M2 Pizza Pasta in Spelthorne

My wife and I ate here with my daughter and her family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Service was good with the server being friendly, helpful and efficient. All the food we had was excellent, the pasta dishes were excellent and the pizza superb. The dough balls very tasty and our desserts very good. We really enjoyed our meal and will happily return here in the future.

My family and I ate here for my birthday. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. All the food we had was excellent. The dough balls are possibly the best I’ve had, and the carbonara is superb. And the tiramisu was tasty. It is great to have such a good restaurant local to us, and they seem to be maintaining their high standards which is good. We will visit again and have no problem recommending this restaurant.

This was our probably fourth time me and my husband enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The food is always lovely and fresh and the staff is amazing, always welcoming and super helpful. I’m currently pregnant and could not decide between two dishes and the lovely gentleman who served us proposed that they can make both dishes for me in a kids version so that I can have both. Oh that made me and my little bump super happy! Thank you

Had another lovely lunch today. Been here a few times. My friend had pizza and I had tuna nicoise salad. My only disappointment was that the salad came with dough balls with no garlic butter which were rather dry. The waitress explained that garlic dough balls are only available as a starter. I would have been happy to have paid a little extra for the garlic butter. Service was good and waitress was friendly. Will be back soon.

My family and I went for a father's day meal. Despite being busy the staff were excellent and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant and at the end of our meal they went way above and beyond an excellent level of customer relations. We will definitely be going again and would highly recommend. Thank you everyone at M2

This was the first time we tried this local family run restaurant. Nice food not fantastic but the reason i added overall disappointing is because we were charged for condiments you would never usually pay for in an Italian restaurant - £1.35 charged for parmesan and £1.35 charged for garlic butter! Surprised we weee not charged for the pepper. Very shocked at being charged for condiments. We would have left a tip as we always do however we decided not to. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again which is a great shame as it seemed like a lovely local restaurant.

On Sunday 21st March I ordered 4 mains & 2 starters. The phone was answered promptly & politely. The order took about 15 minutes. We collected fresh piping hot pizza's & pasta. The food was delicious.

If you want an authentic style pizza this is the place to go, the pizzas are extremely good. The service has always been good and friendly with food served in good time and waiting staff being attentive to the right amount. The only thhing I would like to see is a larger side menu section to have with your pizza rather than just a salad. That said this is a very nice place to eat and we have gone back several times so very much worth a visit as the food is really good.

I easily reserved a table on Friday morning for Friday evening, just as well i did as it got very busy. My Wife had the prawn cocktail for starters. The presentation could be worked on for this dish as it comes with a whole slice of toast. This would have looked better halved or quartered. I had the Goats cheese rolls wrapped in ham, tiny little things but tasty. We both had Pizzas for main, both average . We liked the fact we could taste the house wine before we ordered a bottle as we like dry wine . All in all a nice local meal.

Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's not as good as it used to be under the new team. The menu is the same but somehow it not quite as good as it was. Very hard to put a finger on it.Still ok for a meal but I personally would stick to the Pizza menu these days.

This is a very good restaurant for a delicious freshly made Italian pizza. We had dough balls and garlic bread to start and then pizza which was well cooked and had delicious toppings. Fabulous fast friendly service, we will return!

Absolutely love this place. Food is always so tasty and service is swift. Very child friendly as well which is an added bonus. Family meals out couldn’t have got any better than this place.

Not sure how last reviewer came to that conclusion. Last Friday the restaurant was buzzing, fully booked, glad I called in advance to book a table. That many people can't be wrong. The pizzas were delicious as were the salads and wine. The atmosphere was great, and the young waitress who served us (bosses daughter) had a lovely manner, polite and attentive especially as they were so busy.

Six of us met up here for lunch (station only a five minute walk).

My family used to eat at M2 a great deal. As my daughters grew up, we tended to use M2 for takeaway meals as well and now we have at least one meal a week of M2 pizzas.

we have eaten here several times, the service is quick and efficient and the food is always piping hot and well presented. Not expensive eats either.

Popped in here last night for a quick dinner, pizza's were excellent as always - we used to come here a lot when our children were younger! Great service and lovely people. My only observation was that the tomato and mozzarella salad was very bland - the oil tasted like sunflower oil, defo not extra virgin olive oil, and there was no basil - so it all lacked a bit of flavour.

Finally got to try this place and wasn't disappointed. Had garlic bread for a starter which was delicious followed by a spaghetti bolognese which was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. It's also very decently priced! Would recommend!!

We really cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff go out of their way to do what they can to accommodate.

If you're looking for fresh made pizza or a pasta dish this is the place to go. A little on the small side but very friendly service and delicious fresh food. They have a small selection of lagers and wines, the house white was very nice. Most enjoyable will definitely go back.

Went to M2 last night for dinner as it was my birthday, for a Monday night the restaurant was about 2/3 full. We were greeted and sat by our waitress who appeared to be all by herself while there were 3 chefs in the kitchen.We were waiting for one more person however the waitress could have gotten us some drinks while we waited. When our last person arrived the young waitress came over, she didn't say very much and seemed to be very shy, which is a shame in this industry, she smiled a lot however which was good. She took our drink and food order. She did make a couple of mistakes with our drinks, I got a diet coke instead of a regular coke bit it is a small issue, and she seemed to be busy with the other tables that were in, it seems like a bit of staff balancing could be in order so the poor waitress isn't rushed off her feet.The pizzas are always very nice here, I had the Pizza M2 with sweetcorn instead of peppers, it was delivered as ordered and the chicken was nicely arranged on the pizza.The food was absolutely delicious, easily one of the nicest pizzas around and cheaper than the majority of competitors, £9.20 I believe my pizza was.Our food was cleared promptly after we finished and dessert menus brought over, we asked for 3 portions of profiteroles, however they only had two left available, they must be quite popular.The profiteroles were a delight, mine came with a scoop of ice cream with a mint leaf and two halves of a grape arranged nicely. As I was hungry on arriving my pizza and dessert were eating quickly, but the flavours and texture were noticed and enjoyed.The restaurant is quite small which is a shame as I'm sure they can fill a much bigger space if they had it, especially on a Saturday night. A heater above the door would be very nice as when the door is opened it can get rather chilly inside.Overall our dinner and dessert were lovely, the service was good despite the mistakes but I can forgive as the young waitress was left on her own, she coped very well.Definitely would come back here for food again.

Visited M2 Pizza Pasta as a bit fed up with traditional Christmas lunches. This is our 4th visit and the restaurant impresses each time we visit. Always piping hot, great flavours and a lovely atmosphere.

The food (we had a starter followed by pizza's) was excellent at a very good price. It is in the town and an easy walk from the station.

You can tell care and attention has been put into the making of the food. However after return custom I felt restricted by the small menu and lack of house fries to go with the pizza was dissapointing.Also a shame the dining area is small and therefore feels cramped.

Very good foods and very good service. If youre tired of the ordinary chain "italian" restaurant, then this is step up in term of authenticity, but without the rip off pricing. Highly recommended.

Been here a few times now and we love it. They are so accommodating esp with buggies, rearranging furniture for us. The food is super tasty, large portions and great value for money. Great to have such a nice Italian so close to home, will definitely be back.

The restaurant has long been a favourite with the children and it was their time to choose Only one other table was occupied throughout our stay but by no means is this normal and would always recommend to book,especially at weekends All four of us opted for pizza with various degree of hotness, American hot hits the spot! Garlic dough balls are always a must have for the kids and quickly polished off, only enough really for two to share Service was prompt and polite Only slight criticism is that it can be a touch expensive.

M2 is prime example of restaurant who knows to keep things simple and tasty and not faff around trying to be over adventurous with their dishes or experience. It's not pretentious in any way, and has a delicious and varied menu catering for most palates. The drinks menu is more than adequate, the house red being a delicious choice to accompany most meals. The service is excellent and very friendly, I believe a family run it. The decor suits the pleasant simplicity.We have yet to have a bad experience here, the staff are excellent and really do take care of you. My only gripe is people coming and going to collect their take away pizza, although this is not overly regular, however I like to think a restaurant as an eatery, where you are not disturbed by people coming and going who are not actually also eating there. It spoils it overall.

I can't sing their praises enough. I've been coming here for 10+ years and have never been disappointed. Most recently I came with my family for my birthday. The staff are always charming and helpful, the food is always fresh and delicious and the prices are so reasonable. My only problem is that it can be so busy in the evenings that you might need to book in advance, but that just tells you how good it is!

Have eaten here many times. Pizzas are good. Various pasta dishes available. Decent wine list.but mostly, the owners go out of their way to please you even when under pressure. This place gets very busy at times but they are always friendly and polite.

Lovely, simple, menu, with a few starters, pizzas, salads and other mains. Freshly cooked to order, very tasty. A proper pizzeria. Nice desserts too. About £20 per head for three courses with wine and beer. Well worth a visit.

I've eaten here a few times, most recently was tonight for my daughter birthday.They were very accommodating and let my daughter and her friends have one table whilst my wife and I had another.The food was excellent, my pizza was superb and my wife said the same for her pasta.My daughter and her friends said their meals were good.The service was very pleasant, and staff polite and friendly.This is definitely a restaurant we will be visiting again.

I arrived at M2 a little apprehensive, curious, and kind of sweaty. Upon entrance I was embraced by one of the handsome waiters, which I thought was a nice touch. All the food sounded savage so I went for pasta and pizza, which was such a good idea let me tell you!The friendliness of the staff is just something else here at M2. The hot waiter was just a dream, he really listened to what I had to say, especially when I told him my order. Overall a really lovely experience for my boyfriend and I, we had a smashing night out. A definite 11/10, would eat at this establishment again.

There's not much in Ashford but, as Italian food is one of my favourite cuisines, I picked this place over anywhere else in the town. It's not the greatest Italian restaurant in the world, but it doesn't try to be. It's a fairly basic place that is limited to pizza and pasta, with little else available. They definitely do what they do well although, based on my experience, their pizzas are a little different as they use less tomato sauce than usual. Instead they rely more on the cheese and dough, both of which were great. The value seems to be the main draw here as this place is a fair bit cheaper than your average restaurant. It is hard to find fault in spending in the region of £15 for a three course meal, although some of the pizza toppings are unfortunately lacking.The menu here is definitely on the small side for an Italian restaurant as they only really sell pizza or pasta, with very other options available. As a result, the starters are severely limited. They are also very basic, mostly being either bread or salad, of which the only exception is an aubergine dish. Given that they have practically limited the main courses to just pizza and pasta, there aren't really a great number of these to choose from. 19 pizzas seems like a lot but, as a number of these are similar to others, the amount of variety isn't as good as it could be. There are then only 8 pasta dishes, which would be a small amount even in a proper Italian restaurant. Aside from pizza and pasta, the remaining options are some salads, a ham and egg dish, and a larger version of the aubergine starter. When it comes to dessert, there are a total of eight options, almost all of which are either cakes or ice cream. While I was here I selected the melanzane parmigiana to start, the Fiorina pizza as my main course and cassata for dessert.Melanzine parmigiana consists of aubergine in a tomato sauce with mozzarella and garlic, which is then topped off with Parmesan cheese. The slices of aubergine were soft and really juicy with a nice strong flavour. While the tomato sauce was thick, it was still relatively runny. This also had a strong flavour, with the sweetness of the tomato being really evident. The sauce was a bit oily in places, but these patches were few and far between as the dish was mostly fine when it came to the oil levels. The garlic was rather subtle, with there only being hints of it here and there, although there was plenty of mozzarella within the sauce. This was very stringy and while I found it to be a bit too chewy, it had a decent enough flavour. Like the garlic, there wasn't much Parmesan in the dish either, with there only being a few flakes of it on top of a couple of pieces of aubergine. Unfortunately there wasn't really enough of this for it to have any impact on the dish, although tied together nicely, which made this an enjoyable dish.The Fiorina pizza is topped with garlic, spinach, a fried egg, olives and Parmesan. The pizzas are served unsliced, with no pizza wheel provided, leaving you to cut through it with a knife and fork. The dough base was fairly thin, without being too thin, while it was also soft. The edges were in contrast to this, being nice and crunchy, ensuring that there were a great mix of textures within the pizza. There seemed to be a minimal amount of tomato sauce as I couldn't taste this at all. There was a lot of mozzarella on the pizza though, which was much better than it was in the starter. This time it wasn't chewy, although it was still very stringy, while it was also much more flavoursome. The spinach was the main topping on the pizza, which I found to be chewy and pretty average as far as spinach goes. The fried egg was pretty much all yolk, with there being very little of the white at all. I would have preferred a somewhat runny yolk, but this was too hard for my liking, being completely solid. At the end of the day, this was another average topping as the egg wasn't anything special. Unfortunately there were only three olives on the pizza, all of which were black. These didn't have the greatest texture, being firm throughout. Although they were pretty juicy with a nice strong flavour. Unfortunately there was only a minimal amount of both the garlic and the Parmesan as I couldn't really taste either of them on the pizza. Both the mozzarella and the dough proved to be the key factors within this pizza as these were definitely the best ingredients within it. That being said, everything did combine together nicely as well though, making this really enjoyable.The cassata was definitely not what I expected it to be here, with it instead being purely layered ice cream, like you would expect from an Indian restaurant rather than an Italian one. All three different kinds of ice cream had a rather thick consistency to them although, while they weren't all that smooth, they were easy enough to cut through. The bulk of the dessert was the vanilla ice cream, which was unfortunately not vanilla flavour. Instead this simply tasted like cream. The next layer was a somewhat thin streak of chocolate ice cream, which had a very strong flavour and was rather sickly. The final layer of ice cream was a small plain milk one. While this didn't have much of a flavour, it contained several dark chocolate chips which, despite having a strong flavour, were fortunately not all that bitter. Small pieces of candied fruit were also hidden inside, which were soft but firm while being nice and sweet. A grape also came served on the side of the plate, but this was simply an ordinary grape and nothing special at all.There wasn't really a great deal to say about the service here as it was more or less what you would expect when eating out. Some positives were that the staff were polite and friendly throughout the duration of my visit. They also offered to put black pepper on my meal, which I wasn't really expecting in an Italian restaurant like this one. They proved to be fairly attentive as well, as I didn't have to wait long for my empty plates to be taken away once I had finished eating. The dessert menu also came straight over once I had finished my pizza, without me having to ask it, which I was definitely pleased about. The only negative aspect to the service was an insignificant one as they never asked me how the food was at any point, which is a standard when eating out. Fortunately there were not any problems with the food, so it didn't really matter.The value is definitely the best thing about this place as you are paying a fair bit less than you would usually expect to pay. Starters are priced between £2.50 and £4.60, which is undoubtedly very cheap as it's not often that the most expensive starter costs less than £5. Pizzas are then priced between £6 and £9, which is again very cheap and it's impressive to see that not a single one costs as much as £10. That being said, the value is perhaps not all that great as they can be rather stingy with some of the toppings, as I only had three olives on my pizza. The additional fee of £1.10 per extra topping (or £1.20 for the premium ones) is also a bit steep for certain items. Pasta dishes are then between £7.50 and £9, while the salads are between £8.50 and £9. The remaining dishes are priced at £6.60 for the ham and egg, while the larger aubergine dish costs £8.80. Finally, desserts are priced between £4.20 and £4.40, which keeps them all nice and cheap.This restaurant uses a minimal amount of decor as there isn't a great amount going on here at all. The walls are painted a pale green colour and this is mostly all there is to look at. Some masks on one of the walls, along with a single painting on each side of the room are the only things they have put up to decorate the place. The kitchen is visible from the restaurant floor though, so there is at least something else to look at inside. Large windows fill up the entire space at the front of the restaurant, which allow a lot of light inside. In total there are 14 tables inside, but one of these appeared to be for staff use as it was covered in paperwork and wasn't in an ideal location to begin with. While this restaurant was empty when I first arrived, it soon began to fill up. While a number of tables remained free, they were mostly small ones, so it is recommended that larger groups book in advance. Solo diners or couples should be able to grab a spare table without booking.

We went to this restaurant as it had been recommended. We had not booked, but they still found us a table. The food was excellent, you could see the chefs who were all working really quickly in a tiny space but all seemed to know what they were doing. We recommend the home made tiramisu that was gorgeous.

Been here twice before but decided to take my dad here. we been greeted with a warm welcome and they didn't mind that we didn't book. although it wasn't busy but there was a steady flow of people inside. Food is good value for money and have a good range of options. Staff were friendly although I would say could do with being a little quicker when we wanted to pay but other than that a good spur of the moment casual night out. Ideal for a little treat but would like to see more salad and gluten free options in future. Will definitely return
