My delivery time was pushed back from the agreed time.

Was on its way for 7:55pm when I received an update around 7:35ish. I rang at 8pm, 8:15pm, 8:20pm and 8:30pm. At 8pm I asked where my order was and he said its on way. 8:15om, I rang again to ask where the driver was and the restaurant said they'd call they to ask. Never called me back! 8:30pm I rang to cancel order I kept being fobbed up saying driving arriving but they didn't let me cancel my order! Driver turned up at 8:45 and kept making excuses. I wasn't happy at all! I drove over 200miles today from London to visit my family here in London and wanted to treat my family! What a rubbish experience!

Good food but not hot enough because it was half an hour late. We ordered at 8pm and got food at 9.45pm

Wonderful wonderful food every time. But also every time food has been late and we have had to call restaurant to ask where it is. Still worth it as food outstanding.

Ordered lamb vindaloo, stuffed naan bread and chips. The order was saved by the vindaloo because it was so nice. I only received standard naan bread, still enjoyed but I ordered stuffed naan bread. Late delivery but I can forgive as it was a Saturday night. I phoned up Madhari asking where the food was and was assured it was on its way, giving me plenty of apology what I appreciated. I have been told lots of good things about this restaurant so maybe eat in would be better.

Took 2.5 hours for our order to be delivered after initial estimate was half an hour. Even after ringing to enquire, to be told it’ll be 5minutes, the food took a further half an hour to arrive. Disappointing.

We order takeaway from here and have sat in to eat a few times. Good choice for a standard Indian takeaway. The staff are always very nice whether we are stopping in to pick up food or sit down to eat Our fave dish is the makon chicken, a bit different as it's a creamy, cheesy curry, but we love it and order it each time!!

Food not that good tbh. Very salty. Just not the great food Madhari used to be known for.

Terrible took two hours to deliver

Curry was more akin to a soup chicken sparce not pleasant, which is a shame cos standards have nosedived since last time. I'm not gonna gamble on another order, you've lost me.

But not a problem being late we were in no rush an it was Lovely an driver was pleasant thank you 😊

A 30 minute wait after the expected collection time is not great tbh and they are rarely busy too

It may be good if we had it but cannot confirm. 18.55 delivery expected, 19:20...nothing! but finally 19:45. Ordered here lots of times and first time there has been a delay to be fair. Delivery driver a lovely bloke!

An absolutely awful experience. The food was an hour late, even after extending the delivery time. We rang the restaurant twice to ask where it was, but the manager was just dismissive and rudely hung up the phone BOTH TIMES. Everything was stone cold by the time it arrived. Two of the items were wrong, the koftas were partially burnt, even the naan bread tasted a little funny. It was dreadful. I could have gotten a nicer microwave Indian meal from a supermarket - I wish I had! At the very least, it would have been hot!! I'd heard bad things about this restaurant but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned - Never again! The manager should be ashamed of himself. Not only for the blatant mismanagement of his kitchen or the sorry state of his food, but for his attitude. The one redeeming quality was the lovely delivery driver who was very understanding and apologetic, for the wait and the manager's rudeness. Maybe they should swap roles...?

The delivery man was very apologetic and kind but meal was delivered around 40 minutes late. Food was nice however.

The food was over an hour late being delivered even though the app notification showed it as having arrived at the expected delivery time (which was still 90 minutes after ordering). I phoned the restaurant twice to chase it up. 70 minutes before it was eventually delivered i was told that it was sat in the kitchen waiting to be picked up by the delivery man. When I chased up the food after an hour I was told it would be 5 more minutes. If they had put a realistic delivery time on the app I would have picked it up myself and been a happy customer. I won't be ordering from madhari again.

On here it said estimated delivery at 19.40. rang the restaurant at 19.50 and they said the order was still there!

Food over an hour late. Chips were cold. Naan was missing

Enjoyed the curry’s fish Bhuna had a kick and thicker consistency than the chicken bhuna overall happy with are full belly’s

We have ordered here for years so surprised about tonight’s service! Ordered 18:20 arrival time of 19:30. Just after 19:30 we called up to see how things were going (can understand it will be busy on Friday) I was told food ready just waiting on a driver.. called 20:00 and told 5 minutes.. food arrived at 20:30 so refused to take the order at the door as the food would be an hour old! Did not want to put one star for food quality as it’s normally good but could not submit form without it!! Sorry long review!!

It was an original delivery time of 1 hour and 15 min. Which I thought was long, but thought as long as it is no letter it would be ok. 10 min late, I called restaurant, who said it would be another 15- 20 min before driver got there! I ended up driving to restaurant to collect myself. And stil the starter was not cooked properly and rice main was cold!?

Arrived exactly on time, food was great.

After being told about this restaurant for the past 15 years is was very disappointed. Both curry’s we ordered were barely half full containers and each contained 4 small pieces of meat. The mixed kebab was missing its onion bhagi and one of the samosa was just folded pastry with no filling. I can only assume they sold out of ingredients the night before being NYE and we got the left overs. Very expensive for a dozen half inch cubes of chicken and lamb. Tried to call last night but no answer. Very disappointing.

Pathia wasn't a pathia and all very salty. Peschwari was soggy.

Ordered at 18:56, delivery time confirmed for 20:05. I contacted them at 20:38 spoke to man who went away to find the time for which he confirmed five minutes away. 21:08 I rang back spoke to the same man who was surprised my order still hadn’t arrived he was very rushed and couldn’t wait to get off the phone , no apology at all. 21:17 my order finally arrived , again no apology from The delivery driver. I was so hungry and the whole order went in the bin unfortunately, the madras was watery and had no flavour or spice at all. Mixed kebab cold and no taste of flavour. Popadoms tasted burnt and strange. It is fair to say I wouldn’t recommend going here at all, a lot of issues which need addressing.

Meal due at 6.30, Message received that the food left the restaurant at 5.54. Food arrived at 6.54. Therefore the food had been sat in a car for an hour and so no surprise it was stone cold. When I called the restaurant, the employee put the food down on me. He needs training in customer service. The food was delivered by the manager or owner. He told me the food left the restaurant only 10 minutes previously. No it didn't. I used to be a regular eating in there and can't believe how poorly they treated me with a delivery.

love the food from madhari. but never feel live delivery times are accurate, and on this occasion went to pick up as delivery time doubled. always friendly staff. prawn puri is delish and enjoyed the kohari. always our go to place! if you dont mind waiting :)

Cold food when it finally arrived. Came nearly three hours after we ordered it. Originally said it would be delivered at 7:30 and arrived after 9:00. Shocking

Messaged restaurant to say was running late. They have a new delivery time. That time also passed and again I have it half an hour. I then requested money back and the restaurant to call me. They never so I had to phone in the end

Poor service tonight from the restaurant , took over 2hrs from ordering to be delivered. Food arrived cold and poppadums tasted stale! Very disappointed as we love this place. Will think twice next time before ordering!

It was two hours late, I'm almost certain neither of us got what we ordered (a Rogan Josh that just tasted like chicken stock, and a pathia with no sweetness or sourness). The restaurant flat out lied to me on the phone too. Ingredients tasted quite fresh though, despite not belonging to either of the dishes we ordered.

Poppadoms were stale and soft, most of the food was cold or luke warm at best. Avoid!

ordered at 6.15pm for delivery at 7.25pm. Rang at 7.45pm and was rudely told by a worker it was on it's way who then slammed phone down. Finally arrived at 8.35pm. Most was cold and had to be reheated Never will order from here again

Foods so good it's always worth the wait

The food was quite disappointing, we had to heat everything in the microwave, The garlic naan didn't contain any garlic and was very doughy.

DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Ordered our meal, waited an hour for delivery which is fine to then receive the wrong order. Ring up to explain to which they argue with me and tell me that was what I ordered (it wasn’t) and slam the phone down on me on numerous occasions. Try to ring back and they keep cutting my call Off and telling me to stop ringing. £32 out of pocket for food I didn’t order and a mouth full of abuse from the staff in the restaurant. SHOCKING

Still waiting for food that should have been here an hour ago and that was order two hours ago. Called the restaurant and was told it's on it's way. The man on the other end took no details from me so I asked which address it was going to. He hung up. If you want to be hungry and treated with utter contempt then this is the place for you.

We have been going here on and off for nearly 20 years. We don’t live as near these days so it’s not as frequent but we went last night after a gap of about 12 months and had a lovely welcome and a gorgeous meal - Ahmed is always so friendly and helpful

Service was extremely slow. There was no check back on our meals. I felt frightened to ask for anything such as a straw etc. Diet coke was flat. Meals were nice, but the shocking service tarnished that completely. They were participating in the eat out to help out scheme but did not discount our soft drinks despite the scheme discounting food and soft drinks (not alcohol - which is fine because we did not have alcohol), when I raised this at the end of the meal I was completely shut down and my point disregarded. I was made to feel incredibly inferior by the staff. I won’t be visiting this place again, it has made me really anxious and put me in a terrible mood.

Ordered food from Mahari last month and it was gorgeous. Have ordered from one or two other restaurants since and the Chicken Chat starter was nowhere near the quality of Mahari - ordered again last night, 2 Chicken Chat & a passanda with pilau rice, was top quality again

Always great food from here. However 2nd time in a row the food has been over an hour late. And also missed part of the order, which was not followed. Need to update delivery times on just eat to be a lot more realistic to avoid losing customers.

Food was very late, nan bread and poppadons not as fresh as last time which was a disappointment, rest of the food was excellent, usually a restaurant and may need more drivers to keep up with demand for home deliveries

The food was delivered as per the estimated time however the driver was parked at the front of the house for 5-10 minutes, cleaning his car! Polishing his dashboard, cleaning his windscreen..... then he delivered food that was then luke warm! I would have gone out to the car only I presumed it wasn’t our delivery since the driver spent so long cleaning the car! Surely he could have done that after he delivered our food?

Very bland cold food and very late considering the restaurant was 5 minutes drive according to google maps.

Lovely food. Would have liked a quicker delivery but otherwise very pleased. Will order again.
