Amazing food and service. Food was fresh and restaurant was quite nice inside. Chicken was very tender and flavoursome.

I've been to the Luxor 2 times. The food is authentic and the place has a great atmosphere. If you are ever feeling homesick, it is the perfect place to go. I have recommended it to all my friends.

Great food and service despite being very busy

We had a fabulous meal at Luxor last night. It was Saturday and exceptionally busy. This meant that the service was a little slow however our waitress was exceedingly cheerful and helpful. The food, when it arrived , was utterly delicious and perfectly cooked. And to top it all a very reasonably priced bill.

Brilliant. Decided I wanted something different for my Birthday & had the notion to search for Lebanese food. Came up with the Luxor & the reviews were good so went over to Charminster to check it out. Well, once I'd managed to park the car, parking is a bit scetchy, everything else was great. Walked into the Luxor & was given a warm welcome & got seated on a leather bench seat with a big long cushion which was very comfy. I ordered some Baba ganache, which is a smoky aubergine dip with flatbread for starters which was lovely. Plenty of it, plenty if bread too, it was topped with olive oil, parsley & sumac. Delicious. Then I had a lamb tagine from the specials board on the recommendation of the host. Oh wow, a lamb shank with potatoes in a cinnamon spiced sauce with tomatoes & stuff cooked down, served with a mushroom pilaf rice. I thoroughly enjoyed that so I enquired about deserts. Well there wasn't much choice tbh, baklava & some other dish I can't remember the name of. Well I know baklava, like it very much but wanted to try something different, so went for this other thing which was cheese, yes cheese, topped with semolina, drizzled with syrup & sprinkled with chopped pistachios. It was sweet & desert like with this semi melted cheese underneath. It was quite nice but the combination seemed very weird to my palate, but it did kinda work, just took some getting used to, although tbf I did think at 1 point I should have ordered the baklava ☺️. I highly recommend the Luxor on all levels. This is a busy family run business, the food is home cooked authentic middle eastern & it is jolly well delicious. At just over 25 quid for 3 courses with a drink I thought was very reasonable & I will definately be going back. What is more, when I arrived there was a guy just leaving whi heard me say I'd seen good reviews,, he said he eats there all the time as it's spot on. Do much so that most of the other clientele were of middle eastern origins, some of the ladies even had their faces covered so you don't get more authentic than that. It was also nice & warm in there & I thought that I could easily be in Morocco or somewhere , I really enjoyed my visit, thanks to everyone at the Luxor 👍

A group of us 7 girls came here on Friday, and had a wonderful experience. Grace was super helpful in finding the drinks to complement our food. We had a mixture of dishes, chicken shawarma, kebabs, and some tapas style dishes and it was all delicious. The red wine was perfect too. All in all, great service and food, we’ll definitely be back.

What a wonderful family run business! I booked the restaurant as a surprise for my father’s birthday I asked the staff (Grace) to put my parents on a table for 4 telling her I would be surprising my parents by joining them from London with my son! She did a brilliant job keeping it a secret and it was a picture seeing my parents reactions when we walked in! The food was absolutely delicious, generous portions and so reasonable! The staff were so accommodating, and really went out of the way to create a wonderful memory for my father! I’ll definitely make sure to come back each time I visit my parents! Thank you so much! ❤️

We have been to The Luxor twice in the last month, both times have been amazing. It is a lovely small family run restaurant. The staff are really friendly, and the dishes are amazing. We can’t wait to go back to try the moussaka!! The mezzo is fantastic, and so are the tagines. The meat falls off the bone, and they are served in the traditional Moroccan crockery. Please go here if you are looking for authentic food, made by chefs and a team that really care about what they are serving 😁 the menu prices are very reasonable too, and the portion sizes great. Ps. You have to get the homous, it’ll be the best you ever have Looking forward to visiting again!

We came for lunch with the family, six of us in total. I've eaten this type of food all over the world. Nice staff, great food and at a fair price.. we will defiantly be coming back. It really is a hidden gem. Many thanks.

The chargrilled chicken breast was absolutely sensational. The salad was perfectly dressed. The Baklava was the win for the day. Perfect blend of flavors and spices, a cozy atmosphere and great dining. P.S- Please use fresh flowers or no flowers at all, I think the tables are better off without the plastic flowers.

One of the best restaurants on Charminster Road. We come here as often as possible as the food and the service are top notch. Highly recommended.

Looking for something a, little different then check out Luxor, in Charminster. Excellent Food, Service Good but can be a little slow at times, some background music would make the atmosphere more authentic, but overall still worthy of 5 Stars as You go her for Good Food.

Another great evening- wonderful and tasty food, beautifully cooked and in large quantities! As a group of 4 we shared hummus and flat bread to start followed by the enormous mixed grill platter for 4. Service was great as usual with Grace looking after us so well along with the usual banter! Perfect night out with friends!

Amazing meal and experience! This is by far the best restaurant in Charminster! Grace and Pedro were very welcoming and attentive as always. Moustafa cooked up an absolute feast that was delicious! Atmosphere is always relaxed and the food is always excellent!

Very calm and relaxed place to eat with beautiful music, friendly and amazing staff and delicious food. The staff are warm and welcoming always and full of big smiles. No matter how busy they are, they always make time and effort for all customers and that the food is ready. Amazing time there and never felt more welcomed. Cant recommend a place more than Luxor.

Hidden gem in Bournemouth, we rocked up without a reservation and they kindly let us have a table. Amazing food and great service.

This place is amazing. The food is incredible and clearly made with love. The staff are amazing and attentive- especially Grace and Pedro!

We were so excited to go to this restaurant after a 300 mile journey to visit friends…..Let’s cut to the chase…..YOU DON’T EVER dump the main courses on somebody’s table while they are eating their starter and then try to offload their operational issues in our direction!!! “We have got a booking for 14 and don’t have enough staff so we have to look after them”….YES I was actually told that! Then when I went to pay the bill I was offered £5 discount which I refused. Truthfully I would not recommend this place simply because they have no ability to deal with pressure or to resolve problems when they arise.

Shambolic service, our main course was dumped on the table while we were eating our starter and we were told that they were short staffed and needed to focus on a table of 14!!! Our night was ruined.

Excellent service and food! We had 3 large mixed grill platters for a group of 22 people. Everything was very well cooked - the meat was really tender and well seasoned and the service was great. I particularly loved the charred flavour on the chicken wings, whilst they remained juicy and delicious. A place highly recommended!

We visited The Luxor for a family gathering of 15. We agreed a set menu at the time of booking. The food was top notch, plenty of variety and very reasonably priced. They also took very good care of one of our party who is dairy intolerant. Grace is lovely and really looked after us.

Visited Luxor from Birmingham on the 24th. Immediately Grace & Pedro recognised we had booked in advance. The food was FANTASTIC! Mustafa the chief did an outstanding job on preparing our meals which arrived quickly and steaming hot. Pedro & Grace made sure all of our needs Inc the kids, needs we're met and the kids enjoyed their meals as much as we did. Highly recommended a visit here if you're looking for a middle East meal in Bournemouth . They spent time with us afterwards too. Excellent service, thanks for a fantastic meal.

Haven’t eaten in The Luxor for sometime, so were pleasantly impressed to see that it’s still as busy as when we were last there. We hadn’t booked a table & at 7pm we were lucky to get the last available table. Our waitress was lovely, very friendly & chatty making us feel very welcome. We decided just opt for meze type dishes rather than main courses. Had about half a dozen dishes ranging from humous to grilled halloumi. All were absolutely delicious. We also shared a very acceptable bottle of white wine. Husband also had a bottle of Beirut beer which he said was good. Lovely meal & sensibly priced.

This was our second visit to The Luxor and it was just as good this time as our first visit last year! The food was amazing, especially the lamb kofte shish and really good value for money. I brought my whole family this time and everyone had a lovely, enjoyable meal. The service was great especially the waitress who served us. Lovely meal in a lovely restaurant, will definitely come back again!

Ordered takeaway from Luxor, me and my friends. We were looking for a better quality wrap than what your usual kebab house serves. Oh my goodness we picked the right place with The Luxor. Food was fresh, tasty and delivered within a timely manner. I can honestly say, the perfect takeaway. We dealt with Grace on the phone who was friendly, amenable and happy to accommodate. For example, we forgot to order our drinks when we ordered food. Spoke with Grace, who rectified without any issues - couldn’t be happier. Overall, brilliant experience. Would definitely return.

We shared the vegan mezze, which comprised a wonderful selection of felafel, vine leaf parcels, dips and salad, olives and cigari. Then my partner had the mixed grill, whilst I had sizzling chicken from the specials board. We both chose Luxor rice, which is something like pilau but with a distinct note of cinnamon. All absolutely delicious and served by warm, friendly staff. House rose wine was ok. Overall a definite recommendation- we’ve rarely eaten better for the price.

Grace you are amazing, this restaurant is actually one of our local best kept secrets. Phenomenal food, the chicken swarms, is outrageous, and I dream of that chicken topped hummus forever. Can't wait to bring so many more people to this absolute gem.

What a wonderful restaurant. The food, typically Middle Eastern/North African cuisine. Wonderful mix of flavours that stimulate the taste buds. Excellent vegetarian starter mezze for two. The mixed grill with Luxor rice was cooked to perfection. All of this, coupled with excellent service, deserves 10 stars. Highly recommend this establishment.

One of my favourite eating out places in Bournemouth. The food is always fresh, the service friendly and prices very reasonable. Don't worry if you've never eaten Lebanese or Morrocan food before, the staff will explain the dishes to you. We always go for the mezze - six dishes are usually enough for three people - washed down with a bottle of the red Lebanese wine. Highly recommended.

Lovely food good service. Just what we were looking for.

The main mix grill sharing platters were really nice, along with the fresh bread, chilli sauce and salad. The starters, calamari and sucuk were disappointing, frozen, greasy squid rings and basic sausage. Overall, still a nice enjoyable meal.
