Today was my 2nd visit to Luna Rosa. My first visit in December led to my son getting me a voucher for Christmas. I loved it then and after today this has officially become my favourite restaurant. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxing and lovely. The food is another level great. The way everything is presented is mouthwatering. Did I mention how wonderful the staff are. They can’t do enough for you and are so attentive. Hope my son realises Mother’s Day is coming soon! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

I went to Luna Rossa with my aunt and friends on Friday 5th Jan 24. The first time I had been there, since it became restaurant. We had the 3 course lunch menu. Food absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Even though we out stayed our time - because we were blethering and catching up with each other from 2023 - there was no pressure from staff to leave. They were happy to provide us with extra teas, coffees, drinks. Manager and staff were amazing. Attentive, courteous, polite, pleasant, professional. Would highly recommend Luna Ross in Renfrew.

Food was lovely, and the portion sizes were very generous. The staff were attentive and very welcoming. There was no music on, so i could feel like I could hear everyone chatting but wouldn't put me off coming back. The bill was very reasonable for what we ordered for 4 people plus drinks.

Great service from the front of house team with great selection of cocktails and wines. Amazing Italian food well presented and prepared full of flavours thank you for making enjoy this experience much appreciated Luna Rossa.

Arrived for festive lunch 1 waiter no menus on table was reseved plaque as booked table no xmas crackers had to ask for xmas menu 4 of items thats on website not there food was terrible my friend sent hers back chicken on rice we had ordered drink which we had 1 at 130pm was there till 4 dinner plates still not picked up at 315 had to ask for dessert never came to table in between was not standard of last xmas meal at all wont be back and definitely not recommend was only 8 people all pm so no excuse theres loads of places to choose in area dissappointed

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal with all dishes being declared delicious. One of our party has to eat gluten-free and there was plenty of choice for her. We’d mentioned it when booking and the waiter checked who it was when we arrived - something that’s always appreciated as it gives you some confidence that the restaurant takes your dietary requirement seriously. Between us we had two different risottos, a burger, an apple tart, and a fantastically light vanilla and raspberry ripple cheesecake. With drinks and coffees it came to less than £70 for three of us, which we thought was good value compared to other restaurants we’ve eaten in recently. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived (5pm on a Saturday) but was filling up as we left. Service was friendly and efficient.

We visited early Sat evening for a meal for four! We have been to this restaurant many times as we live local and had heard it was under new management! This was the best meal we have had there! It was busy so yes it took slightly longer but that suited us to not be rushed in eating our meal! Service was great but it was the food that stood out! It was very tasty! We would definitely recommend visiting!

What can I say ,Luna tossa had mostly had a fantastic reputation,I had hear that this has been taken over so decided to give it ago . The restaurant has been decorated ,looks ok personally I did not like it ,and the luna rossa sign with the most on taken down ,feel as if the soul has been taken out the place . Waited about 15 mins to get a drink ,wasn't that busy at the point , Waited 26 mins for a main meal and I had to ask for it My son got the mozzarella sticks ,£7.50 this cost for two ,what rip off We had to ask for the black pepper came out in a container that you would buy in the pound shop ,halfway through my dinner I had realised that the carbonara was curdled ,although tasted ok ,never ordered that before so never really gave it a 2nd thougt Our bill was just over 98.00 for 3 people ,2 starters that definitely were not worth it , 3 mains which I thought were more expensive than before ,3 drinks each . What a rip off it's the most expensive we have ever been in there Toilets all the nice hand soap had been taken out the wall mounted containers and cheap hand soap placed in the shelf above . I could go on Seriously would my be back and I have been to Luna rossa on many many occasions,on fact always recommended this place to everyone. We did not even got asked how was our meal until we went to the bar to pay When we said it was ok the girl out her head down no apology nothing Very very poor service.

Changed decor more friendly relaxed atmosphere, food and service was excellent , change of ownership we'll done to all involved.

First visit, I had the pate which was lovely especially with the red currant sauce served with it. My mum had the minestrone soup which she said was one of the best she had tasted.

After hearing about this place we gave it a go. My family have been eating at piccolo mondo renfrew since I was in short trousers so I was keen to try the newest venture by them along the road. Inside the decor is nice and the staff that dealt with us were friendly. The food was pretty good but not quite up to the piccolo standard it was presented well but not memorable. The cocktail guy was a character and friendly which was good. Sadly while we were eating two members of kitchen staff rushed through the restaurant one already with a roll up hanging out his mouth. Then upon their return one of the guys stood behind the bar chatting to the girl who was there. He went into great detail about the performance of another member of staff and their history within the company and by the end I felt sorry for the poor guy being discussed. Up until then everything had been reasonably good but engaging in this type of chat was extremely unprofessional given everyone could hear it. We decided to leave and skip dessert and as soon as we left we both said the same thing, poor guy!

Never experienced this in a restaurant before. 4 of us for lunch - 3 of the lunches were lovely. I wasn’t happy with my chicken, there was a pink tinge to it and the texture not to my liking. The chef advised that the pink tinge and texture was down to the marination which is fair enough (everyone’s taste differs) but it was the attitude and unfriendliness of the staff that really shocked me. The waiter asked if my food was okay and I said it wasn’t but don’t worry about it I didn’t feel like anything else after taking one bite out of the chicken and he said “no worries, we will take it off the bill” which is standard in a restaurant if you don’t like your food. When the bill came the assistant manger words were “the chef said the chicken was fully cooked and we will not be taking it off the bill”. I said I didn’t think I should pay for it and she responded “that’s theft”. Wow, just wow. I am certainly no thief and we left the full amount, but never again. Customer service is key, and there was no evidence of this whatsoever.

Cabanara was dry and the manager wasnt happy when he asked why I didnt eat and I told him woudnt eat here again

Drinks took aged despite being on the counter already poured for about 10 mins apart from that the food was great & the waiter was so friendly !

It was Xmas so wasn't expecting to much. But came a way slightly disappointed. Had the Xmas dinner and was not impressed had been to two prior Xmas functions and had the usual Xmas Dinner but this was the poorest both in quality and quantity. Don't think I will be back.

I really enjoyed my visit. A lot of different options to choose from on the menu. And a thank you to the staff for a good service.

Christmas night out dinner and cocktails. Service a little slow to begin as was very busy. Server apologetic for delay etc. Food was beautiful and cocktails were well made and tasted beautiful. As night went on and got quieter service got better and offered more drinks etc promptly. Overall enjoyed food and drinks. Staff were very pleasant and attentive when needed.

Was out with a group of friends, booked a table for half 7, weren't seated till about 10 to 8 and then left till about quarter past 8 before being asked if we wanted a drink. Very slow service when ordering drinks and heard a few tables complaining about the wait also. Food was great couldn't fault that and the waiters and waitresses were great, just a little disappointed in the waiting.

The food was really great, we had the mussels, and then pollo Milanese and meat stew dish, all were very tasty. The tiramisu was delicious as well. We will be back!

First time visiting having previously heard amazing reviews of this place. The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly to a very high standard. However, the only drawback was the service was very slow and we were left waiting quite a while before we could order and had to collect our own menus, ask for cutlery etc. Despite this, the staff were super friendly and we could see they were all working very hard. A bit disappointed this time however this probably won't stop us returning in the future as the food really was amazing.

This used to be an amazing wee gem in Renfrew. However now the food is mediocre and the cocktails are definitely a far cry from the quality that they used to serve. Wont return for a while to see if they have changed anything!

ive been to this restaurant a few times its lovely food and staff nice prompt service, i was running late because of traffic and when i called to explain they were very understanding which calmed me down as i was stressed kept my table for me, great

Went here recently with my wife for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. Really nice inside, food was good and the service was excellent. Our waitress very friendly and chatty and couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be going back.

Was looking forward to our dinner on Friday, Not like previous visits as the service was not upto scratch. Not enough staff therefore the ones that were on under so much pressure. One bar person making up cocktails and serving drinks to the whole restaurant. Quality of drinks went downhill as night went on. Serving cocktails in prosecco glasses etc.

This is a nice, cosy restaurant serving decent food, however, we were disappointed with the unfriendly service. We seemed to have been forgotten about and had to go to bar whenever we wanted to order food/more drinks/ask for the bill.

Not a fan. So far up its own posterior it's unreal. Also had an issue with door staff and disabled access, entirely unhelpful.

Food excellent as usual. Waitress though had a shocking attitude. Table half an hour late which is fair enough on a weekend night. When we asked why a table was given to a couple who arrived after us i was told "they were also have 7 you'll get yours". Drinks were ordered before and during the meal and each time we had to ask 3 times where they were as she forgot to put the order in. Bar manager was polite and helpful enough. Food and cocktails were excellent as usual. Massively let down by the blonde waitress who had such a shocking attitude i refused to leave any sort of tip for the 1st time ever.

Restaurant has new chef and the food was not up to normal standard, in fact tasted totally different from previous chef. Chicken was dried out and burnt, vegetables were hard and food was very salty. Ordered drink twice but it did not turn up and the service was very poor. I felt standards had slipped and it’s doubtful we will return. It’s a shame as we often used restaurant

Had a meal tonight with my son. Food was tasty and well presented. A nice gap between courses so didn’t feel rushed. Good value for what we had, will eat here again.

Took my husband here for his 60th birthday with our family. I left ballon’s for the table which wasn’t put out ready for us when we turn up. The food wasn’t brilliant and the service, as I had to ask for the birthday cake. Then I had to go back to restaurant to ask for my deposit as it wasn’t reduced from the finally bill. If I never return to this restaurant they would have kept my deposit. Absolutely shocking service, that the manger said he never had my phone number which was totally wrong.

Macaroni cheese is absolutely fantastic, we could not have asked for more, creamy, cheesy, perfect portions and super fresh! Spaghetti Carbonara was the same!, absolutely fantastic. Garlic bread and chips are also just divine 😋 😍

When we got to the restaurant, my partner asked to make sure and the waiter told him there was in fact alcohol in the risotto. My partner told him he couldn't have any alcohol but the waiter told him it was OK because the alcohol gets burnt out! I asked if the dish could be freshly made without the wine but we were told the food is premade, not freshly cooked! So although the menu states to tell you waiter if you have allergies, they won't be able to cater for you anyway!! We then decided to leave as the only thing my partner could eat was fish goujons and the bartender had the nerve to still charge us for bread and soft drinks. First and last time coming here!

After a 12 hr shift I had intended to make my partner sirloin steak etc for a birthday retreat but wasn't in the mood. So, en-route home I popped into Luna Rossa to order 2 with intention of getting 2 lovely steaks with sauces etc etc. It was evening and I asked if I could come back in an hr to pick up order, no they would be closing.. Fair enough, I'll wait. 2 ten ounce steaks please, "erm, dunno what size they are) checks.. They have only one steak in the freezer. From start it felt he just didn't want to take my takeaway food order. Good to see in these times that this place is doing so well that it can turn custom away.. 12 or so customers were still eating in. I won't be back here.. What a, let down!! 😠
