I never write reviews but I had to on this occasion. As they deserve it! We have lived in Gaston over a year and been finding it difficult to find a decent Chinese in Gaston and we have finally found one! Lucky House is so fresh tasty and honest on delivery times. Delivery driver is very friendly too. Thank you! Our favourite takeaway.

Ordered a breast of chicken and chips also fillet steak curry with noodles .food came quite quick food hot problem was chicken and chips chips were like oven chips not the usual chippy chips very bland and boring chicken was not well done and crispy as asked , the fillet steak curry was nice but the steak was slimy and tasted more like a brown chicken not steak noodles were probably the only thing I enjoyed.

Do not go here if you’re after fish and chips. Chips are like oven chips, not fresh at all. Fish was very bad. Avoid

Ordered banquet for delivery on Father’s Day at 7:45pm. Delivery said 1 hour but still waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes, so tried calling but phone obviously off the hook. Eventually drove there in frustration and they were only just preparing it. Spoke to someone collecting a phone order and they’d ordered theirs 45 minutes earlier. Didn’t eventually get our meal until nearly 10 o’clock at night. Father’s Day ruined. Won’t be ordering from here again.

This used to be the best chippy around but unfortunately they have started using frozen chips and savoury cake's , which aren't much bigger than a digestive biscuit , and they have gone very expensive ,

Twice we have had a delivery now with a variety of meals. The BEST Chinese food we have ever had and my husband and I are very fussy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED xx

Best chippy I have used in the Southend of Liverpool. Chips are brilliant ,and the meals I’ve tried are also very tasty.

Nice food but£25.50 for 2 meals is appalling. We're not here to subsidise your shortfall. Last time we visit here 😔

Ordered a takeaway on New Year's Day for 15 people, food was ready within half an hour and all orders were correct. The meals were lovely so highly recommend this takeaway

Our fave local chippy, they go a bit crazy with the onions but otherwise their food is really nice.

Delivery was taking too long, so ended up coming to collect it and the place was dirty and the lad who served me was rude. Won't be returning

Delivery took ages longer than stated. Only when I rang did they suddenly say it was 'on its way'. Food arrived luke warm and/or soggy. Reckon they forgot about it

Very busy and noisy, but clean and efficient. Good appetisers though avoid the onion rings, very greasy. Beancurd is so-so, and limited tofu options on the menu but they were happy to prepare tofu with different sauces on request.

Ordered big family take away for new years eve family get together, food was amazing. Thank you All the best for 2021.

This take away has been open all the way through Covid restrictions and yet locals report to us disappointment. We had 'cod' and chips which we had to return as the suspect 'cod' was in fact pressed together cheap fish and bits to make the look of a whole fish bus tasted 'off'. The batter was fresh on the top and old nearer the fish...probably to bind it together, The staff were amazed and didn't want to understand the 'compressed' fish and were more worried we wanted out money back than the state of their product. We are local and will not return. This is not a good recommendation of foods available to locals and visitors in Llandudno. Enjoy our fish and chips but sadly can't recommended. Sadly worst ever.

The food is fantastic use it regularly never had a head meal from this place and deliveries ate fast and your food is still red hot on arrival highly recommend this place

Used JustEat to try a few delivering Chinese, but now use them every time. Delicious food (try the Seaweed combination!!) - just as good as the restaurants and great delivery service.

Great food and people should go

We've been to this chippy on a number of occasions and usually it's really good, but not recently. We ordered three meals which I will disguise so as to protect my identity, chicken with Indian style sauce and white flakes, sour and not so sour with white flakes and feathered bird, white flakes with opposite of white bean cow. The rice I mean white flakes was really nice and fluffy, cool. All the other sauces were packed with onion and more onion with a sizeable helping of.....onion!! The meat was pretty scarce having been scared off by the sizeable chunk of you know what. Shame really cos this place is usually spot on. Oh well maybe I'll leave it a few weeks to allow the onion supplies to diminish. You get free onionless prawn crackers which were great by the way.

I don’t know if it’s changed hands but the food is just disgusting now. Chicken was too dry to eat, curry had no flavour and was grainy, prawns were rubbery, char Sui pork was also too dry to eat. The chips were just vile, dry and oozed fat or oil and looked anaemic. Delivery was late, always used to be very early rather than after delivery time. Very disappointed. Will not be ordering again which is a shame as we’ve been using here for a few years.

Great meals but chips are frozen.

Dreadful take away! I ordered 'beef with mushroom in blackbean sauce' ..so no green pepper, and i also requested no onions. When i got home two miles away...i found that they had give me 'beef green pepper and no mushrooms. The dish was packed mainly with green peppers and carrots. Furthermore, the chips that came with it were frozen...definately not fresh. tasted awful. So, too late and angry to pop back... i phoned them up and told them. They do delivery but said i'd have to GO BACK to them to rectify.... No way!! Many other Take Aways near there...i recommend you use them!

Not had a bad meal yet. Lovely staff, lovely food. Very good portion sizes. All round excellent.

Our new favourite Chinese. Staff are lovely and gave us free prawn crackers even though we only had a few items on our first try. Just tried the Spare Ribs with honey, delicious and was enjoyed by both myself and my other half Janeine, and we normally don't agree on anything. I would say the spring rolls are one of their best items; extremely tasty and quite juicy. Can't wait to start trying the different dishes and get a full dinner next time.

Awful. Takeaway is 2 hours late and counting. When I called up to ask how long it would be, the guy said ‘I don’t know. Only the driver knows’. Who knew the line of communication between the driver and the shop staff could be so impossibly difficult to penetrate?

I recommend the prawn toast food is a little more expensive but they make everything from scratch

VERY poor customer service. I ordered through just eat and they wouldn't deliver to me until they served their 'local' customers first (my work was 2 miles tops). Never ordering from here again.

Didn't receive my drinks that I ordered which was disappointing and the chips were meant to be salt and pepper but only came as normal chips. Will not be ordering from here again

Awful customer service. I have used this restaurant plenty of times as the food is actually nice however EVERY single time my order is late, mostly up to 1 hour late. When you call the restaurant to query the delivery time the staff are SO RUDE and just tell you to cancel the order if you don’t like it. Extremely poor customer service and we will not be returning customers!!!

I would highly recommend lucky house the service is very good and the delivery guy is very friendly.

after waiting well over an hour for our food, it’s cold and swimming in oil, the chips are stuck together. The batter around the squid is vile. I’ll never order from here again. very poor.

30mins late on delivery, but put down to being a Friday. Excellent quality food as ever, along with the usual complimentary prawn crackers. Portion sizes definitely seem to have decreased a touch though 😢

When you pay cash they are on time. When you pay by card they already have payment so take as long as they want to and keep you waiting. Nice food if you don't mind waiting for an hour and a half.

My food arrived over 45 minutes after the delivery time, an extra 35 minutes had been added before that. I rang the takeaway to see where my food was because the app said delivered and it was late, and the response I got was very rude from the staff.

Beef curry lacked flavour. Far too much water in it. Aromatic lamb was delicious as always. Service was slow. Delivery driver did not apologise for lateness.

The food is absolutely outstanding. Probably the best Chinese takeaway in South Liverpool for it's food. You do have to wait for it though. We ordered at 4.45pm and didn't get our food till 5.55pm. We asked them to call and advise us if our food was going to be late but received nothing. We have experienced issues in the past of food not being sent also. When I called to inform the restaurant they had missed meals, they claimed they had sent it and would not refund us, so I went to the restaurant personally to prove they didn't send it. Obviously all of our food was cold by the way we got back home. So disappointing as the food is genuinely excellent.

Never ever again...Unfortunately I won't be ordering again. The meal we ordered arrived minus part of the order. We rang and was told they would bring the remaining order as soon as. 20 mins later we rang again. It was agreed a refund for the food that wasn't derived plus a delivery of the missing food. Great customer service. NO.... 15 mins later we rang agin to be informed we were getting a refund delivered in a hour but no missing food. They hung up. Shame as we thought we had found a great take away. It's not hard to make things right. Oh and then the driver arrived. Nice guy. He took the plate of curry before he would give us the refund. The actual plate with the curry on!!! Customer service is nil, zero. This is not a place I would recommend. Wonder if I'll get my plate back!!!

We usually order from here every week however tonight will be the last time we have done. Food was late by an hour and a half, they sent the wrong food and the service was shocking. Really disappointed as we have been ordering from here for over a year.
