Have been looking forward to eating at Lola ever since it opened so was pleased to find I could have it delivered. The marinated prawns were marinated in what & the Egyptian salad, which consisted of lettuce, cabbage, onion & cucumber was boring with no discernible dressing? The pizza ( choose your toppings) was ok but the base rock hard. All this after having to wait 30 minutes after the delivery time was a very disappointing experience, one which I will not do again.

The kabsah didn’t taste like traditional kabsah at all and the chicken was undercooked. Don’t bother getting it. The grilled chicken was bearable tho

Chicken was very dry. Kebab was missing lamb and kofta wasn't cooked thoroughly and was very pink. Called restaurant and owner was very apologetic and friendly but food was very disappointing. Shame as I've ordered before and it's been nice.

OH LOLA 👏🏾 Tonight you have gained two fans 💃🏾 Let's start with the garlic bread and the other with cheese.... Moreish, I'm very particular about garlic bread but you have managed to blow my mind, love the intensity of garlic, fabulous. Chicken Swarma, he loved the creeping spice, not over powering, moist chicken. The Nefertiti chicken OH BEHAVE, moist, tasty, frankly sublime. Then the Queen mixed kebab, wow 👏🏾 I don't know what you do to the salad to make it taste so delicious, couldn't get enough, heartbreaking when nothing left. Lets focus on the Kofte element. I asked to try it because all kofte to me is way too spicy it deflects the attention of the actual meat. I applaud you Lola. Your kofte is beautiful, its that simple. We are bursting with leftovers which, will be devoured at a later time. Thank you all and the delivery driver was fabulous 🤗

Great selection of vegan dishes, it took ages to decide! Food was delicious, maybe a little salty but good overall. Delivery driver super friendly. Overall wonderful!

Not one to leave a negative review but the food was awful. We ordered from the vegan menu. We bought the hummus, baba ganoush, falafel and vegan feast. The hummus is a salty goop, baba ganoush a slimy smokey goop, the falafel are like empty pockets of fried batter, and the vegan feast turned out to a be a quite nice but basic pasta dish. The portions are generous to be fair, but in this case it’s more to throw out. The Egyptian bread is genuinely nice. Such a massive waste of money and will not be ordering again. I would advise others to steer clear. They also forgot the drink but to be fair, the driver refunded me in cash. Go to Damascus or Bianco for nice vegetarian Mediterranean dishes.

I love that you have so many vegan options and your driver was super nice. He was very polite and sympathetic to me being in self isolation. However the food was incredibly salty! I barely ate 1/3 of both my pasta and garlic bread. Not interested in money back or anything but maybe review who taste tests your items 🙈

The hummus and size of it was great! Pitas freshly baked, still warm. Had some sort of rice dish, the rice was overcooked and a little bland, so wouldn't order that again - the only negative. The garlic bread was good and the meat feast pizza was good, but just needs a little extra moisture I guess it may have been the scorching weather as a factor to its dryness. Would order again, but make slightly different choices 😊

ordered the same meal twice before and was good each time. The pasta is usually nice, lots of flavour and no cheese, and the garlic bread thin and crispy. This time the pasta was covered in so much cheese it was like oil on top and was all overloaded into a carton ( seeping out at the sides) and to make matters worse had loads of black pepper on top? The pasta itself was very bland, tasted of nothing. The garlic bread could possibly have been okay if it didn't have loads of pepper all over it? I also ordered a salad this time and that also was covered in black pepper!! Not only can I not remove the black pepper as the food isn't dry and the pepper a fine powder but I am not sure that I would eat it even if I could because I just feel like the pepper ( and cheese) have been added to cover something up? It has really put me off and the food it totally inedible. I want a refund :(

First time ordering from here, food was really nice, arrived on time and was hot. My only complaint is with the menu, it is non descriptive ..I ordered Cleopatra's elixir drink and it was a chocolate mint milkshake and I don't like mint chocolate ( my daughter loved it though). Ordered 3 scoops of ice cream and it says to list the flavours you want in the notes area but it doesn't tell you anywhere on just eat menu or on their website menu what flavours they stock! So just said surprise me and got 3 scoops of vanilla lol :) As i say everything was nice, no complaints about the food, it would just be helpful to know what your ordering.

Stone cold food. Had to put it in oven. Very late even though preordered it in afternoon. Rice was missing with curry and man in restaurant said its not included even though it states it is. Really disappointed because its normally amazing food.

The food is not taste egyptian at all and the hawawshi was so bad, the order came with missing drinks and was late 15 minutes.

The food was far too salty some of the dishes inedibly so and the aubergine dish tasted like an ashtray. We will not be ordering from here again.

They always pack a good amount and we have no problem eating it all and then coming back to it the next day :) This is probably my favourite restaurant to order from in Preston and I cant wait to go inside and order when we can do! Ordered 7.30pm. Arrived 10pm. We got stuff we didn’t order by way of an apology for lateness. But then didn’t get stuff we did order! Once re-heated the food was actually really delicious but sadly the overall experience was terrible.

The food was absolutely lovely. A nice blend of flavours and delivered hot. I really appreciate this as one of the few local restaurants to label their vegan options. My husband loved the feteer. We will be ordering again.

45 minutes late, total wait time 1hr 45min. Some of my order was missing.

Vegan food was so good!! Best vegan garlic bread I’ve tried yet! 100% will order from here again!

Chicken was rubbery and pink. Garlic bread was not even garlic bread was stale bread over cooked hard as a board little cheese on it.

First time trying this restaurant as a takeaway, ordered hummus and pitta which both looked and tasted like shop bought. Cheese garlic bread was so hard and stale it was inedible, the bit we did manage was clear there was no garlic on it. Vegan curry was just vegetables in pasatta no flavour at all. Shwarma chicken, wow definitely the worst I have had, no flavor and actually pink chicken so stopped eating half way through, very small portion too. Good job really! And for this we waited well over an hour for delivery. Worst takeaway we have ever had which is surprising as the reviews are so good.

The food was delicious. Very impressed that they have several vegan choices. The only down point was that they had forgotten the pitta bread that one of the meals came with. However this would not put us off ordering from here again.

Food was very good and tasty but they didnt take off the 20% for takeaway as offered on the menu. Had to go back and ask for it then was told he didnt know how yo do it!! Not good when advertised will be more mindful to check.

Got a queens kebab from lola a long time ago. Very good food and portion size. 3 skewers of meat. Got a queens kebab a month ago and it didn't come on skewers and had one less piece of each meat. Got a queens kebab the other day and it was even smaller and the skewered lamb was replaced with 2 lamb chops. Also got a lamb kebab which was 3 lamb chops on a bed of lettuce (bread on the side) The lamb kebab on the menu is advertised as pieces of boneless lamb on skewers! For almost £8 each I'd day that was pretty poor. The kofta was not the same either. Very plain. Still shocked by the portion size and lamb chops.

Had a lovely evening at Lola which is a traditional Egyptian Restaurant situated at 119 London Road in Preston. The food was amazing, freshly cooked, lots of distinctive flavours and very reasonably priced. The owner was running the establishment single handed tonight due to staff shortages but he excelled in taking orders in the restaurant, cooking all the food, whilst at the same time taking orders over the phone for the take-away side of the business. That was multi-tasking at its very best as the food was absolutely delicious. The place opens around 3.00pm till 10.30pm on a Sunday and 5.00pm 11.30pm rest of the week but stays open till midnight Friday and Saturday evenings. Would recommend the Queen Mixed Kebab which was a selection of chicken, lamb and Pork served on a bed of salad and the Nefertiti Chicken Grill which was a freshly cooked chicken beast stuffed with parsley, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese covered in a tomato sauce served on a bed of mixed spicy rice and salad. Both dishes were superb and both under a tenner each. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with middle eastern music playing in the background which compliments the place. It's lovely and clean with the tables well spaced out for privacy. Will be back again when next staying in Preston.

Very tasty food and delicious BBQ. The atmosphere is warm and price is reasonable. I do recommend this restaurant.

Our favourite food in Preston by far, the Shawarma is EXCELLENT! Sometimes delivery availability can be a little unpredictable though, so double check before you order. It is worth going to collect it if they aren't delivering that night though, they are that good!

This place is fantastic for vegan and vegetarian food. There’s a great range and they even do vegan cheese. The decorations inside give it a whimsical feel and is unlike any other place in preston. The food is always fresh and delicious. I would recommend to anyone. The portion sizes are also very generous so it’s great value for money!

Delicious food. Everything thoroughly enjoyed. A top tip from my partner - put a bit of greaseproof paper under the pizza in the box to stop it sticking.
