Good place to have a coffee and watch the world go by, especially if you're sitting outside on a nice day.

It was an incredibly wet day and my friend and I arrived for a warm cup of drink. The staff were rude and officious when we sat down without permission. And continued to be abrupt and discourteous. I will never want to go back. Felt very unwelcome.

Staff were very welcoming and smiley! Finding us the best table to accommodate our baby in pram. The cake was absolutely delicious! We had the apple fudge cake and our son had the millionaire shortbread which also looked great but we didn't get to taste that as it was gone in seconds! :-D Thankyou for a great start to our holiday!

Lovely place for tea and cake - some gluten free cake options

A lively spot right in the middle of Lyndhurst high street; a very random find and I walked in simply because it was almost packed during lunch hours which is a good sign! And I wasn’t disappointed, great vibe inside mostly locals I guess, food options were simple but plenty and I tried my first Welsh/ Lyndhurst rarebit.. didn’t know what to expect so what I ate was good. Enjoyed a nice cuppa after alongside a lovely warm scone with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Service was all right. Overall a very good experience.

Visited several times. Sometimes just for coffee and cake and other times for lunchtime meal. Food is always excellent. Ample portions and the option to take home cake if you're too full after the meal . Staff are very welcoming and service very good. Prices are also excellent value. Highly recommended.

All very hard surfaces, so quite an echoey place. Dog friendly! Plenty of staff on hand.

Lovely place for a quick snack or a cream tea

Had an afternoon tea (was a gift voucher). When I contacted them to book they were extremely helpful and I was really looking forward to my visit. When we arrived a table by the window had been reserved for us. What I really liked was that you could select sandwiches of your choice. Cake of your choice and drinks of your choice which I thought was a great idea. The portions were extremely generous and equally delicious. The staff were lovely and attentive. I wasn't surprised to see the tea house was very busy and popular. I would recommend the tea House to anyone and I will be looking forward to returning. We couldn't quite eat all of our afternoon tea and the staff very kindly packed up a doggy bag for us.

We often pop in after walking the dogs and highly recommend the tea House. Scones are our favourite and highly recommended

COELIAC FRIENDLY! We went here twice over the last week because they could cater for me with Gluten Free options. They have a completely seperate gluten free menu, different fryers / toasters / butter etc. I had Gluten Free scones and generally could not believe how good they were!! We then visited again and I had a GF toasted sausage and bacon sandwich and it was sooo nice! Would defiantly recommend, and even better that they are dog friendly too! Thanks so much guys!?

Definitely not a welcoming place. I was made to feel that I was putting on the staff due to not wanting to sit at the table they offered which was right in the middle of the shop due to my anxiety NOT ONE of the staff smiled or said it wasn't a problem. Definitely need some staff training in customer services and smiling. Food was good but you should have the option of garnish on the side salad. BUT on the plus side it was pet friendly

A keeper.. if you want a good lunch, tea. Park in Lyndhurst car park. Exit through the back and find this super cafe on the corner of the high street. Gluten free extensive menu. Cakes of all shapes and sizes. Can't rate it highly enough.

Really enjoyed my meal..great ambience and great seating with a view to the outdoors . Only downfalls was the toilet which I feel needs refurbished and the cream in the Victoria sandwich should have been buter cream....the cake oart was delicious bit the cream was synthetic .

My wife eats Gluten Free and was really impressed with the quality of food. One of the best she had outdoors till date.

Came 2 years ago , went to Devon recently wasn't satisfied. Drove 1.5 hours from home to have a scone. Nothing has compared yet!

Me and my wife enjoyed a Fantastic gluten free afternoon tea, sandwich was yummy the scone was excellent one of the best we have had. Cake was spot on. And Bella the dog was made to feel very welcome 😁

This is the perfect place to break your journey to Dorset. It's just around the corner from the car park and serves excellent food. The gluten free options are extensive and both the sweet and savory dishes are very tasty. The ice-cream was also very good. This is our second visit and this time my husband had the GF scones and I had the Croque Madame. The staff are outstanding and couldn't do more for you. They were really friendly towards my little girl and had a highchair and baby changing facilities.

Lovely cuppa tea but sandwich was bland. Had a ham and cheese sandwich but it was heavy on the strong cheese. Very small side salad.

Delicious food, staff were very polite and friendly and helpful. Food and drink were served promptly and prepared to perfection. Went there some years ago and it was just as enjoyable as the last time. I definitely recommend.

We used to go to another tea room, but on popping in here one day, this is our new favourite, such lovely staff and the food is great, definitely our place to go in future.

Nice food and the staff were really professional. The “rambler cream tea” was pretty good value including tea, scone and cake of your choice for £8. Didn’t charge when asked for extra cream which was nice. Toilets weren’t great there was no sani bin.

Food is average and overpriced. Tables were kinda dirty. Sticky. I asked if I could get a damp cloth and the polite young lady wiped off the crumbs and previous coffee. There was something stuck to the edge of the table, like HP sauce or something. She gave it a wipe but most of it remained. They have a great location which will bring them business, but they are relying on that over quality. Scone was gummy and overly sugary . I ate half and left the rest. £9.50 I see the owners response will not explain why the food was disappointing.... And not even try to address the rather dirty environment. Rising costs clearly need to be passed on which you successfully managed so how about doing your part with standards, there's no excuse for poor quality and filth. So I'm editing to one star. Go elsewhere

Lovely cafe, simple breakfast with optional extras like black pudding that don't seem to be as available as they used to be. Not too expensive but did charge us an extra pound for our toddler who only ate a bit of our food. It's an extra seat and mess, we understand, but they didn't actually tell us so we didn't realise til we saw the receipt. Edit: D'oh! We did order black pudding, that was the extra charge, not the toddler! 🤣 Thank you for clearing that up!

We came here as they have gluten-free options, but unfortunately, they don't take bookings. So we had to wait until a large table came free (8 diners). Luckily, it was only about a 10 minute wait. They had a gluten-free menu and a GF cream tea option, although only one choice of sandwich, which is OK if you like fish. They staff seemed nice enough but not particularly friendly, no smiles, and it felt a bit like we were unwelcome. However the food was all very nice the cakes were delicious, some of us had to take the cakes home as we were full. The place was clean, and the service was quick. The place lacks atmosphere, but I would return when in the area, and I would recommend it, especially to the Celiacs community.

Mains were nice, drinks also. But cream tea - scone was very dry. Not sure if it was just a bad batch as other reviews rave about scones! Wi return to try again.

Really lovely tea house, we have visited 3 times now and every visit has been great. Food is homemade and delicious and the staff are really friendly - on our last visit, our server was really funny and we saw them making other tables smile too (didn’t get their name, but they had tattoos and an LGBT pin badge) Highly recommend the cheese scone!

Written on behalf of my mother that visited who wanted to write a review- Food was very lovely. However, felt very pressured to tip when paying at the till, the lady explained as it come up on the card machine (I didn’t have my glasses) but the lowest was 10% of the bill which I felt pressured into giving. Maybe the manager should consider increasing staffs wages rather than pressuring for tips, everyone works hard and many others don’t get tipped. If your staff are near enough on just minimum wage, this should be re-evaluated along with pressure for tips at the till by card, as I’m unsure who receives this tip and if it’s fairly shared realistically.

Visited with my family today. Great table service and the Cappuccino and scone I had were delicious. Only small let down was the surliness of the young lady who sorted our bill at the end, other than that a good experience

I was gifted a voucher for Xmas so I chose this tea house to visit. Was not disappointed! The staff are friendly and welcoming, attentive but not over the top :) The food was amazing! The posh afternoon tea is well worth the money! Being able to choose your own sandwich and change drink options is a big bonus! The tea house was clean and tidy despite it being busy, the staff didn’t stop. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Lyndhurst. We will definitely be back :) 5* There is plenty of parking just behind the tea room.

Good quick service. Lots of options for a dairy free/ gluten free diet the main reason we stopped here as it was well advertised outside. Very nice milkshakes. Good location set in the centre of Lyndhurst.

Such a lovely welcome and dog friendly. Fabulous brie and cranberry panini and served with a smile. Waitressing staff are all young ladies and they are a credit to their manager, working with confidence, using their own initiative, great communication with their customers and one another. I’d return for the service, the panini is an added bonus. Great little tea house. Thank you ladies.

Marvellous cafe, went twice during our holidays, we had coffee and that was wonderful. Then we went for lunch we had the *Landowners Lunch * ,( Ploughmans ) it was marvellous, deliciously fresh and really nice. Staff were lovely and attentive, the cafe interior bright fresh and clean.

Came here in 2019 and remembered how good it was and just visited last week! Hearty food combined with amazing atmosphere and sevice makes it a success, especially after a long walk in the Forest! Recommend that Apple Pie!

We have been twice whilst staying in the area and the food is delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The cakes taste homemade and the panini I ordered had all the fat cut off the bacon, which I really appreciate. Recommend the brie, cranberry and bacon panini. It’s a nice place to sit and relax too.

We had Valentine’s Day breakfast here and can honestly rate it 5 stars. Rustic style cafe with staff who make you feel welcome and valued. Breakfast was best I’ve had out. Hot well cooked food. Fresh tasty eggs etc. Toast and marmalade . Coffee great. Well behaved dogs made welcome too. Definitely my favourite place at the moment. For coffee and cake, cream tea or afternoon tea great freshly cooked selection. Great menu. All Meals sound good value.

This is one of my guilty pleasures. Allergen friendly, good selection on the menu, excellent service and yummy food. Parking is just off the high street.

Sensible portion sizes, especially children's. Multiple vegan options. Pet friendly (personally not a fan when eating). Can be cramped when busy.
