Worst food in Renfrew, and not cheap .

RUINED CHRISTMAS! Called at the start of the week to book our Christmas Dinner (like we have done for the past several years) we were told we would need to come in and pay the deposit at the shop, we said that’s fine and we will be in on Thursday (21st December) just off the phone from the most rudest and condescending woman who was talking to her coworkers saying ‘their name isn’t on the list, it’s as simple as that’ in an extremely rude and cheeky manner! I explained that we had called but she just kept saying they were full, that she had taken 15 bookings that night. This wasn’t the same lady who took out initial call so we asked to speak to her. She said no we can call back later. Then started talking over us and told us in a rather threatening tone to come down to the shop to sort it face to face. So now it’s the 21st December and we have no Christmas dinner. Again we use here a few times a week as well as used them for our Christmas dinner the last few years. Never have I received such unprofessional and frankly childish service in all my life! I then see on face book after our call they made a post saying they were full for Christmas 😂 absolute joke!

The worst batter chicken ever tasted . The batter was way too thick . The beef dish was supposed to be steak, it was more a combination of square and beef. Quite a strange texture. Sauces were nice though.

Just had the worst chicken breast curry in my life. Sauce was red and not curry coloured. The taste was more paprika and tomatoes than a curry.

Only been to Lomond House a few times but never had a bad takeaway yet. Always so busy which shows it must be a decent chinese.

Food was fine, portions were larger than you normally receive in the various local takeaways.

The positives = the food was hot and wasn't greasy. Negatives = Didn't have any flavour. So bland. Quite expensive for what is was. I won't use them again if I'm honest.

Wrong order on one dish, couldn't get it to us and we would have had a 30 minute round trip. Offered money back Tasteless and dry chicken Worst Chinese I've had in a while

Asked for no peas but instead of wanted chilli in my breast of chicken curry and got charged 50p extra 😂👍 and the curry was not even hot like it was in a bainmarie and also was 23 pound for a curry from a bain Marie that's why it was cooked so quickly poor show folks and didn't enjoy my experience thanks graeme x

Food is good and plentiful but as others have said sometimes d livery can be 2 hours, to be fair food is always fresh when it does arrive

I've used Lomond House for a Chinese carry out meal twice recently and thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The woman on the desk was very friendly and efficient at her job and I didn't need to wait too long for my meal despite the kitchen being very busy with orders.

Ordered a fillet steak and got 3 bits of meat in a Mandarin sauce, nothing else absolutely shocking never again

Never seen curry sauce like it, bright orange in colour. Didn't taste good at all either... Most of it went in the bin.

Ordered food delivery for evening meal at 6.30 I waited an hour and 20 minutes when I called them I was told were busy its just getting made, poor service. Just lost a customer.

Fantastic variety on offer and well cooked. Large portion sizes means you can share between two if you're choking for a takeaway but also counting the calories. Can't go wrong here

I prefer lomond house Chinese to the 4 Chinese in Erskine and Bishopton as the flavours are more stronger and taste better

Food is very over-priced for a very average meal. The satay sauce is red, and absolutely disgusting. First time trying Lomond House as it has a good reputation in the Renfrew / Paisley area - will not be back!

Excellent curry sauce and curries.

We've been using this restaurant for a long time - even when staying in another town we travelled here as the food is so delicious. Try their crispy chilli beef if you fancy something spicy - or if sweet and sour is your thing, their chicken version is tasty. The staff are full of banter and remember your order if you're a regular customer. Sometimes can be a bit busy, but a phone call in advance sorts that out.

No frills Chinese takeaway. Don't accept any method of payment other than cash. Fast service, food alright - it's tasty but just don't expect high end cuisine. Make sure you bring your phone to pass the time while you wait for your order as the permanent interference on their TV screen will ruin your appetite, as well as your mental well being.

Had my first chow main from here at 16 years old and now 25 years later still order from here ever time I’m back in renfrew. Never ever had a bad meal. I literally fly from Spain for food from here! Amazing!!

Tonight I ordered breast of chicken curry chopped was nothing like a Chinese curry also got special chow man and the meal was tuff and dry only good thing was the chips and delivery time

No complaints about the food but very poor service. If delivery is going to take over 2 hours at least give customers that info so they can decide if they want 2 hours of hungry kids. Ordered dinner and got supper. Never using again.

Good chicken fried rice but they are way too busy. People taking orders on the phone, rush and take down your address and phone number, details wrongly. 2 hour wait for home delivery. Pointless

I don't eat many takeaway meals but, when I did I used to order takeaways from Lomond House about 80% of the time. Over the last year, or so, it has went downhill in the standard of the food delivery time, it's usually lukewarm by the time that it's delivered, and the standard of the call reception is abysmal. Wouldn't recommend it anymore :-(

Ordered two lemon chicken and fried rice. We're told 3/4 hour to hour was one and a hors before delivery. Rice very cold chicken congealed. Phoned to complain and asked for refund. We returned meal and asked forr phone call to confirm meal was inedible. We did receive refund which we used to get another take a way over two hours after original phone call. No phone call from original company. When i phoned again they said because rice and meal were together they could not check our complaint. Very bad attitude. Do not use.

Favourite Chinese by a country mile. Just eat would be awesome but food is always excellent.

Ordered a Chicken Fried Rice from this takeaway and unfortunately, found the 2 year old in the household, choking on a chicken bone FOUND IN THE MEAL. No where in the menu or shop does is warn you that their could be contents of bones in any of the meals. When i contacted the shop and spoke with management called ALLAN, he was disturbingly rude to me and refused a refund. I offered him to take the meal back for a full refund and he refused. He was totally unreasonable and i do not expect this level of poor customer service especially when they are in the wrong. I have now contacted the environmental health and WILL be taking this further. I would advise everyone to STAY CLEAR of this takeaway.

Been using this takeaway for over 20 years and never had a bad meal. Try their crispy beef - something special! Always get a laugh with the staff and Davie keeps a keen eye on the quality of ingredients etc.

At the weekend this is a very busy Chinese takeaway restaurant. The food is always good. We had friends visiting a few weeks ago from Australia having lived in England and South Africa and thought the chow mien was the best they had ever tasted. The restaurant is on the main road so parking can be difficult at busy times.

Never forthcoming despite phoning 3 time to ask and be told by staff that order was on the way. 1hr and 20min later phone call to house to say they found order had "fallen down the back" and thought order had gone out. Cancelled order. Customer at Lomond House since it opened but recently extremely disappointed with service. They require to train staff in order to be able to keep track of orders. Previously ordered carryout to be delivered to home, and 4 hrs later still not delivered. Not what it used to be. Time they paid more attention to customers rather that volume of what is going out. Having said above, food is good. Sort out staff and procedures PLEASE !!!!!

This place never disappoints, service is friendly and fast. Food is always tasty and hot. From placing order to walking out the door with food is always speedy despite how busy the take away is. Love the salt and pepper chicken, chicken fried rice and curry!

Phoned up to see what their vegan options were as it had rave reviews for it's vegan cuisine onlime. The girl on the other end of the phone said she didn't know. When asked if she could ask someone who did know she said she was too busy . This was after calling around 5 times getting asked to hold the line before being hung up on . Also the online menu didn't show wether the dishes were vegan or not. I'm not a vegan but my sister is and the customer service was shocking. Would give it 0 stars if I could .

Best Chinese in Renfrew however the worst home delivery EVER!!!! the girls on the phone are just rude slamming the phone down and leaving you on hold for5 min well over 1 hour for food and forgeting stuff.

I had previously rated lomond house a 5 star as it had been consistently good, but over last few visits not so much, but after my last visit it will be the last.. put on hold for almost 15 minutes to place order so much so I'd just arrived outside by time they asked what I wanted. After a busy day I ordered my usual salt & pepper beef but thought I'd get wafer prawns and chicken balls too.. £4 for 4 greasy prawns served on warm lettuce, chicken balls in undercooked batter and then the beef dish which had always been good as beef was nice,thick, well cooked with just a nice amount of onion & peppers was now as tough as fried beef jerky with more veg than beef in container. Time to find a new Chinese.....

Absolutely hopeless the person who answered the phone couldn't understand my question as to whether or not they catered for vegans so they just hung up on me 3 other members of my family also tried and all had the same result, nothing but ignorant unprofessional staff I won't try taking my custom there again. If I could have given minus stars I would have.

Picked up said chicken curry the carton was half full I put it on a plate and it was so oily it tasted disgusting I phoned the shop to complain and asked for my money back and I was told to bring it back but by this time it was in the bin would not recommend this take away shop at all

Got a chinese meal from Lomond House tonight at last minute as couldn’t be bothered cooking. Been a hit or miss of late but must say tonight it was lovely and better still didn’t need to wait for over an hour even although Renfrew is gridlocked with traffic just now. We both had different dishes and both were lovely
