Simply yes. From the Coxihas to the steaks, the traditional Brazillian desserts, the cocktails. Everything was perfect. The service was just as good. there were two servers, and it really made a difference. We will go back again.

The food as always was excellent, however the service is poor, not for want of trying, but one girl can not look after a full Restaurant on her own. We went on a Saturday night and it seems they are trying to be like a pub with very loud music and people drinking( not eating) but trying to be a restaurant too and I'm not sure it works. The music is nice but far too loud too allow for conversation. I'm only young so I'm not being a kill joy, it really is too loud. We seen people leave, due to slow service and the noise, ialso know if many people who won't go on the evening for too the noise. This place could be Gold mine if they worked out what they wanted to be.

Do not recommend this restaurant! Very expensive, and very rude, disgusting service from staff. Especially a short Portuguese staff member who put her fingers in my face and shouted. Save your money and go elsewhere

Eating here for years but slowly getting fed up with the poor service. last week probably the last straw. The management have done a great job at refreshing the restaurant and the food is almost always good but the service from some of the staff (one in particular who has worked there a long time) leaves a lot to be desired for. Rude and obnoxious. Asked my wife and I to be prepared to leave as we were just having drinks and she "might" need the table. Meanwhile a table of locals (portugese locals I mean) were drinking away and left alone. Not for the first time, i've left feeling unwanted. If only there were more options around...

I have been to this restaurant 3 times since the 9th of January. I like the waitress from Milan. She is very professional and very polite. We hope she will continue. She is a breath of fresh air. We hope the boss doesn't bring nobody from the past even those that are very close to the boss. We wish them the best and we hope to come many times. Congratulations to the chef he is very good.

I visited this restaurant for a spot of Saturday lunch. The table was clean and the restaurant well presented. I order the Beef Skewers which came as a large wholesome portion, not to be shirked at. The waiter was attentive to us, even though it was quite busy. The local Portuguese beers were a welcome refreshment. The one thing I would note is that the main course was a little bit on the expensive side at £20.00 considering this was not fine dining or fussy food. However I am sure this can be addressed easily enough. Come here for basic good quality meat and chicken dishes.

Can’t believe I have lived 20 minutes away from this place for 8 years and never been! We went on Saturday for afternoon drinks and immediately felt like we were in Portugal surrounded by friends. The food was tasty, especially the prawns, clams and ribs, and the sangria was a perfect accomplishment. The wait staff were very busy but super friendly. Such a nice spot to catch the late afternoon sun and watch the world go by. Can’t wait to return and try the dinner service!

Absolutely recommend this restaurant. Been a regular for a few years and they keep getting better. I visited 27th August 2018 and was served by a polite waiter whom presented us with an Amazing banquet that consisted off massive prawns with a main of grilled chicken and chips. The house wine is fabulous recognised it by pallate and will surely continue visiting.

Llevé a mi familia a este restaurante y nos decepcionó muchísimo. El Calamari no era bueno en absoluto y el servicio fue absolutamente terrible, lo que empeoró la experiencia. Lo siento. Definitivamente no lo recomiendo. Yo, por mi parte, no regresaré a este establecimiento.

La comida era buena, sin embargo, el servicio fue desagradable. Llamamos para reservar una mesa 1. 5 horas antes para 4 personas y dijeron que estaba bien. Una vez que llegamos y les dijimos que habíamos reservado 4 con el nombre '. . . Dijeron que no había mesa reservada. Los dos que estaban trabajando se miraron confundidos como si no tuvieran una reserva anotada. Luego, después de unos minutos, decidieron darnos una mesa. Después de nuestros titulares, nos preguntaron si podíamos "hacerles un favor", cambiarnos a otra mesa porque tenían que preparar una mesa más grande donde estábamos sentados, para sus otros clientes. Entonces nos mudamos. Después de nuestra comida principal, esperamos nuestra comida y el menú de postres. El grupo grande (de 8 personas) entró en la mesa recién preparada en la que nos sentamos por primera vez y sentí que tenían prioridad. El camarero y el gerente saludaron a estos clientes con besos e ignoraron al resto de nosotros. Deben haber sido asiduos pero no deben olvidarse de otros o nuevos clientes. Nuestros platos vacíos fueron eliminados más tarde, pero nos sentamos esperando 20 minutos para que alguien nos ofreciera el menú de postres o la factura (que no terminó sucediendo). Después de crecer muy frustrado, decidimos no quedarnos para el postre y queríamos irnos, así que una vez que el camarero estaba libre de la mesa ocupada pedimos la cuenta. La comida era buena y bien de precio, pero no volveré. También necesita decorar el interior, las paredes necesitan una capa de pintura y volver a enyesar. No se sentía muy cómodo ni cómodo, especialmente cuando te dejan esperando.

Siendo portugués y viviendo en el centro de Londres, esta es probablemente la mejor comida portuguesa que puedo obtener en un radio de 20 minutos. La calidad de la comida es muy alta, los camareros son siempre amables y habladores, la ubicación no es céntrica, pero está literalmente al lado de Dolis Hill Tube (jubileo). Los pinchos de 'Madeira' son otra cosa. Si te aburres pregunta al camarero Bruno sobre la familia de Cristiano Ronaldo en Madeira, él te contará todo sobre ellos.

Tasty food and large portions including the glass of wine. Canteen style eating but good value. Would return.

Un pequeño lugar. Una cerveza, pollo con salsa de setas y patatas fritas, aceitunas y pan por 10 libras! El servicio era excelente, con un cuenco de agua para ser traído de perro. Pinta de lager de calidad más barata en Londres! El olor del lugar es increíble. Un hallazgo fantástico.

Always welcome every time we go to Manos and the staff are very accommodating, it is lovely sitting outside in the sun having a beer when the weather permitting,we would like to see a bit more change in the menu and more vegetarian dishes , for meat eaters the signature chicken is delicious

Very nice food, large portions.Tried the cod with prawns (amazing), and the chicken (very tasty, but if you order the spicy sauce be ready for a hot burning mouth).The green wine, which I had never tried, was a pleasant surprise!

Some friends lived near here so we went (because rain spoiled our planned BBQ) and this was incredible. Huge portions, spicy, great quality food. Not great for vegetarians but great chicken, prawns, just amazing.

Grilled chicken was excellent , complimented by Fries of perfect consistency. The fresh peri peri sauce was also nice and different, made with fresh whole ingredients. Waitress seemed to be doing a good job as she was on her own. In response to the terrible reviews you honestly get what you paid for. I paid 6 pounds for a great tasting half chicken and chips , which is the almost the same price as a fast food takeaway, very competitive for a dine in experience. On top of thos waitress provided a charger so I could charge my phone , which was a nice little bonus! Great work guys will definatky visit again.

Just moved to the area, it's quick, it's clean and the quality is better than expected for such a reasonable price.Owner was very friendly chap and service was fine. There when you needed and not there when you don't.I had the mixed grill to work out what meat they did well and what they did badly. I was pleasantly surprised that it was all very good.My wife and I ate well had a few beers and the bill was around £40 which for London ain't bad these days.Don't get me wrong it's not Gavrouche, but at the same time of you want good food at a reasonable price from a local business then this is a good place.I am off for the chicken wings tonight... My wife is adamant they are better than Nandoes!

It looked like a lovely little restaurant with white table cloths and napkins. How wrong. Ordered bread and olives to start which was OK. Ordered water. No glasses given. Ordered chicken . Told it came on its own so we added extra such as corn on the cob. It arrived with half a plate of tepid chips and a separate cob with nothing to pick it up with and that had been grilled so too hot to hold . bread and olives ( with my one knife on the plate ) removed while trying to eat and had to ask for it all back as we hadnt finished. Ordered chocolate cake . served Black Forest gateaux. Final straw. Card machine not working. Asked to go out in the torrential rain to get cash from machine . machine stated £1.75 to withdraw cash. So I said fine but I think you should deduct from the bill as its not out fault to which after a ridiculous exchange of why should they . the machine not working is not their fault...... The waitress said she would call the police as I was refusing to pay. No I wasn't. Please do. Common sense prevailed and the owner who had popped out came back and the amount was deducted within seconds. Totally unnecessary. Stressful experience where it could or should have been pleasant and could have been regular customers.

Unexpected to find a great restaurant like this in Dollis Hill, and it was busy on a Tuesday lunchtime. The portions are huge - my friend had the octopus (which I tasted and was excellent) and I had prawns - all delicious.Can't wait for my next visit

Great addition to Dollis Hill. Fantastic value, friendly service (although can be slow so do allow time and go with the Mediterranean flow.Excellent chicken and chips and salad.Would be great if opened for breakfast and refreshed menu with more brunch choices.Wine is fantastic and again great value.Definitely worth a visit.

This is a really lovely local home style Portuguese restaurant. It has a great vibe, nice decor, good service and great tasting, good value food. I love it here and always have a great time.

My partner and I booked a table on a Saturday night - and I am glad we did as the place was packed!The restaurant is quite small so the tables are very closed one to another - which can be a bit off putting - it was also extremely hot!There is also an outside area at the back of the restaurant - I couldn't see much of it as it was occupied - and the front of the restaurant also has tables and benches - but is also a smoking area.There was a few mistakes made with the food orders with us but also the tables around us, which may have been due to the fact that no orders were written down! But in all fairness every body did receive the food they ordered anyway!The menu was simple but really inviting! We went for the selection of tapas - and if like us you love garlic - you will be very happy! The food was fresh and tasty - there was no complaints there!The sangria is also highly recommended and you can buy it by the glass or pitcher.The prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be back but might book a table outside at the back next time.

Great that its here but…. Shame about the coffee, not sure what they use! More locals would go if they bought decent or real coffee. They need to visit Oporto and the Lisboa on Golborne Road to discover what a real cup of coffee is supposed to taste like.

What can I say about portugese bar and grill? Imagine the ambience of shaka zulu crossed with dub jam. SO MUCH MEAT!!!! Service that went above and beyond! More than we could have expected.we came in a party of 12 rowdy and hungry with no pre warning an they catered to us with a welcoming smile from the lovely waitress An gave us everything we needed! What a meal, hot and fresh. Man that's some good chicken.Blindin' it was, had some lovely chicken, and the sango was rad. If chicken were the rhythm of life, the beat of all our souls drum then what I would advise, nay, INSIST, is that you take yourself to portugese bar and grill. Honestly. I was treated every which way. Couldn't stop having fun. Meal of kings. What a treat. Joelle was a superstar; truly, I have never felt more welcome in a restaurant than I did at Portugese Bar and Grill Dollis Hil. That Dollis Hil Chicken... "YES" the absolute Bangbang! Ahshabedeneaia of tender chicken and the sweet crisp crunch of potatoe chips marinating in your mouth of pure ecstasy.. Yes DollisHil Portugese Grill and Bar.. Well earned restaurant to land on trip guide. The establishment really had that je ne sais quoi vibe, with much fun had from the party kidz tribe. Nice cutlery, forks were exquisute. Very nice

A great little local, always friendly and serves soul nourishing food. I recommend prawns in garlic for starter and the spicy chicken and chips washed down with a glass of sangria. Mmmmmm. Yummy!

Very tasty, and a fab sangria. This could be my local easily! I have to come back and try the tapas menu, looked fab. They have seating outside and a new wooden surround that are going to have plants in which will block view of road, I believe I will have a few summer evenings at this place! Staff were extremely polite and friendly.

I went for a light tea end up having a meal, is a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere the all white decoration and candles gives a bit of romantism to the place, the food is tasty and prices are reasonable. The customer service was great the waitresses are bubbly and professional. I will came back soon.

This Portuguese restaurant is a few blocks away from where my wife's parents live - there are few within walking distance, so this was definitely worth a try. Nice selection of tapas and grills. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Also does takeaways.

After having read some of the negative reviews posted about this restaurant it was, I admit, with some trepidation, that I went for a birthday celebration earlier today. I should not have worried as the positive reviews have it exactly right - this is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff who know exactly what the menu offers and can give advice if required. The food arrived on time (and for a group of 8 this can sometimes be a problem. It is a shame I do not live around the corner otherwise I would be back more often ......

If there was an award for widest gulf between quality of food and service - this place would have virtually no competition. Been here a few times, never been bought a menu on arrival, usually have to go in ask to order as no one comes to take your order. Would advise fetching your own Condiments as they rarely arrive even when requested. Also if you request your bill halfway through main course you may get it in a sensible timeframe. Really is such a shame the service is so poor here, always feel like going back is a penance for enjoying the food so much. Would make me so happy if this aspect improves so I can enjoy the grub without boiling in my seat !

At last! A decent bar and restaurant in the Dollis Hill area of London. Manos Grill & Portuguese Bar (just opposite Dollis Hill tube station) is a small bar and restaurant serving simple, but well cooked Portuguese grills and tapas dishes and it offers authentic Portuguese wines and draught beer. It has a comfortable outside seating area and the interior is pleasingly unpretentious - simple and comfortable. Half a grilled chicken is just £6 and tastes lovely. There is a small selection of seafood tapas dishes which I'll be going back to try. A pint of Sagres Portuguese lager is £3.50 and there are a range of inexpensive Portuguese wines available.

Been here 4 times. Good food. Charming service. Full of families talking Portuguese. Tapas, chicken, custard tarts, coffee, all good. Really nice atmosphere.

We have had dinner on 4 separate occasions at Manos and yes the service can be a little haphazard but this is a Portuguese Restaurant! The food is excellent and to have a restaurant in Dollis Hill is a major plus. They are having a few teething problems but providing you go with a relaxed open mind you won't be disappointed. A little patience when ordering and waiting for your meal doesn't go amiss. We and the friends who have dined with us (different friends on each occasion) have all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We do not want Manos to close and we will certainly be going back. Also a great little restaurant for breakfast, coffee and a pasteis de nata. And who could resist sardines and a bottle of casal garcia for lunch on a sunny day!

I booked a table at this place to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was for 18.30 so that we could have an early meal and meet up with friends later in the evening. We arrived on time and were seated at a table inside. I would have liked to have sat outside but the waitress who had very little understanding of english insisted that we sit inside. We ordered our meal even though we could not change chips for potatoes on one of the meals and as the other meal was with potatoesand after trying to request that as both meals were steaks (barcelona steak and portuguese) could the steaks just be swapped around. This could not be done, for what reason we still dont know. The sauce on each stake was supposed to be completely different but it tasted and looked the same on both dishes. When we got our main meal we just swapped plates !! We had ordered starters to begin with. After 45 minutes waiting a person came to the table and informed us that the last portion of " gizzards " had been served to another table. After some questions we came to understand that this was the kidneys that had been ordered. This we found to be a little odd as we were the only table at the time that had ordered food. However we decided on another starter and ordered that instead. Within twenty seconds my starter was placed on the table. I tried to explain that my wifes starter was only just ordered and would take some time but the person putting the dish on the table showed no interest and just walked back to the kitchen area. At this point I felt like walking out but my wife said that we should just wait and see when it comes. We eventually had our meal and when I asked for the bill a female who spoke excellent english came to the table and asked if everything was OK. She gave the impression that she was a manager or owner. When we explained our grievance she turned to the waitress and said that one person could handle that and then went into the kitchen. We were left with somebody who had no idea how to understand or solve the issues. We got no apologies or explainations. The level of service was something I never wish to come across again. I have found out that this place is opened for just the last six weeks. I can only hope the it closes in the same short span of time so that nobody else has to endure that experience.
