Lulu's Kitchen in Stockport

I must admit that although I’m a regular customer of Lulu’s homemade deli delights I’ve not reviewed it here before, or in quite a long time.

popped in today for a coffee & packet of bagels.... nicest bagels I have ever tasted. lovely lady gave us some ginger cake as a gift... it was so good. will definitely be back again. thank you.

Took the family for brunch earlier. Great to be served by fellow South Africans. Made me miss home. Really quaint, great selection of deli food. Located on the high street in Cheadle village. There is a big. We park in the street behind. Service was excellent. Will be back.

Lovely, welcoming people, who take interest in their customers. Friendly service and great food - breakfast in my case.

Driving through Cheadle we spotted Lulu’s and decided to stop off for lunch, I am so glad we did.

Place is nice , food is nice , just the young boy who served us was rather quite rude and had a massive frown on his face that never makes you feel welcome looked like he had just woken up with his scruffy hair and dirty shoes , a real shame.

Such amazing food and service from the owner. I can’t recommend this place more! I always get the salt beef bagel and a side salad, delish!

Really good bagels with tasty salads made a lovely lunchtime treat. Looking forward to trying other items from the excellent menu Wonderful customer service. Will definitely return.

Visited recently whilst in the area for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed a delicious and generously filled salt-beef bagel with an accompanying selection of amazing salads, I especially recommend the butternut squash salad. The coffee was fresh and hot and all served on compostable plates/cups showing the owners are environmentally aware too. The deli also stocked a variety of food items and their challah bread is fresh and delicious as well. I certainly recommend Lulu's Kitchen if you're in the area!

We have visited a few times now for lunch. Tasty chicken and salt beef bagels with gorgeous fresh salads. Friendly service and the ginger cake at the end of the meal is a lovely touch.

First class I was really impressed with the standard and variety of cooking. The best Chicken on Rye ever mmmm so tasty. Whole selection of Deli foods Breads and Cakes to purchase and really good wines. Add to this extremely pleasant service and you have a unique place. Local workers are so lucky to have this quality and good value take out option.

After visiting the local Alexandra Hospital I wandered into Cheadle Village for lunch.

Highly recommend you go to Lulu’s Kitchen. Great service, great food and great value for money. Chicken soup and salt beef sandwich on rye was just perfect with great fresh salads too. Kol Hakavod!

The only supervised kosher eaterie/deli in South Manchester, Lulu's has become the go-to place for usual range of kosher food plus the excellent home-made salads, especially the potato salad. Highly recommend.

Had a great visit, food was so fresh and place was clean. This establishment which is family run was a pleasure to go into on a cold rainy day.

After a busy morning shopping, I popped in for a quick take away coffee but soon decided to stay and enjoy a bagel. I found the staff very friendly and the food was delicious. I'd much rather support an independent shop and you get much better food than the average high street chain coffee shop. Well worth a visit!

Well the food is freshly made and apart from the unusual menu that's pretty much all the positives out of the way.

I popped in on a whim and ended up coming away with a shopping bag full of goodies. It's a friendly place with plenty of vegan options and the warm atmosphere made it feel like a community hub as the manager seemed to know all the customers. Niche selection of items especially for the area, great fresh bagels and hummus and a small frozen section too.

Good food, good service, good prices. And perfect for anyone on an 'alternative' diet. My only comment was that whilst it's great to see 'green' packaging for takeout drinks, surely it must be better for the environment to use a traditional reusable mug?

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly!! It is prepared by very skilled and passionate chefs and the presentation of the food is also extremely impressive! I will also point out that the salads are second to none! I Highly recommend this place!

Returning after some time away, I was delighted to (once again) have the best chicken soup I have ever tasted.

If you want fab food created by people who appreciate the importance of fresh quality ingredients then this is for you. All the dishes are created with passion and love.

I come here almost every day as it’s a couple of doors from my office. Always friendly, always good. Love the salads, the coffee and the chat!

We love coming to Lulu’s kitchen for lunch. The salt beef with all the salats is the best! Great with kids Nice and clean

I have visited the establishment twice now and feel compelled to shout out about the fantastic experience gained on both occasions. The food is to die for probably the best rotisserie chicken sandwich ever tasted, fresh salads with amazing flavours and everything is homemade including the cakes and biscuits... Great coffee as well as deli items available to buy this is definitely a must visit for anyone wanting quality food abd service with a smile

Food - excellent and very fresh. Both the salted beef and roasted chicken were amazing, definitely worth upgrading to the salad side which has tonnes of delicious flavours.

Wish I would of took a picture but just couldn’t stop eating ! Me , my husband and little girl went in for a late lunch .... was so delicious !! I had the salt beef bagel with the most delicious salad my husband the roast chicken version and we all shared a little taste of the chicken soup ! Really really enjoyed it and it’s all dairy free for me which is amazing ! X looking forward to our next visit ... great food really welcoming staff x

The food is fresh, interesting and really tasty. Nothing too much trouble for the staff and lots of helpful suggestions for meals when hosting at home with one vegan member. Love the protein salad boxes xx

Delicious food freshly prepared and very affordable. Staff very helpful.Ii would reccommend this for anyone wanting a tasty affordable light lunchtime meal. Only let down is poor seating but overall good value for money,healthy and tasty.

Love this place it is so friendly and the food is simple , full of good fresh ingredients and so tasty. The chicken soup is so full of taste and tasted so healthy too. Its now my top lunch spot in the Village

Popped in here for some lunch and decided to visit Lulu's out of the 3 coffee shops fronts which are next to each other in Cheadle, as it was the most welcoming. We had smoked salmon bagel and chicken bagel which were both served with a range of salads. Food was absolutely scrumptious! As stated in another review at first I was a bit distracted by the paper cups etc on tasting the food however this became secondary and will certainly be visiting here again. We also were given some ginger cake and the most delicious sugared shortbread to sample. I would highly recommend this place.

Had an absolutely gorgeous lunch at Lulu's today! Myself and my mum popped in and we had chicken soup, a salt beef bagel and a roast chicken bagel to share and it was all so tasty. Our bagels came with delicious coleslaw, potato salad, tabbouleh and other salad bits and it was all so nice and fresh! The staff were so friendly too, will definitely go back to lulu's again soon would definitely recommend!

I pop in regularly to get a takeaway coffee. Lovely atmosphere and good service. The food is always good and the service friendly. Home made corgette cake is terrific as are the cakes and delicacies. Eat in or take away. Worth a visit!

A trip to Cheadle to visit a friend of mine lead to visiting this local cafe. I have been struggling to find a place that offers one of my favourite indulgences at such a high quality, salt beef sandwiches, a guilty pleasure. Nice to pop in and grab some nice homemade cakes and snacks. Such a shame it’s all the way up in Manchester and not in London! Would highly recommend visiting.

Popped into lulus kitchen this week after hearing about lulus salads from a friend. Was really impressed with the quality and convenience of the takeout food and will definitely be working my way through the menu :)

I visited Lulu's with my husband, yesterday. We decided to eat in and were treated to a fabulous brunch, with fresh delicious food, great service and super friendly atmosphere. We had the smoked salmon bagels, that came with mouth-watering selection of salads. Then on our way out, we purchased a gorgeous homemade ginger loaf and some more bagels! Highly recommended little gem and great fresh coffee too and all at a very reasonable price.

Often walked past this cafe and due to limited time just popped in a quick coffee. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate that the coffee was served in paper cups and at £6 for two cups it didn't represent particularly good value. I have to say that the coffees were distinctly bland and almost undrinkable so we ended up throwing them away. We didn't complain as to be honest the staff, for whatever reason, seemed uninterested when we ordered. Alas, we won't be visiting again. There are plenty of other good coffee shops in the local area but at least we tried it. This is just an honest review of what we found..I am sure others have their own view.

At last somewhere local where you can get a good salt beef sandwich! Generously filled and quite a reasonable price relative to other places. I had the salads as well but ended up taking them home because the sandwich was so filling. Staff are helpful and got me cushions for the chair to make me more comfortable. Stairs up to the cafe are a challenge for me but I'll definitely go again. Note - there is NO dairy in this cafe so you won't get milk in your coffee.

I went with a couple of my family members and we ordered various different things. It was so delicious! I highly recommend this place.

A breath of fresh food served in a great modern setting by really friendly owners. Six of us went together and it was a pleasure to eat delicious freshly cooked food, all served at the same time at very reasonable prices.

I bought some potato salad to try at home and it was delicious. In the old Hale Deli in the old precinct they did a delicious potato which didn't taste of either mayonnaise or salad cream. Well so does Lulu's Kitchen's potato salad.

Called in to buy a loaf of bread and was pleasantly surprised at the modern décor and general atmosphere of the shop and café. The menu looked very inviting, salt beef sandwiches, bagels etc, all reasonably priced. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The shops sells lots of the usual deli type items, bread and meats, all nicely displayed. Would recommend a visit.

The food was very good and very tasty. We had salt beef and chicken on bagels with salads, but what was disappointing was that, although we were eating in, we were given plastic forks and knives and paper cups for coffee and polystyrene containers for the bagels. Not very environmentally friendly. I would have expected this if we were taking away but why not on plates and with proper knives and forks.

A small group of us, including two toddlers, came for lunch. The shop is beautifully laid out and accommodates children well with high chairs and several kids options. The menu is full of fresh homemade food and lovely healthy options. Between us we tried the chicken soup, vegetarian soup (courgette I think), hot dog, salt beef on rye bread, and chicken with mixed salads (humus, cabbage salad, egg mayonnaise etc). It was all gorgeous and it was definitely service with a smile, with the staff happily accommodating some requests for changes to our order. Generous portions meant I left with a full belly and the great deli items on sale meant I could take some home for later! A new firm favourite for all of the group.

Popped into this new cafe and absolutely loved it. Delicious bagel and salad. Lovely friendly people and a great atmosphere- will definitely be back soon to try some of the hot food and tasty looking salads.

I have been desperate to see what was going to replace Titanics Kosher shop when it closed and was a little apprehensive....however no need. What you find at Lulu's kitchen is a warm welcome and fabulous food. I stopped in on Sunday morning and took advantage of their fresh roast chicken bagels on offer......So so delicious that you cant just have one!! They also serve (dairy free) lattes and cappuccinos - so perfect for brunch.

the quality of the food is exceptional - the chicken soup exceptional. the prices are higher as it is a Kosha Kitchen, but the food they produce is very good

Went in yesterday and had a delicious sakt beef bagel. The bagel itself came with mustard and pickles and was accompanied by 3 small sides and a spoonful of homous. All three salads were just scrummy and I even bought some of the potato salad as a deli salad to take home from their takeaway area. The atmosphere was lovely and chilled and the owner, Lee, is as always just wonderful. So lovely to have such a vibrant place on our doorstep.

Popped into Lulu's for a quick coffee this morning. I fancied just a toasted bagel and although it wasn't on the menu, they kindly offered to make me one anyway.

I met a friend for lunch today in Cheadle, which as it happens has lots of places to eat - but only a couple with outdoor seating. We looked at their website which promised a new york deli style middle eastern feast and to be fair it did not disappoint!
