Manillas in Pembrokeshire

We are regular visitors to Manillas and love the family run atmosphere. It does get very busy but if you book in advance it’s never a problem, I love the character of the decor - very mix & match but it works. The coffee is divine and the food is always delicious & we’ve never had to wait too long for service. The majority of the staff are friendly, smiling and give us a warm welcome. As for the cakes 😋 yummy yummy - definitely worth a try with lots of different flavours to choose.

My wife and I called into this establishment for a late lunch. The weathr was quite inclemant and as such the outside seat was not available. As a rsult the inside was very busy. Despite this we were quickly seated. The service was efficient and polite. When our food arrive I was extremely suprised at the amount of handcut boiled ham I had in by roll. Similarly my wife's tuna roll was very well packed. Will defnitely revisit though hopefully the weather will be better.

Had a lovly lunch the food was lovely the setting down by the marina was fab the staff and the service was great will go there again

The food was lovely, but the staff and service left a lot to be desired. We booked in advance being Easter weekend, but when we arrived, we were told the reservation had been made for 2 guests, not 3. We had definitely made it for 3 because, again, we knew it would be busy. The food was nice, but it took over 45 minutes to come. To the point my boyfriend went and asked where it was because tables that had arrived after us had had their food. The young girl serving us was incredibly rude and abrupt. Everything was an inconvenience for her. The older man, who I assume is the "manager", was beyond rude. No manners, please or thank you, incredibly snappy and short tempered with guests as well as staff. Snarky and snide comments were far from needed and just generally made us feel uncomfortable. Also referring to the younger, female, members of the team as "honey" in front of a restaurant full of people was extremely unprofessional.

Lovely location. £7 for a cappacino & toasted tea cake with jam. I would’ve preferred to put my own jam on, but it came with it already on. The waitress was rude and certainly didn’t want to be there. Our group all ordered and paid separately at the take out door and they all remarked at how sullen the waitress was. I wouldn’t rush back unfortunately.

Seeking coffee and a cake, but surly welcome , not allowed to look at cakes, so went away. Similar welcome previously, so not a one-off. Nice setting on a sunny day.

Had a dog so had to eat outside which was fine. Ordered the ham salad £9.00 which I thought was ok price until the smallest box of food arrived absolute joke it had about 5 leaves and some salads all thrown in the box with a handful of shredded ham on top, that certainly didn’t match the description on the menu. Nice venue but shame about portion and presentation of the food.

Have visited here several times and enjoyed every visit. On our most recent visit, Mothers Day, we arrived close to closing and were seating by a welcoming team of staff. The staff were very friendly and interacted brilliantly with my 11 month old boy, the daughter of the owner then gifted him a cup of cream. I thought this was extremely sweet and our experience here was really lovely. I had a chai latte which was delicious and cherry chocolate cake, which was also extremely good. Nothing nicer than seeing a family run business work together as a team. We will be back!

So rude Have visited twice over the past couple months and found owner so rude. Went inside to have a look at cakes on display and on board and was quickly ushered outside and told to go order via side hatch. One visit and being rude can happen, but second occasion is just not on. Strangely he knew people on table next to us and was nice as pie to them. Made us feel unwelcome so decided to leave Need to respect customers

Slow service, even though the place was very quiet , staff seemed disinterested we finished our main and had to go and order our sweet at the counter even though it was apparently table service, not a great experience as I had heard it was better than this .Very disappointed won't be hurrying back

Well what a fantastic welcome, and service despite the fact that they were so busy! Loved my bacon roll! Beautiful artisan bread, very special. Lovely setting will definitely return. Special thanks to the “grumpy” gentleman for our special treat at the till, you know who you are! Thank you very much appreciated x and I know you r a softy at heart!

Table service non existent !! They got no idea on how to serve paying customers after a long wait to be served they served others who arrived after you! Rude waitresses and no atmosphere. There are far better places in Pembrokeshire Avoid if you can

My daughter and I had an excellent lunch at Manillas, fabulous salad (not just a few leaves and half a cherry tomato), beautiful warm homemade quiche. Service was excellent and we bought some delicious cakes to take home for tea. Would highly recommend and will definitely be revisiting..

Popped in after a walk, we didn't want anything too big, so decided on a tea cake & teas. The staff were so rude, I asked if we could have a little dish of jam on the side as opposed to spread on the teacakes, you would have thought I had asked for them to cook me a 3 course Christmas meal, the look of disgust on her face, at this simple request was unbelievable. We all live locally and often do that Neyland walk, but we will never go to this cafe again.

My second visit here and it’s definitely going to become one of my regulars. After a walk along the cycle path at Neyland such a great place to stop for coffee and homemade cakes. People are lovely and the cafe is very warm and welcoming. The cakes are the best in Pembrokeshire lol, sumptuous 🍰 Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat

Fantastic cafe for breakfast and coffee but they really outdid themselves with their Greek theme night. Fantastic food, great service, lovely twinkly fairy lights adding to the atmosphere. Definitely Ned to do it more often!

Stopped for a coffee and a filled roll whilst out walking the dog. The idea was just to grab an go ( you can sit outside with the dg, but not inside). However we did actually sit for a few mins and it was worth taking some time out. Coffee was quality and the filled chicken roll made was freh and delicious. Real treat, will be there again.

Staff were superb, very friendly and chatty and made you feel welcomed! Service was quick, drinks were lovely. The cake selection is fantastic - lots of variety, all very tempting to say the least! We chose the choc fudge cake and rocky road and they were divine! Very rich in flavour and super tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely location and nice atmosphere. We chose from the Specials board and had the Chicken and Brie rustic roll, which was served with a pickle noodle salad. The roll was massive and the salad unusual (not sure I’d choose this again) . The chicken was large chunks which was a little difficult in a roll. Cappuccino was just right. 4 stars because there is only one choice of roll (Rustic white) and you haven’t an indoor dog friendly area.

I visit Manillas often & last night had the pleasure of attending the Mediterranean Tapas night. The food was fresh, every dish (all 13!!) was delicious & the atmosphere was both buzzing yet intimate. Service was friendly & wonderfully paced. I am very fussy & don't leave reviews unless everything was superb & the whole team did not disappoint. Booked in for next week's Mexican night & can't wait. So lovely to have these themed evenings in the darker months - well done everyone!

We eat at Manillas quite often and the food is always interesting, well cooked and tasty. We were excited to try an evening out at their Mediterranean Tapas Night and it didn’t disappoint. So much delicious food which just kept on coming! We had such a great night and will definitely be back for another themed evening.

Stopped in for lunch. Stood at the sign saying please wait to be seated for a few minutes. As there was plenty of tables, we went to sit down. The girl came over, told us it was table service and she would be back. She brought us some menus, and started to tell us what her favourites were. We gave our order. We were told while we were waiting, if we could go onto Facebook, and have a giggle at some of the bad reviews they had. She reccomend that we leave a review, and to take some pics of the food, but only to leave a good review....?. I ordered the teriyaki pulled pork which came with jacket potato, coleslaw and salad. All very nice and tasty, but im convinced it was pulled gammon! . Whilst taking the order of the table next to us, she was reccomending her favourites to them. I overheard her saying that i had ordered the pulled pork, and by the looks of it , i was enjoying it! I didn't think she was very professional at all. She wasn't appropriately dressed for serving the food, with a strapless top on, all upper arms exposed! She was quite pushy, wanting us to leave a good review. The food was nice, but the lady who served us wasnt very professionally, very pushy, and confident in herself! Telling us that she was good at her job 😕

Nicest chicken or ham salad we have had in a long time, home cooked ham or marinated chicken, couscous, beetroot salad, coleslaw, marinated tomatoes, potato salad, rice salad and spinach leaves, plenty of it and really delicious. Lovely looking cakes for dessert, will definitely call back again and takeaway too! £8 each, What a find !

We've been coming here for over 18months.Phill and all the staff always give a warm welcome,often spoiling my grandson.The food is always amazing and the gluten free options always give the wife a tough decision as to what to eat.During the summer the outside seating area over looks the marina and the cheddar Bridge.Overall a very friendly,fantastic place for a quick coffee or a get together and meal.Cannot recommend the place enough

Lovely place to go for some proper homemade food. Just been for lunch and it was truly delicious. Service was brilliant even though they were busy plenty of time to spend with us and no feeling rushed to free up table. Cakes were amazing I had raspberry and white chocolate sponge, partner coffee and walnut and such generous portions! We go regularly as a couple, family and with friends. Always accommodating and friendly. Can not recommend this place enough!Only problem is choosing what meal to have as they are all so nice!

When we arrived the staff couldn't be bothered to find us a table so we was seated on one that was out of the way of the restaurant. The service was poor and the guy that was waiting tables was really rude and couldn't be bothered the cake we ordered wasn't fresh and tasted stale and the latte was weak and on top of that we was charged twice which they couldn't be bothered to properly deal with. Will not be returning here again .

The food was OK. Portions were a fair size and quite tasty. Service could have been a lot better. 2 members of staff walked passed us upon arrival completely ignoring us. We had pre booked a table not that any of them cared or bothered to ask. Service was pretty slow. No sugar offered with the hot drinks (but the neighbouring table was offered) so I had to go up and ask for sugar. Upon paying the girl was more interested in why someone's full dish had been returned to the kitchen rather than actually taking payment for our lunch. One thing that really really bothered me was the same member had a mask on with her nose sticking out over the top. You breathe through your nose also which is the point of wearing a 'face covering'. Signs and posters stating guests to do so, so I expect the same from staff.

A variety of milk options, including vegan squirty cream. We had the nicest vegan hot chocolate we’ve ever had at this cafe, thank you. Lovely helpful service too. Our new favourite family cafe, we’ll be back soon.

One of my regular favourites (my dog loves it even more..) Staff are very friendly and love bringing a puppacino out and making a fuss of my dog - and everyone's dogs! The food has always been fresh, tasty and plentiful, and the cakes are incredible! My only suggestion is stronger coffee, but that's just my personal taste.Keep up the good, hard work guys, you have been a welcome escape during the madness of the last 18 months.

I met up with a friend for lunch and was encouraged it was so busy. The spacing though gave us confidence. Waitress welcoming was a little bit OTT but put that down to Christmas. Trouble was she was like that at every interaction, not listening to us but just “being nice” throughout. Drinks were lovely - Bailey’s Hot Chocolate especially. But the food ? Oh dear, so disappointing. The waitress told us the rolls we ordered came with crisps etc. They came with four small spoons of various “salads”. The quinoa was horrid and there was a corn/bean/tomato mix that was awful. The coleslaw and leaves were, well, coleslaw and leaves. The rolls themselves were not great. Difficult to eat and uninspiring We then tried the cakes - something Manilla’s used to be locally renowned for - having different varieties but both found our choices to be very dry. Will probably not be revisiting in the near future, which is a shame as pre pandemic was a good place to catch up with friends, great location but I would only have a coffee.

I visited today for the first time with my 2 children. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when I made a mistake of not remembering my daughter does not like butter!

Popped in for a takeaway whilst my Dad was looking at a place adjacent to the cafe to moor his boat. Ordered a takeaway for the 4 of us. I would recommend the Avocado and feta cheese rustic roll. My Husband recommends the special of the day, which was the chilli beef nachos. Followed by the walnut and coffee cake. Quick and friendly service and covid friendly. Next time, we would like to sit in but today was a quickie. Thanks for the delish food.

We're staying in Broad Haven and this place was a recommendation from previous guests. What an absolute gem! Beautiful location, fantastic menu and incredible staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome! The food was absolutely amazing - all home-cooked, fresh, quality ingredients and a fusion of delicious flavours. The whole team was so friendly and helpful, particularly so since I was one of those awkward customers who asked for a rather unusual special request! They were so kind to accommodate me and what they produced was delicious. We only wish we'd found this place earlier in our holiday. Can't recommend it highly enough! This is what good food is all about and customer service that everyone should aspire to. People genuinely passionate about what they do - a fantastic experience and we'll be recommending it to everyone we can.

I went to Manillas for the Mexican night and my god was it absolutely delicious. Everything was just spot on and I could not fault anything. The service was amazing, location is excellent and the food was just something else! Manila’s is the place to eat in Neyland for sure, next time I visit neyland I will definitely be coming back here!

Was lucky enough to have a table for 2 at the Mexican tapas night, each course was delicious and comprised of complementary elements that fit the theme. The setting was decorated, and the view over the marina at night was a lovely backdrop. Generous portions and tasty grub , couldn't eat it all, but the staff were happy to give us boxes so nothing wasted. Tonight's drinks were lush too. Despite the venue being busy, the service was friendly and timely. Anna's food always looks as good as it tastes, so shared a few photos with family who couldn't be with us. The diners next to us wanted Vege versions, and theirs looked yummy too. Happy tummies all round :) Manilla's is a real gem, get a table booked!

Me, my boyfriend and parents reserved a table this evening and had the most amazing experience. The service and food is some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff are very friendly and strive to create a positive atmosphere. I can’t wait to return to enjoy more of their wonderful food options.

So glad we came across this beautiful quirky restaurant. Fresh homemade cakes all home made beautiful combined menu made with local produce . Plenty of choices . Staff are friendly and the view of the harbour was fab . Definitely worth a few visits and I will be keeping an eye out for their next evening event as the tapas menu looks great . Busy place but plenty of indoor and outdoor seating .

I got seated straight away and staff was very friendly and laughable. I ordered one Nutella coffee and a salted caramel ice cream, and I can honestly say it was the best snack I have ever tasted. Fair play to the lady who made it. It was huge and amazing for the price. I did not wait very long either. I shall definitely be returning soon :)

We have visited here on numerous occasions as we have a boat in the marina, The food is outstanding and it is never too much trouble when there are picky eaters in the group always something new to choose and the recommendations from the staff are always spot on. A special mention to the staff here no matter when we come, how busy you are the smiles and friendly welcome never falters, definitely makes the visit that even more special! Keep it up all, you are doing an amazing job and we will continue to visit.

I love coming to Manillas for a breakfast on my own taking in the gorgeous scenery and catching up with the lovely staff. Always the best service even when I ask for things that aren't on the menu. Delicious coffee too 👌🏼

Wow, just wow! Takeaway working lunch....Chicken katsu curry on potato wedges, all homemade, the wedges are to die for, slow cooked so all crunchy and gooey and tasty at the same time, loads of flavour in the curry, great combination! Best caramel latte and breakfast roll for that morning after the night before pick me up!CHEESECAKE!!!!The staff are all really friendly and lovely, can't fault the service.
