Delicious food from the land of Argentina. Great flavours and ambiance. They have a great bar and seating area for groups. Must try the steaks. Quantity for dishes could be better though. Variety of wines to choose from Argentina.

Enjoyed a late lunch, where the food atmosphere and service combined to make a really enjoyable experience. And with the incredible lunch menu price even paying the bill contributed towards the enjoyment.

I used the private room for a birthday celebration. All the staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was terrific, we all had our food at the same time piping hot and really very good cuts of meat. I'd never hesitate to return. Thank you.

My partner and I tried this place out recently as she loves steak and it was... OK. We didn't hate it or love it but there were two main things that will stop us returning anytime soon. Firstly, both our steaks were cooked inconsistently. My partner asked for rare but it was half rare and half medium-rare. I asked for medium-rare but half of it was medium. How's that happen? Is part of the grill hotter than the rest? Whatever it was, a steak restaurant shouldn't get "doneness" wrong. Secondly, it was a bit overpriced overall which left us feeling short-changed after an average meal. Including the "discretionary" tip, it cost about £100 for two mains, one desert (their churros are quite nice tbf) and two soft drinks. Part of that cost was £8 for two small king prawns (about 2" big) on the side. I expect prawns to be overpriced but the size of them actually made us laugh. Maybe they should be called pauper prawns?

Great sausage starter and the mixed steak sharing platter was amazing

Steaks in extraordinary quality. You should be careful when order to get your steak as you prefer. The peppercornsauce should be with a nice little special taste - for instance made with green pepper or red pepper - but it is ok as it is. I have had the grilled gambas as starter which was close to perfect. As main the steak sampler - every steak made as medium well. Great! My wife had have the fillet steak well done which was great, too. The hand cut chips has been very well. Only our daughter was not that happy with her grilled chicken. It would be nice to have a classic chicken burger for instance as option.

We had Sunday roast from lunch meniu and ice-cream, it was fresh and tasty. A service was a little bit slow ,there were few waitresses, but had to wait a vile to be served. The atmosphere was cosy and nice. Overall, it's a really nice place for lunch/dinner I'm definitely coming back!

the best steaks in the UK that i've ever tasted. you won't get questioned when you request it to be cooked blue either. a true steak connoisseur! their cocktails are also amazing as well! a great experience every time.

We visited Lomito for my son's 14th birthday. He’s a bit of a stake connoisseur and the team were so friendly and accommodating, he was able to speak with the chef and manager. They treated him like a VIP. The cocktails were awesome. My son’s stake was beautifully cooked, my highlight was the corn ribs, the sauce that came with them was rich and delicious. The Lomito team surprised us, when they sang happy birthday to my son’s.

Fantastic Gourmet Dinner. I dine in great places regularly and have done for the past 2 decades, but this place Lomito has now got a spot on my top 10 Steak Houses. I was invited to a dinner with close friends during the week. This place location is great and parking is close by and easily available. We were allocated a great round table by the window. The entrance is wide and well lit with a great menu displayed at the front window. The ambience is simply stunning with a rustic style interior, great art, and home feel. The open style grill kitchen and the two levels make it really spacious. In addition, you can find private dining rooms, too. We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager Lara, who is an asset to the place. She treated us as well as the rest of the customers as her own personal guest, fantastic approach. Tables setting has a contemporary feel with high-end crockery and cutlery as well as glassesware and decor. Menus were concise and to the point, meat, meat, and more great meat. Special steak cuts, shared dishes and garnishes, and sides to die for. The same applies to the beverage list. The special selection of Argentinian wine is a great focus. The dishes are of exceptional quality, taste, presentation, texture, size, and flavour. We had an assortment of appetisers to share, tacos, sausages plater(beef, lamb, chicken, and pork) all freshly made on location. Grilled King prawns, empanadas, and great breadrolls with chimitchury sause. Steaks arrived promptly after the starters and were of exceptional taste, cooked to perfection. Dessert and digestives were also well selected classics but with a twist. Try Lara's special recipe Tiramissu, wow. This place simply captured me, concept, service, quality, location, ambience, value for money, and most importantly, the team led by Lara. Thank you sincerely! Can not wait to come back.

Have been here a few times now and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Every time we have been welcomed warmly, seated quickly (pre-booked) and been given the time to relax and make our choices. The wine selection is good and well suited to this place (one bottle certainly makes a reappearance on each visit). But the star of the show are the steaks! Always cooked to perfection and are clearly of high quality. It's a must try if you haven't been.

Edited in September 2023. Current review after recent visit. Huge decline in both quality of food and service. The menu was the same but obviously more expensive. the wine was 5 times more expensive than in the shop. So you have below 10 pounds wine for about 60 here. I would have expected 2-3 times but not 5-6 times. Not attentive service, messed with the order, wrong desert. The meat (the only reason we came here) was over done by two degrees. Instead of medium rare we had little pinkish well done. They changed the plates to ordinary cheap ones and the plates were not very clean. The manager asking about the quality was not even listening to the answer. We just decided to let it go. Never again! ======================= My original review three yeas back, in 2020 was For last two years it is my family most favourite restaurant in Northwood. Very good meet. Service is quick and friendly. Staff is experienced. Good wine list! Listen to waiter's advice which meat is the best! ===============

Been here twice now, both for special occasions, and the food has been superb both times. One of the nicest steaks I've had in London. Excellent and prompt service too, plenty of staff. One minor thing I would say is the range of starters could be improved upon slightly, and also could really do with more than one beer on draft (only 1 choice isn't ideal). But other than that its hard to find any faults here. Top notch.

In celebration of my son's engagement, we chose Lomito Northwood to celebrate. The food was delicious, especially the ceviche appetizer and the empanadas, as well as the steaks and broccoli. The service was attentive and helpful without being distracting. All in all, we were very pleased with the establishment and glad to have celebrated together there.

Food and service first class, really lovely people working here. Best steak I’ve had in the UK and the banoffee pie was amazing. One of my favourite local restaurants and I look forward to my next visit. (Would not recommend if you are vegetarian)

Unfortunately, I have found that Lomitos has gone downhill in the past year or so. So I feel the need to write this review. - Gambas starter is more often than not over cooked and mushy. Almost certainly cooked from frozen. - Glazed pork belly starter - there are often many pieces that are just pieces of fat. Whilst pork belly is naturally a fatty meat, good quality pork belly is not like this. No respected restaurant should serve pieces of pure fat instead of proper pieces of pork belly. It is also weirdly dry and seems to have freeze burns on the meat. - The steaks are no longer presented prior to being ordered. Perhaps another example of Lomitos becoming complacent? - The chips are now soggy instead of crispy. Importantly - being predominantly a steak restaurant. Steaks should be of the highest quality. Unfortunately in recent experiences, we have had to send back incorrectly cooked steaks, and also steaks full of gristle. Unacceptable. There are positives of course. And The majority of the staff are amazing.

I’ve been coming here for years, it is a good spot. Recently I came twice in 2 weeks and it’s probably going to be my last for a while. On the first occasion a group of 6 of us ordered our steaks and out of the 6 only 2 were cooked right. Mines was well over cooked but it was scoffed down non the less, no problem, I let the lovely waitress know. When coming again because, because I do understand there can be off nights I thought why not try it again, 300g rib-eye, I told them last time the steak was not cooked right please please get this one right for me. My steak came and again not cooked to how I asked, as soon as the waiter saw he can see straight away. Their response is they are busy, I’m glad they are busy but you are a steak house and I am spending good money. For a premium place and you pay a premium price it’s not good enough. Can’t believe I am going to say this but my steak experience at miller & carter has been better recently.

We just returned from monaco where we stayed for 2 weeks and the food and service is outstanding here..

First time visiting this restaurant but had heard very good things. For starters I had the tacos which were delicious. In fact everyone enjoyed their starters! For mains we all went for the rib eye steaks. Couldn’t fault them. Perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Service a bit slow between starters and mains. Too full for desserts. Will definitely return!

This is my second time at Lomito, Northwood. Its always a worry going back to a location you loved the first time in case it disappoints. I needn't have worried as it was fantastic. We were a party of 9 and all had the set lunch menu. The menu choices were good enough to keep everyone happy. I has a mushroom starter and salmon main. Both were exceptional and I will be ordering the same two courses next time. There were no delays and the waitress was brilliantly helpful and cheerful. Lomito Northwood gets a great big 10 out of 10. Thank you.

Beautiful lunch on a beautiful sunny day today. Lunchtime specials are great value. For £12 I had a steak baguette and fries. Huge portions of absolutely delicious food Please excuse the pun but the icing on the cake was the wonderful waitress Vicky. Very friendly and great service with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble

Great ambience ,nicely arranged tables , comfortable sitting. As a drink we have ordered a bottle of Malbec Punta De Vacas, an Argentine red wine, We have opted for three course Lunch menus. For starters we have selected Empanada and Chorizo Pincho . We preferred cheese Empanada , a crispy pastry, taste good. Two pieces Chorizo served with salsa criolla , an Argentine salsa. Main course consisted with Grilled corn fed Chicken, a portion of chicken breast served with baby gem lettuce, parmesan, chipotle aioli(smoky spicy dip) mustard dressing , and The Lomito - classic rib steak sandwich with red pepper, chipotle ketchup and potato chips. Everything we ate were less spicy and very enjoyable. The portion was just right for the price they offer. We have finished our lunch with Churros, three pieces of sugar coated donut sticks with chocolate and dulce de leche dip. Quite disappointed with the churros since it was very soft in texture . Well behaved staff , prompt service.

Fantastic steak & top service. We have been to Lomito a number of times as its local to us and it never failed us. This time we had the best friend of my wife and godmother of our son from abroad and Lomito was the first choice. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the experience was great despite been a busy Saturday evening. Everything that we ordered was cooked to perfection and to the individual needs and wad super tasteful. While to the cheapest place locally it offers quality that you havecto pay a lot more in the city. Looking forward to visit it again

Have been to this restaurant a few times and the food is always tasty The service is very good too. This not a great restaurant to visit if one is vegetarian as the choice is very limited. The mushroom starter was delicious as were the Churros.

Went for mother's day steak with in-laws. We were last guests to arrive that night. Excellent rib eye with good sides. And very good desserts. I must also commend the service which was very good and accomodating despite us arriving 45 mins before close of kitchen. I might just come again. Thanks!

Really nice good quality steaks, the ribeye was one of the best I’ve had, the fries were also lovely. The cocktails are also brilliant - I would go just for the tropical margarita which was a stand out for me. Reasonable prices too and nice chilled atmosphere, our waitress was also polite and very friendly.

A 5 star restaurant that serves the best steaks we've had in the UK. Great service too and knowledgeable staff. They don't rush you and we sat for quite a while chatting after or meal. All round, a lovely lovely eveningf out. Problem is, a week later we were hungry again! 😂

Visited as a guest in the private room on a Saturday lunchtime. The food was excellent - mainly steaks; perfectly cooked and presented. Service was first class; our waiter was very professional - friendly but unobtrusive. The only negative here was the horrid odour of drains, which permeated the air and quite spoilt the occasion. We did query it and were told nothing could be done as it was due to the rain. The main restaurant didn't seem to be affected though. I would visit again but NOT in the private back room!

Always have a lovely and positive experience at this restaurant. Steak is cooked perfectly with choice of 2 sides. Very rare to see a restaurant incl the options of 2 sides in the price which makes it very reasonbly priced.

We had the warmest of welcomes followed by great service. The steaks were to die for and once again proved we were in the only quality steak house around. The ambience and friendly staff make this worth our journey to eat there. The various cocktails (instead of dessert) are a great way to finish.

Very decent Argentinian steak house and more, great wine selection and friendly helpful staff. Atmosphere was a little subdued but that's a reflection on the clientèle not the restaurant. Fillet steak was a little over cooked but still good.

I have been eating here for a while now and have never had a bad meal the food is fantastic and the sevice is spot on with friendly waiters and great chefs, the restaurant itself has a really nice buzzy vibe to it. I had my birthday here last saturday with family and friends and had a really good time. Lucien our waiter was great . Sunday lunch is also worth coming here for really nice food.

Cannot fault this restaurant. We had the best steak out we have ever had, the medium rare rib eye was perfect. The service was good and the food come quickly. A little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. This is our new go-to restaurant!

Simply cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The staff are attentive, friendly and professional. The food is incredible! The ribeye melted like butter in the mouth. Everything tasted fresh and prepared with an attention to detail in n it's presentation. The pork belly starter cannot be missed. Price point is a higher than some other local restuarants, but reasonable for the quality you receive. I will be returning again. Thank you Lomito.

Not great if you're vegetarian. I ordered pasta with porcini mushrooms which I love. The mushrooms we're not well cleaned and the grittiness ruined the dish. I was barely offered an apology. I was very disappointed and will not be going back. The only reason they got 2 stars was my friends enjoyed their steak dishes. Lomito - Not everyone eats steak!

Disappointed by my food tonight. Sirloin steak was fatty through out. My husband's was lovely and lean. Will visit again as think this was unfortunate. Male waiter was very uninspiring, seemed like he didn't want to be there. Manageress whispered to her colleague as we arrived for our booking, this was unprofessional.

As I can’t eat diary or gluten, going out can be a bit stressful but staff were so helpful. I was given a chart with all the allergens in all the food so could choose what I could eat and then relax. When I picked chips staff even came back to let me know that they were cooked in the same oil as other gluten items. Such great attention, if only more places could be like this. On top of this staff were friendly, atmosphere was lively and food was amazing. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had and cooked exactly to how I asked for it.

I haven't eaten here for a while but the last few times I remember feeling like the vegetarian options were very limited and not very interesting. The churros are excellent and not to be missed. I recently discovered the cocktail bar downstairs, which is brilliant. Real pisco sours! It is quite dark everywhere so if you take elderly people expect complaints! Maybe there could be small optional lamps on the tables....?

Visited Lomito on a Saturday evening for dinner with the family. The restaurant had lovely atmosphere all evening. The food was plentiful and tasted fantastic. We skipped starters. Steak and chicken we tried was fantastic. Banoffee pie and churros for dessert which were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

Beautiful food, polite service staff but a dated and harsh management ethos in this restaurant means that our experience was tainted with unkindness and not feeling included. Needs a freshen up.

Staff here are fantastic, very friendly, personable, and knowledgable, Especially Syd our waiter, and not forgetting the manager Nicholas who is very accommodating. And top it all off the food is fantastic, we drank San Telmo Red, and enjoyed Amaretto Sours. Thank you x

We visited for the 4th time on 20th August with some good friends of ours who we wanted to share the experience of some excellent steaks and the Lomito dining experience with. As always, from the moment you arrive the lovely owner greets you with an infectious smile and genuine enthusiasm because she truly wants you to have a great dining experience at the restaurant. We were seated at our favourite table on the left as you come in and the cocktails were brilliant as an aperitif along with great G&Ts. As usual the steaks were delightful, beautifully tender, cooked to perfection and my 400gram fillet was truly epic. My wife had the sirloin, and our friends had the rump and fillet and all were very pleased with their Lomito choices, even the caramelised onions and mushrooms were simple, yet just perfect. The night was filled with laughs, great drinks, outstanding food, perfect service and you really do feel valued as a guest which is why we love it there so much. Keep up the great work, you have a winning formula that is simply perfect.

Great food, service and atmosphere!

Third time here, food and service excellent. Cannot get over how good the steak is. Had food envy over the lamb cutlets - immense. Wine was wonderful too. Can't wait to go back.
