Food was very nice & tasty. Good value for money. On the downside, the decor inside is a bit dated and very tired inside, the leather seats on chairs were ripped.

Staying in the area and always check reviews on Trip advisor for good places to eat or stay. Can I say that your positive reviews on this restaurant were spot on. Great food with quick and friendly service by staff

When we booked a table, we didn’t realise we would be squeezed into a living room. Manager wasn’t nice when we requested a quieter table, we were told that we would have to wait over 45 minutes for a new table when there were clearly customers just about to finish. Obviously they didn’t like the fact that we requested a new table. The first table we were placed at was connected to another table, where a group sat down, we were essentially expected to sit next to strangers? I can’t comment on the food because we didn’t try it. Just a shame the way we were treated by the staff who were not very accommodating to customers. We were willing to spend good money in this establishment. I think they have too many table bookings for such a small room. I’m pretty sure my living room is bigger. I can’t understand the 4* reviews on here, unless the food makes up for it no idea, the customer service certainly doesn’t!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hadn't been here for some time as we moved to Oswestry from Wrexham. Stopped in on way back from a day put. Fantastic as ever. Chicken perfectly moist and excellent spicing of all the dishes. 10 out of 10.

Beautiful food we have been several times, we are new to the area and this is our favourite Indian restaurant, every time We have been the restaurant is full so that says it all even In the week!! The staff work so hard to keep the service up but can be difficult at times with such a busy restaurant and dealing with takeaways but it does not affect the quality or the food. The staff are stretched which does make it difficult to give the customer service it needs. But other than 5 * food !!

Our first visit this evening, and it will certainly not be our last! Service and meal was superb. The menu is extensive, and it was difficult to make a decision of what we should order. Everything on the menu had mouthwatering descriptions, and the mango rose chicken and hash khushboo were both incredible and did not disappoint. Quite possibly the best Indian meal we have ever tasted.

Great meal. A jalfrezi with a goodly amount of sharp heat. Other dishes all good too. Quick and attentive service if you want it (at least for me on my visit) My only suggestion/ request would be to get the families with kids to get them to turn all devices to silent. At least from say 7pm ish. Otherwise it feels a bit like being in a zoo. Tech generally diminishes the human connection in face to face meetups imho!

My friend and I eat at this restaurant every month and have done so for over 5 years now. Why? Because the food is excellent, the service is superb and the waiters are attentive without being obtrusive. There is always a friendly, pleasant atmosphere and the manager always finds time to come over and welcome us with a friendly greeting. In all our visits, we have had no reason whatsoever to feel disappointed in any way. Recommend without reservation - excellent in every way.

Was looking forward to eating here after hearing some positive reviews. Went with a large group to celebrate a birthday. Our meals were ordered in advance. On arrival we ordered our drinks at the bar and headed to our seating area. Poppadoms arrived with some dips, we didn’t know if these were complementary or not as we had no menu or prices and only ordered our main meals. My meal came out first, but instead of brining out any rice it just sat there on the table in front of me getting cold until everyone else received their meals and then I had to wait for the rice, my rice didn’t come out 1st. No exaggeration this was a good ten min wait. Meal was stone cold. So disappointed. No offer of nan bread. No offer of any drinks, had to go to the bar mid meal and waited for far too long while staff handled take aways, at least my curry couldn’t get any colder. Take aways seemed to be their priority. No dessert we’re offered once main meal was complete and a lack of customer service left me feeling very disappointed with this Indian restaurant Went to the bar to pay the bill, only to find out the poppadoms required payment.

Tasty food, friendly staff, nice decor.

The restaurant was booked for 6.30 because there were young children in our group. Waited 15 minutes before any drinks order was taken. We were asked to move down three seats as they wanted the table on the end for somone else, as each of the tables sat four this was never going to work. They finally realised that after we had all moved seats. Food order was taken after the delivery of drinks. Food arrived at 8.30. Curries were tasty but barely warm. Had to go to the bar to order a second round of drinks. Whilst at the bar, being served, the barman decided it was more important to inform the kitchen of a new order. To sum up....customer service poor, food ok. Perhaps more emphasis should be placed on the customers in the restaurant and not on completing take away orders. It would have been quicker to return to the car, phone an order, and pick it up. We were not the only unhappy customers.

We had a large dine in, pre booked, party and our first complaint was a very abrupt waiter making us all move seats unnecessarily after our starters. The main issue though was that we had several small children and had to wait 2 hours for the main course! The children were crying they were that hungry and when the food eventually came, it was luke warm. They had a large amount of pick up take away orders, which they were obviously dealing with before their dine in customers as the take away food was coming out of the kitchen thick and fast, where as table orders were very few and far between. Considering our bill came to over £200 and we had pre booked, I think we should have been priority over any take away orders! I definitely will not be going there again

Nice looking place from outside but disappointing. I was greeted when entering and asked if I would like a table. I said yes for 1. They said just take a seat in waiting area and we will clear a table. It was fairly busy. I waited over 25 minutes while people came past me and were seated to be asked by the same man what you waiting for! I said you’re finding me a seat! Oh ok was the reply follow me and they gave me a table with no real apology. When my order was taken it was done in a very rushed fashion with literally no customer focus. It was all just a bit disappointing and disjointed. The table next to me didn’t get what they ordered. Rice instead of chips and so on. The food itself was lovely and tasty and you can argue maybe it was a bad day I went but to many things were wrong to overlook it.

Exellent menu lots of options .10 of us ate all different dishes and everyone enjoyed them staff were great.

Seemingly the only restaurant we could find open near our hotel on a Monday night! Pleasantly surprised by the good service and quality food. Cute rose too. We arrived around 8pm and were the third of three tables. Waiters did really well to remain friendly towards large obnoxious table in the middle! Lovely touch to leave a bottle of Tia Maria with us at the end! Thanks!

Sunday takeaway for a change and we, it was so good. I had my usual chicken vindaloo which was up to the usual standard, but the wife had a chicken tikka madras for a change. She said it was the best curry she had had in years. Thanks team , especially selim who cooks the food Fantastic finish to a great weekend John& Linda.

Excellent food unfortunately not matched by service. Meals were slow to arrive and waiters were borderline indolent. Would recommend takeaway as the food itself was very good.

We waited absolutely ages to order. It wasn't the best food. It was OK.

Disappointed, maybe it's because we're used to going out for a curry in Liverpool but we expected the standard here to at least match some of the places we used to go. We had the Sunday buffet - a good selection of food but found things to be greasy and not fresh even though it had only opened half an hour before we arrived. Chicken was tough, and spring rolls were soggy, but the curries had flavour and a good amount of meat or veg in them, and the onion bahjis were lovely. however, service was also below par, with staff looking at phones when serving, slow to bring drink / the bill and didn't seem very friendly. I'm also a bit annoyed they charged me a full child's meal for my two year old who barely ate anything.

Aside from the waiter who was questioning his career choices as he served us, it was a really nice meal. Welsh lamb curry was super tender. Nice rice and naan to boot. Conveniently on the a483 with plenty of parking.

Had a takeaway for 4 people. £46.00. very poor. Ordered popadums which came without any dips/ additions whatsoever. Ordered salmon, jalfresi, butter chicken and a lamb dish. Every dish was bland and very disappointing and it will be a long long time before we ever book again.

Never take this place for granted! I come here every week and the standard of the food is 100% each visit. Located on the a483 Wrexham bypass this is not your typical town curry house. It's next door to a service station but the comparisons stop there. The food is always of a good standard and reasonably priced. Well worth the visit.

Was recommended by a local Hotel, decided to opt for takeaway, was pleasantly greeted on arrival, order was taken swiftly & didn't take long to be ready. Had Onion Baja's, Chicken Biryani, Mushroom Baja's with Keema & Peshwari naan. Food was excellent & when next in the area will be visiting again

Our Diamond Wedding celebration meal with the family was an evening to remember with friendly efficient staff and good food .Nothing was too much trouble for the Maahis to make sure that things worked for us, from early admittance to set up things to making sure that no one was kept waiting for requirements and this was on a Saturday evening when it was busy.

Gone downhill massively. Used to be the best by a long shot. Missing meals on orders, Barely any meat in curries, Subpar food. Won't be returning after 3 bad meals in a row. Shame as I've been coming here for years. Only thing I can recommend is the buffet on a Sunday, but I still won't be returning for that.

Allways super curry, I have been to curry houses all over the country with friends and yet to find anywhere that beats Maahis! Service is allways fantastic. Food is allways very tasty and of top quality.

Third time coming here and will be the last. We came for the buffet. They ran out of desserts and I politely asked if we could have something knocked off our bill. I wasn't trying to get free meals or anything like that. I was confronted by the lady who I found to be extremely rude and intimidating. Very poor customer service. Can't review the food as we didn't get that far! Table was booked and confirmed by the restaurant for 7:30pm. We arrived and we're told to sit on a a bench as the table wasn't ready. We weren't offered a drink or the menus at that point. We eventually asked for the menus and the lady behind the bar shouted across to ask us if we wanted a drink. We spent 25 minutes waiting for a table and no one could give us an approx time it would be available. We left and went to iJazz in Wrexham where everything was excellent. As usual.

Amazing food. We had 7 different curries and a selection of rice and breadthat we shared between our group. All had distinct flavour profiles and didnt feel like multiple versions of the same dish. All really great. Eaten here twice and it was excellent both times

Small group of us decided to try Maahis and were quite impressed. 2 people had intolerances and Maahis catered easily for those, giving open honest advice on the dishes. The waiters seemed to know the ingredients and even helped one of us choose a more tasty dish when they couldn't decide between 2 dishes. We were not rushed at any point so a really enjoyable and relaxing evening was had by all. Food was very yummy and they even boxed up what we couldn't finish. Really happy and will deffo be back in the future

Went for the Sunday night banquet. Despite booking there was no 5pm table and we ended up waiting half an hour. The place was far too busy. It was like a school canteen. The food was passable but nothing special. The place has really gone downhill since the last visit a couple of years ago. By 7:30 the place was very overcrowded and sweaty with a large number of very large people. The restaurant is clearly trying to pack as many people in as possible. The staff were polite but quite obviously overworked. A relief to leave. Wont be returning any time soon.

We went to the buffet on a Sunday afternoon It was very busy at 4.30 and the biggest issue was it was over crowded, we needed a high chair and we had to knock into next table to get past Very difficult to get in and out of table. The food overall was very good, very limited for a vegetarian, it would have been nice to able to be able to ask for vege versions. The biggest disappointment food wise was the poppadoms, they were kept in a heated cabinet and basically were bendy!!!very very off putting...such a shame
