. Service was wonderful even got some brownies to take home great wee place

Good food and ample portion sizes. Aberdeen Angus sirloin grilled to perfection. Best to reserve at busy times, such as Friday nights.

Excellent place. Off the beaten track jewel of a pub. Despite no longer brewing my favourite "thick black" beer it continues to produce stunning beers, my new favourite is th 90/-. The food this little place produces is stunning. Flavoursome, good sized portions at a reasonable cost that's worth the trip from suffolk. The staff are always happy & helpfull & complete the package, for me. Don't expect, faffy food, its wholesome honest damn good grub.

Visited today for a couple of cold drinks and ended up having a late lunch which came highly recommended by Kirsty the barmaid who quite rightly was proud to advertise good food. My friend and I both had breaded fish and chips, his with peas and mine with salad and coleslaw. Fish was large, thick and lovely. Chips were also lovely and not the usual frozen variety most pubs use salad was fresh and coleslaw was delicious. We both left full and very happy with our meals. Kirsty was lovely very accommodating and an overall joy to converse with. I never caught the chefs name but he was also very friendly and took time to speak to us and obviously cooks a great meal. I will definitely be visiting again and look for to trying the steaks which Kirsty has also recommended. Overall the price was very fair for the portion size and quality of the food. I would not hesitate to return if passing in the future and will definitely schedule another visit in the near future.

What has happened to The Mansefield since Martin left??? the Patronising little man that is running things now needs a personality update, especially since opening again after Covid shutdown. He insists using a tracking app that does not work, in front of him I tried to log on to it and he still insisted I try even after trying himself. then after 35 minutes and me deciding to leave and go elsewhere he took the details and my order manually, no apologies just excuses. The food was at best mediocre, when asked how it was and told politely it was not up to any standard that we have been used to for 30 years, again, no apologies just excuses. his patronising manner is so off putting we will not be back after dining here for 30 years. Other diners backed me up and what happened? MORE excuses. Martin could be grumpy sometimes but always listened when you had a problem and always tried to sort it out if not there and then, after you had gone and made a point of contacting you and offering his solution. Then the bill came, a BIG rise in prices for a poor meal and even poorer service. Now I understand why for the first time ever it was nearly empty at tea time on a Thursday night on pay week. After making my own enquiries from people we have met dining here over the years they also commented on the nasty little manager and the poor food nowadays. Bye Bye The Mansfield.

Food's great. Really, the chips are amazing. It's by far the best pub food in the area. The decor is a bit tired. it's been the same as it was when I was a little girl. Some candles, dim lighting and you're sorted.

We have always had a great experience here but today was awful. We had Lucy our dog with us, so we ate in the Public Bar. Husband ordered breaded haddock and I requested a well done burger with cheese. The fish was crumbly and I don’t think it was haddock - cheaper alternative. My burger arrived - cheese wasn’t melted and the roll was ice cold and wet. I thought they cooked on the premises? When I told the waitress, she felt the roll with her hand, agreed it was cold and then took it back to kitchen. When she returned she said that she hoped the meal was now okay and she would return to check - which she didn’t. When I paid the manager asked if all was ok with meal and I explained not really, she said the chef was on holiday and his boss was standing in. There was no apology or offer of a free drink. Won’t be back. Shame - Previously great food and service.
