An absolutely wonderful cafe. Often I go to a cafe and aren't always too comfortable but this one was amazing. The lady (owner?)was instantly kind and welcoming to my friend and I (and every customer thereafter) as soon as we stepped through the door. She made you feel like a valued customer and like nothing was too much trouble. The jacket potato we had was lovely, generous size and so tasty with a lovely salad too. Its not often these days you get homemade coleslaw. It was so lovely and one of the nicest meals and experiences I've had with dining out in recent memory. Thank you for being so welcoming and making such a lovely inviting cafe. Will definitely be running. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Without a doubt the best cafe for miles around - pity it's so small and doesn't take dogs. The best tea I've had away from home for a long time and a simply mahoosive sausage and bacon sarnie for an extremely reasonable price. Do go there - it'd be rude not to!

Attended yesterday at the last minute as fancied a hot drink. The lovely owner although on her own and very busy served up a nice coffee with an excellent home made by her ginger scone and lemon curd. The best cake type treat I had ever tasted. My wife had a cream tea with huge fresh plain scone with accompanying raspberry jam and abundance of fresh Cornish clotted cream - accompanied with both freeze dried raspberries and fresh raspberries. Served on slate and wooden trays the presentation was superb which prepared for the wonderful treat to follow. A wonderful place to visit and we will go back when in the area again, as the sandwiches and other cakes/savouries looked of the same standard 👍

Initial thoughts were that we had entered down the rabbit hole when the owner of the café spoke to us in a broad Norfolk dialect which we did not understand ; only to be answered by one of our party in a broad north of Scotland accent which also in turn lacked comprehension on the part of the cafe owner (… " two nations divided by language ", to slightly paraphrase Churchill ). However, after approaching this problem in true British fashion ( i.e. raising one's voice and enunciating slowly, the message was received and understood ). Back to the café. The venue is quite small but comfortable. Unfortunately we arrived late in the afternoon, so menu was reduced in content, however the overall ambience and a really good cup of tea in china cups made up for the limited fare. Staff were extremely nice and chatty which made the visit most enjoyable.

Popped in for an afternoon coffee and cake, I selected the last piece of lemon sponge and the waitress duly wrote down my order. A couple came in shortly afterwards and ordered the same piece of lemon sponge and it was served to them!! The waitress clearly forgot to process my order!! But to the establishment's credit I was given a piece of chocolate cake on the house. So ten out of ten for customer service and thus five stars on here. We all make errors at times.

The rest of their cakes looked great, my non vegan family members had the cream tea and the lemon cake which they said were lovely. It’s sooooo easy to make vegan cakes, which everyone can eat, people can’t tell the difference - it’s a shame there wasn’t more of a selection, especially now that veganism is hugely on the increase.

Visited for the first time and was very impressed, lovely tea room, very tasty home cooked food and great customer service. Highly recommended. Can't wait to visit again. I had the autumn specials of apple and pork sausage roll and pumpkin spiced latte which they happily did as a skinny drink for me.

Had a full Cream Tea, which was excellent( pre booking highly recommended for this) . Very tasty sandwiches, and wonderful scones. Good range of tea's too. Children loved the cakes, said they were "yummy". Very good customer service. Highly recommended.

Called in for a cuppa and what a delight it was too. Tea served in China cups, fab chocolate cake and the wonderful aroma of freshly baked teacakes just out of the oven. The ladies there are so friendly. Will return when next in the area.

I visited Wymondham with an orchestra and ended up with hours and hours spare. I happened across this delightful tearoom and it couldn't have been better. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, and the interior of the shop was amazing. With twee teapots, mugs and other cute items on every wall and surface, retro music playing in the background and beautiful presentation of both drunk and food, the Mad Hatters Tea Shop was aesthetically glorious. This was just the beginning though, as the food and drink not only looked great but tasted divine too. I would highly recommend both the Mediterranean veg panini and the toasted tea cake I had, and any of the teas! The cafe is cash-only but with cash points within a 30-second reach, this is no problem at all. This place is a treasure and must not be missed!

Just returned from an afternoon tea with friends at this delightful little cafe.I absolutely love afternoon teas and have sampled a great deal in Norfolk and am pleased to say this was one of the best I've had !!!The cafe is beautifully decorated in Cath Kidston style with vintage crockery and cake stands. All the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly which adds to the experience of a relaxing visit. You are given your own cake stand with sandwiches of your choice. I had coronation chicken and prawn which were delicious. Plenty of filling!!! A small side salad and cup of crisps accompanied them. The scone was large and tasty with clotted cream and jam with strawberry garnish. You are given a choice of a large slice of one of their delicious homemade cakes (had to take ours home as too full ) and a shortbread finger.Thoroughly recommend this delightful cafe and shall be back very soon. Many thanks
