Man Lee in Lisburn

I ordered chicken fried rice. I was shocked and angry to find it was swimming in gravy which I certainly didn't ask for. Gross!! The dog got the chicken, while the bin got the rest!

Unfortunately the sweet and sour sauce was sub par, tasted like watery BBQ. The lemon sauce was also very disappointing, far below the standard we normally have. Won’t be back, cannot recommend.

Food was good ,, portions small, very expensive for a takeaway .

First time for a takeaway, and it was purely down to a diversion off my normal route. Very busy, so that was a good sign. Food came quickly due to a large number of people working in the kitchen. Travelled well (10 miles) stayed warm and was very tasty. The only minute issue was I asked for chicken curry and should have asked for breast meat. I will return.

Absolutely over priced!! £4 for a portion of fried rice! Seriously? My order of 2 x fried rice, 2 x sweet n sour sauce and a portion of onion rings was £18! Could get a full meal and 2 sides in most other establishments for that price.Onion rings had basically no onion and batter was stodgy. Definitely less value and over priced compared to most Chinese takeaways. Definitely won't order from here again.

Gone so badly downhill. Horrible, bland and tasteless food. Shadow of what it used to be. Speaks volumes that it was practically empty at dinner time on a weekend. Clear to see why. Avoid

Went to order chilli chicken and chips and beef curry fried rice told me it was £21.50. I said it's only 9.00 for chilli chicken and 8.50 for beef curry they told me that you have to buy the chips and rice separate as price not the meal. Told them to forget it and won't be back. So over priced. JOKE

Have always wanted to try this Chinese, I live far to far away to travel to get a takeaway but tonight I was passing by and thought I'd stop for my tea.. I ordered spring roll which was ok and honey chilli beef and fried rice. The beef was stodgy, completely tasteless and over priced. Needless to say I'll not be back.

Would not recommend this chinise at all ordered a meal salted chilli chicken rice and chips, portion of ribs and curry came to £36. Driver came an hour n half later with wrong order and didn’t bother to change or help when phoned back. Paid £36 for a £15 order which was also completely wrong. Stay away folks

Complete joke paid 36 pound for a delivery ordered rice chips ribs and salted chilli chicken got 4 pieces of chicken my chips were burnt i rang the chinese to complain and the woman was very rude over the phone and didn’t have anything to say she just said about closing and ended the phone

Order by phone, big order all perfect Best beef curry in a long time ribs a little touch to BBQ sauce, chicken, and sweet corn soup was excellent all in all a good experience

Would do zero star if possible. Cheeky staff, Wrong order. Had to drive back to get the right order. The owner wanted to charge me for the right order again to replace it. first of all until the other girl on the till said it was a wrong order. The owner refused to give me the right order without giving in the old one which had tried to see what it was. They probably wanted it back to sell to another customer. My other half went in. The staff were argumentative with disgusting attitude. Admitted to wrong order but the handling of the order was poor. What they should have done is give the right order out even offer to have it delivered as a gesture of good will.

Delicious authentic Chinese dishes and excellent delivery service. Good value with large amount of meat and veg in every dish to share with family. Our fav is peking chicken with leg meat no-batter and beef satay

It's the only place I know there's a very good beef curry I've been to Crumlin I've been to glenavy so if you want a good takeaway that is the place to go

Very disappointing takeout. The BBQ ribs were burnt black and unappealing. The sweet and sour chicken balls were over-cooked so they were dry and unpleasant to eat. The boiled rice was not cooked enough so was dry, hard and inedible. As a result half of our order was consigned to the bin. We will not be using this place again.

Excellent take away, staff always pleasant, food excellent, perhaps a little pricier than your average Chinese Takeaway but you get quality food and worth that little extra. Please

Greasy food , batter hard on sweet n sour, clearly re fried to within an inch of its life! Portion sizes have reduced, disappointing.This was always a favourite but won't be back.

Good, tasty grub, and usually very quick service as well. Can get very busy Friday and Saturday evenings.

Fantastic Chinese! You really need to try this place! Ordered the Chicken Breast Curry & Chicken Breast Chow Mein. Both dishes where very generous and tasted really good. Only reason for the 4 and not 5 stars is for some bizzare reason they put gravy on the Chow Mein which should be a 10 year prison sentence... would advise calling your order in as they are usually very busy. Will definitely be back.

Great food and friendly service

My husband and I have been regular customers of Man Lee since the 1980s and the food is consistently yummy and well presented for a takeaway. Despite it being exceptionally busy (obviously because it's great!), Peter and his staff are always very friendly, chatty and provide good service. Any time we have tried another Chinese takeaway, we have been disappointed and return to Peter's. It might be a little dearer than other Chinese takeaways, but definitely worth it. Thanks for 40 years of great food and service.

Cannot understand any reviews less than 5 stars. All staff very friendly including the man himself and food was excellent.

My daughter placed an order and was charged an extortionate amount. As their prices have increased recently she just assumed it was due to that. Before driving off we checked the order and it was incorrect. This could have been due to masks/mishearing as from listening to the staff discuss what had happened we deduced the order had been copied down incorrectly. It happens. However, as mentioned, this is what we deduced, other than barking “what did you order” at us, nobody acknowledged us or the mistake. We were then given our new order with a bag of prawn crackers and a very begrudging “sorry.” I waited a few moments before having to ASK for the change due. There was an issue the last time my daughter ordered also; twice she asked about her order having waited more than 30 minutes and was told it wouldn’t be much longer before asking again and being told her order had been lost. Will be unlikely to be back.

Got food from here often, but today’s was very disappointing. Sweet and sour sauce was more like thin tomato ketchup, and the chicken was slimy. Won’t risk it again!

I haven't been here lately but can I say without reservation the food and service has always been first-class.I lived in Lisburn most of my life and then my Mother passed away 😢 in 2016. So our family 👪 was uprooted and we all went on to live separate lives but I cannot take away the wonderful memories.The infamous Chicken Curry,the Pork Fillet,the wonderful 👏 King Prawns in salted 🌶 chilli.This establishment is a National Treasure and will always be fondly remembered in my life ❤!

Every so often when I stay at my granny's, she'll get me a chicken curry from Man Lee and I love it! It's so good that I often can't stop eating it even when I'm full and end up feeling quite bloated but it's definitely worth it.

Disgusting got a chicken curry if you don't pay extra for breast meat it comes with slimey dirty looking pieces of chicken that's not even mixed in with the curry sauce, chips were definitely heat ups from the previous day and the salt chilli chicken you could of broke your teeth on...never again what a waste of money to put in the bin and not cheap either

I normally go for the Sliced Breast of Chicken with peas onions and gravy. I can thoroughly reccomend the food really fresh tasty and cooked to perfection. Well done Man Lee a feast fit for a king

I have had meals before that they were great,this last one was not so good I had king prawn curry there was only 6prawns and the onion wasn't copper enough,wouldn't buy this again as I don't think it was worth the money that's byhe reason for three stars

Had the special fried rice with the gravy separate & my much better half had sweet & sour chicken Cantonese style. Both were delicious & huge portions. Actually even after we both were full there is enough left for a good lunch tomorrow 😋. We will both definitely be back again & probably sooner than we really should be 😊.

This is the perfect Chinese takeaway. I love the chicken curry, beef chow mein, gravy chips, salt chilli ribs, satay chicken & honey chilli chicken. We love this Chinese and would order twice a month at least 😂

Recent order was a Special Fried Rice. Previously have tried their Honey chilli chicken. Overall, find their food to be solid. Nothing too special. Agree with other reviewers that chips are hit and miss.

Love the salt and chilli chips and the French toast in syrup it's definitely my wee treat. Handy to wear I live can pre order by phone and collect 10/15 mins later. Can be very busy at weekends but that shows the food quality

El Hombre Lee ha sido siempre una mina discontinuas de la comida china. Algunos de sus platos son, de lejos, el mejor en Lisburn comida para llevar. Lo que realmente le defrauda es las patatas fritas. A veces son perfectamente cocinado y a veces son una pasada desordenadas. Este es el recibimiento fuera de Tesco supera incuestionablemente.

Mi familia y yo hemos estado recibiendo comida todos con demasiada frecuencia del hombre Lee durante décadas, y es consistentemente estupendo de tarifa.

I have lived in Lisburn for 24 years, and I can't believe I have never had a take away from here before. Well worth the wait it was very tasty, we had chicken chowmein, beef green pepper and black bean sauce, chicken curry and a beef curry. What impressed me the most was the fact that the chicken was proper chicken not processed as you can sometime get in other take always!!! My new fav take away.

I & my family have been getting food from here for decades and believe it is one of the best in Lisburn. They serve the standard fare for a Chinese carry-out. Portion sizes have always been good (better than most in the area) and they always pack the food with flavour. If there ever has been a problem, the staff have been more than helpful in rectifying it.

Our family have been getting from Man Lee Chinese for over 10 years, it's our first choice for take-out. Foods lovely, never any complaints. My favourite is Salted Chilli Chicken or Pork Fillet & chips :))

Recently ordered from yourselves waited 1 hour 20Mins on a delivery by the time food got to us it was freezing and also had to pay for a big delivery charge even tho I live one mile alway disgrace

We use Man Lee often it has an extensive menu. The portions are huge and one meal is more than enough for the 2 of us. It can get very busy at times but well worth the wait.

Great chinese, we use Man Lee on a regular basis. The curry chips and salted chilli chips are awesome!Their special curry is pretty good too which is more than enough for 2 people to share. Their menu has a large variety as well.The only downside is it can be exceptionally busy at the weekends and the menu is quite expensive compared to other chinese's but you do get what you pay for.

Having now tried the majority of chineses in Lisburn I personally believe Man Lee is hands down the best. I would highly recommend the special chop suey, excellent.

Being going to the Man Lee for about a year now. The service is quick and the food is lovely. Highly recommend it.

We ordered for four. It was the first time I'd been and I was told it was the go - to Chinese in Lisburn that seemed well out of Lisburn. I wasn't impressed as I don't like being ripped - off and when I saw the takeaway prices here that was my first thought. I expected to get a darn good, if not a stunning meal. No. I got a just above average meal. I ordered king Prawn salted chilli & boiled rice described on the menu as dry. It was a soggy unpleasant mess inside (see picture) in a round shaped tin. At a stonking £7.40 I got 10 plump king prawns surrounded by lightly fried onions to bulk out the meal. I mean there had to be an entire medium onion in the dish, just as well they contain natural penicillin and are good for you but not a single slice of fresh red chilli to be seen. If the price was £1 less it would be closer to a reasonable price but I tell you what I think if I put this in front of the owners I'd be surprised if they'd eat it. If this is the go - to place then the folks of Lisburn have my sympathies. The meal for four was £35 the same meal in a 20 mile radius of where I live would be about £10 less. I'd rate my usual Chinese takeaway as three star too. The staff at Man Lee were friendly for the brief time we were there to collect and the 'free' small prawn cracker portion were the better quality variety but at these prices they should be Thai crackers. Finally why is it that takeaway Chinese prices jumped over 20% when oil and gas prices shot up and now they've gone back by 60% there's no cure sounding price drop?

Best Chinese in Lisburn... excellent value for money. Try their honey chilli chicken ... you will not be disappointed!
