Lolfa in Carmarthenshire

We just stopped off at the Llandeilo Lolfa by chance for a late brunch having searched on TripAdvisor for somewhere on our route. We were so delighted to find such a friendly cafe with an excellent menu including plenty of veggie options. We had delicious toasted muffins with poached eggs, avocado and wild mushrooms - all freshly prepared The coffee was great and the carrot cake muffins, too! Da iawn Lolfa! Diolch yn fawr.

Always really generious portins for your money. serve great coffee and dog friendly...winning!

We want here for a private 21st birthday.The canapés were superb and the atmosphere was electric.But as said this was a private prebooked party where we took the place over .

Food was not your usual cafe offerings, it was exceptional. Great atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff. Lovely venue.

Says on Google they were open on a Saturday. Very disappointed to see they were shut and the time was 11:40.

First time visit very disappointed with seating arrangements for 4 ie two small round tables pushed together leaving not enough space for food and drinks being a tapas menu lots of dishes. Area was far to loud with fellow dinners very difficult to hold conversations. Needs something there to soften the sound; chairs not that comfortable floor looked in need of a clean. Nice staff food arrived quickly and was in the main good paella left a bit to be desired, beef was quite chewy. Focaccia bread overcooked/toasted? Quantity ok would give it another try but will ensure no more window seats too loud especially as there was a bag of rubbish outside the window being ripped apart by a seagull not the best of views

Excellent Food and Service Enjoyable night spent in a clean and welcoming environment with very professional and pleasant staff. The tapas menu was varied and the food presented was tasty and plentiful. The wine and food all reasonably priced and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Went for bottomless brunch over the weekend for a birthday. We all thoroughly enjoyed and was amazing value for money! Would definitely do it again

Had a lovely catch up with a friend here, staff were quick and attentive and we didn't wait long at all for food. I specifically went for their protifterol special, but got the timing wrong! My friend had eggs benedict, and I had the chicken/chorizo/mozarella panini with home made coleslaw (a must try). I'll definitely be going back at some stage, to sample some more of the men! Conveniently located near town, plenty of tables and parking nearby.

Went in here for brunch, good start as we were seated quite quickly, and were told their service procedure had changed, so you now had to go to bar and order food, now their were three of us, so couldn’t go to bar altogether so two of us went up ordered then the third person went up and by now there was a small queue, but what materialised was the three of us eating and drinking separately, my food arrived almost straightaway and no sign of the others food, but as mine was hot food I started to eat, about 5mins later our first two drinks arrived, which had obviously been sitting on the bar for a while as they were both luke warm, then the second meal arrived, about 5mins later third drink arrived also luke warm, by now I had finished my meal and the third meal hadn’t even arrived. When it did eventually arrive the first two of us had completely finished, did mention to waitress when she came to clear the plates of the first two meals and she just completely ignored our comments. So even though food was good, won’t go again as when I eat out want to eat together. Plus someone needs to check the cobwebs in the front window🕷️🕸️.

Went there with my wife to get some food. We just walked in from the street as we haven't booked anything in town. We were just visiting as we are not living in Carmarthen. We didn't even know that they are serving tapas. Positively surprised as there is great choice of tapas. We took 3 each to share to try it and it was enough between 2 of us. Had a pint of lager and tea. We paid £52. Sounds expensive for 6 tapas and drinks but prices went up everywhere. The staff were lovely and we had excellent service.

Have had breakfast and early evening drinks in this place and can honestly say it doesn’t disappoint!! A warm and friendly atmosphere with high quality ingredients and great service. Da iawn Lolfa!!

Not great unfortunately. Table booked for 5pm to be told food service didn't start till 5:30pm. Trying to accommodate us as we had transport to catch so willing to bring it forward by 15 minutes. If I had known this I wouldn't have booked. Was not aware when booking that it was only a tapas menu. So we ordered the spooky cocktail as we saw on your Instagram page, and was looking forward to the theatre of seeing it lit. The drinks came to us with no sparkle. We asked why and was told that it had been done at the bar! We were sat upstairs so didn't see any of it! We decided to leave after our drinks and go elsewhere for dinner. We spoke to the member of staff when paying and she did give us 20% off our drinks, but the first time visiting can say we did not have a great experience!

Finley was amazing with us! There was 6 of us and we we’re pretty particular people but he did so well! Amazing 5* and will definitely be coming back!!!

Never left a bad review before but not happy at all. Over priced for amount (£10 for a small breakfast). Not very happy considering I asked for crispy bacon and it was rare, a swap for the mushroom which didn't happen. And absurdly got charged £7 for a takeaway bacon sandwich which involved white bread and two rashers of undercooked bacon. Also flat white had too much milk in my opinion. Definitely won't be going back. Two stars as nice place to sit and menu good just not enough and no effort to satisfy my request.

Great Tapas, with amazing staff. Alex, Ben & Hannah were great! Look forward to the next visit.

Lovely food, very slow service on a Saturday lunchtime

First time coming here and I would recommend and definitely come back again, food was lovely and well presented. Very spacious and not squashed together so no need to worry about covid regulations, plenty of seating upstairs as well. Nice to see a restaurant/cafe doing so well in Carmarthen.

Great food, and very nice staff. However, no COVID rules were being followed by customers or staff. At the time of writing this, COVID is well and truly on its way back up again.

A quiet evening on our visit, mainly due to international rugby and some horrendous weather. Yet… our drinks were great and reasonably priced. We were told that our food would arrive when it was ready which was great. Again pleasantly surprised that all our food arrived promptly within minutes of the order. Pork belly and lamb dishes were superb, supporting dishes of hummus and pita, focaccia, potatoes, figs and chicken made the whole experience enjoyable. Langoustines were a bit of a let down, as perception of langoustine to a plate of king prawn in garlic butter did not match the excellent presentation of everything else. This is merely a constructive view to what was a fantastic experience and we will be definitely be returning. This review is focussed on the tapas evening dining. I look forward to trying day time options in the near future. Great job all.

Went there last night with some friends and we were in Tapas heaven! Great choice and delicious food. The staff were lovely and we had excellent service.

Nice environment but staff weren’t in tune with our needs. I opted for the salad bowl but it seemed just thrown together and a peppery dressing poured over it. Disappointed!

More of a cocktail place. But had a lovely cup of tea & mixed sides of salad chips & garlic bread as a snack. Bigger meals available. Friendly staff.

Stumbled across this amazing place whilst away for the weekend with friends. What a lovely place so friendly and most importantly the food was out of this world. What a find, can't say that this often any more.

Newly refurbished, it is cool, low key, but also warm. Awesome breakfast (hand made hash browns, fresh sweet tomatoes, thick local bacon, and the sausage was out of this world! Not to mention the toast-fresh, fluffy, and charred to perfection. and they serve my favourite coffee, coaltown coffee. Perfection! Diolch
