No volveré.

We went here with friends for a birthday. Cocktails are nice, staff are friendly, belly dancer was fun. It's a quirky place. Starters/meze were delicious, sadly the main course wasn't great (mixed grill). The bill was reasonable so we left feeling ok about our evening! If we returned I'd stick to the meze....

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience at Maison touareg.
We booked through opentable and were contacted the next day to confirm our booking
We arrived twenty minutes early for our booking on the night, but were seated straight away.
Our waiters were all extremely friendly, chatty and helpful; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. Everything was tasty, freshly prepared and (in our opinion) authentic. My husband recommends the harissa - with everything!
I got up and danced with the belly dancer, which was great fun.
We also sampled the shisha lounge as part of our experience.
I would fully recommend this restaurant to anyone up for a fun time, who are willing to throw themselves into the experience.
We will definitely be back for more!

A restaurant in the heart of Soho with low standards. Service is good, not extraordinary. It looks like it doesn't come naturally from the members of staff. Food ? Honestly, I had better tasting food from a kebab shop in the middle of nowhere. There is no wow factor to it and the high prices definitely don't match the poor quality. Drinks were ok to wash down the food. Overall, waste your time and money with other options. Would I go back ? With so many better choices, absolutely not.

MORE AT OpenTable

A horrible little place that gave no care or attention to us. We were seated downstairs (where you couldn't comfortably get your legs under the table without taking your shoes off) and given menus. The some stroppy girl put Shishas on the table and went back to hide behind the bar where she spent most of her tame rearranging straws which was clearly more important than serving anyone. We were then given the belly dancing show which was okay but not great and after she finished we had received no service. We asked a waiter to take our order and he got so confused that he had to ask the manager twice before taking our order and then proceeded to forget all about us. We waited and after being in there for over an hour we had to ask yet another waitress over to take our order and order some drinks. By this time it was gone 9pm and we were very hungry and thirsty and I fortunately had a small packet of peanuts in my bag to share between 9 of us. Eventually 3 of us received starters but another 20 mins later we received a pitifuly small platter which we were told was for the rest of us. By this time tempers were fraying and we complained much to the amusement of the first waitress behind the bar whose attitude had been getting steadily worse and she made no attempts to hide the fact that she thought that the whole thing was very funny. We were told that the manager would ignore the charge for the first starters and send some more. A very long time later they arrived still with little enough to feed us but we were so hungry and I have to say it was passable but no way was justified in what they charged. We had to ask another two times for our drinks which we were told the manager was making himself. They then turned up in plastic jugs like the ones at a kiddies party and these so called cocktails were disgusting, watery and undrinkable. We said we wanted the bill and just wanted to get out of there. They then produced a bill of £410.00 which we refused to pay and the manager brought his bouncer downstairs clearly to intimidate us and said that he would take £100 off of the bill and he thought that this was generous. We had been basically ignored and ripped Off and fobbed off. We felt we had no choice but to pay and leave as this had spoilt the whole evening and we were still very hungry. My advice - Don't go there.

This place is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food is revolting and severely overpriced. Each of the dishes were tiny and we left the restaurant still starving and with a much lighter wallet. All of the dishes we ordered looked like food for toddlers with portion sizes to match. We ordered chicken shawarma, which was a piece of old pita bread from Tesco with some carved up BBQ chicken. Ours even came with a huge (about 1 inch long) sharp chicken bone that cut the inside of my mouth open. When I informed the manager, he was super rude informing me that a giant shard of chicken bone was the norm for shawarma. Despite requesting we not pay for this dish, the manager was extremely rude and acted like a child, insisting he would offer no discount and we should be impressed with the dirt we were served up. Stay well clear of this awful place!

I decided to treat my wife to a pre-theatre dinner at Maison Touareg and booked a table. Was pleased with the decor, lighting, ambience and our seats. The staff were pleasant and we ordered from the menu. I ordered a pineapple juice and shortly after was brought a tasteless diluted pale liquid which clearly was not fresh pineapple juice one would expect, with 3 ice cubes. I took this back and asked for a diet coke as a replacement. I ordered houmous with lamb shawarma for starters, what arrived was slightly warm, tough rubbery pieces of lamb sitting on top of some decent houmous. Anyway, chicken tagine for my main and chicken shawarma for my wife. Having been to Marrakesh two years ago and eaten beautiful authentic tagines, I was expecting something deliciously similar. What I was presented with was a dish that resembled a warm chicken soup, nothing like I have ever eaten and a far cry from a traditional Moroccan tagine, a huge disappointment. Boiled chicken heated up which was clearly not fresh. I also tried some of my wife's chicken shawarma, warm and bland, nothing like the shawarma I've eaten before in Edgware Road or anywhere else. My wife tried the unconvincing, "it's nice", so as to not offend me for treating her to dinner, then expressed her disappointment to me. The bill came to a total of £48, yes £48. We put on our coats and rushed out to see the theatre show.

It does not take much for a restaurant to turn a bad experience into something positive.

After a waiter clumsily knocked an entire glass of white wine all over me, the last thing I was expecting was for the restaurant to charge me for the wine! We decided on this place as we were visiting London and wanted to meet friends who lived there. My partner is from morocco and we thought it would be a nice treat to have Moroccan food. We got there and no one that worked there was remotely Moroccan. We ordered drinks off the specialty menu and the waitress looked at us like we were speaking another language. It took a very long time for the drinks to arrive and then they came back to the table to take them back because they told us they forgot one ingredient. The food was bland and just ok. Definitely not true Moroccan spices. Overall I would say if you want a true Moroccan experience steer clear of here.

We booked a table at Maison Touareg for my friend's birthday last week, really looking forward to trying some (recommended) Moroccan food. When we walked in (on time) the waitress at the door started preparing a table downstairs, 10 minutes later another waiter came up to tell us that they had fully booked out the restaurant and he had tried to call us once earlier in the day but there was no response. Being in the centre of London at 8pm on a Saturday, it took us a while to find somewhere else to eat. I cannot comment on the food, drink or ambience but the organisation was terrible and the member of staff we spoke to was neither polite nor apologetic.

We came for dinner after a show, having booked the table a week or so in advance. They didn't have the table ready but pushed several tables together so we could sit down. The menu is really quite big - I can imagine it is overwhelming if you don't know what to order. Fortunately there were six of us so we decided to go for the Moroccan Feast, which is a variety of mezzes, tagines, couscous and baklava and tea to finish. A really nice selection of items and the best way to try a bit of everything in my opinion. The restaurant is big (over a main floor and a basement) but pretty cramped, even without tables being moved for a belly dancer. It was also quite loud and we were near the kitchen so was quite hard to hear conversation at times so would recommend you specifically ask for a quieter table, especially if there's anyone in your party who is hard of hearing.Good wine / beer / cocktail list and of course the restaurant is in a great central location, with easy access to theatres and the tube station. Would visit again.

None had a wow about them for any of us but we're nice enough. The main courses of grills, tagines and fish again were more of the same.

You had to book for a weekend evening. It got packed quite early on. Very friendly staff. Menu was traditional and there were enough options to keep my veggie friend happy. Prices were very reasonable for West End which, let's be honest can be paying a city price but without the quality. We all enjoyed this place a lot and would go back again.

A second visit and still very good in all ways. We were in a large group which can be difficult to serve (especially after the wine starts flowing!) but our waitress was excellent, even joining in with the jokers at the table. I would definitely recommend.

We were here early (before the theatre) on a Friday and were easily accommodated without a reservation, although the restaurant did get busy later on. There is also a downstairs dining area. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very tasty. A very interesting digestif offered of Baileys with coffee ice cubes (to be recommended!)

The service was very good and although we had an early booking the restaurant had a nice ambiance. We had the mezzo for two which was tasty and very filling. The only downside was they did not have lime cordial for a lime and soda but offered freshly squeezed lines in soda.

I am not an expert of Moroccan cuisine, so I cannot say it was authentic, but I can say for sure it was awasome! the reastaurant is not very big, but very nice, well furnished in accordance with the moroccan style.the waitress who served us was incredibly kind, she went through all the menu with us to explain all the dishes and recommended the best ones to try.there was also a belly dancer who did a short performance and who contributed to let us feel as we were in Morocco.the restaurant is in Soho, so in a very good position as well Prices in line with london's ones, but you can rest assured the quality of food deserves what you pay.

I met with friends for a pre theatre dinner. Their sharing platters are great. Services was fantastic and quick allowing us enough time to enjoy our meal before going to the theatre. The food was very good. The place was rather empty at the time we were there, but we did not mind as we had a fun table. Great windows to the street for people watching. Some outdoor seating.

Stopped here before we went to the theatre across the road.Fancied something differant. It feels authentic, the decor etc, however it was almost empty when we went so lacked the obvious atmosphere of a busy place. Maybe some authentic music playing a little louder would help that, as we could barely hear any music at all, and it wasn't morrocan .The food service was ok, not too long a wait, and the menu choices were good too. The food was tasty, and average sized portions. We felt overpriced for what we had. The overall disappointment was the staff attitudes.A girl sat us down and continued to serve throughout, however it was her total lack of a smile, or friendly words, she offered nothing, almost robotiic, and abrupt .It added to the cold atmosphere of the place. The bill came to £55 and all we drunk was a diet coke each. No desserts, had it been a nice experience with warmth and atmosphere I could almost accept the overpriced bill as being central London , just begrudge paying it when it's not been a comfortable experience. Couldn't leave quick enough.

Went for a birthday party, got a rather large table in the basement. Save the service only and the kind belly dancer. The starters were scanty. The mains were poor in quantity, cold half of them, and disappointing quality wise. The only thing to save is the beer--do not drink anything else! If we had seen the huge cock roach before we paid, we would have probably just walked out of it. Waste of time and money.

Had a delicious meal here, beautifully flavoured, but found the service a little frustrating. Despite not being overly busy, they managed to get the order wrong (which resulted in an extra 20 min wait after our mains were first brought out) and then the addition of an extra main to our bill. The staff were very apologetic about both incidences and as I say the food was delicious, but I just felt that considering the central London prices charged (additional service charge automatically included) service should have been smoother.

Locale carino internamente.

we went here as part of my hen dinner. we got an entire corner downstairs to ourselves in a kind of chill out lounge area with low seating and tables. the atmosphere was really nice with great arabic chill out music. the food was amazing (way more than we could finish). the staff were all really nice, from the ease of booking, asking questions, to the table staff on the day who were really lovely and also let us swap a few items on the set menu as we were a fussy bunch. there was also a belly dancer and some of us got up and joined in! we even played games here, we played a hen night pass the parcel and the setting is great for stuff like that cos its so chilled. the staff were great and just helped us clean up all the paper. all in all, every one of us loved our time here, and would highly recommend the food, staff, location and chill out lounge downstairs. thanks maison touareg for making it a great night!

We found the restaurant very easily on Greek St. The decor is very traditional Morrocan with the sofas with plush cushions and the lamps.
We opted for non alcoholic cocktails which hit the spot right as it was very hot that evening and they were perfectly chilled. We chose two mezze dishes each which was perfect as we only had an hour before our play started. Overall the service was excellent and it was reasonably priced.

We went here as part of my daughter's hen party and it was great fun. We had a belly dancing lesson and show and then a meal. The staff were very friendly and the meal was superb - absolutely loads of food. A bit annoying that a service charge was added of over £80 at the end of the evening which hadn't been budgeted for. I'm really fed up with this assumption that a service charge is added. The cost of service should be part of the meal and if you're really happy with it, leave a tip, which I invariably do.

This is one of the great restaurants in Soho. Perfectly located for a quick bite before going to the theatre or out to the clubs. The food is authentic and tasty. We had the kibbeh pumpkin, chicken shawarma and lamb tagine on our visit. While the shawarma seems a little dry it was flavorful and the lamb was drop off the bone tender. My husband who is Lebanese loved the kibbeh, saying that it tasted just like the traditional homemade recipes of his youth. The only problem I have with this restaurant is the hookah bar downstairs often has the door left open (it's where the toilets are located) so you often get the smell of tobacco while eating, something I do not find appetizing.

A great spot for people watching on Old Compton Street. We had a fish tagine (tender, tasty and spicy) and a chicken grill with pitta bread (like you'd get in your local kebab shop but in DIY form)This food would have been deserving of four stars in a lower priced restaurant (of which there's many in the suburbs) but you are paying theatre land prices here.

I booked this as my preferred choice was fully booked and I love Middle eastern food. This sounded great on paper. The interior is tatty but in an authentic way the service acceptable but nothing other than minimal and not the usual warmth of this genre of restaurant. We shared mezzes. Two vegetarian, two meat. The hot food wasn't that warm. The portions were ok but in general disappointing in flavour and we didn't finish it (unusual for us!) My friends ordered a pitcher of cocktail but couldn't drink it as it tasted too sweet ( like it was made from a packet rather than from fresh). The one lavatory was pretty tatty too and by the time we were finishing (and people were coming in to the basement for the nightclub) they were very dirty, water and loo roll everywhere. So all in all disappointing.

I wouldn't normally write a negative review but I felt that as a Londoner I don't want to see visitors to my city being over charged. The food is a generic Moroccan/Lebanese mix, I've eaten better in restaurants around the Edgware Road . The waitress was pleasant and the interior of the restaurant plush. Our problem was with the pricing on the menu which we found misleading and ended up being charged double to what we expected. There were four of us and it seemed strange that we all got this wrong and when we queried it were told unquestioningly that this was the final price. Read the menu very carefully, esp. check the sharing menus very expensive for what you get.

I had the first part of my hen do here on Saturday and it was amazing.I found booking the venue to be really easy, Naz was really nice and got back to me really quickly. She was very patient with my ever changing numbers! The venue itself was lovely. I've been here and love the food and cocktails and I wasn't disappointed at all. We were able to sit in the downstairs area so it was an exclusive little party. We received excellent service, the staff were so helpful and polite and kept asking if we were ok, not minding our shrieks and giggles. What I really liked is that the drinks kept coming! We had a belly dancer join us for a bit and she was also lovely, she got the majority of my hens up and dancing which must have been quite difficult!I thought the food was excellent value, there was a great mix and it was beautifully presented. The staff allowed my bridesmaids in early to decorate.I enjoyed it so much I would do it all again!

We stumbled upon this place while walking thru Soho. The windows were all open creating a very welcoming atmosphere. We were pleased to be sat inside but next to an open window. The only downside to the seating was that there are tables set up outside - along the perimeter of the restaurant - for customers wishing to enjoy smoking (shish/hookah). Personally, I don't enjoy smelling smoke while I am eating. The service was excellent from the wait staff. The food was pretty good but seemed a little lacking on Moroccan spices. The baclava was fantastic.

Fun night out with friends at Maison Toureg. The highlight was the lamb with apricots and cous cous for 2. We shared for 3 and still was too much -although we did have starters, the chicken pastilla and the falafel were particularly delicious and the halloumi a disappointment as it was a tiny amount on pita breads. We also had some cocktails, they were ok but not spectacular. Our waiter was really attentive and nice. The belly dancer was great entertainment and do not worry she will not force you out to dance. We had mint tea as well to finish but no room for desserts after that amazing lamb. A lovely night at £40 per head including wine.
