Madhu's Heathrow in Hillingdon

We were a large party of 10 and we were all seated together comfortably. The mixed grill was nicely cooked but was very spicy be warned - perhaps too spicy. The pani puri wasn't great and tasted slightly stale. The main courses were better, especially the lamb which was very tender and a good portion. Service was ok but not very attentive - had to follow up on the odd drinks orders. Overall food was average but for us slightly over priced but convenient if are staying at the hotel

My wife and I were looked after by Peter who made the best recommendations for the type of food we were interested in trying. The Palak Patta Chaat is a winner for the best starter dishes. Great food, superb service and classy ambience made our evening very special.

Tasty food but not value for money. For the price paid, the portion is very small and has decreased significantly over time. Prices are ok if you're a hotel guest and are expecting to pay higher prices. But it's not value if you're in a large party. There are equally as tasty fine dining indian restraurants at a fraction of the price

I have seen madhu”s on tv and bin there once before, it’s over rated just because of their award, the meat cuts where the worst I have seen, service was so bad, went for 50th it was like they didn’t even care , just because a place has a award and well known doesn’t mean the food it going to good, I never write reviews before spent nearly £2000 in there it was awful wouldn’t recommend it to no one , it was the worst meat cuts full of fat and undercooked, manager was not willing to compromise such a bad experience!

We have just been to visit today and had a truly shocking, sour and very disappointing experience. Actually can’t believe how any restaurant, let alone one of this calibre can deliver such poor service. We were visiting London for a week and had planned to visit Madhus and pre booked in advance for Friday night. We were looking forward to the meal having not eaten much in the day. We arrived and there was a warm welcome, but then it went downhill. I had ordered chicken and lamb chops with rumali roti. My meat had come out but roti was nowhere to be seen although it was requested on two occasions, resulting in my food getting cold and on the third attempt of asking the manager it surprisingly arrived 25mins later wow! Onto the next, we ordered a kids meal with naan bread and a separate rice with naan, to which we only received one naan which should have been two, so we allowed that and thought well it’s ok mistakes happen. The final straw was my wife ordering a vegetarian thali, when she was presented with the starter she mentioned she did not order one, they told her it was all part of the thali. She ate the starter, then had to wait almost half hour despite looking around trying to get someone’s attention. A lady at the front desk noticed and then approached the table to ask if everything was ok to which we replied ‘no’. The lady went to the back to check what was going on with the thali as it was part of the mains bearing in mind everyone had finished their food at this point. Whilst she was at the back, the manager who had taken our order approached and we began to express how unhappy we were for the 2nd time. The lady then came out and said it wasn’t a thali that was ordered it was the set menu. The manager confirmed that it should have been the thali as he took the order. We couldn’t believe the order had been messed up. It was actually like it was a prank. We decided to cancel the main as this experience was beyond a joke. The manager did offer to get us something else but it was too late for us, we were totally put off. There wasn’t much of a verbal apology as the manager said that we were right. Some words or ownership would have been appreciated. We did ask for the bill so we could leave. The manager said that the bill would be taken care of, which was nice of him but based on the experience was the least he could do. It wasn’t about the money, it was about the experience and eating together as a family, it was our last meal in London and it was ruined. I will not be going to Madhus again.

Food was well below average for their brand.

Have been to the one in southall years ago and had High expectations. Went for the degustation menu as this had the signature dishes. The service to start was good. Attentiveness as you would expect in a good restaurant. Over the course of the evening and our meal this quickly disintegrated to the point we had to wait about 15 minutes just for a glass of water. The staff was overwhelmed with the never ending conveyor belt of diners pouring in through the door. There was not a seat left. It quickly became very noisy and crowded. Food.presentaion was good. Food flavouring was subtle and nice but lacking in other dishes. Off the starters we tried I would reccomend the palace patta chaat and chilli paneer. I must say however that was expecting the samphire in the chaat but it looked like savoy cabbage to me. None the less it tasted great. The canapés weren't that great. You had a gol guppy that tasted like it had petit filous in it and a small kachori that was the size of a cadburys mini egg. The Murphy tikka had a lovely char flavour from the charcoal but was lacking in flavour. The rotatable chop was an amazing cut of.meat,very tender and probably the best chop I had in ages but again was lacking in flavour as was the Sikh kebab. Must mention. That it was 1 chop each,1 Seekh kebab cut in half each and 2 chicken thighs each too. So portion sizes are not huge. 3 chutneys were really good. Onto mains which were okay. Butter chicken was not bad. The national gosht was nice and again her the quilts of meat was good. All on the bone. The best dish here was the rice with peas. Out of everything the humblest of things really stood out and it was this. Palak.paneer was okay. Again slightly flavourless. The desserts was underwhelming. The amount if times I have had the same dessert in so many restaraunts for years. Thought it would be something more innovative and exciting or different. 'Chefs selection of desserts was a extra gulab jamun in comparison to what you would get on the royal set menu. The decor was good and it was a nice restaurant. Unfortunately I would not come here again. So many corporate clients and I have a feeling its always like this especially when it's going to be located on the ground floor of a busy heathrow hotel. Good effort. Thankyou.

Recently dined here as part of our belated festive get-together and have to say that everything was impeccable from the layout, service, attentive team and winning it all was the incredibly delicious, real Indian food on offer. You catered for an amazing 60+ guests with no issue and everything was delicious, hot, served with a smile and style. Some of the team have returned for takeaway already they loved it that much. Thought the food was good, but it was a very hectic experience with the service, I was totally unsatisfied with the service due to very poor communication skills from the waiters, and the response to my questions. I came with my workplace to enjoy, but still nobody has responded properly due to which my time with my colleagues was spoiled.

Just returned from dinner wishing we had gone with our first choice of checking out some eateries in Southall instead. Whilst the food was fine, the kebabs were the only stand out items served. And being seated next to a noisy group when the restaurant had plenty of empty tables was not the best courtesy, as we had even said we were celebrating our anniversary! Service was attentive overall but I expected more from this highly rated restaurant.

Good food and service. We booked a large table and they accommodated any requests we had well.

Unfortunately the 1 star rating of this review is for the food... only. My family chose to celebrate New Years Eve here and this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I have been to the Dilly multiple times and never had an issue with Madhus. But genuinely the worst service ever, 5 of us went and the waiter was rude who would ignore what you asked for and will walk away while you are having a conversation with them. We should not be asking 6 times for water having to go to the general manager to be served absolutely ridiculous. Considering the bill was £400 I would expect alot more, I made the general manager aware of this but he was too busy eating and dealing with his family who were dining there than taking my suggestions and comments seriously. I was considering using Madhus to cater for 400 people at my wedding but there is no way I will be using Madhus if they are not able to cater for 5 people. Disappointing experience and would recommend everyone to stay away.

We ordered the Royal Set Menu for 8 of us. The starters portions were tiny and the main course was ok. When we finished our meal, we requested the left-overs to be packed. However, our request was denied. Reason: Apparently according to Madhu’s company policy, they would rather throw the food away than pack the left-overs for us. So, reducing waste and sustainability does not seem to be part of Madhu’s policy. I strongly request Madhu’s to look into their ESG policies. The staff were very polite and professional.

You know how you think you've found a good Indian restaurant and how happy you were with the food? Forget it. This was a class above anything I've had anywhere at all. Food was absolute class. Service from Peter was smooth,efficient and classy. The extremely elegant drinks lady has a smile that you can't help smile back at...not only beautiful but classy. Joe the manager runs the place like clockwork. This really was just sheer brilliance however...if you don't book....you know what happens then so...book. what an enjoyable dinner.

The food soo blend and really not worth drive down. Would have been better of getting chips from local chippy.

A evening family birthday celebration. Booking was very easy. Restaurant was half full and got noisy as evening progressed. Drinks are pricey but worth it. We ordered a mixture starters, mains and thalis with minor changes. All were accommodated. While we were waiting we munched on 4 varities of papadums and 4 pickles. Drinks and food arrived after a short while. All was very well presented and tasted wonderful. No space for desserts. Service was excellent throughout. A wonderful experience.

Horrible customer service and a complete scam. Would not let us take away any of our food after paying £52 PP set menu. What restaurant doesn’t let you take away your left overs, it’s not a buffet. Asked friend who was picking me up to have some of the food as lots were left and they ended up insisting to charge my friend £52 set menu even though they didn’t get any additional food, only what was already left from my food?

Great service, very attentive and lovely table that we were seated at . The food is fine , just nothing special, price is acceptable for location and service. Great parking.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Madhu’s. The taste and flavour of the food were simply outstanding. We ordered papdi chaat, Mixed platter, murg makhni and Nihari. One thing disappointed us was the Golgappe otherwise I would have given it 5 star.

Dinner for a girly catch up on 24/11. Delicious food with deep flavours that absolutely delight the palate. There's so much that we could have ordered as the entire menu just screamed EAT ME, EAT ME!!!! Worth every penny! We had the Thali dishes and some chaat. Portions are more than enough for 1 person and just enough so that you're not uncomfortably full. We would definitely go again. The only downside was that the hot drink machine wasn't working so some of our group couldn't have their first choice of hot drink, so settled for freshly made peppermint tea, which was so delightful and a touching replacement. The staff we encountered were all genuinely lovely, warm and friendly.

Poor service and extremely overpriced. There’s also alarmingly little choice for vegetarians. It’s disappointing.

Very warm and excellent service by Clive and caitan specially. Went with my family for dinner and they made my birthday so special. Authentic Indian food with traditional Indian taste. And the garlic naan was amazing

Wow! The food here is fabulous, not your standard indian restaurant. They serve high class dishes that you are unlikely to find in any other indian restaurant.

Wildly overpriced, mediocre food. Thali was the smallest one ever had and at £30 for the veg, most pricey. The kulfi cost £8 and was an ice lolly cut into 4 pieces. They even asked me if I was sure I wanted the masala chai because it was from a sachet! Naan was delicious though

Wow what a find! Who would expect to find an excellent indian restaurant in an airport hotel! After arriving to our heathrow hotel (Marriott-very good), we looked for nearby restaurants. We found Madhu Heathrow. The restaurant was next door to in the Sheraton. The restaurant is lively, and upmarket. Many customers were from the local community. The menu has a different slant on the usual curry and it is executed very well. Grilled and tandoori options were excellent, we tried some large grilled spicy prawns that were cooked in the shell perfectly! The usual tandoori chicken and curry was elevated. Nan was crisp and fresh. Service impeccable. Not inexpensive but would have been same price as our hotel bistro. Our only disappointment was that we were only two and couldn’t try more dishes! Highly recommend!

It was okay actually. Decent evening with friends and family, free parking and pretty 🤩 A.W.E.S.O.M.E vibe. The food is a hit and miss. The non vegetarian curries were great but the vegetarian crowd was disappointed.

We had a lovely evening at Madhu’s. The service, by Joe, was personal and excellent - hi Joe, this is Jack and Jill! We chose the non-vegetarian Thali to share and it was wonderful - the meat was succulent and the whole dish was extremely tasty, while also being not too filling. It was a great send-off experience.

I was here because of an early flight from Heathrow. I had the Nalli Gosht with Naan and the Khasta Vegetable Samosas as an appetizer. It was a wonderful experience for my taste buds. The service was top notch and the atmosphere made me think of some of the restaurants I visited while on business travel to India. I highly recommend this restaurant if your near Heathrow.

Located within the Sheraton Hotel Heathrow location. Convenient to the other Heathrow Airport area hotels - Marriott and Courtyard. Ordered the non-veg Thali and the shrimp current was fantastic. The other curries included with the Thali selection were all very very good but the shrimp was FANTASTIC. Tandoori grilled lamb chop cooked to perfection. Garlic naan and eggplant dish were also both great. Arrived early evening on a Friday during a weekend holiday. We were greeted in a cheerful way and seated immediately. Our server, Peter, was great — friendly and informative. Will definitely visit next time I am near Heathrow Airport!!!

The place has lost it’s charm and elegant touch. We went for dinner last night and all 3 of us have upset tummy. The service is also not as good as before.

Excellent atmosphere as usual it's my second visit in this restaurant, I am delighted to be here again and the service from our server Jagjit Singh was out of this world. He's so kind and professional with his work and gave the best recommendations in terms of food.

Really poor customer service as we were told the night before that our birthday booking of 22 people, we needed to order from the set menu, even for 3 years kids in our party. This is bad customer service as we had been a loyal customer for many years but not anymore.

Madhu's food was excellent - again. Last time I was at LHR on a layover I stayed at the Sheraton specifically to try Mahdu's - again this time, and it surely did not disappoint. The service is excellent, the food is superb, and the prices are reasonable. Warmed plates, candle heated holders for food, crispy naan, every detail is perfect. My only area for improvement would be that it is not a very cosy restaurant. The lights are dimmed, but it is fairly large, and a bit 'cold' to the look. Can highly highly recommend.

This restaurant in the Sheraton Skyline Hotel serves delicious Indian food in a lively setting. The place is popular with the guests, but also with the local Indian community. We enjoyed our meal very much.

We had a very nice meal here. The food was good and a bit different from your usual Indian restaurant, with a lot of veggie options. Great service too. If I had one issue with the food it’s that the portion sizes of the starters we ordered were odd. We ordered one each, and my husband got what I’d consider to be a normal portion for one person, whereas mine was very much a sharer. It was a little wasteful as I’d ordered something he didn’t like. I’ll also mention that the drinks were very expensive, and the reason I’ve gone with 4 stars instead of 5. We’re not naive and expect London prices with a Heathrow hotel premium, but a pint of Cobra was £3 more expensive than the bar/restaurant in our own hotel. £9 a pint is a bit steep when your neighbours are charging £6.

This is our favorite go to spot when we fly back to the US after a visit home. The food is fantastic, the service first class (thank you Peter) and I wish we had one of these in North Carolina!

The food is the only letdown. It's ok if you're on bath road and are looking for Indian food with a nice decor but it's nothing special. In our experience, the popodums were stale and seekh kebabs initially came out cold. The chilli chicken had way too many bones and all you could taste is cardamom in the butter chicken. The drinks were fantastic, go for the virgin berry mojito if available.
