I've been here multiple times with my young children and friends for lunch. Unfortunately I've found the service very unfriendly. The portions are reasonable but the food is expensive for what it is. The children's menu is limited and expensive. There are very few other options nearby so I will probably end up going again but it would be nice if it was more welcoming and friendly particularly to those with small children.

Lovely family run restaurant! I go here all the time with my family, and have brought along friends too as it’s so good! The food and presentation is great and there is a varied selection of dishes to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner times. The staff are all really friendly and cater to everything you may need. It’s a social, relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a meal in, very nice in the summer months too as you can sit outside in the sun ☀️ I recommend everyone to visit Luna!

Cannot believe I haven't left a review already! I've been coming to Luna's for a while now and it never fails to amaze me! Staff are so friendly and food is of really high quality - really fresh unlike some of the other local cafes in the area. This is our regular for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Yet to try in the evenings but I am sure we will. Menu is extremely vast! There is something for everyone :)

This is my local cafe where I meet friends for lunch or an evening meal it's not a greasy spoon nor is it a high end restaurant. The food is good, hearty with great portions for hungry people. They know how to feed people. I have never ever had a problem with the service. Sometimes the staff have been inexperienced but always well meaning. And helpful. This cafe is a local asset that we love. We can sit and chat, have a glass of delicious wine(house red is great) and chill with friends. Really child friendly too. But the breakfasts are wonderful too. Oh my word, they are. But for lunch today we had a sea bass, chicken and mushroom risotto, sausage and mash a spaghetti carbonara and an amazing lamb shank along with a seafood risotto. What's not to like. Delightful..

Just popped in as wasn’t sure what to have for lunch and had seen the food outside when walking past. We were not disappointed. Delicious home cooked chicken and mushroom risotto with a side of spinach and a huge lasagne and crispy fries. Accompanied with a couple of glasses of wine. Exactly what we were looking for very reasonably priced great portions and fabulous service . We will be back . Thankyou

Brilliant breakfast and great coffee ☕

Three of us popped in on a Sunday. No booking required and plenty of different size table options to cater for couples, families and groups. Family friendly atmosphere. Very clean and a varied menu with options for all tastes and ages. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. We had a good brunch. One person ordered eggs royale which came with an encouraging or generous portion of salmon. I love smoked salmon so to I’ll probably order that next time. Hubby had a delicious abs again, generous, club sandwich. I had simple plate of scrambled egg on toast but despite being a simple dish, it was still perfectly prepared with care and careful seasoning. The eggs were lite, bouncy and creamy. Each person’s food was prepared perfectly. The portions was generous and in line with the pricing which was spot-on for well prepared, tasty food. We all ate everything on our plates and came away satisfied. I’m sure we will go back.

Always my go to when I want a good brunch, their eggs royale is still my favourite. I always look at the menu and think I really must try something new but still not been dragged again from the best eggs royale in town!! Staff are always really friendly, good and quick service. My friend who is a vegetarian always finds something on the menu to enjoy to. There is indoor and outdoor areas for seating. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic spicy prawn qeusadilla. Very generous prawns and a crisp green salad. Utterly divine!

Bad very bad got the sausage egg and bacon baguette. The baguette was huge and the food inside was tiny 1 small sausage 2 bits of bacon and 1 small egg then I got a strawberry milkshake and there was gooey brown bits in it made me feel sick

Going to luna was literally the worst experience I have ever had, the way that the chefs treated the other employers is ridiculous, totally unprofessional and rude, treat people with respect if you want respect. The food was not good, my son’s sausage wasn’t even cooked and when I tried politely to ask if they could redo it the owner came to my table and told me that the sausage was cooked and if I wanted I could eat it like that or just don’t. Poor waitresses that have to go through this behaviour, so disappointing.

Nice breakfast and lunch menu but thought high prices for coffees and wasn't a great cappuccino. Bit like a milky coffee with bit of froth.

Went there for Breakfast and wanted to go to a proper local cafe. The breakfast was great, portion size was huge and the quality of the ingredients were amazing. We spoke to the owner and all the ingredients are brought in fresh for the day. If you're looking for a breakfast spot then you can't go wrong with this place.

I come sometimes, and the food is great but the atmosphere is dead in terms of level of friendliness. If I were a waiter and the same person came again, I'd make basic friendly conversation, but it's like pulling teeth even when you try to initiate conversation, it's just very serious. Small, friendly local cafe. I had eggs Benedict and a cappuccino, delicious.

What a disappointment ! We stopped here for a snack a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. So when we were passing this Saturday and saw that the proprietor had put extra tables at the front and enclosed them like a little terrace we decided to stop again. Initially we went inside as there were no outside tables available, but as soon as one did we moved outside and told our server. BAD MISTAKE IT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE It was almost as if we had left the building and no longer mattered. To cut a long story short I will just list the problems in chronological order . 1 when the server brought out our drinks we explained that we had just sat down and would like the table wiped. 2. She looked a bit confused and went away but didn't come back. 3. Another server came and took food order and I asked her to wipe the table , she said she would and went away, but didn't come back. 4 . The second girl came back with our food but hadn't wiped the table so we asked her again and she left our food with us and went away but returned with some spray and a cloth and wiped the table. 5. We ate our food which was really nice , but afterwards sat and looked at the empty plates for around 20 minutes. 6. We finally got a young male servers attention and asked for the bill, whereupon he said we had to go inside to pay. I explained that I had a bad leg ( I am disabled and have arthritis in both knees) and he informed me that I could only pay cash if I was outside as the card machine didn't work outside. I agreed to pay cash and he went away. He didn't come back. 7. After a short while the server who served our food came out to serve another table so I asked her for the bill and she repeated that I needed to go inside. I explained again about my disability and that I was paying in cash. 8. It took her ten minutes to come back with the bill then asked me if I was paying by cash or card. I asked her if that was now an option and she told me again I would have to go inside to pay by card. 9 . I handed over the cash to pay the bill, and left , exasperated and feeling like the staff didn't really care. When we arrived the welcome from the proprietor was enthusiastic and welcoming. But I can only add that the staff were useless and spoiled the whole experience. There is no excuses for bad service , please read the next bit if you are the owners. Training Training Training Your staff are your representatives and they can totally ruin the visitors experience and opinions of your business. It starts at the top and filters down , but so does the rot. WE DEFINITELY WON'T BE RETURNING BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR THIS BUSINESS NEITHER WILL ANYBODY ELSE WE KNOW.

Just moved into the area so thought we'd try Luna for a cooked breakfast. Instantly a winner for me as they offer fried bread; a rare commodity these days. The rest of the breakfast was also delicious.

Decided to have a breakfast here for two reasons, one an upcoming birthday meal and two, popped in for coffee last week and found the menu VERY tantilising! So walked up to shake off the cobwebs and walked in to a cheery welcome. Told to pick where we wished to sit, we chose the conservatory type due to the early hour, not that warm yet to sit outside! Drinks swiftly ordered and then we viewed the menu. A superb choice awaits any one coming here, concentrated on breakfast there are numerous choices from the full English to everything else, rolls, butties, baguettes and so on along with the options to add and subtract as you will. Having a bit of an appetite, we ordered 3 full English and a ham & cheese omlette for the picky youngest!! Food was served remarkable quickly and steaming just made hot - so we tucked with gusto! Decent sized portions so no complaints at all there - sauces are by the sachet, but quite happy to ask for more as and when required. Clean plates all round and four the four of us plus drinks is was just under £40, so excellent value and quantity there. Being local, shopping local is a proper choice, why go elsewhere!!! Looking forward to our next visit for lunch or dinner maybe!!

We only sat outside for a quick coffee so I can't say too much about this cute little place.the service was quick and the young waitress was polite and respectful. Nice coffee. Will go back again for lunch next time.

Visited as a couple for lunch and I have to say I was extremely dissatisfied with the food. Very non authentic food which was also very overpriced. I would not recommend and will not be re visiting.

Took a recommendation while at the skate park in the morning to go here, and we were pleased we did! So much more than a coffee shop. Main meal pasta was cooked perfectly, with sauce from scratch that was awesome! If that was not enough, the chicken nuggets and chips for little one was also made on site from fresh ingredients, and you can tell the difference. So much more than a regular cafe. Almost forgot to mention that the service and positive attitude of the staff that rivals any restaurant

Love this place! It’s our local, love the friendly staff and the food (especially the breakfast selection, their bacon is amazing!) Pizzas and pasta also delicious. They also do great coffee if you’re a coffee lover like me.

What a gem. Lived here for over 20 years and passed this corner cafe so many times. Lovely food served. We were unsure of how to order after waiting a long time Seating ourselves outside to be greeted. Staff were busy with a takeaway order. Would be good if their spirits could be helped by having positive feedback especially given pandemic and impact on local business. Keep going Luna. We will be back and we still talk about how lovely our meal was.

As a vegetarian I was disappointed and, quite frankly, disgusted, to find ham in the cheese and mushroom omelette I ordered. I can only assume that pans are not cleaned between orders.

Love Luna's they do the best eggs royale in the local area. The staff are always friendly, service is quick, great value for money. We sat outside so unsure what the arrangements are inside since the new covid rules but the staff where wearing masks and where adhering to the rules. Highly recommend, well worth a visit.

Lovely food and drinks, great service

While the food was lovely, the approach to COVID safety left me feeling uncomfortable. Tables were very close together, no contact tracing and staff masks not worn correctly. The staff are understandably stressed but that is no excuse for arguing back with customers. A shame as the lunch was fantastic. Maybe try again once social distancing is a thing of the past.

We were in the area to use the launderette and were fed up and hungry due to having no power at home. A lady in the launderette told us about Luna, and we are so glad we gave it a try. Easily one of the best cafes we have been to. Beautifully cooked poached eggs on toast with a side of thick crispy bacon, and good coffee too. The lady running it was lovely . We will definitely return.

The best cafe i have ever been to! I have eaten most things off this menu and it has all been brilliant, i am a bit reluctant to say it is good because i want the place to myself! Breakfast was not greasy and sandwiches are lovely.

It's a very comfortable pleasant place to spend time in. Plenty of choice on the specials board and the menu, at very reasonable prices. We could have chosen sea bass or lamb shanks, and any number of different pasta dishes as well as the usual italian restaurant offerings, but at very reasonable prices. We both had excellent main courses, a soft drink, and a glass each of wine, I had an ice cream and we both had coffee, all for £35. Lovely friendly efficient service and a nice atmosphere. I hear they do a wonderful breakfast, too. We may well return for a Sunday roast.

I have used Luna's many times over the last three years and have always felt well fed and well served. The menu is surprisingly varied for a small cafe and the food is reasonably priced, superb in quality and generous in proportion. There are always a number of interesting items on the specials board.The owner is delightful. I took my four grandkids there yesterday and respectively they had fried egg on toast, pancakes in maple syrup, spaghetti carbonara, and cheese and mushroom omelette with salad.

Everytime i go, never dissapointed its clean fresh bright with excellent food great service, lots of options. Perfect
