Love Curry in Cardiff

Service is fantastic food excellent....but you really have to think about ordering (chips) fries whatever...please LC I'm asking you to upgrade on the friendly potato your food service is excellent but you have to think your customers they luv chips ....im customers over 6yrs so don't shoot me I'm being honest your chips had to go fast! won't say where...but take this as constructive. Had a lovely paneer Tikka and chicken shashlick this evening from love curry. Food was very delicious, nice and tasty, generous size portions. Thank you! Edited to add: we now order from love curry regularly and are always pleased with the quality, value and portion size of the food! Love the paneer special, chicken tikka, saag baji and paneer tikka are our favorites. Always made very quickly for collection too!

Everything we ordered was delicious but especially the shatkora (flavoured with a citrus fruit only available in Bangladesh). Knocks spots off other curry places in Cardiff - no bland generic dishes. Extremely generous portions and good service too.

This place has gone down really bad... I "was" a customer for many years, and gave them break for a few months due to poor food. Sadly the food is even more awaeful, they even now have added a "TIP" online- which by the way does NOT go to the driver - They are abusing their staff, and their customers! NEVER AGAIN!

I waited 2 hours for my order, after an hour and a half the website said it was out for delivery then after about an hour and 45 mins i rang them to see where our food was, the person on the phone said they will go check and they'll be right back and put the phone in their pocket and I could hear them laughing and joking in the background so after about 10 mins my partner said they are going to have to go down there to see what was happening with our order whilst I stayed on the phone and I messaged my partner when he was outside the store to say I was still in the guys pocket. My partner queried where our food was in the store and mentioned that I was still on the phone waiting for an answer and whoever was on the phone to me panicked and hung up on me without saying a word after I had waited 18 minutes on the phone. The staff in the store rang the driver to see if the food had been delivered and I had just received it so messaged my partner who was still in the store. The person in the store offered us a discount on our next order but also stated that we had been incorrectly charged on our initial order as we had received a text the day before offering 20% off which only applied to certain items on our order and not the entire order itself. The whole experience with the service has been awful. The only positive comment was that the food was nice. Not sure if we’ll be ordering from here again.

Poor. Waited 1 3/4 hours for takeaway to arrive. Bland and missing the naan bread.

Placed our order at 5.50 pm Saturday 30th September said be an hour rang at 7.15pm said just left with order it arrived at 8.20 pm longest ever waited was very dissapointed with service as we use love curry alot, meal was cold chicken very chewy and nan bread was very burnt so wasn't eaten waste of money

Always used to enjoy curry's from Love Curry. Had one tonight for the first time in a while and not sure whether there is a new chef but it was a real let down. My curry was acceptable but my wifes chicken tikka masala was extremely watery and rather flavourless. A shame.... Will try elsewhere next time.

Reposting because my case was closed without any action taken! After spending over £60 we were hoping for a variety of tasty curries, however what we received was quite the opposite. The curries were oily and tasteless (see attached pics). After phoning up and asking for rectification, I was told “no worries, leave a review then”. Absolutely dreadful, AVOID!!! I had a bad stomach for over 3 days and they weren’t willing to take accountability of this!

Food far too good. We order twice weekly, actually gona ask for a ban via waistline!!!!!!!🙈Always perfect. Brilliant ❤

Food was delicious and piping hot on delivery. I had wait for my food to cool down. Very impressed with the taste I'm now sold on Love Curry just as good as a restaurant I had chicken byriani with a masala sauce the chicken pieces were so big I had to cut them in half. Prices were ok as well.

Excellent service & Delicious food.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! I've always considered myself to be an Indian food lover, but this has to be the worst take away to date. I ordered the chicken madras, pilau rice and keema naan. I collected the meal to ensure the highest level of freshness and once I started to open the boxes the first thing I noticed was the amount of oil within the curry. The rice was swimming in water and if you could find a piece keema well done to you. This is the first time I've ever added salt to a curry. Absolutely tasteless. Don't waste your money, get a microwaveable Indian instead.

Ordered chicken Saag, No taste, full of oil, absolute disgusting, after phoning love curry to speak and complain, the reply back was okay no worries. Straight in the bin! Don’t waste your money absolute disgusting .

I can't say enough good things about this place. It's now my go to Indian takeaway in Cardiff. Food is always top quality (I love a chicken pathia) and never takes more than 20-25 minutes from when you order.

First time we tried this takeaway,never again,had chicken madras with rice,chips etc,chicken was tough and chewy needed to use knife to cut into what looked like processed meat

Ordered chicken tikka massalla, with half n half. The chicken was succulent hot and the pieces were very big. The sauce was delicious and spiced just right. Very enjoyable meal 👌

Ordered king prawn pathia and keema rice Friday night. £10.95. When it arrived there were seriously not more than two meagre spoonfuls of tiny prawns ( not king prawns , just tiny prawns ). The rest was just padded out by onions. Total rip off . My keema rice didn’t have any lamb in it whatsoever. Don’t care what the restaurant have to say , they knew what they were doing . yeah I could have called to complain but that would have meant I didn’t eat with everybody else. Just reviewing to let people know and probably best ordering somewhere else.

The only curry house I order from, my order is always correct and piping hot. Lovely food, I've never not enjoyed my meals. I also like that they give you loyalty points every time you order which you can use for money off future orders.

Our first time using Love Curry. We were not disappointed. Our order arrived on time, very hot, well presented, and the driver was very curtious. Wow, our meals were the best we've had in a long time. Loved our love curry experience. Definitely will be ordering again soon.

Love this place, Tastes amazing and the portion sizes are great to get two portions per container. So many delicious foods and my friend got the phal and said it was delicious and could eat it all over again. Is it a bad thing to want a take out every day? Aptly named as one taste of this and you do definitely LOVE CURRY

Best place ever to get a curry, lovely flavours and food always fresh and piping hot when it arrives.....and one of the only places that actually make dishes to be mild when you ask!

Has been my local Indian takeaway for the last 2 years! Lovely food and great service!

Been using this takeaway for a few years now. Occasionally try some neighbouring takeaways. But always return, as they consistently deliver a really good curry. Their menu gives you the opportunity to adjust the food to your exact requirements. Definitely the best, on the west side of Cardiff.

Quality curry, quick delivery and friendly staff. Can't wait for more again soon.

We ordered a chicken korma and a lamb pasanda they both tasted exactly the same no difference at all. The lamb was clearly pre cooked and it was thin slices like from a carvery and just put in the sause. It's put me off ordering anything from here again. Sort your selfs out waste of my hard earned wages blown on this guff

We always drive past, but today we tried some curry from here. We ordered Shatkora very hot curry, sag aloo very hot, and lemon pilau rice. It was ok takeout curry in Cardiff. Portion size is large. Price is a little bit over what we normally pay. £10 usually, but this was £12.78. But at least we weren't going to bed hungry =)

had special biriani which was ok with a massalla sauce which was bland and very sweet wont order from here again

Chap dijo que lo tendríamos en 15 minutos. Media hora después volvimos a llamar y mintió que los había dejado media hora antes. Sabíamos que mintieron ya que no llegó hasta una hora después a las 8. 30 no caliente. Una llamada telefónica para decirles que llegaban tarde es todo lo que hicieron falta, pero eligieron la ruta mentirosa hacia un ahora ex cliente habitual. Inaceptable.

Ordered a curry each for 4 people all different curries. They all tasted the same, flavourless could not tell they were even a curry. The vegetable balti looked like every left over possible had been added. Prawn balti was tasteless. Chicken bhuna was so mild with no spice to it at all and the masala was like a korma. Would not recommend at all. Decided to treat the children first time in 4 months but we all had to throw our food away it was inedible £52 wasted!!

Open till late and has wide variety but very bland taste. I wouldn’t call it Indian as there were no spices at all. Would not recommend if you want authentic Indian food.

First time ordering from here and it was amazing lovely food took its time to come but it being valentines day it was to be accepted but really worth the wait food was hot and lush will definitely be ordering from here again

Omg! Best curry, perfect Dhansak, loads of rice, literally squashed into the container, onion bhajis nice and crisp ball style and poppadoms were amazing, fast service with a smile. Amazing meal!

He ordenado desde aquí muchas veces. Mi esposo maneja de Barry, solía ser una buena manera de llevar. Anoche comí un pollo Korma y mi esposo comió un plato de cordero. Ambos estaban sin sabor. mi arroz estaba flotando en el agua amarilla La comida de mi marido también era muy sosa ambas comidas eran absolutamente horrible. Estaremos evitando este lugar en el futuro.

Ordered a balti and created a pool of oil on my plate and had to ring back up to ask for something else. The attitude from the employee was very rude, did not care and hung up the phone without even a sorry. Very poor, won't be ordering again!

Ordered from here a few times now, the starters and naans are always excellent. The currys themselves seem to be a hit or a miss, being either fantastic, far too hot or really bland. Not sure if it depends what chefs on that night? Overall the food is good quality, just the taste seems to be inconsistent.

Some items were not delivered.

We used to love LOVE CURRY it was our go to take away. But the last two take outs have been really bland and just about edible. My byriani tonight had raw onions in it and raw tomato and cucumber on top, not good. Really disappointed considering it use to be so good. We won't be ordering from here again

I ordered for after the rugby turned up 5 minutes in to the game & wife was still in work so I turned it away & when it did turn up later it was cold & had no taste on the flip side Wales smashed England

Whilst taking a mouthful my partner realised that there was a plastic food tie in his mouth, photo available if required. He telephoned love curry and they assured us that just eat would be contacting us and that he had authorised a full refund. We have heard nothing back, and also no refund noted. We are very disappointed, looking forward to hearing back from you.

It was okay. Ordered chicken tikka dry they brought a curry. My curry was swimming in grease and the onions and peppers were hard. Naan and rice were fine. Wouldn't order again

Debería comenzar diciendo que hemos ordenado desde aquí unas 6 veces en el pasado y siempre ha estado bien. Sin embargo, esta noche definitivamente no estaba bien. Toda la comida era insípida, pero el panillo de panquería era horrible: básicamente un recipiente lleno de espinacas blandas, sin sabor, no cremosas, solo acuosas y empapadas. Lo tiramos a la papelera. Llamamos al restaurante pero estaban completamente desinteresados. Mala comida y pésimo servicio al cliente. Basta con decir que no volveremos a ordenar desde allí.

We've ordered takeaways from here about 6 times in the past and it's always been ok. This time it definitely wasn't. The food was bland and the sag paneer was basically a portion of mushy spinach: no flavour, not at all creamy, just soggy. We called the restaurant but they were completely disinterested. Poor food and lousy customer service.
