I have been going to this restaurant many times and the food does not compare to anything like authentic Thai meals recently Very poorly prepared Service was good Time to find a new Thai restaurant now

The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. The pre theatre meal was great value.

Really enjoyable Thai food. Main dishes were very good and huge portions. Green curry and lamb shank especially. The sea food starter was overpriced and wouldn’t recommend. Generally the food was of a very good standard. That said I think London has more Authentic Thai restaurants at a better value for money.

Ohh where do I get started, the atmosphere of the restaurant as soon as you walk in a beautiful fragrance slaps you in the face and somehow seems to stay there from the time you leave. The food just wow marvelously presented which doesn’t mean much me to as long as it tasted good which it did and made me full to the maximum capacity my belly can handle. which I do take into consideration when spending a little bit more than usual which dosent matter when you inherently are also paying towards the whole experience which was definitely worth it. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time, the staff were helpful and welcoming, the use of of dimming lights really set the mood wasn't on a date but felt like it haha .Would definitely come back as mango tree is now officially my comfort food spot loved all the staff can only say good things about them. And the restaurant as a hole. Also shout out to aziza and Julia two of many staff that served us they are pure and genuine humans thanks to them for recommending me this spot both great workers and inspirations mostly aziza haha!

The food which was vegan/veg and drink (climb the mango tree) gave me a rash and was not great. The service was a bit poor too. The cost, was stupendously high from when I last visited the venue last year. The only aspect which was good was my company. I'm extremely disappointed, a no go

To be fair, it was early in the evening, so we didn't expect a buzzing atmosphere. We had the pre-theatre set menu which was very reasonably priced yet still had good portion sizes. The food was well presented and tasted very nice.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is is not as it seems. Especially the Belgravia branch where we dined tonight. It was honestly a dinner from hell. If you are vegan or have any allergy to diary DO NOT EAT HERE! I booked this restaurant for my mums birthday and had heard such amazing reviews about it. So we as a family was genuinely very excited to eat at the “amazing restaurant”. My mother suffers from being allergic to ALL DAIRY products. And leaving this restaurant we now sadly have to stop off at the hospital as she has had a severe reaction eating here. All she had was plain noodles (which were rock solid) and duck in tamarind source & soy a source. The food was absolutely appalling and funny enough the only thing that got ate was my mums dry duck and noodles. When we checked the allergen menu ALL of there meals contained milk even including the vegan menu. The chef also then tried to justify why there was milk contained in the “vegan” food. And even had the audacity to say “it’s okay, it’s just 2% milk”. Which is foul. The manger was not fit for his job as he couldn’t even be asked the deal with it and tried to get the chef to deal with it. Which I have never seen in my life. Customer service was terrible, the food was terrible, and the way they dealt with the whole situation was terrible. Please do not eat here if you have any allergies, if you are vegan or planning special occasion. It can be potentially dangerous or even life threatening for you.

It is obvious that the manager has no idea about his position in the restaurant. I didn't feel comfortable and the food didn't arrive complete. I wouldn't go back to that place

Food was good. Starters were tasty. The main course, however, came out warm. Drinks were also not cold as requested. Service could have been better, though they did try their best to accommodate requests. All in all, just okay.

I went here with my family for my birthday. First thing I noticed was how spacious the interior was, It was clean and had a lovely atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. The staff were all so polite and made you feel welcomed. We all ordered a cocktail each, and they were very generous with the spirits. Between us we ordered the Pad Thai, vegetable spring rolls,chicken satay, thai fishcakes, special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken. All was really nice. The best bit for me was the dessert, as this was new to me. I had the Thai tea fondant. This was sooooo nice and not too sweet. If you never had it, you must try it. Price was not too expensive, but not cheap either. All in all a very good evening. Will definitely go again.

Food wasn't too bad. The rice was too sticky. The cocktails weren't so great. Customer service wasn't so good. To be honest I'd be better off going to my local Chinese.

We had large group for Christmas dinner at Mango Tree. We really enjoy the food and service here. Thai food was tasty and flavourful. Their service really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Went here for a birthday booking. As it was during the Christmas period, It was beautifully decorated. I had been wanting to come here for a long time as I love Thai cuisine. Overall, I found the whole experience to be underwhelming and mediocre which was very disappointing for myself and my guests. Food I would have to give a 5/10 Service 5/10, atmosphere 8/10. The starters for some came out cold, which we had to ask to be rewarmed. I had the shared starters minimum 2 persons. I was a bit disappointed that there was only one of each item offered on the selections of items. For the mains, I had no issues with. Dessert was divine. I will also add that there was no acknowledgement from the staff, or even a simple happy birthday message on my dessert. I'm not sure if this is something they just don't do or whether it's down to a lack of staff awareness as it was booked as a birthday booking. Overall, the place is "ok", I do believe this establishment is better equipped for a light meal/drinks. Its worth asking for cocktail drinks off menu as I wasn't wowed by their cocktail menu at all.

I and our group were underwhelmed for the price point. The coconut soup had a lot of mushrooms and very little chicken. That is usually my favorite at Thai restaurants but I didn’t even finish there. The atmosphere and service were good. The “large” wine was very small for 12 pounds. Overall will not be returning.

First the good….This restaurant is large and pretty inside. Very nice atmosphere. Most Thai restaurants are typically very small and basic but this was much nicer than most. The food was good, not great, in my opinion, for the prices….I started out with the Tom Kha soup which chicken. There was no chicken in mine but a HUGE portion of mushrooms! That really seemed to be the main ingredient. If you love mushrooms than it may be to your liking, but I would prefer less mushrooms and more chicken. I ordered a glass of wine, the “larger” pour and it was SO small, for 13 pounds…I would suggest beer or mixed drinks and steer clear of wine unless you plan to buy a bottle. The entrees were okay, nothing special, and I’ve had much better for way less $$$. We asked the waiter at the beginning if we could have separate checks, or pay separately if the bill was all together. He said no problem but then seemed a little frustrated when we needed to pay our checks because we all needed to pay separately. He did take care of us tho, and was polite and appreciative. Bottom line is ….if looking for atmosphere, and you don’t mind paying higher prices, this place may be for you!

Not as good as it looks. It's the first time I've been let down by the quality of Thai food, which is my favourite cuisine. The satay sauce had too many bits and the green Thai curry had very strong veg in there that ruined my taste buds. Atmosphere wasn't great either, felt like I was in a cold warehouse. Nevertheless I was happy it was halal.

Beautiful decor spoiled by loud music that does nothing to add to the ambience. As a table of 3 we found it difficult to talk but it was turned down after we asked twice. Food delicious and service great. Would be enhanced by subtle background music not the racket playing in both the bar and restaurant.

Went for a meal here this week. The service was really average, by that it was touches like the drinks being given to the right person and meals and needing to get people’s attention. It was ok but not top notch. Food was ok.

Avoid the dish involving duck. It is small, chewable, dry and simply disgusting. However the pad thai is quite delicious.

We had business lunch for 8 people and opted for luxury thai menu £50 ppn set menu plus drinks. Food is enough for all of us and it was tasty but the serving plate is not practical. We need to share each dish one plate for 4 people and the plates need to be passed around during our meal. Plate is large and heavy. There is enough space on the table to have smaller plates and they could have given one plate for 2/3 people to share not for 4 people. Not only for starter we had 2 plates to share for 8 of us but also for the main course. This doesn’t really work for business lunch, is not friends or family gathering and there is no rotating table. Perhaps for small group business lunch work but not really for more than 6 people. Sharing plater is lovely - beef salad, chicken satay prawn spring roll very nice Main course chicken green curry pad thai drunken noodle grilled chicken is amazing Please also check the take away, we did take away for the leftovers but we missing chicken curry and chicken grill…

Pleasantly surprised. My family took me there for my birthday. I was expecting it to be all "stuffy" considering where it is near Buckingham Palace. Staff friendly food delicious and the ambience was great. Highly recommend.

We had celebrated my mum's birthday, very impressed with authentic Thai food. We are Thai and rarely find Traditional Thai food. We are really enjoyed with all dishes we ordered, quality , atmosphere and service are excellent. We will be back again.

Food and service were excellent, great value too. Service was akin to a pricier establishment and staff seemed proud of what the restaurant offered. We had a great early meal before theatre, and would recommend.

This is one of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. I went here with my fiancé and friend for my birthday. o my God the food was amazing every dish was 10/10 I loved the green papaya salad. We had the luxury Thai set menu without soup. Everything was amazing even the desert and I’m not even a dessert person. The staff were very kind and amazing. Food was served quickly no long wait. We went on a quiet night but wow I am going again thats how amazing the food was!!

The food was very plain and average. I was disappointed with the food quality and the service too. Everything was extremely expensive and the portions were quite small. The staff wasn’t friendly (no smiling, no checking in to see if the food was alright etc.) Overall not a great experience and won’t be returning.

Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in London, with very decent environment and nice staff. The menu is less extensive than the original store in Bangkok, but still plenty of excellent choices. Highly recommended the Mango Platter with Steak and the red curry placed in a pineapple. Thai ice tea is also a very nice choices.

Extensive menu, friendly staff, and delicious food. The food with a drink added up quick so be prepared. The portions are large and we’ll worth a share. I had soup and she had the blue crab to start. Then, for the mains, we had pad Thai and drunken noodles (mild spice).

We dined here for my husband's birthday. First impressions are important to me, and Mango Tree didn't disappoint. The interior is crisp, clean, and presentable. I do love a restaurant you can dress up nicely for and not feel out of place. The ambience was perfect, with gorgeous pink blossoms hanging over the dining tables giving it that Far-Eastern touch. For starters, we ordered the soft shell crab, and the garlic & peppercorn squid. The presentation of the dishes was picturesque and very high-end. The crab was a bit on the salty side, but this was offset by the sauce that came with it. The squid was morish. For the mains, the lamb shank was tender, fall-off-the-bone, and the accompanying sauces were creamy and full of flavour. The poussin was cooked to perfection. The mocktails were refreshing. Overall, it was a great experience and reasonably priced for such a nice restaurant in the heart of central London. Great evening with great food.

Right in London, Victoria, a minute walk from Buckingham Palace ,restaurant is ideal, as well as the location, but the food is fair, service not that good, London prices.

Its always dry and tasteless. Service pretty slow. Literally even worse than the one in bangkok which at least has the river view. I live near here and only eat here under absolutely dire circumstances. Dont go somewhere the locals wont eat!!

First time Mango tree years ago Bangkok center,a shack, but food were execellent! Visited HK Element, place fancy, food not quite as original. Once again met in London, elegant place, tender service, execellent food much like BKk, shrimp chips crunchy, exceptional prawn salad, fish cake, satay, prawn rice noodle, mango fried rice, completed with great pairing rose’ …….. one best moment in London🥂🥂

An oldie but goodie. Having dined here over the last 20 years (each & every visit to London) - this restaurant still delivers an above average experience. We dropped in over lunch & tried their set menu (excellent value @ £30 for a 3 course meal + drink) & pleased to say that authentic delicious Thai food is the mainstay of this restaurant. Everything was delicious & beautifully presented. The manager Mr Anish was professional & helpful ensuring our group were well taken care of. An overall excellent experience - we’ll be back on our next trip!

My wife has dined at Mango Tree in the past based on her previous experience I decided to give it a try. I must say the location and atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely but the food was a massive let down. She even agreed the quality of the food wasn't the same compared to her previous visit. Only two out of the four starters were nice which was the satay chicken skewers and prawn spring roll. Duck spring roll and the fish cakes I can only compare it to your average local Thai takeaway standard. The beef salad was nice and has a little kick to it. Lamb shank was cooked to perfection but the gravy just didn't hit the spot for me. Lamb chops cooked exactly how we asked but all you can taste was lime... The dessert pretty much made up for the lackluster starter and main.

Amazing food served here. Reminded us of our trip across South East Asia. Staff were friendly and greeted us with a warm smile. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food was nice, but i found it expensive for the quality of food. I have paid much less in other restaurants. Was great that they had a happy hour. Again, drinks were average. I dont think I'll be back anytime soon.

Mango Tree has been a Belgravia staple and still delivers great food and attentive service. The set menu for 4 was extremely generous and every dish was fantastic. They accommodated all our dietary requirements including a severe nut allergy. The staff and management were excellent and patient as we were there till late. They accidentally gave me an alcoholic cocktail instead of the mocktail I ordered hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

As I have tried the restaurant branch in Bangkok, I would say there might be too much localisation that it’s slightly disappointing in term of authenticity, esp. with the consideration of mid/ high price segment. Overall, the food is good, but not yet outstanding!!! The drink presentation is good!! Maybe my expectations is too high !!!

This place has some pretty good food. We chose the 3 course for two. Soup was great. Drinks not so much.

I always wanted to come to Mango Tree but I must say that I was disappointed. The food was just Ok, nothing really special. We booked a table but we still had to wait nearly 30 minutes. The food portion was ok but the prices was really high. There are tons of Thai restaurants in London and this is definitely one that I will not be returning to. The decor is out dated and it was just full of people taking pictures of their food.

Friendly staff (more Indian than thai). Beautiful decor (more Japanese cherry blossom than thai). Food quite nice - Thom Kha soup was great, rest so-so, beer a bit poor. Nice looking bar. They should turn on aircon on stuffy hot days.

Amazing foods; crabs were v soft and savoury, chicken and pad thai was slightly spicier than I imagined but sweet, sweet and sour sam rod was also good but quite classic, and highly recommend the lamb curry which had v soft lamb and a unique flavour (curry)

Beautiful restaurant with food to match. Tasteful interior and even more tasty food. Very attentive waitstaff too. Highlight of the meal was prawn pad Thai - best pad Thai in London if not Europe. Highly recommend.

Really nice evening, made even lovelier by our waiter, Leslie, who took such good care of us the whole time. The food was exceptional and the food arrived in great time too! The chilli Virgin mojito is something I've been trying to recreate at home ever since!

We had eaten here before (a few years ago) when vegetarian and it was good. It has a vegan menu now (although the waiters kept referring to every dish as vegetarian when talking about them, which was unnerving). They got one dish completely wrong, and failed to bring us two dishes at all (although they didn’t charge for the either). When we explained this was why service charge was being removed they didn’t seem to really grasp that there were multiple issues. As per someone else’s comments about fish sauce I’ve got to say that one of the dishes tasted like it may have included some: in a vegan menu. So might still be problem Hard to trust.

The reason for my low review is because I used to love coming here and came after more then 10 years but it seems like nothing has changed. The decor was the same and hadn't been fixed and it felt very dull and old. For the prices that you are paying I was surprised that the venue was in this condition. The service however was really good, host was friendly upon arrival and leaving and everyone that served us was nice. The food was OK- nothing to write home about. Again a shame because it was so good before. You will definitely find a better Thai restaurant with better quality food.

We live in the United States and have eaten Thai food in lots of major cities and we get take-Thai food about once a week — and this was the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Absolutely fantastic. Pad Thai was glorious, the satay was tender and delicious, the curry was perfect. Not cheap, and not street food — but worth every penny.

Best Thai experience I've had in London yet! Downside is that they're super expensive. However, service was impeccable, atmosphere was fab, and the overall feeling was great. Duck spring rolls changed my outlook on duck forever!

Food is great but everything else is pretty awful. Kitchen closes at 9:15 even though it doesn't shut until 10:30. It's very very expensive. Be aware of that. Brought us our bill at 9:50 even though we didn't ask for it. Brought the card machine at 9:55 even though we didn't ask for it. We were basically forced to rush and it made me feel very uncomfortable. Great food but I won't be returning. Avoid.

Probably the best Thai food I have ever had but also the most expensive. Obviously you get what you pay for. Service also very good though, quick and staff pleasant so 5 stars.

We were humming ‘Underneath the Mango Tree’ from Dr No on our way to this restaurant expecting to be transported to a tantalising and exotic location like in the film but in a culinary sense. We weren’t disappointed. Food was excellent, service even better, perhaps the best service we’ve had in a long time (Abhiyash was an amazing server) and the ambiance on point. Best of all the entire menu was halal which is quite rare in Thai restaurants. Why not five stars? All of the excellence comes at a hefty price tag which is somewhat prohibitive - we were two people and ended up forking out £120 for starters, mains and dessert. Overall, well worth a visit! P.S. We’ve never been too fond of duck dishes but the duck here has really renewed our faith and shown that well cooked duck goes a long way.

We ordered green thai curry and the chicken was not fresh (seemed quite old). We asked them to replace it and it was the same again. Very disappointing!

I don’t even want to give them one star for the service. Staff without the training requires to run the restaurant. Food was ok but just ok😉 Just do not recommended and feel disappointed as I loved the one in Bangkok.

The staff were inattentive. It felt like they intentionally ignored you at times. The food was ok, but not amazing - I’ve had better. Overall, the experience was ok, but not one I would repeat. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Not what it used to be. Food was ok, but the ambience was very different to the Mango Tree of old, and not in a good way. Staff quite indifferent and one was actually rather sharp when asked about something on the menu. This used to be a firm favourite, but shall not be returning.

Last visit was on Valentine’s day, which in itself was enjoyable, however, nowhere was it stated that the only menu you were able to order from always the Valentine’s day menu, we had hoped to order from the regular menu as we enjoyed it on our previous visit, but were a little disappointed when we weren’t able to do that. However, in saying that, the valentines menu was a delight, not as filling or extravagant as the regular menu, but still was enjoyable. Slightly over priced for the size of portions served, but i believe that the price also includes the restaurant atmosphere and service, which a couple next to us appeared to have a problem with, but my partner and I had a delightful evening. Highly recommend the normal menu if you have the opportunity to visit Mango Tree.

I felt Mango Tree is an authentic slice of South East Asia in London's Belgravia. Very business like, contemporary and cosmopolitan interior with a mixture of Thailand-ish vibes and comfort setting. First time coming here due to my colleagues baby shower luncheon camaraderie, also it was my first business lunch I had in many months. We were 8 of us and all of us enjoyed the vibes in this place. So I ordered the Gai Jeerapan (Southern style grilled chicken marinated in coconut milk and Thai herbs. Served with homemade spicy Nam Jim Jaew sauce with Sticky Rice) and i tell you it was absolutely impeccable taste and all that for £12.95 if you don’t include drinks. Very reasonable prices especially in a posh Belgravia part of London. Must recommend!

We used to visit mango tree for many years and the food was always fresh and beautifully cooked. After a recent take away order I was SHOCKED. The food (if you can call it that) was absolutely disgusting chewy squid and dry chewy fish cakes. The prices went up the portions are tiny and the quality is lower than the cheapest Chinese take away. No flavor and it actually made me sick afterwards. I will never order from or visit this place again so disappointed ☹️

We booked our Valentine’s date in this restaurant after carefully studying the menu online and travelled for two hours by car to get to London and it was supposed to be a nice experience however after we were seated we saw the menus were not on the table and only a paper print with a special Vday menu which had limited options on: 3 starter 3 mains and one dessert for £59 pp. Apart from the steep price, us not liking any of the options on this limited menu meant what was supposed to be an amazing date turned into a disaster as soon as the waitress informed us there is no a la cart menu available for that day just the special limited menu. We said we were not made aware and we do not like any of the options on there and she was surprised to hear we were not aware and said someone was meant to call and inform us, this never happened. She went to ask her manager whom came to our table and very rudely said: can’t help this is all you can eat here today, basically take it or leave it, the way he spoke to us was not nice and he seemed irritated someone wasted his time by asking the normal menus. After this we decided to search for other restaurants available in the area, as it was late there was not many options and we ended up leaving this place and eating at 10pm in a restaurant that was absolutely not date worthy special occasion but we at least got to eat something we both enjoyed at more reasonable prices. Very disappointed by Mango trees service, attitude of the manager and them forcing a limited menu on people as they knew most will take it as they had no other options. Would never return or recommend this place. Ruined our Valentines Date night.

A fantastic restaurant serving a great selection of Thai dishes. The restaurant is larger but I would recommend booking as it can get very busy. I was given a window seat which looks out onto Grosvenor Place and it was nice to be in a peaceful restaurant whilst the busy street scene take place outside. Service was very quick and the team were all very polite and attentive. I had the chicken satays followed by the Lamb Shank massaman. Both were superb but the Lamb Shank was exceptional, a very generous portion, incredibly tender and amazing flavour. I would highly recommend Mango Tree to anyone who enjoys Thai food but wants to try something a little different

This is always our go to place for Thai. The ingredients are fresh and so well flavoured. Very generous portion sizes too.

NYE 2023 - set menu which was good value for money. Great taste all round and kore than enough food.. One vegetarian and one non-veg option. Great seating provided by Ashley (thank you ). Service was on point as were the drinks - complimentary champagne or mocktails (you choose). Portion sizes perfect and the salmon dish was very good ( think of salmon in a masala sauce - but not drowning ) .... Starters offered are essentially a platter of food (veg / non veg) which again were just right. DJ onsite from approx 0730 which at times overlapped the standard restaurant music. Great atmosphere with plenty of space and seating.... Would def recommend to anyone even if you only try it once...

The food was not as good as expected, and the portions is not worth the price. You will be able to get much better food in other Thai places in London. The drinks were good and original. I would say only drinks are worth going in, but then again you will be able to find similar level drinks and price in other London restaurants like P F Changs.

For a special occasion this is a great Halal Thai restaurant. The food was good as expected for the price. The mocktails were a little too expensive considering it's just juice and syrup + a few bits with no alcohol. The main reason for the 4 star was because we continuously saw 1 staff being rude and bullying another staff in front of our eyes. We heard him say "what about that don't you understand!" To another staff in a rude and patronising tone. He was also shouting at another staff. It's not nice to treat others like that in the first place and also especially in front of customers. Treat your workers well, and they will stay.

I reserved a table on Saturday evening with my girlfriend. We where looking for a nice looking Thai cuisine restaurant. The restaurant was quite cold and not well heated. The wine was served far too cold. They never looked after the bottle nore our Glases to refill the wine. The starter octopus was tasting very fishy the fish was not fresh at all. Rice was totally overcooked and felt like potato mesh. Instead of the description there was no Thai eggplant in the curry dish. And the curry was tasteless the meat inside totally overcooked.I expect more for this price service was non existent. I felt robbed for the price. Will never come back.
