Delicious grub, the Monday 30 percent off is an absolute steal for a main. Walked out well fed and very happy with this Gem. Ended up having the Spicy chicken strips and rice but I will be back for a burger. Very good and great for groups of 4-6 people

2nd time visiting this restaurant had a amazing Sunday lunch roast dinner cooked to perfection had the 3 course great value for your money. Food and service was amazing couldn’t do enough for us they entertained my children brilliantly and believe me they can be a handful 😁 so thank you carol and luci we definitely be seeing you 2 again in the future

We came here based on good reviews and it being close to our hotel after a busy day we couldn’t be bothered to go far afield. On entry you can tell it’s a bit dated and decor needs updating, other than the bar area which has a certain charm about it, a bit vintage in a good way. Waitress and barman were absolutely lovely, but the place is too small and seats are too close together, the table across from us had obviously had a few drinks and kept trying to chat and that just wasn’t the vibe we were going for. Starters arrived and it was clearly just deep fried pre packaged frozen food, over seasoned with way too much salt. The mains however were the worse, and a let down, the carbonara was a goopy consistency and didn’t taste right, it had formed a skin after only a minute of being put down and the pepperoni pasta bake was just a thick layer of pizza mozzarella that had been grilled which when removed left a soupy grease/watery pasta sauce with lumps of chicken that unfortunately we didn’t feel comfortable eating, no flavour, but excess salt again. Overall the food is really not worth eating and although they have offers on, I’d assume that is the only thing pulling people in. Really disappointed having wasted our last meal of our trip coming here. We had concerns about the potential need for a re-check on the hygiene rating after 5 years since it’s been checked.

Arrived for our reservation, we were greeted and seated immediately…great start, but sadly from there it went down hill, the waitress was lovely very friendly and attentive. We ordered our meals didn’t have to wait too long, one of the starters was very over cooked and tasted like salt. We then got our mains my main was chicken which still had the gristle parts of the chicken on and the dish was swimming in grease, the garlic bread was overcooked. I left most of mine which was a shame as I was looking forward to the meal after reading past reviews. The Venue itself seemed clean apart from the fact there was wallpaper stuck back on with sellotape. The venue was also very loud with people shouting and chatting seemed more like just a “pub” not a restaurant. Would not recommend an overall very disappointing experience

A great find. Great food at good prices.

Visited on a friend's recommendation for a Sunday roast. As it's a first visit I wasn't sure what to expect. There was a choice of beef or chicken. I got the beef and one of our party is vegetarian, they accomadated this without any fuss even provided veggie gravy, although it wasn't listed on the menu and this might put people off. Carol was a delight, chatty, smiling and friendly. Happy to provide drinks to the table so we didn't have to get up. The food arrived, very appealing to the eye. Perfect temperature and absolutely delicious. None of us could fault it. The only problem we had was our stomachs weren't big enough to finish it all. However carol was on hand to provide boxes to take leftovers away. I will return very soon when I have a Sunday off work to indulge in another delicious Sunday roast.

Great wee hidden gem in the heart of Liverpool Warm atmosphere with good seating, great menu. Tried to phone in the Morning to book a table but no answer but they immediately called me back . When I turned up she recognised my Scottish accent from the call and was very pleasant 10/10 We will be back .

Booked twice here, the first time on November 18th for a table on 22nd December. The booking has been cancelled twice with no explanation why. I rang to find out why and was told a large party has booked the restaurant. When i pointed out we'd booked 1st i was told sorry about that. This was going to be a treat for my wife, I'm absolutely fuming, If this is the way they treat people i sincerely hope they go out of business.

We booked this restaurant after reading rave reviews on here , unfortunately it wasn't for us , the only positive was the lovely lad that served us. Very small place, tables extremely close together, felt like we were sat in someone's front room, food ok , nothing spectacular , door bell noise went off everytime food was ready which was annoying, sadly won't be returning

What a fantastic experience. Booked a table in advance with a very polite man called Jack Edwards. We arrived on time and were welcomed with open opens by a young lady called carol who was extremely busy but made us feel very welcome. The service was superb and the food was outstanding, special thanks to both Jack and carol who looked after us throughout our stay. Two lovely people who are a credit to their employers. We loved it and will be back.

Had a lovely time in this bar for our works Christmas do. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I loved the salt n pepper calamari. The staff were amazing and so friendly.

Chose this place for my lads 18th meal after having a quick Google for somewhere lively as we were visiting Liverpool for the weekend and not from the area. Had the mushrooms to start and the feta and spinach for main. Starter was OK, main was awful. Burnt rock hard cheese! Everyone else enjoyed their food. But what I felt was lacking food wise the place more than made up for in a great atmosphere. Really buzzing restaurant. Brilliant staff and lovely cocktails. Will visit again but just choose something different from the menu

First trip to liverpool and the manhattan was just along the street from where we stayed, absolutely fantastic night! Friendly staff and customers, food was amazing and the atmoshphere was electric, brillaint singer in on a friday and sunday night. Cannot fault the place.

Excellent evening. We booked very last minute (6 hours before!) for a table of 20 and the staff were fabulous and so accommodating with our booking. Live music was amazing and definitely played to the audience. Would highly recommend

Went with wife on 8th November 2023 for what we thought was a nice meal - how wrong was I . Place was empty and after getting a menu we had to wait a good while on a drink order . Any restaurant we have been asks for a drink order as they seat you - standard practise really . They presented us with a menu and then after 4 minutes told us to this is their words not mine " You need to order ASAP as the chef wants to go home ". Didn't even have time to read the full menu . In hindsight - this should have been our cue to depart forthwith but unfortunately we didn't as we thought it couldn't get worse but it did . VERY VERY RUDE AND VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE TO PAYING CUSTOMERS 🤬🤬🤬🤬 The waiter brought out the starter and basically threw it on the table - and departed. My main came out - cabonara - and the sauce was basically the consistency of milk - so it was like eating breakfast cereal with a fork - not great at all . Taste was below average at best - left 90% of it in plate as was inedible plus they had 2 bits of garlic bread swilling about in the milky / soupy sauce . Bread wasnt edible so left bread. If it had of been fed as pigswill am sure the pigs would have turned their snouts up at it !!! Totally disgusting food - if you could call it that - and totally disgusting attitude and service from the staff who gave the vibe they couldn't be arsed even being there. Would have got better food and service in a 3rd world country !!! Not once - did any member of staff come down to our table to ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything - even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Went to pay the bill at bar as no staff to be seen - then to top it off Barman / waiter / total waste of space person ( all the same person ) after being asked Can I pay the bill - he presents me with a card machine and amount to pay and no bill and wants me to hand over my card to him . What a plonker !! Had to ask him to see the bill to see what we were paying for and he was annoyed at this reasonable request . Then he has the audacity to ask about a tip !!! Only tip he deserved was tipped head first into the Mersey along with the rest of the staff for their poor food and poor service . WILL NEVER GO TO THIS CRAP ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN AND WILL BE WARNING OTHERS NOT TO ALSO - SURPRISED WE DIDNT GET FOOD POISOINING . THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS SOMETHING YOU WOULD SEE ON A GORDON RAMSEY KITCHEN NIGHTMARES PROGRAMME !!! DESERVES A ZERO OUT OF 5 SCORE !!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! It has often been said that you should not judge a book by its cover. We had seen very good reviews about this restaurant and decided to book a table. When we got there we were startled because the place looked more like a noisy bar than a restaurant. But we still had to try the place. We ordered beef tenderloin with various vegetables, fries, and sauces. The food was simply excellent and the service very good. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Liverpool.

Visiting Liverpool for a few days came across this beautiful bar we visited on Wednesday the 8th November great offers on we had fajitas which where 2 for 1 they where amazing food and staff where amazing thank you manhattan bar and grill we will definitely be returning

We were a party of 8 older ladies, out for an evening meal. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. The menu was varied and the dishes were beautifully cooked. I had the garlic/lemon chicken skewer which was absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Shannon, was cheerful and helpful. She coped really well with a bunch of over-50 clowns.... we loved her. The music was quite loud but we were more than happy. I would highly recommend the Manhatten for any visit to Liverpool....

What a place 12 of us went Saturday night they couldn’t have been more accommodating all our meals came at once all hot and no complaints and delicious and to top it off they had a great singer on who came down to sing to us we had a brilliant night would recommend to anyone if your in Liverpool 👍

The owner and staff could not do enough for us lovely people the food was excellent and with 12 people to feed the food all came out together so none of us were waiting for our meals. There was a singer on while we were having our meal and he was excellent too. We all joined in and had a sing along. Stayed for a drink after in the bar where they had music on. Would definitely return.

BEST FILLET STEAK I've ever had! Hands down no where else comes close! Family run always made to feel welcome, literally come here religiously everything on the menu is banging and both food and drinks reasonably priced! Brilliant atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights aswell! Rare to find a place with such high quality food and drink and owners and staff that actually truly care about the customers!

Wow the food here is amazing!!! Served with an ice cold pint of peroni. I had the crispy chilli chicken which was sublime while my partner had the T-bone steak cooked medium rare which he absolutely loved. The quality of the food was poor. I ordered loaded fries and they were stone cold. The young girl that served us was polite and friendly, but the older lady was rude and unprofessional. We were made to feel very unwelcome. I would not recommend.

Amazing food and great friendly service

The atmosphere was a bit loud and scattered, however this was in part due to a birthday party being held in one area of the restaurant, and there being a football match on. The service wasn't terrible, but it was a bit vacant, and we weren't informed at any point we had to go to the bar to pay at the end of the meal, so were sat there waiting a while before we decided to go and ask ourselves. The food was decent, albeit nothing special.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant. I have to say it wasn’t what I was expecting first walking in, we’d booked online as it was advertised as a family restaurant, so was quite surprised to walk in to find a large, busy and rather loud cocktail bar with just a few small dining tables down a set of small stairs. We were about to walk out as we had 3 small children and a double pram and thought we’d made a mistake. We were immediately helped by a member of staff though who helped us fold up the pram which they stashed behind the bar, they helped us downstairs with the children and get seated. And the service was amazing. The waiter was hilarious and the food was out of this world. The tables could be a little bigger, we were a bit squashed in, that’s the only minor complaint though. Will definitely be back!!

Went here tonight for dinner with my boyfriend and it was amazing! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was unbelievably tasty and came out really quickly!

We stopped by here by chance looking for somewhere to drink outside on our way back from the docks. All the staff inside were great, so polite and helpful. We happened to come during Happy Hour so enjoyed two cocktails for a tenner. The atmosphere outside was great with lot of people drinking and having a good time. Would 100% come again!

Brilliant experience, we went In for dinner on back holiday weekend. My partner had the mixed fajitas with a side of salt and pepper chips. I had the carbonara with a side of salt and pepper chips. The food was lovely! The drinks were also good and overall the price was reasonable. Staff were all friendly and helpful, somewhere I would recommend.

Not nowing Liverpool we didn't know where to eat. Heading back to our accommodation we passed this small restaurant and glad we went in Warm welcome by Carol. The large serving of fajitas were delicious. Thanks to all the staff.

We had high expectations after reading the reviews unfortunately it was very disappointing. The meat had a weird dull grey colour (ribs and steak) steak was supposed to be rare it wasn’t chips rock hard and under cooked. Blue cheese sauce tasted like warm milk....

This little bar & grill was just up the road from where we was staying & it was lovely! We didn't plan ahead for going out for a meal & they managed to accommodate for 13 of us in such short notice. Came to the manhattan for dinner and a few drinks when visiting Liverpool. We came from Derby and weren't sure where to go to eat but I'm sooo glad we found this little place. The atmosphere is nice, it's intimate and the music is good too! The guy who served us was lovely and polite and couldn't do enough for us. I had a fillet steak and it was the best steak I've ever eaten! Cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Will definitely keep this place in mind when visiting again!

The Manhattan is the best bar and restaurant in Liverpool. The food is outstanding and the people who work there are the best so friendly and professional. Everyone should have the Manhattan experience it's amazing. Would highly recommend it.

100% recommend the Manhattan Bar And Grill for anyone looking for amazing tasting food aswell as a classy establishment. I travelled to Liverpool for the first time with my mam and ended up trying this out and we couldn’t have a chose a better way to spend the evening. The staff where welcoming, friendly and polite, the owner was down to earth and very approachable. I chose the steak fajitas which were perfectly seasoned and the best I’ve ever had, my mam got the T-Bone steak which was a great size, cooked perfectly and had the most succulent taste. The cocktails are well made and service is immaculate, we will definitely be coming back
