Loco Mexicano in City of London, Westminster

To put this in a nutshell we had garlic breaded mushrooms and garlic bread for starters. 4 cocktails which wasn’t even great and 4 tequila shots. We didn’t even have a main course baring in mind. All of that come to £96!!!!! I was gobsmacked I know it’s London but still was not worth that at all. Never again!

Absolutely amazing restaurant, I had dinner with my friend who is half Mexican, we both loved the food, we followed Ozge’s recommendations and it was great, Atte also looked after us, genuine kindness, it’s not easy to find these days. Definitely recommend.

Very nice food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! If you feel like wearing a sombrero, this is the place to go (they provide one if you want to immerse yourself in the mexican vibe!)

Stayed nearby on a business trip, Stuck with mains only, friend had the ribs and fires which he was impressed with and I had the T bone steak which was lovely The price of the food was excellent for central London however the drink were slightly overpriced compared to the food. That being said it was a really good meal and the derive was excellent

Short trip to London and found this amazing Mexican restaurant and the food and service was exceptional From first walking in the atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly and attentive . The cocktails were probably the best we have had and the value for money was second to non . The food was delicious and home made . What a great find . We had a great night and would highly recommend to those in locality . Lastly one of our party was celebrating birthday which we only mentioned in passing and they went of their way to make her feel special . If we lived local it would definitely be go to restaurant . Clearly it was busy so other no doubt feel the same . Highly recommend . Don’t normally do reviews but felt we had to for this restaurant .above and beyond . Go along and try .

Nice Tex Mex place but very high prices for food and drink. Wide range of Alcohol, spirits, iscocktails 🍸🍹, Beers 🍺 🍻 and liquors. Cocktail prices are highest in Victoria 🥃🍸. A nice atmosphere with Hispanic and Latin music playing 🎶 🎸🎵. portions size ok Good location not far from Victoria. Servers were very attentive And friendly. In a very vibrant street with lots going on.

My wife and I went here on Saturday 13th January 2024. We ordered cocktails, starters & a main course each. The starters arrived very quickly, before the cocktails! Before we had finished our starters the main courses were brought to the table. My wifes main course was tepid, so it was sent back. We finished our mains and the plates were taken away, no member of staff asked if we would like to see the dessert menu. After 30 minutes I asked for the bill, 10% service had been added, I said that I was not going to pay the service charge and explained why, the 10% was removed from our bill. Overall the food was very good, but the service was abysmal, we felt rushed. Maybe it's the way now, but I thought you had coctails, followed by a starter and then the main course. Having read the reviews beforehand about the delays, I was bit apprehensive, but we got the opposite.

Rico. Recomiendo pedir directamente los tacos y los nachos. Las costillas tienen súper buena pinta y estaban ricas pero los tacos nos sorprendieron muy positivamente. Los nachos también estaban bastante ricos. Por lo general de precio nos pareció algo caro pero tampoco desorbitado.

We have eaten here before when travelling to London and chose to come back after a previous positive experience. We weren't disappointed. The service and food were top notch and we shall be back when next in the area.

La chuleta T-bone típica inglesa estaba muy rica 😋😋😋

We used Loco Mexicana for our staff Christmas party this year, and it ticked every box. Excellent food, calm and swift service, good wine and beer and a lovely atmoshpere/environment. Our staff had an amazing time and the whole evening went with a swing. Everyone agreed the food was excellent. I'll be back soon for a more intimate meal. Many thanks

Delicious food and very mexican vibe!

Although the staff was really attentive the food was quite a letdown. No real Mexican flavours nor the atmosphere. The restaurant is highly decorated but big groups will be escorted to the cellar which wasn’t glam. Food just not for me only the plates were nice.

A short walk from my hotel. I went in the afternoon and was the only one there. I think it picks up for dinner. But I didn't mind.. being from California, I was missing Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. I had the beef Chimichunga and it was delicious. The meat has an excellent spice on it with just enough heat. It only comes with sour cream, but you can get guacamole if you need some. This burrito filled me up! And the blue margarita was very tasty, even though it's not blue lol. The elevator music created a nice ambiance and the decor is inviting. Give this place a try!!

Nice cosy restaurant. Went there for a work do and they accommodated us very well. The food was good as well. I'm not sure if we were supposed to but we played around with their sombrero.

Go here very often. Had a lovely meal with cocktails. Great ambience and friendly and efficient staff. Sadly, there is no Happy Hour in December though this wasn't obvious. Lucky we asked !.......

Great Mexican restaurant a few mins from Victoria station. The service was extremely good and the food was cooked with love. Try the spicy chicken tacos, as well as the chips and salsa/ hummus plates - wow!

When I arrived at the restaurant, it was nearly deserted because I had gone there quite early. I didn't have much time to order a substantial meal, so I opted for their two-course lunch menu, which allowed me to choose a starter and a main course for less than £13, although I can't recall the exact price. The calamari I ordered was a bit greasy but still quite enjoyable. The food was satisfactory considering the price. The atmosphere was warm and charming, with artistic decor on the walls and throughout the interior. The staff members were welcoming and provided assistance when needed."

Min man och jag var här 2019 och tyckte att det var en mysig restaurang med god mat och trevlig atmosfär. Nu är vi åter här och vill även ge den känslan till våra vänner. Lika trevligt nu och med en mysig mexikansk känsla. Supergod mat också. Här finns inget att klaga på utan rekommenderas starkt.

The chilli con-carne was amazing, but the chicken soup of the day was served cold at temperature. Drinks were 10/10 and the hats given to us after we ordered were fun. However, while we were still eating around 11:10pm we were disrespectfully delivered our bill despite the restaurant closing at 12am. No main dish plates should be taken from our table until everyone is finished! It’s impolite to have one friend with no plate whilst the rest of us are still chewing! The rush and the staring at us just made us feel unwelcome and uneasy.

Popped in here today & realised we had very little time to catch our trains. The waitress was super friendly & efficient & said she would put in the order immediately.The food prawn skewers with pineapple salsa arrived super quick..& were utterly delicious 😋 Our drinks were gorgeous but my Margherita was divine.We asked for the bill which was sorted equally quickly.Kudos to the fantastic waitress who was so keen to help & the visit was just flawless! Will be back next time in London 😊💥👏

Called in after seeing a show nearby. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. Cocktails were also very good! Would recommend booking a table as it is very busy. We were lucky to get there early (5:30) as the place soon filled up and by the time we left people were queuing up outside to get in.

We stumbled upon this place by chance as we were in the area for a show! Food, ambience, staff, cocktails amazing! The best Mexican food I’ve eaten in a long time. We had the Nachos to share ( these were amazing I could have ordered another portion) and I had the spicy chicken tacos, these were so filling and so so tasty, they came with all the extras you would want on your tacos. My partner had the chicken skewers which looked delicious and amazing value for money! Washed down with a Frozen Margarita! We will definitely recommend to friends and family visiting and we will be back when in the area again!

We were there for lunch and can only recommend it. There is a really cheap lunch offer, the food tasted good and the portions were absolutely sufficient for the low price. We would go again!

We decided to stop in here for dinner since we had not had Mexican food since we started traveling in us. There were no complimentary chips and salsa provided, which we were looking forward to nor did Europe. They offered indoor and outdoor seating and the restaurant was packed. I suggest making a reservation to ensure you get a table. We ordered the chicken chimichanga and chicken burrito. Both were excellent. The portion sizes were much smaller than what you get in the U.S. but were sufficient for we see an option to order on the menu. We ordered the frozen strawberry margarita that were just okay. They arrived in a martini glass (very small) for the price they charged.

I write this still sat in the restaurant but I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff. Our little boy wasn't feeling very well and was kicking up a fuss and the staff made me feel so much better when I was trying to sort him. As a new mum it honestly meant the world. And the food is absolutely amazing 👏

We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The 4 of us all ordered different dishes and thought they were all good, with the right amount of spice.

Superb. My family and I absolutely loved this spot. We waited 45 minutes for the food but it was honestly worth it. The tacos and burritos were delicious however the tacos were slightly too hard and there was not enough salad in my opinion. However, I definitely recommend.

I was excited to try Loco Mexicano, but unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't meet my expectations for a Mexican meal. We ordered the peri-peri chicken with grilled pineapples and the vegetarian Tacos (see images), and both dishes were lacking in flavor and authenticity. It was not the Mexican culinary experience I was hoping for especially for the price.

Empfehlenswert! Wir waren sehr spontan hier beim Essen. Vorbeigelaufen, draußen war ein Tisch frei und den haben wir geschnappt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen lecker. Es ging auch alles sehr flott. Wir hatten zu zweit eine Vorspeise und jeder ein Hauptgericht (Burrito und Enchilada). Ich glaube als Erwachsener mit etwas Hunger reicht nur ein Hauptgericht (die wir hatten) nicht unbedingt um satt zu werden. Für alle, denen Essen nicht reicht, gibt's auch noch Cocktails!

Me and my wife had an excellent time there, again. This time with another couple and friends of us. We made a reservation this time since we were 4, but even without we have never been rejected before. Sometimes we then had to have our meals on the outside tables. Which is ok when the weather is fair. The food is both excellent and plenty. It took some time to get it this time, and they apologized for it, but it was the fish course I had ordered that was slightly more time consuming to prepare than the course for the others. Yeah - blame it on me!! The staff is friendly and humorous and seems to be determined to give their guests a good time. And when we asked for the bill, we got 4 tequilas on the house. The reason might be the entertainment the staff had watching us 4 Norwegian novice tequila drinkers. Trying to do this proper with the tequilas we ordered ourselves, with the lime and salt in maybe not the most sophisticated way. "Now this is funny. We wanna see that again" Who knows ? We had a good time, could afford it and will be there for a meal next time in London.

Loco Mexicano is one of the restaurants I most wanted to go when I visited London and I don't regret it. Very good food, nice decor and great service. I will definitely go back there!

Had dinner with friends here, and I would definitely recommend the Sangria. Actually, all the cocktails were very nice. The food was great. It is one of the best Mexican restaurants that I have been to. The staff were extremely accommodating with a few unusual requests as well as swift and professional.

I'm really surprised by the reviews as I've eaten in many mexican restaurants and this one the quality of food was dreadful. The starters i.e calamari; nachos and mushrooms all tasted as though not fresh. The mains did not have the authentic Mexican flavour and my friend who lives in Mexico had to return her dish. Overall 3 of us thought it was dire. Sadly would not recommend

Very poor experience whilst dining here. The service is awful. Food was ok, but hardly authentic Mexican. Best part is, they add a 10% service charge to your bill automatically….ridiculous when they send out the wrong starter and wrong drinks! Avoid!

We had a warm welcome at this lovely restaurant on a rainy night in July. The food was delish and the frozen margaritas were amazing. The service was quick and friendly. My husband is veggie and really enjoyed the fajitas. I had one of the steak dishes (can't remember what it was called) and it was top notch. We were so full we couldn't eat all the chocolate cake and churros we ordered for pudding (even though they were scrumptious) but they kindly gave us a doggy bag so we took them home for later. I shall definitely come back - it's the sort of place it would be nice to meet up with friends for a casual fun Friday night.

Fantastic place for a meal, lots of choice, and has that true Mexican vibe. The share platters are something special along with cocktails. Would recommend having a meal before or after the theatre.

Terrible! Never again! We sat downstairs and it was so loud that even if we did not hear our own voice. The waiter brought the wrong food and one meal was just forgotten. In addition, it took an eternity for the appetizer to come. The actual food then came little by little. So that the first were ready with food before the last got the food. The waiters have not understood us which is no wonder with felt 200 decibels! We got elbows from passing children in the back. The toilets look like they have not been cleaned for about 2 weeks. One of the worst I have ever experienced.

That's exactly how this felt in this genuine Mexican restaurant that gives out big Mexican hats to its customers as well as lovely Mexican meals. I was at the local cinema in Victoria before coming here and was told had to wait 30 mins for nachos so decided to come here and sample their own! Only thing non-Mexican about the place was the dessert, which was Belgian. But delicious nonetheless!

Seems not to be super clean place. I ordered juice which tasted like very poor quality. Inside of the restaurant there are pictures of snowy winter, Italy, some other places which completely don't fit to the Mexican place. Food was not bad.

This place is as Mexican as an Englishman wearing a sombrero. The food lacks flavor and the service is what you’d expect from McDonald’s or some other fast food restaurant. The most Mexican thing here is the jaritos sodas and be ready to pay £6 for a single one of those. My expectations weren’t high but this place was not worth the price. Over £78 for 3 dishes and a kids meal with 3 jaritos. Don’t waste your miney

We went for lunch and the food it was very tasty , nachos with cheese excellent, the steak fajitas incredible and the prawns sublime! Also I have to mention the staff are amazing providing top customer service!!! The gentleman in the bar and the manager made us enjoy a nice experience! Highly recommend it!!
