Lotus Restaurant & Take-Away in Carmarthenshire

We have just spent two nights at Caban Pendine and went to Lotus Pendine both nights for our evening meals. The restaurant is perfectly situated right on the beach front with a gorgeous view out over the beach / sea. All of the staff are really friendly and cheerful, they made us feel like the most important customers in the world. Great choice of menu and all the food was beautiful and freshly prepared and tasted wonderful. We are already booked in again in the near future and fully recommend anyone to go there for a great meal.

Great food, great views, excellent staff, what more could you want? There is a lift for easy access. I would recommend if your in the area and look forward to going back

Excellent food again. Have enjoyed meals here over several years, ranging from quiet dinner for 2, to larger family groups. Daytime lunch with wonderful views across Pendine beach, or evening dinner with cosy atmosphere - Always had very good food that looks appetising & tastes excellent. Genuinely friendly & helpful staff - always a good welcome. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our meals here, consistently high standards, always worth the trip out.

Best fusion food, absolutely delicious best Chinese l have ever had, done to perfection, well catered to my vegetarian taste and my husband who loves meat

Had a fab gluten free noodle 🍜 dish. I haven't eaten Chinese noodles for 8 years. The staff are very friendly and knowledge and they have a gluten free menu. Amazing place. Tx

Average food here with a typical Chinese takeaway menu in a dine-in restaurant so nothing special. The sharer starter was mixed vegtable rolls, prawn toasts etc which looked and tasted like a supermarket frozen pack. Service wasn’t particularly friendly which was the most off-putting factor. The venue are particular about the cards they accept i.e. no credit cards as it costs them too much in fees, but they don’t advertise this which can be a problem for those accommodating business meetings etc.

Not a great takeaway meal. Had a take away. From here, firstly the portions were very small, for the cost. 3 meals cost 40 quid and you don't get rice with the meal.. When we got to try the food and I was very disappointed, I thought the food was bland and tasteless. Wouldn't go again

Great chinese restaurant, tucked away and a hidden gem in Pendine. We had a walk on the beach and had the dog with us, so ordered a takeaway and went and got a beer locally.

Firstly and mostly importantly the food here is excellent . Dined here several times and never ever had a bad meal , really good quality , tasty dishes which are well cooked and full of flavour . Definitely the best place to eat in Pendine by a mile . This is the reason we keep coming back & will continue to dine here . However, recently we have experienced some quite poor customer service which has affected our dining experience, which I’d like to highlight . The owner is great , attentive and a real professional, as are many of the younger waiting staff . However a mature female staff member (presumably the restaurant manager) has come across quite abruptly , at times verging on rude. In addition, on 3 separate occasions we have felt very rushed , plates being cleared whilst still eating and generally feeling under pressure to eat up and leave. Resulting in a not very relaxed evening. This is such a shame as the restaurant is in a superb location , it’s spotlessly clean and the chefs certainly know how to cook great food . Would love to give it 5 stars but some staff are letting the place down a bit and I’d love to see that bit improve .

This was the first time we had eaten here and visited as a birthday celebration. The view is spectacular and the food delicious. Service was excellent from everybody that served us, please pass on our special thanks to the young waiter who was very friendly and was working so hard. As we are local we will definitely be back.

Appalling service, horrible attitude on the staff. wouldn’t bother going just to ruin your night by the arrogance of the staff and the food, No taste to the food. Rice did not get delivered so had to drive back. Food was also cold. Do not recommend this !

Ordered a takeaway, the man who took our order couldn’t get off the phone quick enough without reading the order back, when picking it up and getting home we realised food was missing. Calling back to say food was missing he said he didn’t even add it to our order, not helpful at all and will not be eating there or having a takeaway again.

Popped in for a takeaway after seeing the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious with plenty of fresh veg and reasonably priced and friendly staff. The restaurant had the most amazing views over the beach and I will be back when I haven't got grandchildren in tow. Highly recommended A hidden gem.

I had a takeaway from Lotus on Hotrods weekend as hadn't booked and it was very busy. Service was good and quite quick. The food was amazing, it was so tasty and fresh. Lots of choice for vegetarians. The prices were very reasonable considering the location. I will certainly be calling ot frequently when af my caravan. Highly recommended thanks.

Had a super evening spent at the Lotus Restaurant. The 'Owner' was so welcoming and friendly when we arrived. We hadn't booked and although the restaurant was very busy we just timed it right as she quickly made up a table right by the window which had vacated , so were able to enjoy the fabulous views over the beach. The menu was very clear and prices good. There was 3 adults, so had 2 starters which we shared, 1 rice, 1 chips and 4 main dishes. The food was really really good we just couldn't manage to eat it all. The bill came to £66 with 3 drinks. Wish we had such a nice place nearer as would certainly go back with no hesitation.
