My god this place is good, the cooking fresh ingredients rice cooked to perfection! The portions are ample and well worth the money .

Order: Bbq spare ribs Beef curry with boiled rice Egg fried rice with curry sauce Chicken balls Large spring roll Fried beef Cantonese style Salt and Peper crispy chicken Well what can I say the food didn't stay on the plate long enough for it to cool, it was that good. Hands down one of the best takeaways we've had. And the price, all that for £35 you can't go wrong. Will be back again soon. Just to add that the owner Andy was a very pleasant man and a very good conversationalist.

No answer when called, drove to order to be told come back in an hour. Drove back in an hour to then sit for 45 mins waiting. Food not very warm, missing poppadoms. Very disappointed. Would not recommend

Ordered from here whilst away on a break with my other half. The food was absolutely delicious. Good value for money, it was piping hot and every single thing we had was spot on! My chap even said it was the best chinese he had ever had and I really had to agree with him! Definitely recommend if you are visiting the area.

I ordered our meal by phone it was ready at that time , it was hot ,, very tasty and well cooked, the price was excellent for the ammount ordered (6 people) We will use this place again.

Good quality, clean food. Particularly liked the salt and pepper King prawns. Just the right amount of batter on the sweet and sour chicken. Although the sauce could do with more flavour. Rather neutral.

Ordered by phone at 5 40. Told it would be ready at 6.25. Arrived to be met by a very smart gentleman in shirt and tie. My order was ready for me. The items were packed in the bag with cardboard in between to keep them secure. Food was amazing, very hot and fresh, very tasty. Excellent value and great service If I visit Garnant again I will definitely be visiting this take away 🙂

By far, the best Chinese in the area. Never a bad meal. Fantastic food, great prices, sometimes a wait for your order, but not surprising as it's so popular due to the excellent dishes and friendly staff.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, I read the reviews and thought we were in for a treat . I don’t know why people think this Chinese is the best around. They clearly haven’t travelled far. The special foo young had NO prawns or pork as stated on the menu it consisted mainly of chicken and bean sprouts , the chips were cold and hard and were a struggle to get down. We ordered and paid for fried rice with our chicken curries and got boiled and the curry itself was tasteless. If it wasn’t so far to return we would ohave taken the lot back. Awful

Lovely clean take away. Only bought 2 portions of chips. But they were lovely. Will be back again.

Had manford house last night was lovely on the whole my only gripe was probably the chow mein I'd ordered chicken when I opened it I didn't even recognize the dish so much veg on top real lack of meat mostly mushrooms bean sprouts and water chestnuts as a result my noodles didn't real like they had been wok cooked it was slimey was best descriptive word I could use which was disappointing really when the rest of my meal ribs rice Hong Kong chicken crispy beef was really good

Everyone local knows about Manford House.. best Chinese in the area. If you know, you know. Try the Special fried rice, crispy beef, bbq sauce and chips. It will change your life.

The portions have been almost halved. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I ordered enough for our family and then found out there wasn’t enough for us all. Cheap rice and noodles as would be expected but anything that contained meat has been trimmed down by a third of the contents. Very unhappy.

Best Crispy Beef and Plain Chow Mein in the area. Also their sweet and sour chicken balls are light and not too chewy. Very fast too.

What a refreshing experience! Served by a courteous gentleman who was totally charming. The veg in the Vegetable satay was fresh and obviously hand cut, delicious. The best Chinese in miles.

It is hard to express the strong feelings I have for this food. It is so good it is enough to make a grow male cry. I happily travel 3.2 miles to have the house special chow mein. There are many closer options for a chinese but none of quite high the quality that the Manford house delivers. Speaking of delivering, the biggest issues with this restuarant is they do not deliver or offer a sit in option. This can be troublesome for anyone without a car or does not already like in Glanaman. However, if you can get there and back home in good time the food is well worth the struggle

Lived in betws, ammanford, Llandybie and now glanaman. Manford House has been consistently the best over a 25yr span.

I regularly call here for food . Could recommend many of the house specials . The down side ( if you can call it that ) is that its so popular you sometimes have to wait a while for your food.. But its well worth the wait

Used to rate this place very very highly, however the last couple of times I’ve visited it has left me very disappointed. Everything is very greasy and bland, as per title, service is as always polite and efficient, but I can’t help feeling something has changed recently. Alas after one too many disappointments I shan’t be visiting again.

tried this takeaway for the 1st time last night after reading reports and was very happy with the result, it was very busy but that is a good indication of how popular the food actually is. we ordered a few dishes and were not disappointed with anything we had all food was lovely and hot, fresh crunchy veg and chicken was proper pieces and tender, very polite service from the owner i think ? behind the serving counter. we lifted a menu upon leaving and we will be very sure to return, we would like to recommend this takeaway to all. :)

Want a bland tasteless meal go hear, messed up chips, rice, omelette and even a brown water curry sauce, gutted my usual closes Tuesday after tasting this I highly recommend if you looking for good Chinese keep driving up road to the raven l there customer service is rubbish but their food leaps and bounds better than manford house. Rant over time to try and finish this meal.

Best Takeaway in The Amman Valley

Not only was our order perfect but we were received with such friendliness that it seemed we were old customers instead of visiting for the first time. The menu was extensive and the prices were fair. Lovely meals. We will certainly revisit.

Arrived home after a 5 hour drive from Dorset. No food in the house so an order from Manford House was on the cards.

Spent over £45 on a family meal, disgusting ! soggy pancake rolls, overpowering ginger flavor, chewy vegetables, spare ribs - you could have bought a pig at these prices , over £1 per rib ! absolute rubbish !

You always know what your getting from this place. Quality only seems to dip on busy days, like Friday and Saturday. That being said, I enjoy the food.

Been ill twice now after getting a takeaway here, won't be using them again!

House special fried rice is to die for, don’t order anything else it’s a waste of money, all you need is that. Andy is a top class bloke but speaks a bit quick.

Their Chinese food is the best I have tasted, I've spoken to friends and family who will travel 10-15 miles away, because the food is so good. Moreover Mary and Andy are very friendly and kind people, and have been in Glanamman for years. Please do not retire yet! Glanamman will miss you!!!

The food here is always good. The family run takeaway attracts customers from all over the area. Busy times on weekend nights and closed on Wednesday. Great menu to chose from.

Many years ago the food in this place was great, now it a shadowy of its former self, watery mush and although have gave them a go a few weeks ago it was still " bland"

For us as a family it does not get better, yes it is busy on weekends and hard to get through, but that only says it all how popular it is hence the top food!! There is plenty of selection and it does not matter how crazy it is the food is always warm and of a very high standard and very taste. We would not go anywhere else can highly recommend.

By far the best takeaway in the Glanamman area in my opinion, spot on from Andy and an easy five star review.

Always busy and not surprised as food is delicious , we've tried all the other Chinese take aways in the area ( raven, ling di long, happy corner, lotus, Cwmgors ) and this place knocks spots off them food is fresh, fresh meats used not frozen as many of the others use. Cash only but don't worry if you forget, place your order, go get cash and Andy will let you pay when you pick it up, our faves are crispy beef, house special chow mien, and beef in black bean sauce. Onion rings are to die for!! I challenge you to try and get home before trying one.
